Aura

Aura smells so beautiful. On initial spray, a sweet, juicy pear definitely hits you and would make you think it’s a fragrance meant solely for the spring. However, as it dries down, I smell the caramel, vanilla, the white flowers, rose and patchouli and it brings you to a more cooler weather temperature type of scent. And the marine/acquatic notes show up, somehow beautifully blended with the multitude of flowers, lemon, pear and the gourmand ones. I think Aura works well for most seasons, besides winter. It’s too floral and marine for temperatures below freezing. As expected by checking the notes, Aura smells very floral forward with a smooth, rich sweetness. Some might say it’s too sweet, I love it. As it settles, I started to pick up on the warmer, earthy notes that blend beautifully with the initial fruitiness. It’s such a nice fruity/floral, gourmand, woodsy scent, I am so pleased with picking it up in travel size. This is the first fragrance I have tried from DedCool and I love it!! To me, Aura smells luxurious, decadent, delicious and complex! It’s not super intense, but lasts well and it projects, leaves an addictive trail in the air, and makes me feel happy. Very mood boosting perfume and I find the name, Aura, so fitting for the way it smells. Can you tell I’m obsessed with it???

When I first smelled this, it reminded me a lot of a sweet red wine. Then after it dried down a bit, the wood-ier side of the fragrance really shines. I'm not usually a fan of woody scents, but this one was gentle and moody, not overwhelming! I can see this becoming a new favourite of mine!

This is sweet and fresh. Not powdery, it's very much like a gorgeous herbal essence scent. This is a nice scent to wear before or after gym sessions, or when you are at the beach. It manages to not be too Floral or too Fruity, just a fresh lovely scent.

Aura is very pretty. Light, sweet, and airy. Definitely more of a springtime/summer fragrance, it smells like sunshine and spring flowers. Reminds me a bit of Valaya by Parfums de Marly.

I think this is my favourite Dedcool scent. I am thinking my nose is broken because of all the hate yet I love it!!

this has been my daily wear since i got it as a gift for christmas, and i love it! i tend to swap between unisex scents depending on mood, so i was happy to get this as a more feminine option. i'm surprised that some people say this perfume is that it isn't long-lasting. i don't sweat a lot, so maybe that could be why, but usually i put this on before leaving the house and i can still smell it pretty strongly when i get home. i'd definitely recommend this for anyone that's curious!

I'm surprised that people don't like this; it's so generic and inoffensive. I also do not get pear at all, but maybe that's just me. My issue is that it is completely forgettable, and about as generic and universal as the slang term "aura" has become. Fitting! I got a small sample, and unfortunately, it is one of the least interesting dedcool scents I have tried. Would not purchase a larger size, but it's a pretty safe blind buy for a gift in my opinion.

It is a nice fruity fragrance, it is a bit "niche" for a clean fragrance but too normal for a niche fragrance. The smell does last longer than I expected but it is definitely on the quicker side. It feels like a safe fragrance to wear since it is so neutral and inoffensive; I don't think there are people who hate a pear and caramel smell.

its kinda like Red Dakota but amped up and very like fun summer surfing vibes as opposed to the nostalgic-feel i got from Red Dakota. definitely a fun summer fragrance. adding onto like the summer feel/vibes i get: it feels very like 'Mamma Mia!'-esk in a sense but also like magical and mystical mermaids.

This has the same DNA as DKNY Be Delicious--it's not quite as juicy, but it's an aquatic, fresh fragrance that leans more pear/apple than lotus/jasmine. Be Delicious has an apple juice core, this one has a more champagne core. I like it. Inoffensive and unisex. Smells like: Be Delicious for adults.

When this first launched I was super excited to get my hands on it and it did not disappoint! I personally like it and find it inoffensive. I would have to agree with the other comments though to not blind buy. I think it works great during the spring, that kind of vibe you know?

I really love this perfume, one of my favourite "clean" scents. I wish it lasted longer, but I find that the fruitiness does last on my skin the whole time. I wish more of the woodiness came through, but it's a very sweet pear scent.

This one is ok. It's not a love but I don't hate it. I'm sensitive to patchouli and it's not what I'm craving in this summer day. Just not an amazing scent for me.

