Dior Paradise

One of, if not the BEST, fragrances I’ve ever smelled. I have no earthly idea... as in I cannot wrap my brain around the idea of someone not liking this smell, never mind hating it. Reading the comments is insanity to me. I need to grab the newer version of Dior Homme Intense so I went ahead and stocked up on Doir Homme Sport, the EDT, and Parfum. Bought directly from the Dior store online and I was lucky enough to get Paradise as one of the samples. And wow. Just wow! It’s airy, this deep orange with a not too sweet almond... it says this is a gourmand but I don’t view this fragrance as one at all. This can be worn during the day, at night.. it makes you smell incredible but it also has a very expensive smell. I’m no slouch, I own well over 200 + fragrances, most of them designers and most of them bought at full price directly from the house. I LOVE this fragrance. Granted, I’ve only worn this three full days to test out. It has above average staying power. I get 5-6 hours of constant projection. After that it when it becomes a skin scent you literally cannot stop smelling your hand... it’s one of those scents that just spoke to me the instant I smelled it. Price. Yea, it’s expensive but it’s Diors private line so of course it is. They offer Paradise in (3) sizes - 1.7 for $231 | 3.4oz for $350 | 6.8oz for $495. I’d say that I love this so much I would normally have already made the purchase. But I’m going to instead of buying the 6.8oz I’m grabbing the 3.4oz and grabbing another 1.7 of Dior Lucky. That said, I believe this is now my signature scent. I adore this fragrance and I would say that if you enjoy Dior Homme and enjoy that DNA... this absolutely dries down into a Dior Homme DNA... just a lot more citrusy with an almond there but not a super sweet almond. Again, you can wear this during the day 100%. Love it!!

First, I understand that fragrance is subjective. However I’m appalled by all of the hate and negative comments on here. This fragrance is STUNNING. I’ve been wearing it for a few days now and I fall in love more and more with each wearing. It’s fresh, clean, juicy and it’s not so much of a gourmand. It’s just beautiful. I get 6-7 hours of projection with amazing silage and I still smell it on my clothes the next day in my closet just lingering in the air mixed with my LVs in my closet coming off my clothes. It’s such a compliment getter!!! I’m definitely making this a signature for sure! Btw I have around 200 bottles so far in my collection. Nuff said.

Not understanding the hate for this fragrance. It starts off with a burst of citrus and orange, and quickly dries down to a somewhat powdery almond. This part of the dry-down does have a soapy aspect. As it dries down further, I get the woody citrus notes back. Never smelled the syrup or tonka, nor a bitter tart lime. I do agree with another user that it makes a really nice layering fragrance. Overall, this fragrance does take a journey. I do wish the opening citrus lasted a bit longer than 20-30 minutes, but after an hour or so, the soapyness went away and I smelled some citrus again. I do enjoy the fragrance and will wear it frequently this Summer.

Smells very similar to Lacoste L’homme, which was a cheapie darling of the youtube world 10-15 years ago. Makes me wonder if there is a rhubarb note causing the citrusy dissonance in the first hour of Dior Paradise. Anyway its good, but thats why lots of people are smelling a familiarity to 90s frags because their were a few of these citrusy orange blossom fragrances around at the time which could trace their lineage to Kouros but had moved onto fruitier territory that was popular in the 90s. But Lacoste L’homme came later and added that rhubarb which created this interesting dissonance (some would say it smelled cheap) against the citrus notes

Do people who write these reviews even try the fragrance? Or give it a full wear? This is great! I blind bought a bottle of this because I personally like a few of MFKs creations at Dior. Bois Talisman and Cuir Saddle being two that I thoroughly enjoy, now along with this one... This is in the same realm as what LV did with Afternoon Swim, but a bit sweeter. Smells like a freshly cut orange with a “sweet” backbone, probably from the “syrup” and “almond” notes. Perfect summertime fragrance! As most citrus forward scents, it has just average longevity and average sillage, but it isn’t made to last forever or be “beast mode”.

First off I appreciate everyone’s thoughts and opinions after all it’s all subjective. That said all the negative reviews are exactly that negative reviews. This fragrance is not the loudest but it is a signature scent which in my opinion is 🔥 would I love more projection sure but at the end of the day the scent is interesting and inviting at the same time. Real fragrance reviewers understand that this is well put together. Unisex. Fragrance is to be gate kept. Well done. Sorry hataz in my Jay Z voice.

