Black

I bought Denim Original a couple of months ago, and was absolutely shocked at how masculine it was, how rich it was and how well it performed. Therefore, i naturally decided i had to try the other Denim fragrances. Denim Black and Denim Musk were in stock, and i ordered them Denim Black is a lot softer than the original. It is also a bit less brazenly masculine. This perfume is a bit sweeter, and more floral/rosey. Geranium with a smidge of rose. Sandalwood and amber is also pretty prominent, while the oakmoss, patchouli and labdanum makes for a solid and manly backdrop. I like to wear the Denim Original to work and settings where there is a lot of open space. Because it is so potent. The Denim Black i would be more comfortable wearing for a date or a one night stand or something. An occasion where i know someone is going to get close to me and smell me, love what they smell, without it being too loud. Smell: 10/10 Longevity: 8-9/10 Sillage: 6/10, its a scent for you, and the people standing next to you. Not someone 10 feet away. And that is perfect in some situations.

Denim's take on the famous Drakkar Noir scent profile ? Not much originality to be expected here and if you're familiar with the og Denim, this one is not as potent, less animalic and also a tad sweeter. But Black smells great nonetheless, and its more versatile side could make for an all year round dumb reach that could work in virtually any occasions. Also since it is dirt cheap, Denim Black seems like an obvious no brainer if you're into classic and unapologetically masculine fragrances.

Denim black is Drakar Noir in a different way. They are great.

Super "TOXIC" masculine, old school, shower gel type of fragrance. Directly from your skin it smells like burning rubber or wood. Total MACHO men fragrance. This is a kind of nostalgic gentlemen fragrance. Something like cowboy perfume maybe...? Totally out of modern fragrance, but its good. Try it! Price is ridiculous.

A fresh, clean-shaven and green smell. The begining is a little too synthetic for me, but in the dry down it's quite good. Really enjoy the bitterness and old school vibe. The wood here isn't natural, like a forest, but rather like freshly cut planks for construction.

Similar to Drakkar Noir but a little bit sweeter. A little bit dirty. Maybe patchouli? Labdanum? Oak? Who knows. But also clean and after shavish. Super longevity and average sillage. All season. Price? 10 euros in my country (Greece) Well done Denim. 8/10

This has since been reformulated and has brand new top notes meanwhile they moved the original notes down and I think it's better now.

To me it smells like deodorant. Masculine deodorant. Not bad, not exceptional, serviceable for any climate or time of day.

Very much a light 'Drakkar Noir'.

I dont know how to feel about this one yet... i kinda like it i believe...will see how it grows on me, i love the original, this one is different, its a white fragrance to me honestly, and brown, it feels very manly in a bitter way, i dont see the sweet connection people below made, its dry and bitter, not thats bad really. Thankfully its not powdery, i hate that, i dont think girls will enjoy smelling this at all. Its the kind of stuff you wear it because you like. Its kinda cool and everyone smelled this in their uncles in the 90 ́s. For 10$ no one is allowed to complain about anything here, its a specific type of smell, i dont think it will please everyone though. I dont have a problem with the linear smell of it. For 10$ try it out. Edit, one day later i dont like it at all , didnt grew on me.

Denim Black. My introduction to the Denim line. Got the EDT off Amazon for 21.99. Went to spray it, nothing came out!! Tried to prime it and got a little out. Off to the garage I went. Turns out it was a bad crimp and also no tube!! So I pried off the sprayer and now i have a splash bottle that gushes this stuff out when you pour it. Amazon kindly returned my money and I get to keep it. Good thing it does splash out a lot because I dont find it strong. I understand the Drakkar Noir references, but to me this is closer to Preffered Stock. Its a cruder, lighter Preferred Stock. Its decent. A little above average is my rating.

I smell the Drakkar Noir connection, but I also smell a bit of a Givenchy Xeryus (1986) clone. Denim Black lacks the potent spike lavender/rosemary punch and also the focused evergreen drydown of DN. Instead, it envelops me in a softer sage and Calone-infused amber structure. It's a bit lighter and has a touch of an aqueous note that runs through it to the drydown, but if you can't find a good version of vintage Xeryus (or the Parfums Mythiques version), this fragrance would be a suitable replacement, and its material quality is nearly on par.

This was my high school fragrance, which I had all but forgotten, until I was given it as a birthday gift recently. The scent itself is pleasantly masculine and the performance is also good. But it's a one-trick pony. Very linear and not much to discover. The musky-woody-flowery petroleum note just lingers and lingers and loses its freshness. Considering the price, however, it's surprisingly good. That goes just to show that you pay 500% more to get maybe 50% more quality... if you're lucky.

Denim Black is a potent fragrance.Intense Patchouli, Sandalwood and Cedar, while Amber, Labdanum & Oakmoss balances the whole thing. It has warm sensual tones and great staying power. It's dirt cheap and something to put on and toforget about, a very decent, pocket friendly, clean smelling product.

Compared to the original Denim (blue box), this is moving to another direction. Same male fragrance genre, sweeter and easier to accept. The original Denim is still the best for 40 y.o. males, a more mature selection in my opinion.

Rose Patchouli Sandalwood Amber Lavender Reminds me of Antaeus by Chanel minus the note of Castoreum, dry down smells almost the same.