Nice but a bit dated and generic. Reminds me of the original Ed Hardy perfume which I had when it came out, a bit too Y2K

Received a travel size of this i got cheap from Ebay today along with another of dedcools ' perfumes ' now I'm not sure that this initially intended for sole use ,as in its best wore alone . I feel like it should be added or laid down 1st then something else that you wish had more emm more ,if that's a thing . First off, I'm glad that i got the travel as going by the notes I would have loved this FB but saved myself some cash ( don't blind buy a FB dont blind buy a FB ) being my new mantra, made too many mistakes . That being said its not offensive to use on its own ,you can't really smell it unless you actually bring youre nose to it .So for the sake of giving it a fair go ,I'm going to layer it with a blind buy FB of NEW NOTES caramelo vanilla and see what happens . I do love the odd gourmand but NN with this didnt hit the mark sadly . So this will be my own wee experiment to see if I'm selling the NN or not . If anybody has any idea how to make a perfume be perfumey and perform better ,please let me know lol ill come back and see if it works ,wish me luck !!! Ohh I will add ,I do see why dedcool do laundry detergents btw ,coz tbh this would make your bedding and towels smell nice 😄

Going in blind: Fruity, bright, pungent! Burns my nose a bit. Cran-apple, green tea, citrus, salt, gardenia, magnolia. Soapy pomelo. jasmine? Clean, fresh. Kinda manly and aquatic. Limonene. Round and sweet, salty. Reading the notes... Pear, jasmine, lotus, cassis, lemon, marine all are clear... I get the rose and caramel too. Not getting the patchouli, vanilla, or cedarwood. The salt and citrus are loud, at first. This is not my kind of smell (jasmine, marine, citrus, pear), but I really am enjoying it (fresh on). It's good! Citrusy, floral, soapy clean-girl but very chic. I'm getting amber and berry on the dry down. Edit: thinking this was a fun bright fragrance, I sprayed this on a hot pink linen shirt (and didn’t wear it), came back to smell a couple days later... reminds me of a urinal puck :( salty jasmine and caramel apple. There is a hint of soap. No refreshing and sparkly citrus to be found, it fully evaporated. Final verdict: It’s not for me, I’m not a clean girl or a jasmine lover.

Aura was advertised on the sample as pear + cedar + caramel, so the strong aquatic notes here came as a surprise. Initial spritz is sweet, wet, almost ambergris-adjacent. This isn't spring rain, it's definitely summer ocean. I can totally see the lychee comparison from Angel Nova. Bouncy lotus competes with deep-set jasmine to create a nice floral backdrop, further complimented by the comfort of caramel woods that hold a hint of salt from the oceanic top notes. Caramel is my least favorite sweet note, and I'm not really a fan of the pear trend (perfume or real fruit, pear always smells a little rotten to me), so totally acknowledge my heavy bias here ;-) This scent is sparkling and clean yet comfy, perfect for your friend with a slicked back bun (I am not that friend LOL)

this dedcool fragrance is alright. it really feels like they just threw together a bunch of notes and hoped itd work out; luckily, it did somewhat, though its surprisingly more generic than youd expect from the notes listed. its mostly cold and wet pear with some citrus and floral padding around it. this scent is loaded with so many different notes that make it smell almost disturbingly different from person to person. on my mother, it smells almost sour and the caramel note is actually there, unlike on me, which is just pear and flowers. in short, a pretty generic though weirdly specific fragrance, full of notes varying from person to person that makes spraying it feel like "will it smell good" roulette. do not blindbuy!!!

I blind bought a travel sized based on the notes and having good luck with DedCool in the past. I honestly don't get most of the notes. On my skin, this is a fresh fruitchouli. It also smells like something my mom wore in the early 2000s and I'm pretty sure it's J'adore. In the opening I could also get maybe something similar to DKNY Be Delicious. On the dry down I can also see the likeness to Mon Paris? I don't hate it. I will use my travel size; but I wouldn't FS it. It's also very "typically perfumey" compared to alot of DedCool's other scent...it's a nice smell, but not unique. Edit: I ended up returning. This gave me a headache and just didn't smell anything like I had hoped.

When this came out, I was really excited because the notes appealed to me and dedcool has a number of standout scents. I was about to blind buy it, I was fairly certain I’d love it. I’m really glad I opted for a sample instead. I really wanted to like this, but honestly it came off kind of generic to me. It’s a simple, clean, light, fruity floral. But all of it together came off kind of basic, and it didn’t have anything interesting going on, and the projection & longevity were extremely lackluster for the price, even for the average a clean-girl skin scent.

Aura is a pretty generic scent compared to the rest of Dedcool's lineup (which I am a big fan of!!)- it seems like they switched gears a bit with this drop and Sunlit Blooms- to more fresh/fruity/floral territory. I definitely get a mix of aquatics and sweet, dewy florals like lotus and jasmine, maybe some lily and honeysuckle? And then the pear is there- but moreso disguised as a mix of sweet, caramelly fruits. It reminds me of a lot of 2000s celebrity fruity florals- not quite something I would gravitate towards day to day but could be a nice gym scent!

