Be Brave... Be You... If it makes you Happy - don a Tattoo... Diesel, Only the Brave Tattoo is highly underrated..!! While the initial blast of spice notes may be overwhelming, the dry down and thereafter is seductively attractive. The initial notes are a mix of apple, benzoin, pepper, and tobacco. Tattoo then settles into a blend of patchouli, tobacco, and woodsy notes. Do yourself a favor - wait for the dry down..!! I am a huge fan of the (original) "big brother" to Tattoo, Only the Brave. The original OTB is my #1 fragrance in a collection that is increasing toward 500 bottles (wouldn't be so bad but I struggle on which one to wear and dusting the 'dog gone' bottles is a pain in the ___ ..!!) Tattoo may have similar notes as the original, but the fragrance is different. Very different - and being different is OK..!! It is a "dark different" that is spicy - it adds to the mystique of Tattoo.. It is what it is - a great fragrance... Longevity and Projection/Sillage are above average, lasting more than 6 hours and even longer on clothing. Tattoo has plenty of "Wow Factor" (compliments from the opposite sex) potential. While no compliments wearing today, this fragrance has a certain "dark confidence" that will gain attention. The versatility of this fragrance is a topic of debate. Personally, given the "spicy" undertone, I would suggest Fall and Winter as ideal - but the fragrance is so unique, I could argue that Tattoo could be worn during any season, but preferably at night. The bottle is a piece of art, classically designed to mirror that of the "big brother" with the addition of a "dark" finish that compliments the fragrance. Very well done. The packaging is sufficient, but I will add that I do keep the boxes (that added security while traveling) and this box came "un-glued", literally, the first day I wore it. It will be our secret that - "duck tape" fixed it up. A check of online pricing shows that Tattoo is moderately (or average) priced. Tattoo's final tally is 4.5 stars out of a possible 5 stars. I have enjoyed the Only the Brave fragrances, and Tattoo offers a uniqueness that the original does not have. It is this "dark side" that has a seductively attractiveness about it that warrants adding to your collection. I highly recommend. Sweet tabaco bomb. This frag is powerful, made to do compétition with one million and these kind of fragrance. Perfect for clubbing or going to downtown, something u put when u want to be notice and attract attention. I think they aim a young crowd with it, like the other only the brave (mayble the beginning of the 20). I got a sweet cherry (red apple?) tobacco mix with it that last for a really long time and that project like a loud speaker you see in the club! To be avoid in hot time, will stay on your skin even after a shower and it will be cloying for sure! U might even arm someone if u are not careful with the trigger, they should have done a gun shapped bottle instead of a fist :p If u are looking for a super strong beast for clubbing and u don t like one million, give it a try, that could be what u are looking for. All right, let see what we get here: Scent: 7,5/10, sweet, sweet, sweet cherry tobaco bomb. U need to love sweet scent. Longevity: 4,5/5, i got around 10 hours with it, more on clothes. Projection: 4,5/5, project like a 125 dB loud speaker Versatility: 2,5/5, for clubbing and cold time only. Can easily be cloying. Beware, by wearing this at work u might make ennemy. Overall: 19/25, something to try if u want a club scent. More suitable for a young crowd IMO.

I literally have no idea why the performance on this is in question. I bought a new bottle this week and its a stellar performer. I wear a polo shirt for work and 5/6 sprays down the front of me when I’m wearing it lasts and wafts around all morning, all afternoon, all evening and because its attached to my clothes the whole of the next day! Yesterday I didn’t need to re-apply because my top still had the fragrance on it and still drew a couple of compliments. Basically don’t worry about it being weak. If you only spray your fragrance in your skin then what do you expect? Some work, some don’t. Flavour wise it’s awesome stewed apple and powdery warm musk but not gourmand imo. Its sweet but balanced..not overly sweet like so many these days. Very unique, definitely smells like nothing else. It’s not much different at all from the original release, I had a small one years ago and its essentially the same. I’m 40 and certainly don’t feel like it’s a juvenile type of scent so don’t be afraid if you’re of a certain vintage!

