Cool Water Ocean Extreme

Smells exactly like Gillette shaving gel from the cannister, which I actually love. Synthetic but fresh and minty sweet with an oceanic bite, however not that realistic sea-like funk. Just very fresh, clean, generic but not in a boring way. Put this on if you just had a clean shave and want something to cool your skin (not actually on the shaving area though). Smells far better when worn on chest or neck rather than sniffed up close, as you can sense the synthetic nature in close proximity. Works in all settings and seasons, mostly use it for summer nights but even in winter it adds an extra sense of crisp and brisk coolness. Love it Forgot to say performance isn’t that great, not terrible, but I don’t really use it for that personally, I just use it as a pick-me-up whenever I want to feel fresh, clean and put-together after a night shower. Rambling on but whenever I wear this I am always reminded of Blade Runner 2049, the synthetic cyberpunk neon-blue rain aesthetic, probably because I was wearing it whilst watching the film but still, it adds to my enjoyment when wearing it

The addition of seaweed really separates this flanker from the past several years offerings. I have almost every CW edition released, and can tell you that most of the recent ones basically smell the same (Coral Reef, Pure Pacific, Into the Ocean, Exotic Summer, etc). It's odd that Davidoff released two Summer flankers for 2016 in the men's line, this and Exotic Summer, but this is definitely the better of the two. If you have the original CW, or one of the other flankers, this one offers enough variation in scent to have both. I don't get the Night Dive similarities that another reviewer mentioned; Night Dive is a warm tobacco vanilla scent while Ocean Extreme is a salty seaweed smell somewhat like a mix of the original Cool Water and Bvlgari Aqva Marine. Definitely a thumbs up from me.

Smells amazing!! One the most unique limited editions Davidoff has released in quite some time. However...I just wish it had better (or any) longevity. Lasts for 90 minutes at best. But it smells so good that I'm still glad I got it. I think it makes for a good midday pick-me-up, a quick blast of refreshment if you're dragging through the afternoon. Ocean Extreme has just enough of the original Cool Water dna that you could layer some of that with it to provide some lasting power.

Davidoff Cool Water Ocean Extreme is for me the best in this Cool Water line. It has the original DNA but it comes across much fresher and louder and an excellent warm weather fragrance. Those sea notes are making the statement in this one that linger all the way down to the base! A beautiful and lovely scent that gets an 8 out of 10 for me!!! Longevity & Silage are average to around 6+ and 2+ hours respectively! 👏🤗👍😁❕

Reminds me of creed green Irish tweed and Erolfa creed mixed. And yes I have both creeds. But it doesn't last long is good when you want something light that smells like creeds and is cheap. Don't know how long it last or what just got at tjmaxx for 19.99 so we will see. If you like Bvlgari Aqua Marine Dior salvage and creed and such you should like this it has same family smell.

Cool Water Ocean Extreme by Davidoff is a Aromatic Aquatic fragrance for men. Smell like i'm in the sea!! Smell like Bvlgari aqua pour homme marine+Davidoff cool water!!

this and wave are maybe the best cool water flankers out there. masculine yet playful with hint of the retro/heritage but yet modern. 7/10

Smells so close to Chanel Homme Sport Extreme !

Davidoff Cool Water Ocean Extreme is a nice flanker to the original Cool Water. It is a little bit of a on the nose flanker to the original. That said it is more lighter and summer day ready than the original is. I mean the original is nearly an all year, all day scent. This however is more minty than the original while fairly close to it. That said it is in no way as minty as Cool Water Night Dive is. I notice the mint, the watery notes, lavender and the seaweed. These are notes I do like so it does smell nice, better than Cool Water but it don't last. I get about and hour of highly soft/slightly moderate projection and about three to four hours as a skin scent. It is like, as I found with the original Cool Water but it isn't that unique. It maybe unique to its genre due to the added seaweed note (which isn't overly common) but it is nothing truly ground breaking as Bvlgari did it with Aqva Pour Homme and various flankers of Aqva Pour Homme. I can't say however that I hate this scent. I'll wear it for a dumb reach when I'm at work, going on errands or for vacation, but I don't think I would get another bottle of it. Due to the lasting issues and how use wise it is limited to summertime day dumb reach and use I can't rate it super high. I do like it but I can't rate it any higher than 7.1 out of 10.

