Ivy Blanc

I am a picky gal with perfumes. I still only have the sample of this (quickly dwindling) but I am actually obsessed. I have taunt from dedcool full size and it's my holy grail, but when i want to spice that one up a bit, ivy blanc is STUNNNNING. I was surprised I liked it so much because my taste in fragrance leans more sweet/warm/fresh rather than woody/spicy/foresty. For reference I loooove notes of vanilla, ambroxan, amber, pear, rose, light citrus, bamboo, mint...etc. Ivy blanc has such a freshness from the bergamot and pink pepper which comes out a lot for me, but it also has a grounding semi-sweet amber base that makes it woody, fresh, and comforting all at once. I like it more than Madonna lily because it doesn't have the bug spray note- I like the smell of citronella, but it threw me off a bit to smell like it all day lol. I really don't get the cleaning solution or general male cologne vibes from ivy blanc personally, but it definitely has a spicy woodsy profile that I feel is truly unisex. It also lasts really long on me even with a single spray which I love with because fragrance hardly ever stays on my skin. Will 100% be buying the full size of this when it releases in the 1.7 oz, such a beautiful scent that I'm surprised isn't as loved as other dedcools!

for me the dry down is very similar to byredo gypsy water

Spicy, masculine scent. It has a very fresh opening which I think is the bergamot but you definitely get the incense and the pepper. To me it smells like a very classic mens cologne with a little extra spice. I can seem how someone said it smells like a cleaning product, but I think of that in a good way, fresh and clean but with a dash of Pine Sol.

Spicy and fresh fragrance with woody notes. Have to agree with the cleaning solution comments though - I think I would prefer this scent as one of their room/air fresheners. Unisex but masculine leaning, not really limited to a time of day or season but I think it would be nice in a milder transition season like fall!

Ivy Blanc is just okay, it smells like a weak mushy drydown of a male chypre fragrance - peppery and mossy but without any real character. If you want an oakmoss fragrance, please just get any budget chypre perfume, the drydowns of those (like Halston) are so much richer than this. Kind of smoky with weak incense, I do smell the bergamot, but overall it does smell like a mishmash. I've tried 7 scents from Dedcool now, in my opinion Blonde is the best and most unique of the lot.

The oakmoss and pink pepper is a nice combination, unfortunately this also reminds me of cleaning solution.

The opening smells like some sort of deodorant. Then the Pine Sol takes over. And, just to make matters worse, it's headache inducing. Big no.
