Lychee Sheep’s Shadow

This is a real interesting one. There's a couple different things going on but nothing hogs the spotlight - it's equal parts fruity, earthy, dare I say animalic and metallic even? There's no one fruit I can pick out - it reminds me of Vimto a little bit, and the earthy and metallic aspects in combination remind me of Lush's Tank Battle, but this is A LOT more wearable. To focus on the earthiness specifically is quite wet earth-like, and the fact I like this so much I'm going to just assume there's oakmoss in here. The animalic aspect isn't the scary kind i.e. civet or castoreum (aka... stinky), it actually really does smell like wool to me! It's a similar comforting feeling to walking into a leather shop or when I sniff my dog's head. Idk. Kinda fuzzy, warm, musky? I don't know if I'll buy a bottle yet; as much as I enjoy this I already own so much and I don't know how often I'd wear this... seriously it's a 10/10, if I owned less I'd have bought it without hesitation!

The reishi mushroom gives it a very fresh, vegetal opening. The dry down is lychee and oakmoss forward, but the lychee has a slight spiciness to it as opposed to a sweet, juicy lychee. Really unique profile and my favorite from the brand so far.

Definitely a mood. I had to order a sample of this because reading the note list was so weird. The smell is likewise: what on earth did I just smell? I think I can detect all the notes, especially litchi, rose, bergamot and mushrooms. I wish the wool was more prominent altough I don't know if it would match the other notes. It's so unique, it's like an universe of its own. Not wearable for me though. But I think I could indeed write a fairytale about it.

Despite thinking based on notes this would be right up my alley, to me this is very fruity, with a funky animalic backing. Unfortunately reminiscent of a locker room with mixed body sprays, and body odor.

Lychee is there at the front, but quickly becomes grassy and musty. Quite punchy.
