Xtra Milk

I second the other reviews that say this *has* to macerate if you want to smell it. I was suspicious of this when I tried a little bit of it from a Sephora bottle that was nearly empty. It smelled sooo good...better than Mochi Milk dare I say. But then I asked the Sephora employees to open a new bottle so I could test it more and I smelled nothing. I decided to give it another chance and bought a second hand bottle that is only 5 months old from purchase (and who knows how long it was sitting before that). It smells heavenly. It smells like a sweet fresh musk...like laundry floating on the wind. Like the ammonia-free windex with the light blue liquid. Like sweet clean water flowing over smooth river stones in a creek in a nature preserve in late summer/early fall. It’s all air and water, peace and harmony. That smell that’s obviously sexy and effortless. And yeah even a bit laconic but in a juicy way if that makes sense. Not fruity, but juicy. Did I mention it’s sexy? In an effortless, cool-girl sort of way. I want to wear this when I’m feeling like a Gremlin deep in my luteal phase and want to pretend I’m ovulating. I walked my dogs and kept wondering what that amazing smell was, and realized it was me. It floats away, and comes back, and I could still smell it when I brought my wrist to my nose. My husband even commented “you smell nice” which is big coming from him because he never smells my perfumes unless they are Burberry Goddess or Goddess Intense, which he loves. It’s beautiful. You’re not anosmic, it’s not an elaborate trick that Dedcool plays on its customers. It’s 100% full-bottle-worthy, and you’ll want to get a back up bottle too so you can let it macerate. Considering the price point, I’m now going to make this my main scent. You can overspray without worrying about offending anyone. I’m so glad I found something I can wear to work without giving it a second thought. Update- have been complimented twice in public wearing this. UPS guy said “you smell AMAZING. You smell NATURAL”. Yeah it’s definitely one of those intermittent ghosts that you may not be able to smell the whole time, but others can definitely perceive it on you. And you will smell YUMMY

One of my favourite scents of all time! I loved the nemat Amber rollerball and purchased about three of them at different times. However, each rollerball would without fail get stuck, and I would not be able to dispense the perfume. This perfume smells pretty much identical to it in my opinion, but is way stronger. When I first got the perfume, it smelt like nothing. However, after letting it sit in a dark place for about a month or two, the scent became very strong. One spray is honestly enough for me, and I've noticed it has longevity! It is VERY strong in my opinion, the scent lingers on my clothes and will make my whole closet smell. After doing laundry, the scent still remains on my clothes after several washes. I suppose I am in the minority here with this opinion, but it is what I noticed! It smells so clean, warm and comforting. Not offensive at all. It works well for anytime of the year, but I love wearing it in the summer because it smells so fresh and produces such a nice and pretty scent cloud. Definitely a great everyday scent, but I could see it working for other occasions as well because it is just so pleasant. The amber notes adds some depth and richness, and even elegance. Ultimate clean girl scent in my opinion! I know this scent really blew up on Tiktok, but I have not smelt it on anyone else so I do believe it is a great option if you want something unique and memorable. To me, this one beats all the other clean and fresh scents that are popular (Glossier You, Juliette Not a Perfume, the Phlur fragrances). Honestly one of the most addictive scents I own. Highly, highly recommend!

(bottle i got in january) smells so comforting and lovey. my faaaavorite perfume ever. elegant and soft. otherworldy but also very very human and warm. it's a v intimate skin scent, but i dont mind cause that just makes it more special. it's like wearing your prettiest comfy bra. it makes me feel 100x more mysterious and beautiful. i want to glue my wrist to my nose when i wear it! but am also deathly afraid of going noseblind. the only issue with this fragrance is that sometimes, especially if i wear it too often, it gets super faint. can smell it more consistently than nemat amber, which is also beautiful + very similar other stuff: warm musky slightly oily when spritzed makes my other perfumes better when layered! mega versatile sometimes the scented lotion i wear underneath smells stronger :,) just writing this review makes me crave the smell

This fragrance reminds me of putting on your favorite hoodie fresh out of the dryer. It smells fresh, musky, & a bit like clean laundry. Xtra Milk is an extremely comforting perfume that is the true definition of a skin scent. One thing that impressed me about this fragrance in particular was its lasting power. Skin scents are notoriously difficult in terms of longevity, but with this one I could put it in on before bed and still smell it the next morning. The projection, however, is quite intimate. It’s an incredibly versatile fragrance as well. You can wear it on its own, layer it with other scents, or spray it on your clothes. I prefer to layer it or wear it to bed as it can be a bit one dimensional at times for my taste. Overall, this is a simple yet effective skin scent that I will definitely continue to reach for.

