Whiskey Tobacco

Tbh I am quite surprised at the number of negative reviews for this one...I own a few Demeter scents, most of which become disappointing in a few minutes after spraying them – however, this is a definite exception. On me it stays on longer than most Demeter scents (though longevity still obvioudly not great), and I find it to be a very nice balance of sweetness, booziness and smokiness. Sure, it doesn't smell exquisitely expensive, but it is nonetheless wholesome and enjoyable, and the lack of a proper three-tier composition means there's no musk or ambroxan or anything similarly heavy in the base to make the scent overly cloying. The main whiskey note is quite bright and juicy, and, unlike with so many Demeters, it doesn't turn into generic Play-Doh after a few minutes.

I layer this with Demeter Sawdust when I miss my dad. Brings me back to childhood.

For the first sniff, it smells like the name, nothing else. Tobacco (more an ashtray of a cigar, not the tobacco), and some kind of cheap booze, quite a good scent: its like sitting in a pub 15 years ago, when you could smoke inside too! The longetivity is not a discussion point here, there is no endurance. I bought it for layering: the 2 lucky fragrances were the Versace Dreamer and Mercedes Benz Man Intense. And guess what: this fragrance totally destroys both! I can smell a bit longer the Whiskey Tobacco, but nothing else! Maybe the WT should be first, and the others as second. Its more for experimenting, if you feel like it, its a cheap option.

This is my first encounter with this house but I've obviously known about them. At first spray I get the whiskey right off the bat. Strong cheap kind of whisky the kind that does the job getting you well drunk not so smooth but does the trick after about 15-20min I get a sweet hint of tobacco and I do see the cola smell when these two meet. It's sweet And boozy what's not to like?!

Love this, the combination of sweet tobacco and cheap alcohol works great for me. As for compliments, it's pretty much 50/50. Some say it's good, others say it smells like a dessert. If you want to smell like you just chained a pack of cigs and drank an entire bottle of Jack Daniel's, I'd recommend this. However, the longevity isn't great.

The opening is quite realistic. After some time all I get is bubblegum.. moderate performance, good.

I sense cherry bubblegum a lot. Actual whiskey and tobacco wane off after an hour or so.

When you spray it on, it literally smells like someone spit their cheap whiskey on you. YUCK! It's quite sweet, overbearing and also amusing --- you knew it was going to happen. Within a couple minutes of the initial yuck-spray, it starts to mellow out and the tobacco notes start to come forward. They seem muddled in that cheap whiskey and can't quite make their way to your nose like they should. Still, it's amusing and you almost seemingly feel sticky like you actually had whiskey spit on you. All the negative yuckiness aside, it's a fun scent and I'm glad I tried it. Perhaps it can be used to layer with other scents? ... or to give a drunken costume full effect? =) fragrance has many uses. 6/10 for me, I look forward to trying other Demeter Library selections.

Ugh. They sent this to me by mistake. It smells like a carpeted bar at 3am when the lights go on.

The name Whiskey Tobacco sounds like it would be a great scent for the man who loves good whiskey and a fine cigar. I'm not familiar with Demeter's line of fragrances, but the name piqued my interest, so I purchased it from an online fragrance shop as a gift for a friend recently. I wanted to know just how whiskey and tobacco would be interpreted as a fragrance and sampled it on my wrist (sampling before gifting not a good thing to do but , in this case, I'm glad that I did.) and I was totally disappointed and underwhelmed. To my nose, all that I got was A-1 Steak Sauce. Horrible. I don't know anyone who would want to smell like a steakhouse condiment, but a T-bone. Peee-yuuu!!! I will be returning this one.

Initial review. This smells like a club I used to go to that was famous in the area for the smell. Stale, cheap booze soaked into the carpet and B.O. In the drydown I get some sort of a sweet bubblegum scent too. Weird. Havn't yet decided if it's going to be a scrubber or something that I weirdly hate to love.

I like this one and am happy to add it to my Demeter Scent Library (c) . Nice dirty liquor smell. Kinda like their Black Russian. Women will hate this one. Dry down has a hint of sweet to it. Longevity is weak but I love Dememter even with all their flaws!

I just bought one of the tiny dabbers to try, and I am so glad that I did. Literally 5 minutes after putting this on I couldn’t smell anything. Super bummed, I had such high hopes.

This is very sweet from the Whiskey notes, so much so I almost find it too cloying. I bought it for my husband, who likes it, but the sweetness could easily work on both genders.

Fantastic scent, exactly what it says on the tin plus accents of cacao and vanilla. It reminds me of a spicy jack Daniels...performance is average but it's cheap so no worries

To me it's sweet tobacco marinated in a little cheap whiskey - combined, I think it gives a cola vibe. A sweeter version of Demeter's Humidor.

This sounds like it would smell like a drunk at a honky tonk. That's kind of icky.

a week after studying hard I spritz this on and enjoy me a Jack and coke.
