Only The Brave Eau de Parfum

It’s a synthetic fragrance, but I like the scent. The cirtus+lavender smells good and is definitely nice to have in the collection.

I bought a Guerlain sample and this was thrown in as a 2ml. I didn't realize it was a recent release so I feel obligated to share my first impressions of it for you all. DISCLAIMER: I am not familiar with Diesel fragrances, this will be my first one I've ever smelled From first spray it smells like every other cheap designer fragrance. It's that sweet, synthetic thing that happens with those you find on the shelves in the mall. Mind you, I am a total niche head and am not usually into designer fragrances so my opinion could be totally different than somebody elses. As someone who has been in the fragrance game a while, this definitely is a synthetic mess in the opening to my nose. That being said, it dries down quite nicely! It's got a nice sweet note that is somewhat warm. I'd say it is very comparable to fragrances made by Paco Rabanne, Burberry, Spicebomb, Coach, Jean Paul Gaultier, etc. It's not going to be mind-bendingly amazing, but it does the job. I think someone who isn't familiar with fragrances is going to love this and buy it right off the shelf. In the air this fragrance actually smells quite good. I'm somewhat impressed. Smelling it up close on the skin you do get that synthetic sweetness, but the scent trail is where this one shines as the leather comes out in the sillage. Be warned, this IS a sweet fragrance no doubt about it. I'm 33 years old and don't know if I could rock this if I'm to be completely honest. 6/10 It's not bad. . .There is a subtle something in there that is addicting (maybe it is that leather poking through a bit?) but would I buy it? No, not really. To me it just smells like another cheap designer from Dillards but with a tinge of something special in there. I think this will be absolutely FANTASTIC for the right person though. It does not smell like Tom Ford's Ombre Leather so don't let that be a factor that sways you into buying this one. You'll be disappointed if you buy this hoping it will be as good as Ombre Leather. Also, there are no animalics in this so don't worry about that at all. I think I totally would have bought this if it wasn't for that sweet synthetic note. If they could have just used a more expensive ingredient for that and upped the price then this would be a really great fragrance. If you are in high school or Jr. High then this will be a stellar pick. I can see this one being very popular amongst the younger crowd.

I was expecting a somewhat blue scent based on the bottle, mostly pick up sweetnes from the Mandarin, Suede with some Sage in the background. Would be better without the same sweet element all Diesel fragrances share. Decent longevity and sillage.

It starts with an light, airy and fresher Ombré Leather type of leather note. It settles down to a fresh, darker and more mature version of the original.

Decent cologne for younger guys. Not very long lasting on my skin, but still a good casual fragrance.
