Milk

its so soft, comforting, and lovely, but you gotta give it a couple of tries. its like being this soft warm lovey thing with a little bit of mystique, maybe from the amber or the woodiness. it’s a very creamy little scent. not super lactonic, but comforting and soft in a similar way. i was seduced by the name!! at first i tried this after sniffing a couple of sephora nozzles, and by that time i was so nose blind that it smelled like nothing but a spritz of alchohol. so i didn’t return to this scent until the next week, when, as an afterthought, i applied some to my wrist and waited for it to dry down. during my appointment half an hour later my nose was glued to my wrist. the initial alchohol spritz goes away almost immediately. it’s gentle and enchanting. it’s almost buttery? very ambery. a hint of sweetness, like tree sap or sweet milk. my ADHD coach did not appreciate me having all these fragrance epiphanies during our meeting. for sure a “your skin but better” scent, and it’s for SURE a skin scent. super intimate. unless you’re thrusting your wrist up people’s noses or hugging them left and right, nobody’s gonna compliment you on this bc it’s so light. good thing i’m always thrusting my wrist up people’s noses. “i already know your wrist smells like perfume, i’ve smelled it like three days in a row” “stop asking me to smell your wrist” this is a cuddle scent for sure. ik not everybody does, but i love the oil texture. this is one of my favorites :)) my only issues are the price ($90???) and the sillage. my favorite compliment is “you smell nice”, and wearing this you might not hear that a lot (except from partners or family, and like, other people you’d hug.) i adore it. the smell feels like a soft, warm hug melting away my anxiety. i would make it my SS if it had any sillage >:(

I am on a lactonic mission and DedCool Milk can’t be beat. This scent is perfection. It is so simple it is genius, and the most purely lactonic fragrance I have smelled that remains a sweet musk without teetering into sweet cream, vanilla or marshmallow. This is cold fresh milk on your skin and lasts all day- and it comforting and warm, ever so slightly sweet, and makes your skin smell amazing. I keep searching for something to surpass it, but I can’t. This projects, but is not cloying, and everyone seems to enjoy it because it does not smell like perfume, it smells like clean skin with healthy musk. Sometimes I want to sweeten it up and I add Commodity Milk or Blanche Bete. Sometimes I pair it with a pungent fruity fragrance or a nice vanilla and it really pops. Great with other skin scents like Glossier You or Another 13. The only thing I can’t pair it with is anything with rose- it just turns old and dusty. It’s funny because I really don’t like the other DedCool fragrances but this one is perfect. I like it more than XTRA Milk as well, though definitely similar. Price is right as well so highly recommend.

You know how babies smell faintly milky but with a hint of subtle sourness? That's this scent. It truly is the faintest powdery musky amber with a hint of citrus, and that slight citrus sourness is what gives it that milky baby skin scent, I believe. I wish it was stronger, but also if it was stronger it might take away from the scent's charm. It's so faint that it's almost not worth the money, but for people who want a scent that sits very close to the skin and isn't shrieking, "Hi! You! I am a perfume!" It's honestly kind of perfect? It doesn't smell like a perfume at all. It makes you smell naturally sexy in a--dare I say--fertile way? It's so freaking beautiful. And it's super sexy. Like, insanely sexy, but not in a "clubbing, one night stand" kind of way. It's sexy in a "soul mate, want to have their babies right this minute" kind of way. If a man smelt like this, I would marry him. I wouldn't be able to stop myself, but in saying that, I feel this smells beautifully feminine on me. P.S. If you love lactonic scents, you need to buy this!

Oh, this might have changed my life. It's beautiful. It smells like you've been swimming in a chlorine pool all day, you showered all of the chlorine and sunscreen off of you without soap, but you can still smell traces of pool water, sunscreen, and a vanilla perfume that you spritzed lightly six hours before. It just BLOOMS on your skin. It makes you smell like you've been in the sun, but you're not sweaty. It's beautiful. I can't smell it for about fifteen minutes when I first spray it, it's literally nonexistent until I get it warm. And once it gets warm, oh wow. It's so good. I can smell it on myself for twelve or more hours. This isn't a smell for a crowd, this is a cozy little secret, just for you and the person who will be kissing your neck. It's sexy, creamy, just a little dirty, but in a good clean way. I'm telling you, I went through one tester in two days. I couldn't stop. I wanna drink it, I can't get enough. I hope this never gets discontinued. This is my new favorite perfume.