The easiest, no fuss clean musk. Smells like cuddling an angel. I go anosmic to it very quickly but I can smell it on my clothing after the day has ended. Many people can’t smell it, but those who can are almost compulsorily called to compliment it. By far the most complimented fragrance in my collection. When I tell you people like it, they will corner you to ask what you’re wearing, it’s that good. I’m entirely anosmic to the original formula and I think most people are. For the price, I’d recommend just going with Xtra. I will always keep a bottle of this in my collection. Pros: easy to wear, lasts a decently long time, good in any weather, compliment getter, layers wonderfully, no migraine risk, doesn’t offend. Cons: very likely to be anosmic, unfortunate oily consistency.

I’m usually anosmic or partially anosmic (making things smell awful because I can’t smell all the intended notes) to these types of musky scents. I still try as many as I can because when I can smell them I absolutely adore them. This is a true your skin but better fragrance. People won’t suspect you’re wearing anything; they’ll assume you naturally smell good. It’s a light amber blended perfectly with the white musk. The bergamot lifts it just enough to not be too serious but adds no sweetness. This can be used as a base layering note as well. Some reviews feel this has no lasting power but for me it lasts a good 5-6 hours. For a skin scent that’s respectable. This is a perfect every day unisex scent for when you don’t want to be loud. Just a like a cozy blanket.

I first got this fragrance because one of my friends put it on in her room an hour before I came over and I could not stop smelling how good it was. When I bought my first bottle I was initially disappointed as I didn’t get a lot of strength from it. But what made me absolutely love it was how I changed using it! I essentially use it as a primer for my other fragrances and I’ve noticed my fragrances I put on top last longer and seem to project better with this added underneath. It mixes well with essentially almost all fragrances I own. Even after a full 12 hour shift in the hospital I have coworkers asking me how I still smell so good!

I blind bought this perfume, looking for amber perfumes that project better than the ones I already own. When I smelled it for the first time I only got bergamot. It's not offensive when you wear it, so it's very good as an office perfume or if you get migraines. But I wish there was more projection in the perfume, because this is a very nice scent. I enjoyed the scent enough to buy the almost everything set, and I've noticed that's given me more projection. Also using the linen spray on my clothes makes it better. But overall this has become my signature scent, it smells clean and addicting to me. I can't get enough of it!

I absolutely freaking love this, and I could not be more surprised that I do, as I typically find skin scents to be OK at best. Xtra Milk is my favorite take on the genre; it's fresh, musky, and sweet. Part of my love for this might be the "easy reach" quality; we are experiencing the ups and downs of late summer/early fall weather here in the Midwest and this works whether it's 68 degrees or 86 degrees. Projection is basically nothing after the initial spray, but the longevity is pretty impressive. The cozy and comforting dry down is where this one really shines, and thankfully it stays there for most of the wear time.

This is the first perfume that I like enough to own. Not overpowering or headache enducing, just comforting smell that you can't get sick of. I sampled this in store so many times before buying. Initially it smells like alcohol but after a while it becomes more potent, clinging to clothing for weeks after. The bottle I bought though is the opposite-- has a sharp opening but fades almost instantly. I'm not sure if its because its newer or what but the silliage and longevity is disapointing. Everyone I share this perfume with can smell it though so I don't get how so many people are anosmic to it.

Comparing Milk and Xtra Milk: Milk is creamy, musky, cocooning and sweet. Because of it's light airiness, I can smell it easier than Xtra Milk however I cannot smell it on myself after around 2 hours. Xtra Milk has the same DNA but I find it to be a bit smokey (I wonder where that comes from) however that smokiness goes away and it smells like a warm hug -cashmere, sweet, slightly metallic and creamy. I sprayed on Xtra Milk on myself and my sister and we could smell each other even after 8 hours but we couldn't smell it on ourselves. Based on that, longevity and sillage is much better than Milk.

