Cool Water Deep

Cool Water Deep is a spectacular and early discontinued cologne, which has managed to raise the profile of the Cool Water line in terms of personal taste. It is different, sexy and powerful from the start, thanks to the notes of juniper, green apple, kiwi, and cactus. Yes, cactus, that little desert plant that withstands the highest temperatures and yet retains liquid within itself. And this is how I feel when wearing this scent: no matter how hot it is on the outside, I feel fresh on the inside. And maybe that's where they got the idea of the name "deep" for this fragrance. To complement this beauty, we have a more modest heart, with pine resin, cedar barbs and sage. But here comes the base and it explodes in a wealth of notes like labdanum, cypress, guaiac wood and elemi resin, which is wonderful. The result is an intense, refreshing and woody scent, in the same style as a L'Eau D'Issey Intense, for example (I said style, not similarity in fragrances). The projection and durability of Cool Water Deep are great!

Davidoff Cool Water Deep was one of my top daily rotation fragrances back in college in 2005. Too bad it has been discontinued shortly after I fell in love. I remember it as a very fresh aromatic scent, I'd say complex and not very fitting to the "Cool Water" line. It was also different from other blues of the era, - very modern but not as mature/masculine. The fir resin, cactus, kiwi and wood notes are all imaginary creative notes in this one together with a musky base, probably marketing was sick of putting "green leaves", "green notes", "watery notes" kinda generic tags. Nevertheless a fragrance that I can't forget and another one in the club of nostalgia. As far as I could remember, longevity was great with not-in-your-face projection, which was perfect for hot summer days. I could relate from memory are Dior Higher (minus the pear but same musky - green aspects), some aspects of Lancome Miracle Homme and some Polo Blue EdT.

Having tried quite a few male fragrances made by Nathalie Lorson I am truly impressed with anything she attaches her name to. Cool Water Deep is no exception. It is a real shame that Davidoff discontinued this beauty. I'll state straight away that this is easily the most complimented fragrance I have ever worn, a lady in work thought that it was something by Hermes, it really has a touch of class. Another lady said she found it to be "fresh and clean". Scent wise it is a little unusual and hard to describe. Has strong woody notes but is really crisp, relaxing and has a green outdoors dimension. the Cactus and fir resin gives the impression that the scent is made to resist extreme temperatures and I do find it has a cooling quality. Of note, I find Cool Water Deep to be especially long lasting, noticeable for 8 hours at least. Thumbs Up!

This was one of the fragrances my mother got me before I was into fragrances. I remember this being so sharp, crisp and fresh. This is not a mundane boring blue fragrance but rather has a punch. I do not remember it having a decent longevity, or projection. I too, am saddened that this is discontinued as it will always bring nostalgia. Cool Water Deep Davidoff is a very good one by Davidoff for the summer with a good Longevity & Sillage as well ( it's fresh & energetic ) as if u can simply start your day with it , what ever u r in work . gym or just out. Thumps UP Davidoff ! P.S. ( INTENSE) in the future would be GRATE !!!

I loved it when I first sniffed it. it's fresh woody and aromatic with a hint of musk. very masculine. longevity:8+ hours and sillage:6 hours I give it 8/10

It's a nice one, everything sweet and fresh here. Yet this one reminds me of something else, which escapes me at the moment, but it's definitely not the original Cool Water. This heavy reminiscence however raies the question why it's called "Cool Water" in the first place - couldn't they have thought up a new name? ***

Like it. It reminds me strongly of a woman scent i once had but i can't remember which one. It's fresh, Woody and quit sweet. So definitely unisex. It is a likeable scent for everyone so good for every day. 😊👍🏻

It’s fine one of my first scents. I’ve used it for a while and really only got compliments from my mom. Definitely an old staple that is timeless; however, personally I prefer the original over this one

