Cool Water Reborn Eau de Parfum

Good for office, formal occasions, moderate performance on skin but good performance on cloths(7-8hrs) Opens very smooth and clean, opens a little sweet greenish citrusy, perfect for after shower fresh feeling smell, dries down to light sweet fennel plus Vetiverish smell. Doesn’t give headaches, due to a lil herb and sweetness can be worn In evenings too, projects better in airy spaces than humid spaces, mild sillage, good projection for initial few hours. Overall good for price, doesn’t resemble any designer flanker, Davidoff maintaining it’s unique essence Overall a good blind buy.

Great perfume! Simple, Masculine, decent performance love the bottle. Never used the OG Coolwater as I use Green Irish Tweed. This is a nice path and new direction. Definitely smells familiar but also different and new. For the price this is solid. More casual not sure about using it for Dating or formal. However 9/10 -.losing one point for performance. Worth a sniff!!

It's good for summer , it has citrus or some kind fruity lemon note at top but gets herbal over time. It's good but projection and longevity is a trouble need to spray 10-15 to get that trail. It's like you are a walking herbal shop , clean , fresh and green. It's smooth at dry down not harsh , stays at cloth after 9 hours. Overall it's a good perfume.

What a great take on the Cool Water DNA. Lasts about 8 hours on my skin with decent projection! Pick this up at discounters for 30-35 bucks. Fans of cool water or green scents in general this is a must buy for the money.

As seemingly the first person here writing a review to have actually tried this fragrance, I can tell you, it’s better than fine. Sprayed lightly, it makes for a great inexpensive and versatile fragrance for work or school, amped up with a few more sprays you could wear it into the night on a date or clubbing. My nose immediately likened this to Chanel Platinum Egoiste, only with better performance, I can only wear a couple of sprays comfortably before it starts to get overpowering to my nose. I don’t really get the notes on this one quite in the way they are listed. I get a linear fragrance held on the skin and projected from it with a powerful hit of some sort of Ambroxan related molecule that gives the scent a cool, salty, metallic feel, linking it figuratively to the Cool Water it was named after. Nothing like the original in physical terms, which is a good thing to my nose, that has tried Cool Water multiple times but always leaves with something else. If you’re not a rich snob, nor are you offended by flankers to a fragrance released in 1988 and you want something kinda like Chanel Platinum Egoiste, only that doesn’t send you into debt and has far better performance; try this. And if a snob smells it on you, likes it and asks where you got it? Don’t tell them, or make them go waste their money at Chanel for a perfume that lasts a quarter of the time.

If you like Rasasi Hawas Ice or other Invictus Aqua-like fragrances, then you will certainly like Cool Water Reborn edp. The price is considerably less than Hawas Ice, and this fragrance is quite similar. Cool Water Reborn is a fresh fragrance than shines in the spring or summer. It certainly would be okay to wear in the office as well. This is a solid 6/10 for me. The fragrance is pleasing and inoffensive but it's slightly boring and redundant to me. Overall, this is a great value, and it would be great if you are new to collecting fragrances or your a younger guy ( early 20's or so).

Herbal, blue and green, masculine, darker than expected. It stands somewhere between the classic Cool Water edt and Ralph's Club Parfum. There's a hint of old school in that but in general it's a modern blue fragrance. Very versatile, gym, errands, office, even an evening date thought it's not very original (as expected). I bought it second hand for very cheap but on its own it's not necessarily worth a buy as you most likely own something similar. Having said that it's still a very cool fragrance.

thank god this has nothing common with any of the countless sauvage(-like) flankers and clones. davidoff plays his own league and yep, its a good one again. d&g intenso meets platinum, only a bit darker. very nice. 7/10

Like the others in this line so far, this smells great. It's a sweet and woody galbanum bomb. Unfortunately I don't get good performance on skin with this one, but on clothes, it's decent.

For me at least I realize I just don't like this type of scent dna, I don't know if it's the ambroxin or what but it's headache inducing. I figured I take a gamble and buy the 2.0 ounce, so no big deal I didn't lose a lot of money, but I will be gifting this to someone. You should sample it yourself and make your own judgement, again it's not my type of dna.