This quickly became my signature scent as I wore it for every occasion, every day, anytime. I'm not sure what happened though because the recent bottles I've purchased haven't been as strong as previous bottles and I've also noticed that they're not as oily on the skin once you spray it. I'm looking to make Another 13 my new signature scent because the newer bottles of Milk just aren't really doing it for me anymore. I love the scent and the notes as well as the idea behind the brand but I wish they'd keep it more consistent. The scent lasts a long time on my skin and it doesn't smell sweet or milky in any way, it just smells like clean laundry that is ever so slightly citrusy- but like you'd have to be looking for the citrus smell. Nothing crazy, clean and simple, perfect for me <3 Also Xtra Milk does not smell the same as Milk, in my opinion it isn't just the 'stronger' version of Milk, it smells different, almost like too sharp for me. I wonder what it is.

where do i even begin with milk... this has become my new favourite scent. i had blind bought this along with taunt, and they pair together beautifully! however, i was expecting a milky note to reflect the name of this scent, but it seems to not really be part of the composition in any way. a bit of a misleading name. nonetheless, it's a beautifully light, comforting, scent that truly lives up to the "your skin but better" title. it's perfectly creamy and warm. i have been looking for a musk that i can wear all-year round, and milk definitely checks off all my boxes. it's a very personal scent. if you enjoy beast-mode scents that get you noticed while passing others on the street or at events, then milk is definitely not for you. this is a scent that your date will smell in the car, or something that works perfectly well in an office setting. i just wish it wasn't so oily! i only spray this on my skin now, as it has left stains on my clothes.

I genuinely think this is my soulmate in perfume form. I have merged into one entity with it. It's just how I'm meant to smell, so this review is essentially a love letter. I definitely get compliments on it, but not in a "I like your perfume" way, but in a "How do you smell so good?" way. It definitely seems to read differently on different people, but on me it's the perfect balance between clean but lived in, lactonic and creamy but airy and fresh, sweet but grounded. Feels like a long day at the beach, skin warmed by the sun, coming home for a long shower and putting on sun-dried clean clothes. I find the longevity incredible, especially on fabric, and while the projection is fairly intimate, I think that really lends to the skin-like quality of it. It's dreamy. The most effortless but elevated skin scent.

Similar to all the "This perfume reminds me of..." in the list, its easy to be nose-blind to this fragrance. It also needs heat and moisture to project (I own all 5 of the top voted similars--they all do) I notice that I can only smell them when I'm in a warm environment, fresh out of the shower, a brisk walk through the rain, after the gym, when sitting in my car with the windows up, under a thick sweatshirt radiating from my pulse points etc. There's no reason to spray this on clothing or hair. Its a close to skin sweet amber and my absolutely favorite signature fragrance. I honestly love the exclusivity of its anosmic quality, I love that some people can't and don't appreciate it, because between this, JHG, and Persian Garden going viral, I'm tired of smelling it on anyone who isn't me lol.

bought this last winter and wore it throughout the spring. i think the animalic notes really make this such a comforting scent for me. i don't always go for intimate fragrances, but this feels like a hug to me. reminds me a lot of skin by clean. i never got too many comments about this one until a delivery man came to my door to drop off a package. as he was leaving, he turned around to tell me that whatever i was wearing was the best smell he's ever smelled. he said that he couldn't quite place what i smelled like, but that it was the kind of smell that makes people unforgettable. it made my day! i think i'll have to return to this at some point, it's perfect for the end of the year.

This is a staple for me. It's a perfect musk on me, not quite FRESH laundry, but clean laundry. Like you've just showered and nestled into clean sheets. Sometimes it reminds me of kissing my darling cat on her head, smelling her soft fur, which smells like sweet dustiness (iykyk). I use it as a base layer whether I put anything on top, and often wear it to bed. When used as a base layer, it just softens and feathers out the fragrance I'm wearing on top. Florals become less screechy, airy spun sugars become a little more grounded, and resinous woods become a little less sharp. Calling it a perfume doesn't seem right, it's more like pantyhose, or underwear for perfumes. I love it.

I have trouble really differentiating this from Le Labo's Another 13— which honestly I guess is great since I'm not mad at paying dedcool prices for Le Labo smells. Sillage and longevity are both better, too. I was thinking this smelled an awful lot like dedcool's Taunt as well, but I just and read on the website that Milk is the base of all their fragrances (which is interesting b/c I don't smell it at all in Red Dakota or Blonde but okay) so I guess that explains it. At any rate, suffice it to say this is an incredibly lovely cozy musky skin scent: if you want to romanticize your life and feel more put together than you actually are, Milk is an easy every day fragrance.

