Zero Plus Masculine

This is one of those discontinued fragrances that can still be found in many places and cheaply (I paid the equivalent of $14 US for 2.5 Oz). When I first tried it my impression was that it smelled like a more sudued version of Lagerfeld Classic. Trying them in a side-by side test I can tell that the similarity is there, but not so much as I imagined. I think what I am detecting is the powderiness of both fragrances, plus the fact that they share musk, vanilla and amber in the base; and jasmine and rose in the middle notes. As both fragrances develop on the skin they become more alike. It is these floral notes with the basenotes that give both fragrances a more feminine, or perhaps unisex feel. It is a long-lasting fragrance that does not project too far from the body, but which is still detectable after 5 hours or so. The only negative I have is the bottle: what a waste of plastic! I would much rather have had a cap to put on the bottle than the large plastic dome, which if you discard leaves you with a bottle with no lid. It is surely an example of poorly functioning design.

Just got this one in, and I love warm spicy, cinnamon and anise-based frags. With that in mind, I was pretty certain I would love this one, and it didn't disappoint. However, as soon as I opened the crazy snowglobe-esque container and smelled the fragrance, I was immediately reminded of something. I started racking my brain, "where have I smelled this frag before?", and then it hit me. Old Spice. People may hate me for saying this, but this is 80% similar to Old Spice, with the warm, orange, spicy, floral, and slightly green fragrance profile. I love Old Spice cologne, so that revelation didn't cause a problem for me. If anything, I'd say this is a bit better than Old Spice, with stronger sillage and a bit more of a powdery, candied scent profile. Totally excellent, just like everything else I've had from Diesel.

I haven't smelled it in around 15 years. I received a new bottle today, having ordered it for £12.99 including delivery. I always remembered this as having an oriental feel with some sweetness and a sparkling kind of quality. Trying this again today I am impressed! The oriental feel is present with cinnamon being present along with other woody spices like cardamom. The citrus in this feature orange and bergamot. There is some vanilla in here too. It smells really good. Having owned so many more fragrances than when I last owned this, it does remind me of Spicebomb with orange. It's really nice smelling this again after so many years and in the middle of January, this is a good time to receive it.

This perfume was launched in 2000 (at least in Europe) for it was my signature scent throughout secondary school. By 2003 I had moved on to a new scent profile, discovering more feminine perfume. Funny to realise I was already wearing masculine scent profiles at that young age. It smelled so sweet, spicy and playful on my skin and the people in my class always joked that I smelled like fireballs (super spicy candies, that back in the day were ten minutes straight up spicy chilli burn, haha). I'm still into masculine and unisex fragrances and happy I discovered Qaa'ed by Lattafa - that one really brings back Zero Plus memories.

First of all, this is one of my all-time favorite fragrances that has been in constant rotation in my fragrance collection for the past 13 years (this fragrance was introduced in 2000, not 2003...I know because I bought a bottle when it was first introduced). I love it when it I first spray it on, and I love it after the dry-down. I don't really "get" the cinnamon note...interestingly enough, on my skin, it smells like vanilla and sandalwood. It doesn't last very long on my skin, but to me it's a very "cozy" fragrance that I wear for my own personal enjoyment. Not many guys wear it so I like it as an old, personal favorite.

I love it.Really Really fabulous fragrance.at last i succeded to find this gem after years in a shop full of discontinued and vintage perfumes.it start with cinnamon after short vanilla join the cinnamon then 10 min later a nice powdery accord appear and dominate the scent vanilla exist too and cinnamon weakly whisper.I didnt expect such abeautiful smell.it`s presentation is so cool its look like a syrup bottle.Diesel always pioneer of odd and extraordinary designs. NIIIIIce 9/10

For several years, I'd sniff my way through the entire women's section without finding anything liked, and then cross over to the men's section instead. Zero Plus Masculine was my signature scent for a long time - I've had more fun in this fragrance than I dare tell my mother about. It certainly has a lot of cinnamon, but also several different spices, my old friends heliotrope and violet, and is that a faint bubblegum scent I smell? Sparkly, sexy and luckily not too heavy.