Blind bought a travel size because my name is Aura. Smells sickly sweet with caramel and pear taking center stage. It has a weird background scent like a harsh sun or possibly hint of water park. I want to like it so badly for obvious reasons, but it is a very heavy perfume fragrance and I prefer natural "skin" scented ones. I will continue to give it a chance and allow it to grow on me because I can't bring myself to return it. I ended up giving it to my mom who enjoys it.

i reallyyyy like the opening of this one but the dry down is a tad too woody/earthy for me. it starts off as something aquatic, fresh, and sweet, before giving the cedar and patchouli center stage. very truly unisex, but not something i'll be upgrading in size unfortunately

It's a light, airy, fruity floral. It's a "nice enough" perfume, but totally forgettable. If someone said to me that it's a £5 body spray from a drugstore I would believe them. I have a tester. I will finish it, but won't miss it when it's gone.

when i think of the word “perfume”, this is the stand in fragrance my brain defaults to. it’s pleasant, but it smells like the air in a department store perfume section. a very perfumey perfume that doesn’t necessarily smell like much either?

Candied fruit in the natural orchard. Musky, sweet. Synthetic. Doesn't resonate as natural at all. It's a little heavier, more obviously a fragrance: THAT smells good, not YOU smell good. Definitely reminiscent of early '00s trendy frags.

Nothing groundbreaking happening here. Generic, fruity clean scent. Reminds me of Be Delicious and other popular scents of that era. This would be a good one if you really just want to amplify that fresh out of the shower smell

Inoffensive summer scent that doesn't give me a headache. Reminds me of being at my cottage, smells very nice paired with wet hair and sitting in the grass in my backyard but I found myself not liking it anywhere else sadly.

Juicy, sweet - reminds me of scents I gravitated towards in high school, but is a bit more sophisticated with the cedar coming through. Really lovely, but a bit too sweet for my personal preference

Clean, lightly sweet, and appropriate for all ages and gender expressions! It’s a more noticeable 000 by le monde gourmand with a bit of crisp citrus-y white florals

Reminiscent of the late 90s era... when I wore Ralph Lauren Romance because I got it for Christmas, not necessarily because I explicitly wanted it.

I find this really generic and boring which is sad! It's a very safe synthetic citrusy aqua scent (borderline headachy for me) which seems so out of character with the rest of their catalogue!! I personally love taunt and xtra milk so bought the set of 3x 10ml bottles which included Aura and I'm struggling to see how I'll get much use out of it - maybe a clean gym scent or layered with something to temper the slighty acrid vibe.

Full disclosure: my skin eats up perfume more greedily than me eating snacks at a buffet, so I may have just given this the lowest longevity score of any of the votes. However, this is a quiet fruity scent which stays fleetingly on my skin for around an hour and then disappears. It’s a beautiful juicy, musky pear, which then settles into a sweet floral. It’s lovely but I couldn’t commit to a full bottle.

If you've ever walked outside in spring and seen those trees with the white flowers that smell like rotten fish (the Bradford pear tree), this smells exactly like that. But just slightly less like something rotting. I think it might be the combination of marine notes and caramel that makes it smell like these nasty (and invasive!) trees.

This one is not for me - strong miss! Heavy to the point of almost sticky, and overworked. Some of the stronger notes, like rose and patchoulli, are too much and too forward, and on me it all ends up a bit of a mess and it is far too synthetic. Others aren't getting the same, so def worth a sample, but NOT a safe blind buy!

33/100 smells so cloying and synthetic. it’s too intense and stereotypical “girly”. thick floral/ artificial fruity + sharp mineral fresh. so nauseating. smells like something from Confessions of a Rebel (and i mean it in a bad way)

very bright, sparkling, and youthful. reminds me of all the scents i wore as a kid, its giving aeropostale, rue 21, pac sun fragrance vibes. could definitely be fun for those y2k girlies, but definitely not for me!

Generic fruity scent from the 2000s that later develops into hot garbage. I love nostalgic fruity fragrances, so this was a massive disappointment. And what an odd combination of notes

Smells like garbage. And faintly. So bad. I don’t like it at all. I don’t get most of the notes. Only slight fruity floral grossness like a fruit cup and some old roses in the trash.

Generic, smells like "walking past any perfume/ cosmetics shops". Not bottle worthy. Decant regret. Terrible.

Got this as a sample. It reminds me of Wild Poppy from Nest. Very synthetic and outdated imo.

I love DedCool- MochiMilk, Mineral Milk, Xtra milk, but Aura is sooo bad. It’s like plastic and sharp and yuck. I got a tester set from Sephora, so who know, maybe it went bad. But if this is what it actually smells like, I don’t get the hype. I was extremely surprised, because I love most of the notes. I’m a huge fan of pear, musk, marine notes, vanilla, caramel, and cedar wood. Jasmine I also love, the actual flower when it blooms and the essential oil are so fragrant and dreamy, but then for some reason, some Jasmine perfumes smell like clean baby diapers or baby wipes. I don’t get it. Rose is hit or miss. Sometimes it’s beautiful and delicate, other times it’s in your face or too mature. Patchouli is also a hit or miss. But overall, I don’t feel like Aura smells like any of these, which is why I think I got a bad batch. I will give it another try if I ever find another bottle to smell.