I got my first compliment from this fragrance today. I have had this bottle for a few years now. And I do like it. I wish the longevity was a lot stronger on it. The tobacco note is very nice. I am starting to get a real hook on tobacco notes in frags and I like the very rugged and extremely masculine. And can we please talk about the bottle! One of my favorite bottles actually. I love the script on the hand and just overall adds to the look and feel of the scent. This is the only diesel frag that I own. Tbh, it has a very young vibe to it. Younger people can wear this very well, and I think it is more suited towards them (I am only 25 BUT I am also referring to people my age and downwards). Would I buy again? Probably not. This to me is like a stepping stone fragrance. You smell this, all the notes in it, and you build your pallet and move to more complex scents. Still overall, a great fragrance.

The pepper is light and helps add a little complexity. After half an hour or so I begin to get a very nice tobacco note (dry, "leafy"), but not much patchouli. It began with fruitiness of a not entirely "natural" quality but then over time it was milder and I could detect some "fresh" aroma chemicals. It's not too sweet, nor syrupy, nor powdery; overall, it's definitely pleasant, if not complex. I don't think one can expect a stronger tobacco note in a scent of this type, so that was a nice surprise. This is one I'll have to wear a few times before I decide how much enjoyment I'll derive from it if I wear it once a month or thereabouts. Note that I disagree with those who compare this to Pure Havane, Bogart Pour Homme, and "cherry pipe tobacco" notions, as after about half an hour it goes in a different tobacco direction, IMO. Note that my bottle's batch code dates it so September, 2013.

I am incredibly surprised by this one. Top to bottom, this smells so damn good. With all the heavy notes this has, it is surprising vibrant and balanced. Even over-spraying, this scent is not offensive at all. I wasn’t expecting much aside from a cool, tho a little tacky, bottle. Im really blown away, this would down right be my go to motorcycle riding frag, but the wind would blow the scent away. What I mean is, the performance is seriously lacking. After a few sprays, I still only get a good hour, maybe 2, of sillage. Then it stays close to the skin for the duration which is a bit long, but still weak. I really wish it had more life, or else it would absolutely be my signature fragrance. Definitely worth a buy from a discounter just for the experience. Ok, I kind of nailed it, this is a more sweeter, less spicy, coach platinum. Better fragrance, far far worse performance.

I found this fragrance thanks to my gym trainer, who is over 70 years old and wears it every day. I decided to buy it myself, bought 200ml for 70 euro. While it may not be as unique as Givenchy Gentlemen Reserve Privee, it is still an exceptionally nice fragrance. (I have no idea or at least dont remember how sage smells so I am not adding it) Here's how the scent evolves: Fresh and sweet, with a blend of apple and orange. After about 3-5 minutes: The sweetness fades slightly, but the freshness remains. The scent becomes more peppery and woody, with a hint of benzoin. I don't smell patchouli; I think that scent is the sweet tobacco. The drydown is also pleasant: The sweetness diminishes further but stays noticeable. The fragrance maintains its peppery and woody characteristics, with sweet tobacco and a hint of benzoin.

I think this is a really great fragrance. Fresh-fruity opening but not sickly sweet. A touch of pepper and sage in the mid for some spicy herby freshness, benzoin is mild but gives a hint of vanilla. Patchouli gives some rich earthiness in the dry down with the woods, and the subtle tobacco is there right through but comes out alone after ~5hours once all the other notes have passed. The tobacco also adds a maturity to the overall experience. I’m in my early 50’s, and my similarly aged brother-in-law loves this one too. Sillage is moderate, and longevity moderate-strong. Overall fruity, smoky and woody - really pleasant imo and great for cooler weather. Just don’t pay Turkish airport “duty free” prices for it. Suggested deodorant match : Lynx Cherry Spritz.