Really inexpensive but doesn't smell like it. I am pleasantly surprised by this little gem. A soapy, musky, spicy and floral oriental which, I think, is quite unique! There isn't a lot of cinnamon that I can smell on me, but I can smell the rose and musk distinctly. Longevity is good and it has excellent sillage. A lovely inexpensive scent with a lot of character. Love it to bits - gonna get more!

I bought this for my first serious boyfriend when I was 16 or 17. I loved the smell of this. Back in the mid-2000s this was masculine, with the female scents of the time being very girly and floral. Today this is definitely unisex; how times and tastes have changed! I just managed to find a bottle of this for myself and it smells like a spiced delicious delirious dream.

One of, if not my very first scents. As another reviewer has reviewed below, this was considered hyper-masculine back in the day. A well blended cinnamon-nutmeg scent. The florals just cut down on the spiciness so it doesn't come off too harsh. This has been discontinued for well over a decade but you can still get it en masse, somehow.

Sadly discontinued but really available still from ebay (and others) at very reasonable prices. It's a cinnamon bomb that mellows down to a warm spicy vanilla with huge longevity, as a skin scent I can still catch it 15 hours after applying. Cheap as chips, yes, but I'll wear this as often and as happily as ANY of my other fragrances.

Today I give an apply of it and yes it is fantastic.warm dry spices like cinnamon, cardamom and flowery notes make it a nice fascinating scet.powdery accord of flower really play nice in coldness. It's well balanced and not harsh.cardamom cinnamon nutmeg iris vanilla are obviously glittering .

I’m going to really go against the grain here, but I love it. It was cheap as anything, sold in discount stores everywhere, incredibly common but It just hit the spot for me. I still have the remnants of a bottle upstairs and I sprayed it earlier, still liking it. Each to their own etc.

Very unisex, I went through a couple of bottles twenty years ago, but still remember this scent foundly. :) Not to everyone's taste for sure, but give it a go if you like loud, warm and spicy scents, and don't want to pay a lot. Definitely not a good blind buy though!

So, I open the container, didn't even spray the bottle yet, and now all i smell in my room is CINNAMON. I dont mind, I LOVE the smell. Very strong, projection is very good as well. If you do not like strong cologne's, this is not for you. very WARM smell. |4.5/5

It's cheap, lasts a long time, great silage, unique and smells great. On me, I can smell: white musk, spices, rose and it's very well blended too! Simply one of the best inexpensive scents on the market. This smells expensive and I love it!

I kinda enjoyed this cinnamon spice bomb. It's loud right from the start, but just has a pleasant overall scent to it. Considered a cheapie nowadays, but I just purchased two bottles off fragrancex for $21 and free ship, (March 2017)

Zero Plus Masculine by Diesel: A Nostalgic Christmas Gift That Holds Up Surprisingly Well Like many others, I received this juice for Christmas the year it came out in 2003. There must've been some sort of massive marketing campaign at the time, because it seemed like everyone I knew had a bottle. I still remember thinking it smelled quite feminine when I first tried it—or maybe I was confusing it with the feminine version my sister had, as I was only 11 years old at the time. Either way, I do recall enjoying the cinnamon notes a lot back then, and I think it left a lasting impression. Recently, I got hit with a wave of nostalgia and decided to see if this fragrance was still around.Not to my surprise, it had been discontinued for years, but I found out that you can still buy it online. The first thing that hit me when I received my bottle was the odd plastic pod-like case it came in. It's funny how certain details, like the packaging, can take you right back in time. And of course, the fragrance itself immediately transported me back 22 years. Now, as for the fragrance itself—it’s surprisingly nice for what it is: a budget-friendly department store scent. The notes are interesting in a good way, and it’s unapologetically what it is. Diesel didn’t try to make this anything more than a fun, youthful scent, and I think it does its job well. With top notes of nutmeg, cardamom, and orange, there’s a distinct warmth to it, balanced out with the sweetness of cinnamon and vanilla. It’s bold and playful, which is why I think this would really suit younger males—especially for a club night or casual outings. Is it a masterpiece? No. But for what it is, I’d rate it a solid 7/10. It definitely brings back memories, and honestly, I can see why some would still gravitate toward it, even now.