The OG Cool Water Eau de Toilette managed to achieve something for itself. Not only did it offer a much more affordable route of getting a scent similar to Creed's $300 Green Irish Tweed, but it also was one of the fragrances that initiated the aquatic trend in perfumery. At least so it is said. Cool Water Reborn Eau de Parfum, on the other hand, does nothing to achieve not even 10% of what Cool Water EDT did. There also appears to be an eau de toilette concentration (Cool Water Reborn Eau de Toilette) which I haven't tried, nor will I bother, so don't expect a comparison between the EDT and EDP here. You shouldn't expect a complex composition with Cool Water Reborn EDP either, because it's quite simple and stale. The first thing that greets you is a very well-known synthetic sweetness with the typical bubblegum similarities that so many fragrances have shown and still do since Invictus EDT was released. It is then freshened up as the sweetness mellows down, leaving room for some gently piney galbanum show through, appending some green touches as well and a bitter/aromatic, sort of balsamic edge. But of course, nothing qualitative or actually expressive. The cedar joins to provide a whisper of dry, warm woodiness, but also somewhat oily, while the vetiver is barely there, trying its best to further intensify the woody edge with added earthiness. Doesn't manage to do much, though. And yeah, that's... pretty much it. No plot twists, no depth, no "unexpected bang-for-your-buck gem". Just another designer profile that doesn't dare to dive into uncharted territory. Performance was expectedly pretty disappointing here. It somehow managed to stretch longevity approximately to 5 hours, while projection was largely gone after the first 1-1.5 hours, within that first hour getting pretty gentle pushing power, apart from the first 10-15 minutes, of course. But versatility was unsurprisingly the strong suit of Cool Water Reborn EDP, as is with every other composition alike. This is made to be as wearable as possible, regardless of weather and regardless of occasion, although I certainly wouldn't see it fit for special events. For daily wear, the office, school, sports, that's where its birth might start making some sense. But even there, there's no need for this. The market is well beyond over-saturated with scent profiles such as this one - synthetic, sweet, some woody/fresh aspects. And to name this fragrance "Reborn" as if it is doing something innovative is nothing more than a knee-slapper. It's not even that good of a value proposition, as it goes for around $50-$80 in most places, although if you search deep enough you might find it for a little over $20-$30. Regardless, Cool Water EDT goes for less overall, and it's also a better overall scent. So without a second's thought, I'd go for the better-established Cool Water EDT, for Cool Water Reborn EDP died at birth. Presentation: 5/10 Scent: 3.5/10 Longevity: 4/10 Projection: 3/10 Versatility: 9/10 Value for Money: 3/10 Overall: 4.5/10

Bartca, to answer the Parfum is like a Dior sauvage that is a lot more aquatic. It lists vetiver as a note and I don’t smell it. Like at all. Lemon yes, amber, yes. Water notes certainly. It’s even pretty light on the pink pepper in my opinion. The thing is with the Parfum is that it’s linear. It smells mostly the same from start to finish. It performs amazing in high heat, non existent in cold. It’s solid though, but don’t pay over 40 for it. Reborn EDP is very different. Honestly it smells more like profundo/profundo lights than cool water parfum. Reborn EDP opens very fruity but I have a hard time identifying what fruit. Honestly I think it’s tangerine. As it dries down to the mid it gains a herbal quality, the galbanum is there but I also detect like a secondary floral there too. In the mid it gets pretty fresh. Reborn EDP actually has a very substantive vetiver note, with the cedar also being there. It smells sweet from start to finish, but like fruity sweet not candy sweet. It’s a sweet woody fresh smell for the majority of the smells life. Reborn Edp does well in hot and cooler weather, a step more Versatile. They both are safe blind buys and safe for office use. I get 7-8 hours out of 4 or 5 sprays on my shirt. The Reborn is like, modular in the sense that if you apply more it becomes somewhat classy and could be a dress up cologne, whereas the Parfum I think is a bit too safe for that. My opinion the Reborn Edp has the same punchy strength as the Cool Water intense, just it has a more natural everything.

The best qualities of galbanum mated to the worst qualities of vetiver. This is nothing like the Reborn EDT or CW Parfum. And not in a good way. Think of Reborn EDT, minus the sweetness and fruitiness, plus some spiciness. The galbanum is what keeps the scent fresh for a bit: without it, this fragrance is just hay-like. I don’t like the idea of using spices to raise the longevity of fragrances, especially not when it is so cheaply and synthetically done. Hot take: this fragrance doesn’t deserve the “Cool Water” moniker. Sure, Sauvage lovers will like it. Luna Rossa lovers will like it. But on the face of it, it’s just a poor take on a spicy, green, ever-so-slightly fresh fragrance. Come on Davidoff, you’re better than this!

This is entirely different from the Cool Water DNA. The classical Cool Water has a soapy detergent smell (which I hate) and settles into the territory of Creed GIT (note - territory/ borderline; I would never consider it to be a clone of GIT). Cool Water Reborn EDP starts off with a fruity opening (lasts for an hour), which passes quickly through a green/ herbal middle note and then into incense/ patchouli notes that stays on your clothes for 5-6 hours on a hot day. The smell is there even after the 6 hour mark but you need to sniff it close to your skin or clothes. It's a nice and inoffensive fragrance for work or casual meetings (not the gym !!!!).

Wasn't expecting a fougere barbershop scent, but this one has a rough opening the leather is super dirty and earthy but the dry down becomes really nice. This leans in the same direction as MFK masculin pluriel and Roja Elysium Noir, but the quality here is not as good you can tell this is much cheaper quality. Leather isn't listed on the notes but it's the main note of this fragrance when you smell it basically leather, vetiver & lavender.

I own reborn edt and just picked this up to check the differences. This is almost the same DNA, but done with a slightly sweeter touch. The original reborn edt is a fresh, metallic shower-gel galbanum fragrance. Reborn EDP keeps the same DNA but adds a bit of modern shower gel sweetness. Imagine the step up in sweetness between YSL Y- EDT and YSL Y- EDP. Same DNA but sweeter. I'd say it's redundant to own both.

I'm wondering if anyone can speak to how this compares to Cool Water Parfum..... which came out 2 or 3 years ago, got some love from YouTubers, but seems to be quickly disappearing. Similarities? Which is better? Quite curious about this.

This is one of those “MEH” fragrances. The galbunum note is really all this is. More versatile and longer lasting than the og but not better in terms of originality. For your buck just go for the og cool water.

When will they get the hint...no flanker will beat the original. To add, the current CW is a shadow of its once former self. I have a Lancaster bottle that I wear occasionally to remind me of CWs better days.
