Higher Energy

i just bought this, as i was looking for a summer-spring fragrance. i've read in a lot of reviews that this scent lacks sofistication, and would be more apropiate for teenagers. as i smelled it i didn't think of any teenager at all. i'd say it's appropiate for a young man, but not a teenager. don't base your opinion on a paper sample, try it on your skin; at first it smells rather common, but those are just the citruses on the opening notes. once you let it land, it will be like a flower blossoming; letting new peppery and musky smells arise. not for winter, but i would recommend this fragrance to anyone looking for a nice spring scent. it's true, it doesn't scream out loud "i'm here", but it really smells great when close to the person wearing it, and is not one more of those cheap spring fragrances like hugo's or ralph lauren's crap.

Found it and git it ! I was estranged from higher energy as all retailers were saying it has been discontinued... Don't know if that's the case but I just scored a 100 nl edt ! Of this fresh, happy, uplifting great juice. I don't care if its too young for me :-) I like it. It is an energiser, far superior to boss energize since its a Dior ! Any how, I think its sophisticated and the best of the fruity woody fragrances around. It reminds me of something else.- some other fragrance - but cannot nail it right now. For those who have not tried it, its a 'must explore'fragrance ! Recommended. I don't know for me it fulfills that 'clean' summer fragrance requirement which higher does not, so I am more inclined towards this.

Knowing your strengths is important This is why I respect Dior’s team They know freshness is not their strong point so they usually avoid making them I can keep counting the bad fresh scents they produced and a lot of them are actually flops The original au sauvage is a menace All of the Dior homme fresh scents are bland Dune is one of the worst Dior fragrances ever Even in their private line it’s almost impossible to find a freshy and mostly they fail to sell Dior sauvage in all its forms is a disaster (excluding the elixir) Except this one it’s refreshing and pleasing I enjoyed it while it lasted and it didn’t last for long A must try at least but to me it’s one of Dior’s best fresh scent

I like this flanker of Higher. It has a bit more of a woody character over the original Higher, but still fresh. It is well blended and as was pointed out by another reviewer below has an interesting mint note throughout. I like both of the scents, but I like Higher a bit more. I enjoy the scents from the early 2000's. To me they tended to be less sweet like modern scents are. This is an easy reach and works for any situation. It's a great office scent, not too strong enough to offend anyone. Sadly, it was discontinued in North America (along with the original Higher) around 2006/2007. Now it is available on online discounters and Dior's UK website.

This is like a classic Dior freshie mixed with something like polo blue gold blends melon fruity note. Slightly spiced too which gives it an interesting twist. This is very 2000s minimalistic / fresh / optimistic and it is clearly a high quality product even though it is not necessarily as “intense” or as serious as some of the other offers from this brand like the Dior homme line (pre 2020), Fahrenheit etc. I love this and it’s a great easy to wear fragrance which still feels unique while being nostalgic. It’s comparable in mood to something like Armani mania pour homme.

I got this for my younger brother. It's so fresh and 'energetic'. I identified the pepper, nutmeg, mint, incense, sandalwood and musk. I guessed that there was lemon but obviously it's grapefruit. The dry down for me has more pineapple and melon in it along with the musk that anchors this perfume and sandalwood. It's amazing, could be worn during the day all year long. It's long lasting and the sillage is incredible. I wonder if I could get away with wearing it hahahaha, will def update if a lady could wear this :P

This was one of my first more expensive scents back around 2007-2009. Remember that I used two 30 ml bottles at that time and I found it quite week and not so long lastning by that time. I wanted to be a bit nostalic so I orderd a 100ml bottle directly from Dior last week and wow! They must have improved this since last time I had it. The longetivity is amazing and also the sillage. I can easily smell this all day and it smells just as good as i remember it.

To my nose it is a summer fragrance, with very bright and pronounced citrus and green notes, nothing too heavy but powerful, as @Jasper has pointed out. Juniper and pepper create a wonderful balance with the (very slightly) fruity and (more obvious) green notes. Gives me lots of joyful ENERGY every time I spray. Love it.

another gem put out to pasture. i have just discovered it and i love it, but dont get much longevity out of it , if TF bottled this and called it amalfi costa grapefruit ,it would sell for £140 for a 50ml bottle i have no doubt ,ignore the cheap feel to the bottle and cap and just inhale .

I love fresh perfumes and this one is one of the best it's just so fresh easy to where and you can feel it half of a day. It reminds me on active today Follow The Sun and ambition. It will definitely wake you up in any part of the day. Longevity 8/10 Uniqueness 8/10 Overall 8/10

No where near similar to Dior Higher, but also really good. Fresh scent. The topnotes have a slight rubbery smell in it, which I really like. Furthermore it's citrus, but not the regular stuff. When it dries down I get a warm, spicy and fruity-nice afterglow. 8,5/10

one of my top 10 a real sexy fruity fragrance with a wack of incense giving it a sensual nature that makes it a real sexy fragrance.i have been using this on and off since its first release. overall aahhhhhhh...... gorgeous

I got this on a nice warm spring-like day and it smelt so familiar and enjoyable it reminds me a bit of the Mühle Aloe vera aftershave lotion but fruitier. It's gonna be a nice change from all the aquatics

A fragrance that I absolutely love. It takes well to my boyfriend's skin. It smells absolutely divine on him. A definite repurchase for those summer/ spring days

HebaD'Opium, certainly a lady could! I have worn it for eight years now, and no one has ever questioned the femininity of this fragrance on me.