This fragrance I just got. This is one of Dior’s beauties, I don’t really get why some say this is “basic” or “boring” I mean it’s a summer fragrance, it can’t be this super deep sophisticated scent, be for real. This fragrance opens up with a bright citrus and dries down slightly sweet and beautiful. This is a beauty! 9.5/10 Projection-3-4 ft Longevity-8-9 hr

This is a really nice unisex sweet citrus almond fragrance which is different than most. Decent enough performance for a spring summer daytime fragrance EDP. I have a good sized sample to add to my large sample collection. Probably won’t get a bottle as I’m running out of space. The more I sniff this though the more I like it.

I agree with those who voted D&G Pour Homme. This really smells like it. After wearing it for several days, I'm really starting to love it. The longevity on clothing is very good and the projection holds up beautifully as well. This is a wonderful new release, reminiscent of the classic citrus fougères from the late '90s. 9/10

I don't really get the hate. it really is beautiful a new summer banger from dior truly well blended and masterfully created, at first, there there is a hint of GUERLAIN L’Homme Idéal Cologne, but then develops into a new direction a powdery sweety orange that’s sparkling in summer’s heat.

I love it! It smells so good. I don’t perceive the almond as such but the mix of citrus and woods is just great. It reminds me of something from the 90’s. Maybe a Moschino fragrance... But I definitely need a bottle of this Paradise 😃

This is not on the level of prives such as Cuir Cannage, Leather Oud, Patch Imperial, etc. Those days are over. This reminds me of so many different fragrances I used to wear back in the day but I'll first describe the opening and heart. Initially, it's bergamot dominant. After that opening, I get the heart of the syrup which I didn't like. Thankfully, that goes away and the bitter almond arrives but it's not bolstered with your traditional supportive note of vanilla, but there is tonka, which I'll get to in a minute. From there it dries to a woody tonka, but the tonka I think is fraction distilled and it doesn't smell gourmand or powdery, it smells airy and clean. Then the wood notes arrive and I think it's sandalwood with a little hidden vetiver. Now comes the fun part. As I said in the beginning, the drydown STRONGLY reminds me of stuff I wore 20+ years ago. I'm getting a mixture of D&G PH (Italian vintage formula), Davidoff Good Life, and Dune PH. Man, I really love the drydown, it's so nostalgic. BUT....Am I willing to fork over niche markups to smell these drydowns again? The answer for me personally, is no. However, if I ever come across a heavily discounted bottle online, I'd love to have it. I was REALLY disappointed with Cuir Saddle but this is a much better release, although it loses points for lack of uniqueness in my book. All that said, I do like the scent, because I like all the fragrances it reminds me of. Performance is reserved, but not terrible. ××××××××××××××××××××××××× Scent 89/100 ×××××××××××××××××××××××××

This truly is beautiful! I received a sample of it with my Dior Addict purchase directly from Dior and I'm again upset that 100ml costs £255 in this line. (Dior Addict is much more interesting and intriguing and costs approx. 40% less for the same size, but I am tempted!!) This has a very similar opening to the vintage D&G Pour Homme from the 90's - an overdose of Iso E Super with citruses and coumarin. Then it gets a bit deeper and resinous, perhaps darker even. It annoys me that Fragrantica is not reporting on the pyramid and accords in more detail, because there's also a sweet rose accord, and some powdery orris with almost a bubblegummy fizz hidden in the dry-down. I thought that Dior forgot how to release a polarising fragrance and this is a refreshingly vintage-like almost medicinal beauty from Dior. Unfortunately, with Dior's massive portfolio of one of the greatest trendsetting and triumphant classics in the entire history of perfumery (think Poison, Addict, Fahrenheit, Dior Homme 2005 (Original), Diorella, Dune, J'Adore, etc.) this falls short of that status demanding at the same time a higher price. 8/10 - I'll await discounts.

Pretty good, IMO redundant to L'Homme Ideal Cologne and Platine Prive. In fact, I sprayed them both and definitely enjoy them much more than Dior Paradise. Projection and longevity are very weak and intimate. I am not one to care for "beast mode" fragrances, but I could not smell this on myself, not even once. This is a return for me, nothing special, and if you have any of those Guerlain fragrances listed above, you have the superior variant of this DNA. A

When you know it's meant to be orchata/orgeat/tiger nut syrup, it makes more sense. But then when has fragrantica given a shit about accurate note pyramids. This isn't a bad perfume but it doesn't make my heart sing, which it really should at this price and with this name.

It has definitely grown on me, Love the sweet orange hard candy opening. It doesn't make sense to compare it to L'homme Ideal Cologne since is discontinued. I will buy a bottle when it reaches discounters.