I wear this year round, at work, on dates, everything. It smells amazing, and to me, might be my favorite of the Diesel line though I have a couple EDP's of theirs on the way I want to try out. I've kept a bottle of this in my collection since 2018 or so now. And have bought a bottle before the last has run out every time. Now that I'm almost 30, I'd say I may be on my last bottle of this, as I've been branching into stuff that seems a little more well put together according to most youtube/fragrantica folks atleast. I'm sure I'll end up with another bottle down the line, because its truly great. Best way to me to describe the scent is quite simple. My friend simply reviewed it as: "A fresh pair of blue jeans". Lol.

well I m just finished my 1st bottle my review is At the first time I smell this in Changi Airport, Singapore it was pleasant, I adore this fragrances! I'm very want this perfume so bad. But after I had this... I don't recommend you guys to buy this. Beside it's expensive 45 $ or 475k Rupiah that's not worthed bro, mahal! Longevity : 4 hours Sillage : good at 30 minutes projection : Moderate 1-2 feet This is the optional, and has alot better ingredients with the same prices bisa Kali just buy like... Rihanna Rogue Man or Paco Rabbane Black XS alot better than this, trust me! Rating saya bisa kasih dikit lah 4/10 even this fragrances has good Grape Smell!

Excellent fruity freshie with a hint of spicyness. A little sweet, but not cloying. This is a very overlooked fragrance in my opinion. Not sure why no one is hyping this one, it's quite the sexy fragrance, excellent for clubbing, a night out, even date night. However, it may not be suitable for the office as it is a bit too attention grabbing (not too loud by any means). The smell is very close to YSL Y Le Parfum for a fraction of the price, I would say ~90%. Not as high quality as YSL Y, but incredible quality for the price nonetheless. At the time of writing, you can find this one at discounters for $40-$50 for a 2.5oz (74ml)

A sweet & tart apple smell, with a decent yet mellow tobacco note. Sweet, fruity, very mildly sour (in a good way). The tobacco here isn't very woody nor dry but rather soft & warm. It smells a bit like a flavored tobacco product with more "flavor" than tobacco smell. A female could wear this & pull it off. With the name & the bottle design, I thought it would be a deep, mysterious woody smell. Was disappointed. It also smells like a woodier, fruitier Versace Dylan Blue. It grew on me a lot the more I smelled it. Just like Dylan Blue did. I feel like I'm falling in "Love" with it & it's worth the rating bump.

I wear this fragrance everywhere, it's very versatile. The opening is a blast of red apple with a small spicy undertone, and after 30 mins to an hour, the sweetness fades into a masculine peppery scent with a hint of tobacco. A beastly winter fragrance, great for all scenarios, but I would mostly recommend this to be used in the afternoon / night in cold weather as it is quite a smoky / tobacco centred fragrance as it dries down. Definitely my favourite day-to-day wearer at the moment though, and can be used pretty much anywhere without seeming out of place. 10/10 from me :)

Apple, Tobacco and Benzoin it's a great combo on a fragrance, I must admit. It's pleasant and homey and easy to wear for any kind of age. I like it's sweetness, not to cloying and not too weak either. Is it bubblegummy? well kind of, but not that bubblegummy like Paco Rabanne kind, but I surely dig!. The spicy notes aren't properly strong enough to pierce the scent of the fragrance through winter seansons, but I'm sure during warm weather it projects reasonably well. The longevity is also pretty darn good 8+ hours on my skin and on my clothes another ++

First impression ---is very good in my opinion also similar with black xs one of my favorite . Who is looking for a sillage monster must try this one. l was looking for a gift a strong one with heavy-enormous sillage in a pleasant way and l was wearing(trying) in my arms more than 6 in that moment and this was the most dominant in my skin. ( the other perfumes l was trying was spicebomb,Ralph black,Opium,LaNuit,Fahrenheit,Legend mont blanc, armanicode and Armani Diamonds Black) . After taking a bath and trying to crub it ...it was still there.

