Kimono Kihin

This was a blind buy based on their website’s fragrance finder quiz. It has a Chanel vibe but doesn’t smell like any Chanel’s exactly. As someone who spent her early 20s using Mademoiselle quite religiously, this is reminiscent due to similar notes but not the same. I think it is significantly lighter on the patchouli and not sweetly cloying. It’s safe and pretty but not terribly unique. It’s good if you aren’t in a particular mood but still want to feel put together and elevated.

Kinda smells like sunscreen. I don't really smell the iris but I get a lot of citrus at certain points and it's very pleasant. I wish it had less vanilla and patchouli and was more centered around the citrus, but overall I like it!

A more mature presence, this is a fragrance coloured all velvety purples and deep, mysterious hues. Plum and jasmine create a sense of richness, with a vintage glamour vibe. Beneath it, its chypre backbone hums—moss, woods, the kind of structure that once defined elegance but now feels a little out of time. Just as you expect it to crescendo though, it softens into a musky, powdery embrace, nostalgic but a little dated. Reminds me somewhat of an old poetry book you left open on a quiet musing afternoons ago. Something beautiful, refined, but missing this intensity that truly would make it linger.

This just released in the US so I haven't had the chance to try it yet, however, the description on the Decorté website says it is mainly Iris centered perfume, which is not listed here. Sweet citrus opening to a floral chypre body. It actually reminded me a lot of Coco Mademoiselle, which has a similar bergamot/mandarin top, jasmine/rose mid, and patchouli/vanilla/musk base, so it has a similar elegant feeling. However, it is lighter and a bit less base heavy than CM. Pleasant and safe blind buy.

Although label say eau de cologne this jewel is more like an eau the perfume. I’m at loss of words! I smell iris but of a different kind. And oh Jasmine! Extremely intriguing! Very feminine very Japanese
