Diorissima

Diorissima, an entry in the new Maison Christian Dior collection, is a fresh, agreeable blend of orange blossom, gardenia, and musk. Sweet, bright, and slightly creamy, it leans ever so slightly feminine while generally being an appealing unisex warm weather day time option. Performance is unimpressive, a burst of initial projection almost predictably drying down into a more modest near-skin scent within a couple hours of application. Unremarkable at its price point, the now-standard $220 for 125ml for the new Maison Christian Dior entries. As far as orange blossom scents go, it is very good but not as good as Lili Bermuda SunKiss or Profumum Roma Meringa, both of which pack more of a punch and have a bit more intrigue than the comparatively simple, albeit elegant Diorissma. 8 out of 10

Diorissima was my first purchase from the Maison Christian Dior line. As someone obsessed with fresh and newly bathed scents given the year-round tropical weather where I live, buying this was a no-brainer. On the initial spritz, the citrus burst reminds me of a bath soap -- clean, uplifting, and definitely an inoffensive scent even if one oversprays with it. In 2 hours, it becomes a skin scent -- still nice and a bit powdery. Other people might need to come close to you to smell it, but you can still smell it on yourself especially on your clothes. Pretty decent longevity even if it is so cologne-like. This is a nice, light and airy scent -- definitely perfect for summer and spring!

i’ve been going through a fresh musky phase and this one is lovely for the hot tropical weather where i live. it works really well in the office environment too. sillage and longevity is quite amazing for a citrus. i own both this and chanel’s Biarritz, and both have very similar citrus-musk DNAs, but i find diorissima to retain the sharp citrus-ness more, whereas Biarritz quickly mellows down into a soft lovely musk. i personally prefer biarritz more, but i find it only suitable for nighttime as it disappears too quickly. also to my nose this orange note smells more like lemon.

Simply beautiful 😍 It’s spring in a bottle fresh yet performs well, youthful but still has a certain level of maturity, classy yet not boring. It’s a clean fruity floral; quite simple and linear but so so pretty and a slight sweetness from the orange. This along with Sakura are the only two fragrances you need for the daytime in spring/summer! Edit: I have layered it with Grey Dior which I find too heavy on the patchouli and it’s created the most elegant and classy/ feminine spring fragrance ever 😍

Today I smelled this and I really liked it... Then I was like "I know this scent"! I kept smelling it and I remembered Miss Dior Cherie L'Eau that I used to wear during summers, when it was still available. So this is the same scent in a new bottle. Fresh, citrus and summer. Yum. I'm happy that it's available again. However, it’s a bit overpriced in this new format.

It's a shame this beautiful thing was discontinued, it was so good!

Tried this at the local MCD store. Despite spraying more than three-four full sprays on my wrist, I could hardly smelled anything. Another musk problem for me I suppose. Anyway, whatever I could smell was light and sweet citrus floral which I think is neutral enough to be unisex. Whatever I could smell didn’t stay around for too long though. From there, I judge that the silage is intimate. This is probably the first MCD perfume I have a big problem with. Alas. Edit. after nine months I retried this to a better result. The perfume still disappeared after the first spray but reemerged afterwards and the perfume was beautiful albeit light and nonprojecting. I got a bottle anyway. The longevity was great. It stayed light and ephemeral on skin for over ten hours and on clothing for over fifteen.

Lovely fresh and somewhat spicy orange with a light touch of gardenia. The musk is there, lingering in the background perfectly blended with the other notes. On me all notes stay the same throughout the performance.

Woow🤩 Creamy light scent,I love it

This is a refreshing sweet orange fragrance balanced with creamy gardenia. Nothing phenomenal or ground-breaking, but very pleasant. I don't love orange or citrus fragrances, but smelling this puts a smile on my face and makes me think of sunshine and summer. Spraying liberally: it starts with an invigorating orange note but not high-pitched or screechy, it surprisingly sticks with me for a good three hours plus. I think that is great longevity for a citrus note. Gardenia blossoms shyly into a creaminess after a bit of warm up time on my skin. The gardenia is fleeting and it dries down to a clean soft musky skin scent. The clean, citrusy musk evokes an image of a young lady wearing a cooling silk dress strolling through a spring meadow (just grass, no flowers). Edit: in an effort to find a similar scent, I came across Atelier Cologne’s Bois Blonds. The dry down is very similar to my nose. Bois Blonds opens brighter and sharper, while the orange in Diorissima is a softer/sweeter citrus note. But Diorissima has better longevity.

I just received my sample, and I must say that I think Demachy played it safe with Diorissima, we have a bright uplifting summery fresh musky scent, that has been done many times before..you would think that with a name like Diorissima, the scent would have been more unique, more intriguing..because it simply is an orange musky scent, way overpriced for what it had to offer..it reminds me of Les Escales, a mix of Portofino and Marquises..longevity is poor, it gets soapy in the base, and really I think that Tiffany and Co is a much better scent in the same category than Diorissima will ever be...quite disappointed here...plus I don't find it suited for men, more on the feminine side..

If it’s your first time experiencing this type of citrus, with white flowers profile, it’s nice, clean, calm, but it tends to be somewhat common. I think I was expecting a little bit more of a powdery, sherbet sort of thing, with a hint of pungent greens. The lactonic is there. The citrus is there, as well as the greenery. The green of the gardenia is too sharp for me. It overpowers the citrus. It’s a sophisticated scent you’d expect on someone’s nice aunt, or mom at an outdoor wedding, or afternoon tea . . It’s just not my cup of tea. This is not a blind buy.

I really have a hard time believing that there are only 3 fragrance notes in this, I smell much more going on here. Unfortunately it kind of grosses me out and I blame it on Secretions Magnifiques. I had the misfortune of smelling that train wreck and there's this weird sour milky note in it which I also smell in this. That fragrance made me feel so ill, and I can't deal with any perfume that has that particular note in it. I smell oranges, slightly sour milk and pencil shavings. I'll stick with Chanel when it comes to luxury fragrances.

This is tough for me. On the one hand, I find it very pleasant. Lemony, fresh, reminiscent of a Miss Dior Cherie from lives past. But, on the other hand, it is lemony and a pinch floor cleaner-ish. This fragrance is non-offensive and maybe I will have a different opinion of it in the summer as my opinion is being tarnished by Canada in December. Like the other Maison Dior fragrances, it is well crafted. I am just unsure how I feel about it right now. Longevity and projection are average-high.

The reincarnafion of Miss Dior Cherie L'Eau Diorissima is a part of Maison Chistian Dior perfume collection. The scent makes me reminisce the old day of Dior fragrance, the creamy floral and citrus notes of Miss Dior Cherie L'Eau. It's really a nice scent with moderate sillage and longevity for my spring and summer. Welcome back my gem!

I bought this hoping it would be similar to Miss Dior L’eau as other people have commented. It is!!! I’m SO happy. It was my first perfume as a teenager and I had missed it so much. Citrusy lactonic gardenia. Simple but intriguing at the same time. Not the best longevity but I can look past that.

Dior is not kidding with the launch of its new La Collection range. Diorissimo, Diorama, Diorella, Diorling, Diorever, Diordior, and now Diorissima. Should I Dior me or Dior me not with Diorissima? Absolutely DIOR ME! -AB- PS: Demachy, please make "Diorme" happen.

This almost has the same notes as Miss Dior Cherie L'eau (swap orange with bitter orange.) Can anyone go smell both and report back if they are the same? (L'eau's been discontinued for a while so this may be difficult...) And Francois Demarchy made both.