Well, Cool Water Deep puzzles me bearing its brother's title. IMHO, they only share fresh and aquatic sensation but not the total impression of the original. If "deep" means a deeper dimension of aquatic interpretation, this juice simply fails. I expected Cool Water Deep to be more on boldness, coldness, sea breeze or somewhere along these lines. I found none of these in the juice, which is irritating to me. Instead, it is a very sweet juice with minimal longevity and sillage. IMO, sweetness is thanks to the incense note in the drydown. ☻▬☻▬☻▬☻▬☻▬☻▬☻▬☻▬☻▬☻▬☻▬☻ I still prefer Cool Water over this one. ☻▬☻▬☻▬☻▬☻▬☻▬☻▬☻▬☻▬☻▬☻▬☻

Not that great to be honest. Not what I expected but it was cheap. Ok for daily use but nothing great. Just not worth the cool water label.

A very sweet and fresh aroma yet still very much an inviting one that lingers with even after you’ve left its presence; I can see a cool, calm and collected man wearing this, a masculine fragrance with notes of apple, mandarin, cactus and labdanum, aromas that suit this fragrance for sure, although the cactus note was a surprise. This was another 2 ml fragrance that I took on holiday with me and if I’m honest I didn’t spray that much, and upon reflection I wish I did as the aroma of Cool Water Deep is quite lovely. It’s a shame that it is discontinued. Longevity and silage is really good lasting anything from 6-8 hours, very comfortable to wear in the summer season. Overall, any person who likes the outdoors will like Cool Water Deep. As it’s a very fresh fragrance that can be worn in the summer months by anyone who wants to smell clean while still feeling confident that they can accomplish anything.

This is a wonderfully crisp, invigorating fragrance that seems to still be readily available on e bay in the UK. Davidoff are somewhat strange with their flankers as they seem to withdraw their best fragrances such as this, Echo, Cool water Summer Fizz etc to churn out mediocre Cool Water flankers that smell the same year upon year. This doesn't really smell like Aqua di Gio it has its own character and for me, is much nicer than Aqua di Gio!

A lumberjack real man kind of scent. Very woodsy and sexy. A cedar, fir resin and sage bomb. Very VERY faintly softened by a hint of apple. But you have to have a good nose to smell that note. (or get really close to the man who's wearing it ;) Silage is: "I am in the woods doing manly stuff" - Longevity is: "all day long". Great for men who like to smell like they just came from a day in the great outdoors. Yummy!

One of the best fresh fragance as the freshness is indeed taken to the next level (top note). After the drydown the scent sweetens a bit & looses the "hit wave" of top notes, but still keeps the aquatic note all time. This makes it very pleasurable & comfortable to wear in a hot summer day. Also the lasting power is very good.

Found a bottle of this on FB Marketplace recently for $15 cad. Snapped it up. Got home tested it and it's gone bad 🤧 the box looks extremely vintage. The sticker at the bottom has been torn off. So can't check the batch code. It's most likely one of the earliest batches. Anyway I'm so bummed. Was really excited for this. ☹

Im glad i found a bottle of this wonderful juice. To bad its discontinued, which means i will go easy with this one. A great mix of rather unusual notes which makes it stand out from other summerfrags. You dont ”need” this in your collection but if you find a bottle i will recommend you to pick it up.

This smells like a man to me. So serious, so grown up, so deep. It's quite elegant, but still strong. It makes a statement. I'm just not the biggest fan of the bottle. It's alright, but to me it looks like a flask.

Blast of pine and orange! After a while, the orange disappear and soft musk replaces it.I agree with ropname, the becomes sweeter. Piney note is always around. but it doesnt last long on me.

Refreshing and safe, against the held sentiment for the original, I find this one preferable. I don't like the salt of the original, this one removes it and allows the scent to be clearer.

The drydown is very similar to Acqua di Gio. Nice summer fragrance with good longevity and projection. Too bad it has been discontinued.

I used this fragrance in 2007, the truth is that it smells great and is very masculine, fresh and sexy.

Just tried Polo Blue today and it smells really similar to Cool Water Deep

Too woody. Smells mature. Very similar to Polo Blue but with ammonia.