Thumbs up for EvanOz85's review below, I agree, no real similarities with Night Dive which is actually a total different scent, I don't even class Night Dive a flanker, Davidoff should have marketed it as something new. Anyway, Ocean Extreme is the best flanker for Cool Water in three years IMHO (the original is one of my favourite fragrances and I have all the flankers back as far as 2013), definitly a step above summer seas/exotic summer/coral reef as I really struggle to tell them apart. This one shares just enough of the originals DNA but is more bitter, darker and quite masculine. Reminds me (just a little) of Aqua Quorum, refreshing and quite strong. It's a solid like from me :)

It's interesting that the seaweed is listed as a base note in this fragrance since the opening salvo of Ocean Extreme is an iodine-heavy slap from a giant frond of kelp. Just as it begins to register in those first few seconds and the regret is about to set in, the marine funk is gone. Just... gone. This could be a result of changes to the juice over nearly ten years in the bottle. What's left is a pleasant and subtle version of old school Cool Water that I prefer to the original, perhaps due to the reduced prominence of mint (another possible side effect of age).

Really like this one. Clearly a little brother to the original but different enough to distinguish itself. Salty marine, and not overly seaweedy but gives it a real ocean feel. The other main notes are Rosemary and Juniper. Faintly floral, slightly woody but not in a warming winter way, more dry and fresh like Driftwood. Unfortunately projection and longevity are low-moderate. Good for warm-hot, dry or muggy outdoor conditions. Smells just like you’ve come from the beach. Kramer would be pleased!

Smells a lot like Bvlugari's Aqva Marine.. clean and aquatic. Ocean Extreme, however, is missing the floral undercurrent that runs through Aqva Marine and this makes the seaweed notes in Ocean Extreme more jarring. this is not an unpleasant fragrance, however. Longevity is good and got mine rather inexpensively. Not a bad buy...unless you already own Aqva Marine than it's a redundant one.

great summer scent. smells like the ocean in the best way - sporty and masculine too. the seaweed note is definitely there and I really dig it. the only downside is that it is obviously very artificial, but it doesn't bother me too much. decent 4-6 hrs longevity. 7.5/10

This will offend no one. It's a nice clean, salty fresh frag that will get you compliments and smells different enough to the original to warrant buying it. Doesn't overpower and lasts around 3 hours. Dumb reach gold medal winner and great beach holiday scent.

Love this one, the best flanker of them all!! A little bit of the original and a little bit of Light Blue Intense by Dolce & Gabbana. And the drydown is similar to The One Sport by Dolce & Gabbana. A winner, IMO!

Very prominent mint - juniper at the top, followed by a somewhat unpleasant seaweed note. Could have been a bit more interesting, but not the best flanker in the Cool Water line

Wait a minute I read the comments expecting all hate on this and I'm confused because to me it stinks bad like something is rotten maybe I just got a bad bottle I paid 60$ for a 6.7 it came in a cool time can I thought it was going to be awesome but yuck the worse cologne I have out of the 300+ I have because I'm addicted to trying new fragrances so I figured I'd try all the cool waters and the only one I liked is the intense it's so good and woody but this ocean extreme is horrible I'm wondering if I should try a different bottle because the comments on here make me wonder but then Ross the YouTuber guy said it was his worse purchase ever also so now I'm confused lol cologne buying is so dang tricky and hard and I'm sorry for not using punctuation I'm just lazy and don't like using them because I always push the wrong buttons trying to push the period on the phone so there Karen's now you know lol

I am so impressed with this, it's a proper masculine fragrance, very oceanic and salty, yet deep and very invigorating, I get more of a vibe of the original Cool Water if I'm honest, yet deeper and more extreme. It smells wonderful, but as has been mentioned, the downside is that it doesn't last long enough, nor does it project well. Better on clothes then on the skin in terms of longevity. Thumbs up from me.

This one smells like most of the mint-heavy flankers to CW I've tried, except with an obscenely gargantuan synth-salt note smeared across the otherwise polite aromatics. Like experiencing CW Coral Reef through a cloud of Dollar Store Sea Mist deodorant spray. No thanks.

Cool water/Bvlgari aqva marine “lite.” If you like either of those than this is for you on those hot nights in the club, night beach walk or really anything outdoors.

Smells minty. It has more in common with Night Dive than with the original CW. It isn't extreme in terms of performance either, just the standard Coty strength.

This is pretty much D&G Light Blue Pour Homme. I have zero idea why that or Eau Intense, aren't the top "reminds me of" picks.

If this is a toned up version of the original, then I can't wait to get my nose on this...if I can.