this frag is a monster yes it has a hefty price tag but if your looking for a dark frag that hast the same stopping power pr 1million had then this frag is worth every penny otb opens up almost identicle to black xs bus where xs mellows this is the total oppisite its loud in your face and powerful fresh dark and apple/citrus and tobacco notes dominate 2 sprays will give you six foot projection and 10hrs plus and more compliments than is appreciated otb tattoo is a club frag so save for nights out and is supirior to the original overall 10/10

Sweet apple forward fragrance that masquerades as strawberry. Lasts about 6 hours and has that signature Diesel creamy sweetness. This is young and playful and about as sweet as I can go at my age. The tobacco and patchouli keep it grounded. It smells like a bit like polo red intense and a bit like Black XS. I think if you took dunhill custom and mixed it with polo red intense, you'd get something like this. Picked up a small bottle and I like it! 2 years later... loving it! Wearing this a lot more and it's awesome for sunny fall days.

After wearing Tattoo as a party fragrance in the early 10's, I bought myself another bottle of this for fun. The scent brings back a lot of good memories, and hopefully, will help me create some new. Someone described this as having a sour cherry scent, and I think that's apt. Still love the opening notes, and that it dries down into a creamy leather that last forever (for a edt). Will definitely be my new favorite as I relive my 20's with it! Yay for re-appreciating older scents!

Lol that thing stick so much to the skin that even after taking a shower, use a lot of soap and putting another fragrance on my skin (la nuit ysl) it is still there i can smell it almost more than la nuit! Unbeliveable! I think it is overpowering for hot summer night...and definitely to much for any day uses...i finaly find the super powerfull fragrance i was looking for! By far the most powerfull perfume i never use! Mayble you can put it only a few time a week and your good? :p

A beautifully blended fruity, caramel tobacco perfume. Very smooth with cedar. Longevity and silage are both pretty good. The dry down is a lovely tobacco and wood and this is the best part. There are several fruits and tobacco fragrances out there which are good quality. This is one of the best - this juice is very good. Update......This really is lovely, a grower, and they're the best kind. Can't stop sniffing my arm.

Like it very much! Smell like tobacco/ cherry combo to me...very different from the original, i think that only the brave should be use in the day and that one should be use for night, because it is very strong and could be to much for work and casual...i didnt try it on cold weather yet, but i think it should be better that in summer, because with only one spay it smell so fu** ing strong !

This one's a bit sweeter than the original OtB. It has a black xs vibe to it. I dunno why, but i find it like that. Anyways, it's a good cologne overall. I'm pretty sure ladies will love the smell of this one especially at night. Btw, bought my 75ml bottle of this for only $71 in Duty Free. Lol. Smell: 10/10 Longevity: 10/10 Sillage: 8/10 Overall: 9/10

What I think you'd want to know. Apart from the insane price on this guy of course. Now, if you like sweet scents, this one is definitely it. It's got a really fresh opening and then it settles down to this fruity monster that goes on and on and on and on. On my skin it very reminiscent of PR BlackXS Men. Sillage 7/10. Longevity 8/10.

DEF smell the apple off the top...I would put this as a Fall-Winter ( or cooler Spring) scent. I see the appeal. I have not smelled any other Diesels. I like it for an after shower ,cozy evening with a glass of your favorite adult bev on the rocks with your lady, holding her close...just sexy. I'll let ya'll know come NYE's lol.

I just bought this. Disclaimer, I love deep fruity woody scents, and this perfectly replicates that description. I am an alt type of guy and I feel like this scent suits me so well. Youthful but sexy, deep and mysterious, it’s just so nice. I would totally recommend this. I wouldn’t if you are a fresh clean type of guy.

I love this fragrance although the notes seem suited to cold weather I have worn it on a hot night in Spain and got told I smelled “really fresh” I have gone through a 200ml bottle a 50ml bottle I’m going to buy another 200ml because I just really enjoy it all year round and other people around me love it too.

