Cool Water Into The Ocean for Men

Have no idea why i bought this, maybe the low price tag lured me in or the nice bottle and packaging design i am a sucker for summer fragrances and summer edition designs even though i know there most probably going to be bad. I have the original and its a good summer fragrance, but this is just another money grabbing flanker it smells clean, fresh, citrusy, slightly salty with a musky dry down and also has that original cool water dna, but its just lacking something you can see from the lack of notes they just pushed out the same old generic oceanic summer edition stuff . its ok overall 6/10.

I like this one much much much better than Cool Water.Period.

I picked up an almost full bottle of this recently at a second-hand store, and was REALLY excited to see a limited edition flanker that -- while bearing the Davidoff Cool Water logo -- didn't have the same note breakdown as the original. I sprayed it on, and the opening comes across as a fresh and minty men's sports fragrance, in the same vein as Polo Sport or Drakkar Essence. Which is fine, I sorta like that style of fragrance anyway (as do my coworkers, who were quite impressed with it when I let them smell it), so there's room in my small collection for something like this.... what I can't get over is what happens to this fragrance after about thirty minutes to an hour. After about thirty minutes to an hour, the minty fresh and sporty smell levels off, and the fragrance turns into a less obnoxious version of original Cool Water. I mean, it's definitely green and slightly aquatic smelling, but it's Cool Water, minus the weird mossy accord that I despise about Cool Water. Are ALL the yearly releases like this, just OG Cool Water base notes with different mid and top notes, or am I being punked?

this my review for the scent... Flankers don't bother me at all. I own and love the original cool water, so i figured why not try this one? It smells like cool water but lacks the depth that the original had. In my mind, into the ocean was deep and mysterious like the deep ocean, but it turned out to be a really simplistic, and watered down version of the original. It still has that nice smell but it gave me a big disappointment! It's water and orange!! just that! Oh! And it's so light you can't even smell it on your own skin or clothes after 10 minutes. It's there, you can feel it's there but so light and airy. That is not, in any way, the ocean... Sorry Davidoff!! No need to talk about projection either!

oh, come on Davidoff, you need to stop this Cool Water flankers thing! make new fragrance, and make a good one, please!

Although it's apparently not very popular with fragrance enthusiasts (understandably, as it's an ordinary "fresh/clean" fragrance), CW Into The Ocean is one of the best at what it does. What I love about this fragrance is that the original Cool Water is very much present in the heart accord of apple, lavender, amber, and musk, yet the top note is different and the herbal-amber drydown is also a departure. The top note is a beautiful (and seamless) arrangement of tomato leaf, basil, sea salt, peppermint, and just a drop of Calone for that melon-aquatic sweetness we've all smelled a million times before. Sure, it's not original, but the synthetics are good quality and note separation is very good. After about ten minutes the original Cool Water accord of lavender and apple on an ambery base asserts itself. This accord is almost identical to the original, except instead of crab apple they managed to merge the Calone with the fruit and convey a sweeter red Fiji apple. There's also no tobacco note here, although that makes the dihydromyrcenol and ionones smell denser and a little richer, giving off a solid violet flower aroma for about twenty or thirty minutes. This never really disappears once it establishes itself, but the amber eventually dominates, with accents of basil, mint, and musk. Every note coalesces and stays coherent for three hours before dimming down to a barely-there skin scent. I think legitimate complaints about this fragrance could center mostly on it being a little too light and ephemeral, and I personally think the tobacco note could have been left in there for some added dryness and contrast, but the salty-fruity vibe is pleasant and well done. And here I thought this fragrance was just regular Cool Water with a "save our oceans" campaign printed on a picturesque box. Had I known it was a different formula that smelled so good I would have picked it up sooner.

Just got this on sale since I guess it's an older version. I think it reminds me of the original. It's fresh and zesty. Is it synthetic? Yes I think it is a bit, but not too much. I think for the low price tag this kind of goes in the same genre as Invictus (without smelling the same) but just for a lower price. Is it an overwhelmingly amazing fragrance? No I don't think so, but I think it's a pretty good one. You get what's fair for the price. I just wore it for some hours and I actually think longevity seems alright for a summer flanker (at least for this version). Sillage is not huge - but it's for hot weather so it's good it doesn't chocke anyone out. Seen the Clean Shower Fresh cologne for men? It's kind of expensive - this does exactly the same thing.

R u kidding me , Davidoff Cool Water Into The Ocean for Men , what's next Davidoff Cool Water In & out The Ocean for Men , the year after that Davidoff Cool Water between The Oceans for Men................................. Oh My God ! My advice to Davidoff is to innovate , don't imitate !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a very good safe summer edt and lasts surprisingly well for a marine aquatic fragrance. I think it is very different from the original Cool Water with a new sage and basil blend that goes very well with the marine and fresh mandarin and juniper accords. This is a unique fragrance in it`s own right...nothing like Cool Water.

I know most of CW flankers and this one is best to my mind. Lasts long and the opening is beautifull, drydown was not really pleasnt for me though.

Lister.. it's as u said. Next name is "davidoff cool Water Ocean Wave, Cool Water Ocean Blue and blue intense..etc " :)

somebody have any idea about how this essense smell? i do not wear liquid names on my skin! so i dont care about names

Next version will be : CW Finding Nemo With an orange zesty hint in it :-) Im sure its fresh and oceanic all the way.

Come on guys, let's see a proper review of the fragrance rather than a slagging off the name please...