I always follow the 3 spray method, One spray each side of the neck and one on the wrist, then dab both wrist together. (Just in case you want to know how much i use) The Top note is very sweet, as sweet as you possibly want a mans Eau De Toilette to be. Initially you get lots of sweet Cinnamon with hints of rose, this then settles down after 10-15 minutes. The cinnamon subsides slightly and you are greeted by a warm yet musky-orange note which is where this fragrance stays for a period of an hour or two. Eventually i was left with a subtle return of the cinnamon note, vanilla and Bergamot for the remaining period. Sillage for me was only 2-3 feet so this won't dominate the room you are in, Longevity wise this fragrance lasts around 6-8 hours on my skin after which it can only be detected if you smell your skin directly. I believe this scent is a winter fragrance best worn at night, it's definitely what i would call a "playful" fragrance. It's strong, especially for the first 15 minutes and possibly too sweet for wearing at work. As for the presentation, it comes in a bright red opaque spray bottle (being opaque means the liquid is naturally protected from sunlight so the liquid inside won't degrade) and it has a good quality atomiser!! Verdict: I feel this fragrance gets a bad rep, it's definitely a love it or hate it scent and it reminds me of friends that use to wear this back in the day at school. It's relatively cheap and easy to come by and is pleasant enough to wear, i can certainly see this being used as a clubbing scent or possibly even on a date but it's not a compliment magnet. I see this as a good all rounder in the under £20($30) category. RATING 3/5

Don't agree with the demonizing of this fragrance by recent reviewers who are exaggerating its demonic qualities. This is a cinnamon bomb with a lively dose of nutmeg, subtle florals and orange that seems befitting especially of Christmas. Yes, Christmas, especially to those of you who have lived in Spain where ripened oranges are the harbinger of the Christmas season and cinnamon and spice from Portugal by way of Indonesia, India and Malaysia made its way across the Castillian plains and mesa on the way to France, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands and later became symbolic of Christmas in Central Europe and England in the 16th and 17th centuries. This one isn't as potent as many here are saying. What you get is a rather moderate projecting fragrance with 5-6 sprays that emits a synthetic but spicy essence dominated by cinnamon but giving room to its spicy friends to add color and tone to the overall accord. Nutmeg, vanilla and cardamom all make appearances along with the subtle florals, musk and patchouli but none of them ever come close to dethroning the all-powerful cinnamon accord. Not a very versatile wear given its limited wear-ability beyond Christmas time, but as a Christmas fragrance this can't be equaled on the designer market and only recent niche releases have surpassed it in capturing some sort of essence of the mythological "Christmas accord".

3-4 years ago I read some very unfavourable reviews about Zero Plus Masculine. When you are reading a lot around fragrance forums you eventually find some members whose taste are similar to yours, and that can lead to exciting new discoveries. Some people whose opinions I respect said that this was a horrible stench, but Plus Plus was nice. I had time so I smelled both in the drugstore, and while I didn't care for Plus Plus, I had a big surprise with this one: it was a lovely creamy oriental on me. Fast forward these 3-4 years, and I smelled it again, a whole lot more experienced. I still like it but now I understand the dislikes, as it is synthetic and a bit screechy. It is very similar to 80's style oriental female frags. A huge does of ruthless cinnamon (I love it) on a bed of soft creamy powder. Synthetic and not the best material, but the idea is very good and it works. Those who like the female Orientals of the '70-80s might enjoy this one too. I found a very good layering companion for this: pairing with Opium Pour Homme takes away all the harshness and gives an awesome mix! It may smell dated if you care about age-related aspects, but it becomes smooth and refined.