Recently picked up a bottle of this and I'm impressed. Nice spicy apple and woody fragrance with plenty of citrus in the background. Overall performance is fine. 7/8 hours on skin. All day on clothing. Above average projection. This offers good value for money when purchased from online discounters.

If you're into sweet frags this one is definitely for you. The opening is the highlight of this frag but the dry down isn't too shabby either. So far it has garnered enough compliments to make it a must buy. Scent 9/10 sillage 9/10 longevity 8/10. PS best suited for night wear and colder days

What a delicious smell. This smells of expensive, I love it. It opens well with the fruity flavor of red apple being caressed with benzoin and tobacco, that sounds so good, fantastic combination. Very Good! I classify this: Smell: 9.5/10 Projection: 9/10 Longevity: 9/10

Diesel Only The Brave Tattoo: This is a great fruity, sugary, "gummy", sweet fragrance. It starts with notes of red apple (sweet and herbal) and in the drydown you can distinguish that chewing-gum note and maybe some tobacco.It is a sexy fragrance. 9/10

Never been a massive fan of Diesel fragrances but this one is fantastic. It doesn’t smell exactly like Coral Fantasy but does have some similarities and shares a similar space. I actually might prefer the dry down of this one though.

My boyfriend has this fragrance. It's a sexy fragrance and is very sweet, but not sickly sweet. The staying power is great, he'll put it on in the morning and it'll still be there and still be fairly prominent late in the evening.

I have the 2016 batch and this smells like pure apple and a hint of benzoin, no tobacco at all. Also it doesn't last as long on my skin, probably around 3 hours. Maybe it's just my skin chemistry or maybe it's reformulated

I’d go for this over UBIR Coral Fantasy any day. Absolutely obsessed with this cheap gem! So if you’re looking for a tobacco fragrance with juicy apple, here you go. It’s youthful but still super sexy!

Smells incredibly close to Valentino coral fantasy. Very edgy and dark but mass appealing due to the fruitiness from the apple. Great fall/winter fragrance.

This is a sexy, masculine Fragrance With a depth.

The Diesel brand, known worldwide for its jeans, produces fragrances since 1996 but came back with all power to the market when released Diesel Fuel for Life, in 2007. It was a huge success! From there, new versions (flankers) have emerged and new fragrances were inserted in the range of options that the brand offers for sale. It was the case of Only The Brave, released in 2009, which won this rebellious version, in 2012. In Only The Brave Tattoo, the man is tattooed, confident, and mysterious. The composition brings notes of Granny Smith Apple with a touch of Mandarin, just in the output. The heart is warmed by the Bourbon pepper and Sage, while the bottom of the fragrance has notes of benzoin absolute, tobacco, patchouli, and amber wood. The result is a sweetened fragrance, which touches the skin quite fruity and juicy. I'd even say that can be considered a semi-gourmand. Then, although possessing little evolution, shows slight woody nuances, but spicy. On my skin, the tobacco did not pronounce, but the benzoin, with its vanilla aspect, was pretty remarkable. For those who like references, this cologne has enough olfactory similarity to Black XS (2005), by Paco Rabanne. The biggest difference is the aroma of red fruits, very much alive in the latter, whereas, in the Diesel, it's possible to perceive (clearly) the presence of apple. Moreover, after rumors of reformulations, many consumers began to question the durability of Black XS, while Only The Brave Tattoo has better sillage and lasts beyond expectations. The bottle kept the same design from the previous version, which features a closed hand with a ring bearing the inscription Diesel (in the best "brass knuckles" style), now covered in tattoos. It’s a beautiful scent, ideal for colder days and, especially, for men who like to draw attention, without fear of showing what's hidden under their tattoos.