This is a citrus I can get on board with. A delightful, well-blended summer freshie. I really like this but I do not deem it unique or well-performing enough to warrant the price.

Very very very similar to Un Jardin a Cythere from Hermes.

Surprisingly base heavy for a citrus forward fragrance, Dior Paradise is heavy on the tonka and even heavier on ambroxan. Imagine if Francis took Sauvage and added some tropical fruits on top, you'd get a pretty good idea of Dior Paradise. Far from being a summer cologne, I could see this being more suited to autumn or even winter months than spring and summer. Suffice to say it's all perfectly....fine. But I've lost track of the number of Collection Privee fragrances Francis has churned out in the past year. Before he took over at Dior, I for one thought he would reinstate some level of considered artistry to the brand. Instead, where a new Dior perfume used to be a special event, they are now seriously in danger of turning into the Netflix of fragrance houses. There is simply no way Francis can maintain quality control at this rate. No perfumer could.

To preface, I have very low expectations for this fragrance. The way that modern mainstream perfumery is going has been down the drain for years. The types of fragrances coming out and the prices they are selling them at are absolute insanity. One of the reasons I love being a perfumer. If I have an itch or need for a fragrance, I can just make it myself. Not that it is that easy, but yeah. For this fragrance, it falls very flat. It doesnt have any brightness or tropical feel to it other than a minute citrus. Does it smell bad? No, not really. Is it a great fragrance? I would say not. $350 for 100mls of this is pure thievery in my opinion. It is a very bland basic powdery "amber" with a light citrus. Not quite the paradise i would expect.

Received as a sample with my ispahan order. A nice fragrance and absolutely not unpleasant , i can smell the mandarin and lime and tonka especially and some musk ? Its very unisex and would be enjoyed especially by men . It feels very different to the rest of la collection privee especially their gourmands. I would class this as a fresh gourmand not sweet or desert like . Theres a slight green quality to this aswell . Id say its not unique as such , i have definitely smelt this before For me based on personal preference 5.5/10 - just not so much my thing. Based on quality and for other people who enjoy this type of fragrance 9/10

This is just fine. Base heavy, powdery, soapy and almondy. No fizz, no uplifting freshness or evocative story telling. Being worth the price or worthy of the Dior Privée collection is a matter of personal preference. Yes I personally was expecting much more but I can see why casual fragrance buyers would like it for just what it is: a nice and unbothered fragrance.

It’s ok. I agree with the comment below. It feels like it is trying to be a Hermes Jardin line. It feels like an unfinished Jardin Cynthere from Hermes, but FK is no Nagel who I think is keeping true to the jardin line beauty from JCE. Not bad, but if you want this vibe, then get Cynthere even though yes it has different notes.

None of the FKs creations with Dior lives to his legacy unfortunately. This a nice & cheap old idea from 90s(like Nikos Sculpture) got recycled with fresh oranges and labeled paradise!!!! It's OK scent that's it. I'm sad of what's going on with Dior

It’s not bad ,just lasts about 1hr on me and then disappears,it does smell a bit like Guerlain ideal so sent it back as sent try before you open sample which is good and saves wasting money

After trying numerous new creations by MFK for Dior Prive (and his own offerings) I am no longer of an opinion that he’s a master perfumer, nor that he’s any good at all.

OK scent, nothing to write home about. The real let down for the money is sillage and longevity - you may as well wear nothing.

Received this as a gift and testing it out today. Initially I thought I would love it as I’m a big fan of almond and citrus fragrances. Very girly/feminine packaging on what seems like a more masculine fragrance to me. I can understand why people are comparing it to early 90’s men’s fragrances. Not a fan of it at all so far and we’re now 5-6 hours in, dries sharp on the skin and leaves a lingering lynx shower gel type scent. Disappointing scent from Dior and for the price.

I liked it for first 30 min. After that it started to smell artificial. It is very light so I had no problem washing it off. On clothes it smells ok. If this is to replace Cologne Blanche ( that’s what I’ve been told ) it is sad.

Clean, fresh citrus fragrance with a musky dry down that reminds me of Versace Eros Energy. The opening is a bit harsh at first, but it gets much smoother as it settles on the skin. Performance isn’t nuclear — it’s more airy and subtle. I get around 4–5 hours on skin and slightly longer on clothing, but nothing too impressive. It feels like it’s designed to be more of a skin-scent style citrus musk rather than a loud projector. I really wanted to love this one, but the performance is a dealbreaker for me. I personally wouldn’t buy it, though I wouldn’t mind receiving it as a gift. Best time to wear it? The gym suits it perfectly. Since it’s not overpowering, it’s easy to wear around other people without offending anyone.