I am obsessed with this beautiful skin scent, it's become a new go-to in my collection. I cannot stop smelling my wrists whenever I wear it! It is bright and fresh but somehow soapy and musky with a tiny bit of sweetness. In general if you like ambroxan type scents, this is probably up your alley. I was somehow noseblind to the "Xtra Milk" flanker, but this one i can smell on myself for many hours after. I also get lots of compliments whenever I give someone a hug while I'm wearing it. It's hard to overspray and the price for a full bottle is quite reasonable if you can get it during a Sephora sale.

I love this perfume so much. It's the perfect clean, unoffensive scent. I don't think it smells anything like JHAG Not a Perfume. I layer Milk with Nemat Amber oil. The two smell very similar, but Milk has a lightness and freshness (from the citrus) that elevates the amber scent. It doesn't have great sillage (more of a skin scent), but when I hug someone, I always get compliments. Unfortunately I do go somewhat nose blind to it after a few weeks of constant wear. Taking a break from the fragrance allows me to smell it again. It will forever be in my rotation.

If you can't smell this, your nose has become sensitized from too much synthetic scent or you use too much perfume. It is deff light, but unmistakably there -- initially as an amber musk scent that dries down to YOU, but distilled. I smell no bergamot at all. For me, it smells like bare skin on a sunny day -- a tiny bit powdery but mostly just like skin, just condensed. I love it. It's the best DedCool offering IMHO. I would hug anyone who smell like this for a looong time.

Def my holy grail skin scent. This works sooo well on me solo, without other perfume. Sultry, sexy, strong, yet sneaky and subtle. JHAG smelled awful on me. DS&D I Don’t Know What was too sandalwoody. And I have Molecule 01, but I never wear it because it’s close, but not quite right. Like just a little too sweaty/salty. Milk is replacing it on my perfume shelf. Couldn’t be happier. And, no, Nemat's Amber isn't the same, even though everyone on Tik Tok will tell you that.

This is a clean and warm "fresh out of the dryer" kind of scent. It's extremely subtle, but nice if you're particularly sensitive to fragrance or are looking for something to layer. Xtra Milk is a favorite of mine, so I thought I'd try this out as well. If you have Xtra Milk, you don't need this, but I do enjoy layering them. They perform particularly well on clothes, both in terms of longevity & also giving your clothes a lasting freshly laundered scent.

I like it more than Xtra Milk because it's slightly nicer on my skin but saying that feels like saying Fuji Water tastes better than Aquafina if you know what I mean. It's like sure it's slightly nicer to me but at the end of the day they're both water. Both scents are soooo faint too I cant imagine spending so much on a full bottle once I finish my minis. There are better more interesting and longer lasting skin scents out there.

There’s something captivating about this scent especially an hour after it’s dried down, and i love my wrist close to my face I catch a whiff of the scent and it makes me want smell it more. it’s a skin scent but a bit spicy? i wish it was a bit sweeter. it also doesn’t last super long, and the projection is quite weak. I enjoy it because scents ai can actively smell throughout the day lowkey overstimulate me 8.7/10

I was contemplating buying the detergent so wanted to refresh the specifics so came here. And then I saw all the reviews. Would have to disagree with it being a skin scent. Everytime my friends worn it j have smelt it CLEARLY and it’s really nice. Came here to comment after seeing all the reviews saying it was a skin scent. I disagree. It’s probably like eccentric molecules and just not easy to smell yourself.

This was a blind buy for me, it had a scent profile I knew I'd like since I already loved Not a Perfume and now Milk is my absolute favorite fragrance ever. It's comforting and familiar and feels like "you but better". It's perfect on its' own or to layer with. I want to try Xtra Milk next, but this is a 10/10 from me. I get asked about it almost every time I wear it and will be buying backups.

As someone who’s super sensitive to strong scents and doesn’t like anything too “perfume-y,” this one honestly surprised me in the best way. The dry down?? Love it! I find myself sniffing my wrist from time to time. It’s just so warm and cozy! It doesn’t have crazy sillage or anything — more of a soft, close-to-the-skin hug — but honestly, that’s what makes me love it even more.

Cool, soft, and effortlessly clean. Milk smells more like powdered milk than creamy milk. Dry, airy, and slightly sweet, like milky almond dust. The musk gives it that just washed feeling. When I first got this I was absolutely underwhelmed. It’s basic. Since then, I’ve almost used up the entire mini and am ready for a full size. This scent is a real workhorse. Perfect for bedtime. Perfect to mix with almost anything to make a scent lactonic. (I’m really into that at the moment). Recently I can’t stop mixing this with JHAG Sunny Side Up.