It mostly has a warm, spicy scent but a candy-sweet fruitiness that still plays a very active role in how this comes across. The tobacco, pepper, and wood give this masculinity, while the edible sweetness gives it versatility for a broader range of age groups. Sillage is excellent, in my opinion. However, I prefer it as a close-to-the-body type of scent. I would imagine that over-applying could become suffocating for most. This one may have flown under the radar, but it is an excellent option in the cool parts of the year. Tobacco in fragrances strikes me as a note more appropriate for the mature demographic. Notably, I sense that overly tobacco fragrances can seem a bit too intense for the younger demographic. So this is an especially great option for them because it will convey some maturity while still appealing to those in their early 20s and possibly younger. For a youthful, warm, and sweet alternative that does not incorporate tobacco, I recommend looking into Crown by English Laundry. It leans heavier into the candy sweetness while still being warm enough for the cold months. This is accomplished by eliminating the tobacco and maintaining a slight warmness with cloves and amber notes. OTB Tattoo deserves some love. 8/10

I don't know how to feel about OTBT, I do enjoy the scent but it's extremely similar to Bad Intense, which is odd as they have completely different notes. Makes me wonder if all Diesel fragrances just smell alike as most designer brands tend to use the same bases for everything. It's a nice semi sweet mildly warm scent, not quite gourmand but candyish enough to fall in that category. The performance leaves a lot to be desired though. My bottle is a 2020 batch but after about an hour it's completely gone. I already resprayed twice today with two sprays both times and while I can smell it if I press my shirt to my nose, it has no projection or anything and can't be detected from any distance. The atomizer on the bottle sprays superb though which is cool. I have Bad Intense which is a powerhouse off of one spray so I at least expected this to have some projection. But as I said I do like the scent and feel it'll be fine for times when you want a casual fragrance that doesn't announce your presence. So I'd say OTBT is a great choice for a more intimate occasion or daily wear.

Whoa! Very in your face, BIG synthetic sweet fruity/spicy blast on the initial spray! I get mostly apple, tobacco and a boatload of benzoin and not much else. It's a sharp and vibrant fragrance, with a slightly dark, heavy side as well. Really quite unique and nice once it mellows out. Very good projection and longevity. Doesn't seem to develop a whole lot....just smooth's out and settles nicely after the opening barrage.;) It's not quite a "love" for me, but definitely stronger than a "like". It's a scent that I enjoy wearing very much, but once I've worn it....I tend not to revisit it for awhile.(much like my other strong, fruity, synthetic scents like Eros, Black XS, Euphoria Intense, Red Intense and the like...a little goes a long way) And FWIW-this smells NOTHING like Black XS...the only thing these two scents share is that they are both fruity and synthetic. Completely different in smell, though I really enjoy both equally as much

Have also bought OTB but this arrived first. Interesting bottle, totally at odds with this very sweet fragrance. I'm surprised with the drydown because its leather and tobacco and i was expecting a lot of oomph. A bit like I thought if "Bad to the Bone" by George Thorogood was an aftershave, this would be it. But instead, it really reminds me of Dunhill and Black Soul Imperium, albeit less potent tobacco. Maybe its the apple and sage which gives this such a sweetness. The drydown for this is really good. Very versatile as a going out and a work scent. Lasts a while and has decent projection. I managed to get this from Superdrug at £25 and thought not bad. I'm a big fan of sweet scents like Joop so this one appeals to me. I wouldnt say I love it, but i definitely like it and would have this one as a reach for Spring

On my skin this is primarily a fruity and warm spicy fragrance. The Apple note lasts the longest for me. The woody and tobacco notes are there in the background. It lasts most of the day and is a good fragrance for cooler weather. It’s sweet, but not sickly sweet. I like it a lot. I do my best not to be ageist, but for me personally, I feel a bit too old (I’m mid-50s) for this. The bottle, the scent profile and the imagery around this fragrance is clearly directed at a younger customer (check the advert from Diesel on YouTube). I imagine it would be better on younger guys (30 and under) who actively enjoying clubbing and hanging with friends. This is a good quality fragrance and would make a terrific gift for Christmas or a birthday for a younger guy. Its a crowd pleasing fragrance that most people would enjoy.
