Mykonos Sunset

This is very much in the space of Rifaaqat Paris Corner, or Babycat, but the oils aren't nearly as good as the YSL's version. This is very nice, and is a fall/winter frag, and more suited towards evening. I love the leather note in here, it comes off animalistic, but in a good way. It's a very raw leather note to me, and its beautiful. I would say this is a much more complex Fragrance than those that I mentioned though. I find HooperG's review to be inaccurate, but this Fragrance thing is so subjective. I can see where he's coming from with the lipstick comparison, but it's so much more than that. I respect his review, as this frag is not for everyone. I tend to think it's very nice, but not signature worthy, but I have 250 different things to choose from. This is where I would differ from Just the Facts Man, I would not make this my scent. I would put it up there in frags that I really like, and would reach for in the evening, as I find it very comforting. Anyway, this had very good performance, and decent projection, and lasts a good amount of time. If you're a fan of Babycat type scents, you'll love this one. Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (9/10) Beautiful. Only loses a point because it's not an all season frag... I love this stuff. This is worth much more that they are asking for this.

#833 in my "Tour de Fragrance" This may be my new "signature scent." When I smelled a decant of Thameen's "Nassak" I thought, "If not for all the rose I'd definitely wear this." Well here it is. This is the first to arrive of the five Destino scents I have ordered. A blind buy of a fragrance that is all but unknown entails some risk, but I am so glad I did. What an absolute find! This scent is fabulous. Lotsa leather, tonka and ambergris. Slightly sweetened by the toffee. Slightly floral from the saffron. Slightly musky. Woody, balsamic quality. Leather and saffron are predominant in the dry down. Slightly more male than unisex to me because there is a hint of barbershop going here that moves this toward the masculine side. All day longevity (eight hours and no sign of fading), very strong sillage. And this stuff is an absolute steal! Got it from Jomashop for $33! Kind of a sweeter, muskier Lattafa "Qa-ed Al Shabab". Car pool, elevator, small office safe. Nice date wear. Can't imagine it will stay this affordable if word gets out. Absolutely a safe blind buy! Can't wait for the rest of the line to arrive!

I picked this up on Joma Shop for $33, (when normally it's $130) based upon JusttheFactsMan's review. The notes look like something that would be in my wheelhouse, and I'm starting to wonder if this is going to be discontinued, judging by only one retailer is selling it, and it's $100 off retail. I'd say it's a good blind buy if the notes are what I like, and judging by the guy under me with 833 fragrance reviews, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt on this one. I'll be reporting back after I get this.

Love this DNA. So warm and cozy, seductive. It does remind me of Ameer Lattafa. Smoother, not as screechy as they are. I have decants of YSL Babycat and I can see how people call them similar. I've never gotten my nose on Rosendo No 5, but now I want to more than ever. I just don't believe in rewarding companies like YSL when they jack up the prices and create artificial scarcity.

I don't understand the negative reviews. I get it, we all have different tastes and are certainly wired differently. But, this is a good fragrance. I went off the recommendation from @justthefactsman. I have noticed that I have similar likes and dislikes. Although, the amount of experience I have, pales in comparison to him. I wouldn't rate this up with some of the best I have tried. It is certainly one of the better values. Mykonos Sunset is a sweet powdery fragrance. I normally do not stick with sweet. I don't mind them but prefer not to be sweet smelling all day long. There are a few exceptions. This is one of them. Comforting, long lasting, and a steal at around $30. The only downside is that my wife finds it too powdery as some others here have mentioned. Well, we don't always agree. The bottle is heavy with a magnetic cap. Neat looking with the purplish hue. Again, for the price, it is a great deal. Lasts all day with a burst in the beginning. Edit 4/15/2025: After a few more wears, it is starting to get addictive. Lasted nearly 12 hours today and was so enjoyable. What I said above about being a deal...nope, it's a steal. I recently picked up London Twilight. I hope it develops in a similar fashion.

I tried, but I just can't get into this fragrance. It's very artificial leather, plastic and vanilla smelling -- It 100% smells like the inside of a shoebox when you first buy a pair of sneakers. I don't know what the point is in this scent. My mind keeps telling me it's trying hard to be PdM Layton, but it just isn't. I'm keeping the bottle (anyone up for a trade?) since it doesn't make any sense to return it, with Jomashop requiring me to pay the return shipping.

Bought it because of thefactsman and was disappointed, i hated the smell and apparently this one smells like Babycat and N5 i guess vanilla leather perfumes aren't my thing. If i had to explain the smell to someone it would be like this, imagine a candy gone bad that's how it smells

Sweet cherry leather with tofee and tonka nuances. I wanted to like this, but it's just not my thing unfortunately. It's pleasant, but smells like an old woman's scent. Very loud and long lasting with a cool bottle and magnetic cap. There's quality here, just not for me.

This one makes me feel sick. My wife complained of me smelling like Mr Sheen the furniture spray! After a few hours, I sat in the car, and the leather vanilla mix gave me a pounding headache and I suddenly felt nauseous.

I don't get what the reviews in the bottom are hyping it all about. Wording it all artistically like you don't need to write all of that to tell people a perfume is either good or bad. Anyways this smells like a sweet lipstick. Literally just that smell of lipstick, rubber or even playdoh like with some added sweetness and you have Mykonos sunset. Longevity isn't anything that blows you out the park and it isn't anything amazing. Just a sweet smelling playdoh. I find it crazy that the first commenter "JusttheFactsMan" found this to be the best one out of all the perfumes he's tried. I know you have tried a lot of perfumes but ain't no way you consider this on top of grand soir and the other 4 you have in your top 5 in your collection. It's literally a fragrance that's the definition of MID. Nothing wow for insane smelling. Projection isn't even loud.