Dry, woody, faintly metallic from the nutmeg, dusty from the spices, heavy on the cinammon, with an earthy base from the patchouli & faintest aroma of bitter peel & suede above a white-hot stone. Not as sweet as you would imagine from a scent seemingly formed to show case cinnamon. 0+ makes me wonder where the top & heart notes are hiding...put simply, it rushes through its entrance making a great base note out of its entire composition! This is no disaster: if you like a fierce, white-hot, dusty cinnamon of the woodsy variety (not the cinnamon tic-tac type) then you will find this fragrance delightful alone or as a base to liven up many a pretty-but-dull perfume. This is an inexpensive layering-lovely that will happily work with many fragrances, regardless of your age or sex (girls take note that this works very well with fruity scents that need taming & roughing up a little). Cinnamon-lovers, even if you have turned your nose up at other Diesel frags (like me) give 0+ a whirl.....layer up & create something dark & spicy.

I like this fragrance. The reason I like it cause it's spicy and this has like 3 different spice notes in it including Cinnamon(which among my favorite of the spices). The "Anise" note is in this one, and it can be considered a spice if the seeds are used(they use them to flavor Licorice candy). This may smell a little synthetic to some people. It almost reminds me of "Old Spice" which to some people is "dated" and think only old men wear now. I still like "Old Spice" but not enough to buy it anymore and I think this one is better and lasts longer. Another fragrance that resembles this one is "Jaipur" by Boucheron. That one is more classy than this one which smells about the same but it's stronger plus I like it better. Don't let the bottle style or name be a hinderance to you from buying a bottle if you've tested a sample first. If you like spice fragrances especially those with "cinnamon" notes in them then I suggest you try this out.

Bought this unsniffed for under 10$ and don't regret it. My decision was based on various reviews and I agree with most of them - this is cinnamon bomb! I don't get any of the citric notes (orange, bergamot) just pure sweet spiciness - nutmeg and cardamon in the opening, ciiiiinnamon in the middle notes and cinammon and vanilla (guess it makes the scent more powdery) and strong violet as it dries down. Very unusual perfume, unlike anything that I've smelt before. Can be worn easily by a girl - my girlfriend likes it much more than women version which is too delicate comparing to this one and wears it almost as often as I do. Lasting power is above average - lasts easily for 9-10 hours. If you like the scent of cinnamon this one is made for you, no matter you're male or female.

My fella has this, its soooo difficult to find now though so ive told him to buy another three bottles so we always have it in. This is just about the best fragrance ive smelt on him, it does wonders for me (us!!) & i find it warm & a little powdery upon dry down. I can smell the vanilla & amber & i think the cinnamon warms the whole scent up on his skin although i cant detect the cinamon in it as an individual note. Its inexpensive (when you can find it) but a true sensual fragrance with fantastic staying power. I even like it on myself when hes away on business but much prefer it on him. A star fragrance that reaches parts other fragrances cannot reach!

If you love cinnamon, this scent is for you, no matter if you're a boy or a girl! I also hardly get anything else than cinnamon from it, and it is a very dry, powder cinnamon in large quantity, which dries down with a bit of woodsy notes. Absolutely a unisex fragrance, at a really affordable price (pity it's been discontinued though), especially that it is quite long lasting (and very long lasting on clothes), but stays rather close to the skin. I know 0+ for women which was much sweeter and less "dry" than this one, but I think I prefer the masculine version. Great for colder days!

came across this today in my chemist. I told the lady i was familiar with all the usuals like le male, aqua di gio ect and wanted something different, She suggested this one to me. I have to say for a cheapy it is nicer than most of the other crap I have tried. I get a sweetish masculine cinnomin smell. I don't think it's that bad at all. Just gotta go light on the trigger. I can also get away with this because where i live I dont think the guys even know what cologne is, which is better for me because i can wear just about anything and the ladies will give me compliments