If you buy a dior privee in 2026 you are out of your mind... these used to be the best fragrances in the world, now they are just body mist fragrance. Not worth it, go buy something else dont spend your money on dior privee.

Francis at this point sir, just leave DIOR please... You ruined the best privee line in the world, also the best homme line... Dont waste your money people on a airy orange faint scent thats gone in 10 minutes.

Biggest dior let down of all time

Ok, I get how people are complaining about Dior privee collection becoming the “Netflix of the perfume world”, to quote another review. I get it and I agree with this; there is simply now way FK can maintain the artistry and exclusivity at this rate, as well as the sourcing for premium materials. That said the fragrance itself is beyond pretty! It opens with airy mandarine and is then grounded by tonka and ambroxan. The tonka is unsweet and slightly dusty and feels like freshly grated tonka bean more than the standard cheap syrupy one. The staying power is very good, too, as well as the sillage. But most of all, in a sea of cheap smelling caramels and boring “clean girl scents” this stands out as undeniably different and therefore interesting. Is full bottle worthy? Probably not. But Dior is offering the travel spray recharges for 80€ for 12 ml x 2 sprays, so that is not bad at all!

So I assume Kurkdjian discontinued Vanilla Diorama that was a masterpiece to launch his own sirupy water that is a “flanker” of his own personal failures so called niche fragrances and we are suppose to be ecstatic about it lol What a joke and disappointment is this man for Dior house! I suppose Christian Dior is rolling in his grave and his soul is n limbo since K took over his perfumes. For whoever will start trolling me after this review, I’m not a hater of any kind and I’m entitled to my own personal opinion, if you like it that’s fine but I find that it’s an absolute disrespect and disgrace to a house that used to be respectable and people enjoy purchasing their fragrances. I wonder if there’s any chance Dior would apologise to Demachy and beg him to come back before they’ll have to give up an entire history of fragrance?

Very Guerlain-esque in its scent profile. To me, it’s practically a copy of L’Homme Idéal Platine Privé. Same gourmandish, Guerlain-style lemonade-like vanilla citrus combo wrapped in a powdery almond coating. Very tasty, sunny and uplifting. Smells like Fanta. It also brings to mind L’Homme Idéal Cologne Forte, which was released recently, but Paradise is softer and more transparent, less sharp and piercing. All in all, it’s very beautiful and well-made, but feels somewhat derivative after Guerlain has already explored the sweet citrus and almond theme inside out. Otherwise, it’s a beautiful creation. Totally unisex but just a bit on the masculine side. The scent is airy and shimmering. No modern amber-woody steroids detected.

I wanted to splurge on a 2026 summer scent so i sampled this along with guerlain neroli outrenoir and celine parade .. and unfortunately this was the least impressive of the three , dont get me wrong its not bad at all but not worth the price tag either , i was expecting an interesting twist of almonds and syrup on a freshie but ended up being a typical men citrus and woods perfume (think mancera cedrat bois) its inoffensive , nice and refreshing especially at first spray but then doesnt stand out at all atleast in comparison to other citrus offerings at same price range ..

Testing today. . Disappointingly it's typical of some of the latest Prive Diors that are now heavily featuring this modern molecular baseline. It's a molecular spicey scent. . Not a million miles away from the far dry down of Valiaya from PDM. . But the spices are slightly more masculine and airy. Not an unpleasant scent, but definitely not worthy of being a high end Prive line, and definitely not aligning with the colourful note pyramid. . . It's mixed spices and non descript molecules 👍 . . Or is it possible i was sent Spice Blend by mistake 🤔

not 'Syrup' as a note. "Christian Dior’s retreat estate Château de La Colle Noire, hidden among the landscapes of Provence, once served as both sanctuary and inspiration. Far from Paris, he cultivated flowers, wandered among blossoming almond trees, and entertained guests with cocktails scented with orgeat syrup." Orgeat Syrup has a much better cling to it. if you want to do a perfume justice (even if it is just plain money grabbing) then name the Notes as it should be.

Below comments are exactly what is wrong with fragrance world, lol. See how this will be 4,5-4,8 after some influencer will glaze this so all the nose blinds will change their mind. This is a banger from DIOR. The best summer fragrance this year no doubts. Beautiful blend, everything works so well with each other. 4 compliments in first hour of wearing this, get real everyone this is a really good fragrance
