Sola

Let’s talk about Sola, the sky. My initial impressions are as follows: First things first, this perfume is absolutely beautiful. Sola opens up with lifting yuzu and lemongrass, and morphs into wofts of creamy purple florals. The lavender shines through clearly in the heart, and so does the magnolia. I grew up with lavender patches in the backyard, as well as a magnolia tree, so this scent is bottled up nostalgia for me. As Sola dries down, I’m greeted with a spicy concoction of frankincense and myrr, which combine with the lavender to completely melt my troubles away. I’ll leave you with a quote, from Haruki Murakami’s novel A Windup Bird Chronicle. I think it sums up wearing Sola quite well. “Memories and thoughts age, just as people do. But certain thoughts can never age, and certain memories can never fade”.

Incredibly beautiful and austere Oriental fougere showcasing a luscious natural lavender local to Northern Japan. The perfume opens with fresh aromatic bursts of lavender, yuzu and lemongrass. It transitions slowly into a floral heart of geranium, jasmine and magnolia. The perfume finally settles on a subtle bed of slight frankincense and myrrh. The meditative and spiritually radiant scent exudes a gentle masculine glow and has moderate projection and sillage and very good longevity. This is natural perfumery of the highest order without any parallels in the world. Enjoy!