Hmmm.... this is the odd one. Only slight sour smell and a bit of cat's fur scent near skin. Not to mention that it is OILY. I'm looking for something to replace Pinrose Pillowtalk poet since it was discontinued and this along with regular Milk came up as suggestion. Nope, not even remotely close. Thankfully, I got travel size on sale instead of whole bottle. Update: got updated version. Not so oily and has nice, cold musk and bergamot smell. By looking at difference between batches either the old formula wasn't great or it has short shelf life.

This is what I wanted Juliette Has a Gun's Not a Perfume to smell like. An easy, unisex, layerable scent. Smells of Fresh linen, but not in a synthetic way... no reference to actual commercial laundry detergents... not soapy at all. A clean, soft, ambery musk that doesn't turn any which way. Smells great on both my husband and I. Doesn't project much, and holds close like a skin scent, but you will get wafts throughout the day. Lasts a long time on clothing... and they offer a Room and Linen spray 100ml for $40 USD, too.

My most complimented perfume I’ve ever worn. I’ve had people recognize me by my scent when I arrive somewhere before they’ve had a chance to see me. I’ve had people walk past me and say to their friends, “something smells SO good.” People stop me and ask me what I’m wearing. It’s funny because I can’t smell it. I do catch delicious whiffs here and there and that’s enough for me. Especially with compliments from strangers nearly every day. I also LOVE the oily texture.. feels ancient and ritualistic when I apply it. 💘

I love her 💓 it smells like fresh warm laundry, not as cool or soapy as something like Byredo Blanche or replica bubble bath. I own a couple dedcool perfumes and you definitely need to let them macerate. When I first got my full size it barely smelled of anything, and had no longevity. Now after 6+ months it is much stronger and lasts quite a while on my skin and clothes (12 hours later I can still smell it on my sweater)! Projection is not strong tho as this is more of a skin scent. Excellent for everyday

This is my first "second skin" fragrance and I was nervous seeing all of the reviews saying that they were unable to smell this perfume. I received this in the mail through a subscription service and tried this on ready to be disappointed but instead I found a scent that I could wear daily. I find Xtra Milk to be warm and soft but not overly so. I love the bergamot with the musk. Wearing this I feel like I'm about to have a comfy day in. It's comfy and fresh. I'm sure I'll go through my sample quickly

This is the smell of my next door neighbors house where I grew up. Is that useful information to you? No. Is it true? 100%. Unlike those weirdos here that can’t smell it, it smells really soft. Like a warm blanket. My neighbors were great Italian cooks so it’s kinda got that eggplant parm was cooked here over the weekend vibe to it. Does it smell like eggplants? Probably not. But it smells cozy and warm but not in loud way. Just like “hey, you smell nice but not noticeable.” Really cool scent.

Despite the name, this doesn’t smell like milk. No milk not in it, it isn’t even creamy. It smells clean, like your freshly showered even if you aren’t. It’s my favorite “your skin but better” type of scent and one of my favorite bedtime shower routines - body wash, lotion and a few spritzes of the perfume and in the morning I still smell like I just got out of the shower. It’s a light, clean, intimate fragrance. Very unobtrusive so you can wear it anywhere and won’t likely offend anyone.

The fragrance I've repurchased the most and also have recieved the most compliments on and people telling me they can smell me across an icefield. It's beautiful but it's one of those that you wear for other peole not yourself bc eventually you can't really smell it on yourself anymore. That's why I stopped buying it, it's like it became too ingrained in my personality that it was like putting sunscreen on - a necessary chore. Perfume should be fun and thats my issue with skin scents.

This is a true "your skin but better" type of fragrance. Xtra Milk may be one of my most used fragrances because it really is so versatile and discrete. I can wear it to work without worrying about a strong sillage overwhelming the office space. If you are an amber/musk lover this is a perfect everyday scent. The scent is clean, soft and subtly musky which I absolutely adore. I find that the scent profile is very similar to JHAG's Not a Perfume but milder. A lovely scent overall.

this is quickly becoming my go-to fragrance since it’s so easy to layer other scents on top of it (e.g., dedcool’s mochi milk is a perfect pairing when you want to smell a little sweeter). this is my favorite skin scent but i do find myself having to use 4-8 sprays to really get it to “stick,” so the silage is weaker compared to many other scents. with all that said, it’s a perfect powdery musk that complements your own natural scent.