( Instructions on ) How to build a Bomb !! Stuff a bunch of rose petals into a balloon. Then fill the rest of it with Johnson's Baby Powder, and a ton of dry cinnamon (ground so fine that it can easily be sucked up by air, up someone's nose and directly into their sinuses). Tie off the balloon. Now, POP that balloon two inches in front of someone's face ! That person, would have just experienced... DIESEL. Zero. Plus. Masculine !! ( Luv this one. I always wear this when I'm dragged to a party I don't wanna go to! Does that answer your question, SDavis93 ?) LOL

interesting scent. pencil shavings off the top. about an hour in the cinnamon comes through a bit like youre smelling it out the pack. plus the light woods and a sort of fuzz powder, rounded powder of the whole scent. i reckon easily unisex, you could totally cosy up with this. layer it if you want. the middle and dry down slightly more easily unisex than the nice but pencil shavings wood top. winter test, skin. good longevity too

Besides the name and bottle design there are hardly any similarities between this and Plus Plus. It's definitely a fragrance for the colder days, with it's nutmeg and cinamon. Pretty heavy and pretty strong, so be carefull when you apply this! Although it's discontinued you can still find it here and there (at least in Holland). I won't look for it again though, this one's a bit too much for me. Value for money though!

Now this is value for money... I sprayed it on this morning at 7 AM, we are now 9.30 PM, in the meantime I sprayed on some YR Hoggar to enjoy the evening, and it's still projecting! Wonderful mix with the sweet tonka bean Hoggar smell by the way. In the opening it's a fantastic blend of cinnamon and orange, and the heart is warm. It's a mind calming scent to me. I love the stuff! Oh, the packaging is great too!

While I like spicy fragrances this is very one dimensional. A huge blast of fresh cinnamon that lingers for a long while. While I have this and like to occasionally wear it I must say it is a little brash and youthful. More early 20's single bar hopper than 40 something professional. There's a place for this but for me it is increasingly rare that I reach for it over more grown up scents in my collection.

Ok, I had this as a gift , 1st impression %100 cinnamon and Musk,so if you don't like the CINNAMON SMELL, forget about it. It last long and it has high sillage . Generally It's a BOLD fragrance. It's good,i liked it, it's different taste, natural sprays. Simply, if you like the natural sprays type of fragrances you'll like it. 8/10

This is an oldie, but goodie. This was the working prototype of many of the “spicy” new scents of today. Cinnamon explosion in the beginning, that turns down I to a nice vanilla spice. There are too many better perfumes with this DNA out on the market today, but the memories of wearing this and the compliments will always last.

Very strong and heavy,spicy and sweet,very good and bad.Bad if you go crazzy on the trigger(there's a thin line between sane and crazzy with this one),more than three sprays would be too much.It is more enjoyable in moderation,count with me now,1 2 3,not more than that!

I bought it for my son but ended up keeping it for myself since he did not like it. (I am a woman) It is a dry but warm and spicy cinnamon scent with huge sillage and I really enjoy it! The drydown smells like a vintage spicy oriental women's perfume. It is very unisex

Totally unisex to my nose! I love cinnamon and I really like that one! Cinnamon with spices and vanilla and on the dry down is waxy! Really good for night out compliment getter and cheap!!

It has a really good price-value. For example the Hugo Boss Bottled Night costs twice as this, and that frag is a shit. This is like a much more expensive fragrance. Give it a try

It's very sweet and girly, not my type of scent. Anyway it's long lasting and smells good. After 12 hours it is still on my skin but as a second skin and smells like JPG le male.

The first fragrance i owned, so i will always love it. It's not that sophisticated, but whenever i get a whiff i feel happy. Amazing lasting power and gets heaps of compliments.

this is soft. i like this. this is something i would wear to a relaxing day. not anything special. spray it twice. enjoy the spice. everything nice.

I'm female and I love how this smells on me. It's green and fresh, with spices in the base. ideal for Autumn and the price is fantastic.