I love me a good amber scent ! I use amber scented deodorant and Amber Blossom fabric softener l. This is a dream perfume, fresh, sweet , with a hint of powder. I’m so scared for this to get discontinued or reformulated because it’s genuinely so perfect❤️ I have the travel size but I’m getting the full bottle as soon as it’s restocked.

Nearly identical to nemat's Amber which I love. maybe a little bit sweeter & has slightly better silage than the nemat oil so that's great. I really dislike JHAG Not A Perfume & don't understand why people are saying these are similar other than they're both skin scents. This is much better and one of my favorites for layering.

I was so sad when I found out that Commodity Wool was discontinued because I loved that fragrance so much. Was very happy to learn that this is almost the perfect dupe when it interacts with my skin! A very cozy and slightly sweet, comforting scent with decent longevity.

With only three notes, this fragrance truly radiates less is more in a light clean essence. It is perfect for layering other fragrances or even as an everyday skin scent which is non offensive. This lasts longer when sprayed on clothes.

Kinda smells like the musk that radiates off of someone you love. Like when you love someone so much you want to bury your face into their armpit even though you wouldn’t dare do that to anyone else. It smells the your lover’s armpit.

I tried this two years ago and found it be too much akin to sour milk. Two years later, I love it.. creamy, gentle, subtle, breast milk and babies head, skin. Sits very close to the skin and dissipates almost immediately.

I am in love with this scent. It gives me the same endorphin rush I get when I smell my man. It is beyond sexy and addictive yet calming and comforting at the same time. Like sexy cuddles lol.

It’s okay. Pretty basic. Nice dry down, but very light. Good office vanilla. Overwhelming scent of alcohol when sprayed. I def don’t need a full bottle of this.

My husband said this smells like an old K-Mart, but in a comforting, nostalgic way--like, how stores have this generic, cleaner smell in the air that mixes with the metal of the shelves and the faint trail of perfume that lingers after a customer walks past you. In a bizarre way, what he's saying is correct. This perfume smells like perfume that's worn off and leftover on your clothes but in a fluffy, warm cotton and something vaguely marine or musky kind of way. There's maybe something sterile in it, but I appreciate that. Sometimes, you don't want all the bells and frills of a really fully fleshed perfume and you just want to feel/smell clean or soft. This isn't a soapy clean, but moreso almost the aftersmell of a lemony cleaner that dissipated a few hours ago and warm cotton. It is almost a perfect dupe (or perfectly duped by?) of Nemat's Amber Fragrance Oil, but this perfume has a slightly peppery opening that differentiates it. I think the bergamot really takes it to a slightly different place than Amber Oil. They're a great layering combo, though! For me, the perfume disappears as soon as it's sprayed, but I do enjoy the laundry products as someone with really sensitive skin who wants my sheets to just smell a little extra clean-- those products really deliver. This perfume is probably a good pass if you have Nemat Amber already, but the price point is really not too terrible.

It smelled like nothing on my pulse points and then I suddenly got a whiff of a lovely musk thats warm and —dare I say—gives off a creamy slightly vanilla gourmand scent ( with my chemistry, at least). This is the kind of perfume you wear when you want to smell really good without smelling like you’re wearing perfume. It smells like when you skip perfume and body spray, but washed and moisturized with a an earthy body wash and body lotion/butter/oil. It has that kind of subtle scent trail, but performs like a perfume. I got this as a free sample with their “Taunt” scent which is a woody citrus thats almost as mild as “Milk” and layers quite well with it. I have layered this with other scents, as well, and it always smells nice with other milk or vanilla scents. I wore this with commodity milk & Skylar vanilla sky the other day and it was delicious. Will I purchase a full bottle? Maybe? I do know that I’ll probably reach for this on really casual days when I want a subtle “clean” scent without smelling like perfume. The best way to describe this is as a pheromone enhancer, but only if it’s compatible with your body chemistry. I like it.

Bought the Dedcool sample set and here’s the first fragrance, Milk. First spray on paper - an airy slightly floral fragrance. I seem to pick up orange blossom notes, think solar notes. I don’t pick up any milkiness or musk. On skin - the fragrance begins to shine with again a short initial orange blossom scent but that quickly dissipates. A few minutes goes by and the scent develops into a creamy skin scent with a hint of a clean white musk with a smidge of saltiness. The first lactonic fragrance I’ve sniffed and there truly is a slightly sweet, warmth from the amber mostly, that reminds me of the addicting scent of a babies head. Comforting, clean, soft and you have to really inhale the scent to smell it. I love musk scents but don’t get much of that note here. I imagine it works well on warm, moisturised skin after a shower. Noted that the blend seems to have a high oil content as after 10 mins I can still see the oil residue on my skin, probably best not to spray on clothes.