My daughter wears riddle original and is not swayed by ANY other perfume. That’s her signature scent and she’s complimented a lot. This smells exactly the same and so I gave her one. She loves it (riddle is an oil, so she wears both now). It has a very subtle scent that you can become osmotic towards, but others smell it! I was visiting her the other day and smelled it immediately. It’s lovely!

Comparing this to Juliette Has a Gun and Nemat Amber this does carry a similar scent pattern but with a much more lactonic note. Nemat Amber is more pungent, Juliette has a Gun changes more on the skin. But like the first two, this settles into a similar skin scent. The perfume is nice, not my favorite but I do love it as a detergent and for layering fragrances.

I have had & sampled many scents that are “your skin but better” this is my favorite by far! I do go nose blind to it very quickly but it is so so so beautiful. I love using this after a shower, i consider this a “at home” perfume or as a base after applying my creams. It is not screechy, loud, synthetic or peppery. I just love it, currently on my second bottle.

Peek a boo! How cheeky. Now you see her, now you don’t. Elusive, fresh musk. Your friend who smells really good but not into perfume. I can’t see myself not having a bottle of this at all times because there’s just nothing else like it. I do have to spray my heart out though which I imagine we get expensive. If that’s not a huge factor for you, this is fun

My signature scent for daily wear! Smells so clean and fresh, like the softest laundry fresh from the dryer. I don't get the criticism of being unable to smell it, but I prefer intimate skin scents. I always get compliments about how I smell wearing this. Perfect if you want your impression to be someone who smells good over someone wearing a fragrance.

A warm, amber-y musk. IYKYK kind of fragrance. A daily wear that other people can always smell on me even after I don't smell it anymore. It lingers on my clothes through the wash and is just amazing on a sweater. I think the magic is in its simplicity. Also works as a great base when I want to apply a different fragrance later in the day.

Smells exactly like indigo dreams from bath and body works, slightly more elevated and hard alcohol opening. I feel really bad for you if your nose can’t smell it. It’s cloudy, airy, musk, clean but cozy. Wears best on fabric/clothing. Can be worn all year. Especially great with a crisp white button down shirt or a perfect white tshirt.

You know the world has lost the plot when people like "Vaginawhore" publicly post their suspicions that a perfume called "Xtra Milk" is white supremacist. Why, exactly? Because milk is white and this perfume smells wonderful and clean? Too bad they don't make a perfume called Soy milk that smells like rancid garbage or whatever.

It sometimes blends in completely and sometimes smells so strongly. It’s warm and not like a perfume, it’s like someone who smells good and you want to be around them because it’s comfortable and a little bit sensual. Not sexy, not heady like desire, very unobtrusive and in the body, just sensual and inviting

This. I tried it while wandering Sephora on a Sunday afternoon and left. Throughout the day, I could not stop smelling my arm where I sprayed it. I couldn't get enough, hours of smelling it was not satisfying, I needed a bottle of it. So I ran to my car and drove back to Sephora to buy it. Worth it.

I love Xtra Milk!! It is the ultimate clean scent, so fresh and bright. It makes me feel like I just took a luxurious shower. The name is misleading as it is a citrusy skin scent, but I still get a hint of something sweet in the dry down. I don't really think you can go wrong with this fragrance.

I think this might be my favorite fragrance if I want to throw a sweatshirt on. So simple. Fresh laundry. Perfect to add as a base for other fragrances. Some people can’t smell it, thank goodness I can because it’s just so warm (but not warm as in spicy but warm as in a hug).

I love skin scents, and this is a wonderful fragrance, but just don’t agree with it smelling close to nothing- with the few notes it does a lot with it, I really love this scent and feel it is lovely alone and a fabulous first layer, my favorite being Leila Lou by Rosie Jane

I shouldn't like this at all; normally white musks are revolting to me. But for some reason I really enjoy wearing Xtra Milk.. it's very very subtle, at times I can't even smell it. But then it appears again. It's a really pleasant skin scent for me.

My go-to, all-time favorite perfume ever. So soft, mild, and cozy. Inoffensive and very skin-like. Comfy and pleasant are really the best way to describe it. Just like a pile of warm, freshly dried laundry. Even better when you layer it.

