Cool Water Man Summer Edition 2019

Comparing this to the 2018 summer edition, while the difference is bigger at the opening, they become similar after 40 mins. It's a very nice summer composition with a nicely fitting Cool Water DNA. I really love the scent but the very bad projection kills it for me unfortunately :( composition 8/10 performance 1/10

I have an early 2019 batch. For me this edition is like a fresher lighter version of the Lancaster Cool Water, with a citrussy opening and a nice performance - for a Summer fragrance. It's perfect for casual hot days and allows you to save your vintage bottle for the rest of the year or for some special moments.

Light citrus notes fade away within one hour. The rest combine into that earthy soapy feeling skin scent where a lot of them turn alike afterwards. IMO Aramis is still better than many modern formulations and if anyone wants a notch up just get the Creed's GIT it is the most cleanest soapy scent. Scent 6/10 Sillage 3/10 you need a lot of overspraying otherwise it is a skin scent. Longevity 6/10 about 4 - 5 hours Value 7/10 Not bad for the price but many cheaper scents of old formulation with light n heavy projection of their respective top notes will be preferred by me over this.

I love the vibration of cool water after a shower or shave. and this big fortune for $14 suits me perfectly. it has a very tart citrus chord at the beginning, then a feeling of cool water for 1-2 hours and calms down with a sweet sandalwood-everything you need after a shave or a summer shower

It's a good one. I have the last 5 or 6 years' worth of CW summer flankers and they're only subtly (if at all) different from each other. Sometimes I wonder if it's just my mind playing tricks on me. But whatever. I'm a total Cool Water addict. Have been since the early 90s. These special editions smell amazing and if you wait until mid-summer, you can usually find these on the clearance shelf at Kohl's for $20ish. I agree with the other two reviewers below. Performance is certainly lacking here, but I have a carton of empty 5ml pocket-sized atomizers I purchased from eBay and they come in really handy for frags like these. Personally, I kind of like re-applying throughout the day. The blast of citrusy aquatic freshness is fantastic!!!!

This is well named - a lighter citrus take on the original with a creamier dry down. Beautiful grapefruit in the opening which lasts for a good 90 minutes or so before fading into the background and the original Cool Water DNA completely takes over. I find the addition of the citrus a great match as it comes across less harsh than the original and you are left with a better creamier aquatic summer fragrance. Performance is not the best but you can really just overspray until your heart is content. Absolutely one of the dumbest reaches in hotter conditions and an absolute bargain for this great twist on a timeless classic. 9/10
