Cool Water Caribbean Summer Edition

What a lovely scent this is. Absolutely wonderful. Not sure why people say that all Cool Water flankers are the same. Unlike Acqua di Gio flankers who bear little resemblance to the original, yes, Cool Water flankers are at the core Cool Water indeed, plus something extra. So Summer Fizz which I also love, adds a strong hint of bergamot, like a combination of 4711+Cool Water. Caribbean Summer in turn, is a bit sweeter, fruitier, fresher but in a very unique, stimulating, and surprising combination and without smelling nasty or sticky. The name is apt, it's ideal for summer. Unfortunately it has no longevity nor sillage. It's better used as a body spray or to be sprayed on clothes. For the low price this can be had, it's a bargain.

All in all a great flanker. Bought 125ml for £15 so I wasn't too concerned if it was something I didn't like too much...ended up really liking it. It contains the classic CW scent but has been really well blended with citrus notes. It opens with a classic CW scent, and slowly develops into a creamy mix of citrus fruits, coconut (which I know isn't listed as a note) and CW. Well blended and smells like summer.

I'm unsure if it's me, and I'm losing the power of smell, but it's another flanker that smells identical to the original, it's iconic, but you expect something a little different, the last few have been, date I say it, a bit dull. The notes listed, I find unrecognisable, the notes in the original fit better.

fizzy, lasts 30 minutes, nice for gym thats it - good scent profile overall for its price tho..

Very heavy citrus opening, but not off-putting. My gf calls it the "lemon drop" fragrance which is pretty accurate. This sits very close to my skin almost immediately but remains uplifting during the hot summer days. You can bathe in this stuff and not choke anyone out. I recommend for casual wear.

If you can get this for $5 or under for full presentation, go for it. Otherwise, don't. I think most of the Zara fragrances will outperform this both in quality and performance.

I purchased some years ago Davidoff Cool Water Summer Fizz. A brilliant splash of citrus notes that didn’t last long but the refreshing effect has for me a legendary status. Sadly this gem was discontinued. Recently I noticed this CW Caribbean Summer and read some reviews and saw the notes and ingredients. For 18 Euro’s for a 125 ml blue bottle I pulled the trigger. Well, the opening is very fresh but also very synthetic and harsh with a very sharp citrus accord. It has some vibes of the wonderful Summer Fizz and definitely I smell the aquatic minty green CW DNA. But after the drydown this one keeps that freshness rather long. And the sharpness disappears after one hour or so. Than a very nice citrus smell stays long on the skin with fresh musk that stays at least 8 hours. So I’m not disappointed at all about this one and gonna wear this synthetic freshie a lot on hot summerdays.

Very nice, as always. To be honest there is not much difference between the flankers, and for some reason I prefer Summer Seas over this one because of the sillage and longetivity, but this one is nice also. The prefect summer scent, always feel fresh, happy and alive using this. Will always have a bottle in my summer collection.