Lovely clean laundry scent, warm cotton. Tried the detergent, dryer sheets, and room/linen spray. Helps a room feel fresh and cozy. This smells pretty strong to me, but 50/50 in the household who can smell it or not! Fascinating.

so yummy -- a clean, creamy skin scent. i used to wear glossier you but the pink pepper/iris notes were just a touch too sweet/sharp for me. xtra milk doesn't give me any headaches and is a super intimate and warm scent!

My bottle is from 2023 so I don’t know if they changed the formula or not but this is my most complimented fragrance!! Whether and church , work , dinner date, or event I always get compliments when I wear this.

Definitely love this scent as a 'skin but better' scent. I like to mix this one with my more sweet gourmand perfumes to make them smell more muskier and sexy. Great on its own though!!

I love it so much!! It has quickly become my signature perfume and sometimes I blend it with fragrance 03 Blonde (also by DedCool) which I also love. But on its own it’s magnificent.

Clean laundry on warm skin. Layering this with other sharper scents can really bring them back down to earth. Warm hug after a long day kind of smell.

i ran out of it and keep the empty bottle in my desk drawer to huff instead of taking a nap on the highway and it works. it's great.

On myself, I was like "ok but what's the point", but on my boyfriend it made me wanna jump his bones.

You know that one person who smells too good to be innocent and swears it’s just their skin? Yeah. They’re lying. It’s Xtra Milk. Been wearing this one on and off for weeks alongside the original Milk, and I can say outright that Xtra is definitely the evolved sibling. It has more presence, depth, intent. But it doesn’t try or beg for attention. It doesn’t need to. Made to work best in close quarters. Couch. Movie no one’s watching. Someone buried in your neck, trying to decide if it’s you or something else entirely. Spoiler: it’s both. 🔥 Xtra smells like skin on its best behavior: warm, undone, indecently inviting. The olfactory version of the no-makeup makeup look men always fall for. He’ll think you just naturally smell like this, and you’ll let him. Sexual chemistry is always an inside job. Despite the name, it’s not lactonic at all. The “milk” here is metaphorical. Comfort, not cream. Like the idea of warmth and physical closeness that’s up to no good. It’s human, animal, and angelic all at once. The first spray hits alcohol-sharp, so don’t flinch. ’Cause once it settles, you’ll be done for. It turns into this subtly smoky sweetness, like molasses over low flame, sugar with an edge of burn, maybe a marshmallow that didn’t make it out of the fire. There’s that pull. Low. Magnetic. A touch of dark warmth, and a whole lot of white musk. Tactile, cozy, lived-in, quietly hot. It’s a contradiction in a bottle: clean enough to pass for purity. Dirty enough to ruin it. And that’s why you’ll keep reaching for it. Longevity's insane. I showered, slept, sinned, repented. It was still there. Three days and counting, which is both impressive and slightly concerning. 💀 Be forewarned: It’s oily. A perfect base for layering, a nightmare for fabrics. Better right after a shower, on bare skin, and watch it sink in. And yeah, the whole “your skin but better” cult has been milked dry, but this is one of the few that actually delivers. If you’ve worn I Don’t Know What by D.S. & Durga, imagine that but more subdued, more personal, even more of a slow burn. A scent for people who prefer seduction over shouting. For the quiet, vaguely dangerous. For those who let them close enough to think they’re safe. Then you prove them wrong.

I picked up a travel size of this because I've just been so intrigued by musky skin scents lately. The first hour I thought, oh no, I'm the people who can't smell it. I didn't really "get it". A little later I was starting to get a sort of metallic scent, similar to what I smell sometimes in "cheaper" perfume oils... But now, about 2ish hours later, it has bloomed on me and I'm smelling what I think I'm supposed to be smelling. That metallic thing is gone, and I'm getting a very low-key dried cotton, soft and subtle non-descript scent. In the absolute best way possible. Someone a few reviews down said it smells like a hotel hallway and I agree. Indeed a high end hotel where they shampoo or steam the carpets lol ....hmm yes, hot steam on clean carpets perhaps. I don't think I've ever smelled anything quite like it. I've worn JHAG Not a Perfume, which is nice, but that one has a slight salty quality to it and it's much stronger. I also enjoy BBW If You Musk, and while they're in the same vein of scents, If You Musk smells "wetter" (?). I'm definitely intrigued and I'll see how I feel after getting through the travel size.