For how gentle this scent is I'm shocked by the staying power. I tried a few samples on today including Blackmail by Kerosene, then attempted to wash them off in the sink, went to the gym, took a shower, and I swear to god the milk actually smells STRONGER than before. Far as the scent itself goes I like it. It's really fresh and bare on the initial spray, and then warms to a milky sweet scent as it dries down. Unfortunately I also realized it smells like one of the old ladies I used to go to church with. Not even her perfume she wore, just the smell of her skin and powders and creams and such. I wish it wasn't as powdery on the dry down for me (or apparently has such staying power since I like to be able to wash them off in case I get a headache). Smells kinda like baby milk.

I have the xtra milk version which I don’t see listed here. It smells like a delicious salty-sweet molecular musky fragrance upon first spray. The consistency of the juice itself is slightly oily which I usually like as I think it will make the scent longer lasting. However, I think I become anosmic to the scent shortly after the initial spritz which is such a shame as I love it for an easy wearing ‘clean skin.’ I’d be interested to see if it’s performance improves as the seasons change and the weather gets warmer. It is a captivating and alluring clean scent but I wish it weren't so subtle. My husband can barely smell it on me either, so I know it's not just me but I feel like I need to investigate further as the reviews were glowing in terms of garnering compliments.

This fragrance has an avoidant attachment style, and it toyed with me. I tried it on a whim at Sephora and fell in love with the sweet, amber scent instantly. When I woke up the next morning and could still smell a lingering sweetness, I bought a full-size without hesitation. However, when my new bottle finally arrived... I smelled nothing. I tried a couple days later, nothing. I tried a week later, barely there... then nothing. The more I chased after it, the more it seemed to withdrawal. Nearly a month later, I’m finally able to smell it again. Why? I have no idea. If you, like me, struggle to smell Milk at first, perhaps with enough dogged determination you, too, will smell it in a month.

*Important Note* If you can’t smell it, it’s probably because you’ve got a fresh batch. Check out the Dedcool samples from Amazon. They’re I guess older (thus have macerated). When I first sniffed samples from the Dedcool website, I thought they (Milk and Xtra Milk) smelt like nothing. From Amazon they’re clearly smellable. I like Milk better than Xtra Milk. Idk it seems to me that Milk is “rounded” a bit softer and “sweeter” even though this isn’t a “sweet” perfume. It’s been said before and I’ll say it again; your skin, but better. Maybe with a slight airy bergamot and salt? Not even sure, it’s just good. Emojis to describe it: ☁️✨🌫️🧂 Overall Rating: 8/10

I tried this on my hand today it was very oily, moreso than typical fragrances. I couldn't smell anything until I went outside in the summer heat and then I got a lactonic, woody musk. Very faint on its own but lasts a while and I can still smell it after washing my hands. As time went on in 100°F temperatures this stuff actually melted and turned into a liquid on my hand again. Very strange. The perfume itself wasn't bad as a molecule type scent on its own. I think as a fragrance booster that can also be used as a standalone, I'd choose DS Durga I Don't Know What. Ymmv. Scent 6/10 Performance 7.5/10

This is a review for EXTRA MILK. I wasn't able to smell this at first but on the second time trying it I loved it! So clean, warm, cozy, fresh on me. Smells like musky clean sheets... a universal fragrance for musk lovers that don't love funk. Because this doesn't perform well on my skin (I go nose blind after 1 hour) but I adore it on my clothes I ended up buying the linen and clothes spray instead of the full sized as I prefer other musk scents like JHAG NaP to this. Overall, lovely!

Topnotes of floral, fresh, and human scents, drying down to pure white musk that reminds me of clean hair. It's super super low sillage and quite weak—nobody further than six inches from your skin will be able to smell this, and it dissipates in a few hours. This is definitely completely unisex, and can go night or day. For longevity, Xtra milk may be the better investment—I've not smelled it but it's higher concentration. Smells like: Walking past a hair salon.

smells oily and weird like clothes that have been sitting stuffed in a closet corner. but when it settles after 10-20 mins it smells beautiful and soft like a clean skin scent. similar to glossier you. i would love it so so much if it didnt have that stale scent in the beginning, but i can tolerate it if i hold my nose closed for the first few mins LOL, definitely gonna wear but i would not spray it right before leaving to go somewhere.

enjoying my sample of this scent. Like a lemon cake mixed with Not a Perfume. Definitely shines more when it’s layered with something sweeter (like it quite a bit when I mixed it with Dirty Coconut by heretic). Liked this a lot on skin but I wish it lasted longer. Very nice but I’m not sure I could justify this when I already have JHAG.