Had this for my husband..and ever since he's not allowed to put something else!I LOVE IT

Drydown smells like basil on paper (?), still not bad nice one, spicy and tangy. 6/10

It's nice to finally sample Dior Higher Energy, a purportedly fresh and sporty take on the more provocative, earlier Higher, which is now discontinued and I've not sampled. Higher Energy is quite reasonable in most respects as a designer freshie, balancing freshness and being quite pleasant and agreeable with some degree of provocativeness. Pineapple and grapefruit are familiar opening contributors, while juniper and mint spike up the mix a bit. The fragrance dries down into a heart of incense and pepper, giving way to a base of what comes off to me as sandalwood, musk, and perhaps cedar. It's not specifically very masculine but perhaps leans slightly masculine with the inclusion of the pepper and incense, specifically, but it's a quite pleasant unisex freshie fragrance overall, more ideal in composition for warm weather but also due to performance, which isn't great, with mediocre projection and longevity. Pricing is fair at $55 for 100ml on FragranceNet. I don't see any standard retail sources (like department stores) still selling it, so Higher Energy seems to be confined other retail sources (i.e. Walmart, vendors) and the secondary market. One I'll likely try to acquire as, if I had to guess, this too will be discontinued at some point. 7 out of 10

I tried this gorgeous summery scent just a short while ago and it's fading fast from my skin but bear in mind it's the middle of winter and I was in the pouring rain so it's probably washed off a bit. The opening is really something else and if you are fond of citrus fresh scents you will no doubt love this one! It has that special Dior Homme Sport grapefruit note and another thing that reminds me a little of my beloved DHS (2008) is that I sense some ginger although it's not listed, so it may be the nutmeg mixed with other notes giving this cool spicy (and a little green in this case) vibe.It is definitely a lighter scent than that DHS though. A beautiful scent but right now I'm not keen on the performance, but I'll try again once the weather warms up, on a dry day! Scent:9/10 UPDATE: I had to give an update, it's been several hours now and I can still smell this on my skin, unlike the original version sprayed at the same time. It's faint but like I said, some had been washed off with the rain imo. I really like this, definitely has an uplifting quality to it in a similar way to Clinique Happy for men.

A nose-stroking scent with a fabolous longevity. Though there are numerous rivals for this platform of the scent, but yet it's something distinctive and unique. Initial phase starts up so fresh with a touch of zest of citrus and pinneaple with freshness of the mint. Not insulting or intense at all, considering the top phase. Really impressing and divine. Very quickly the middle phase launches with spicy notes and a touch of bitterness. Again, a very cool cute scent. The dry down notes are a feat, cool and still feeling a touch of bitterness, aromatic but you can feel spice there. To me, at this point, it's close to it's predecessor, Higher. Also feels close to Chanel Allure Homme COLOGNE Sport (2007), in the pepper and citrus aspects. 6 whiffs worked for over 10 hours on my neck. In the end it appeared close to the skin, but sensibly present. It's mostly for day time, but nothing would go wrong wearing it at night: it has a bitter dark side also. A great scent for the heat, specially spring time. It's supposed to be Dior!

میوه های آبدار و شیرین در کنار ادویه های نرم و صیقلی بر بستر ای از مُشک و صندل و چوب های تراش خورده و البته پودری که همه این ها باعث میشه اون وجه میوه ای کمی خفه بشه و بیشتر شیرینی اون ها حس بشه تا تازگی‌شون هیچ بخش ای از ادویه ها تند و تیز نیستند؛نه فلفل لبه های تیز داره و نه جوز هندی وجه پودری و صابونی عطر شبیه یک شامپو بدن میوه ای با رَگه هایی از لوندره که باعث تعجبم بود که این نت رو توی لیست نت ها ندیدم ولی کاملا حس اش رو دریافت می کنم عطر کم جون و نسبتا ضعیفیه اما رایحه ی بسیار دوست داشتنی ای داره و میشه 3 فصل به جز زمستون ازش استفاده کرد -تست شده از نسخه‌2020- ************* scent:7.5/10 longevity:6/10 sillage:5.5/10 purchase value:4/10 ******** overall:5.8/10

Higher Energy is by no means something special or out of the ordinary. From the initial spray, grapefruit, citrus, nutmeg and a woody-musk scent are the most notable ones. Where it does shine is after the dry down. You're left with a very aromatic, woody and classic scent that fits really well for the office, since it doesn't have much sillage and isn't a head-turning smell. It's a pleasant smell and does work for every day usage, but it gets a bit boring after a while. This is what a recently hired business grad would wear to the club to unsuccessfully pick up girls. 6/10

Smells really similar to anything that has a melon note like Polo Blue or Blue Seduction. This does have a bit of light smoky-spicy element that stays on the fresh side, which makes it feel masculine and handsome. I don't know but it kinda reminds me of Bvlgari's tea note, which smells very late 90s and early 2000s. But the overall quality here just on par with clothing store fragrances and I wouldn't pay Dior's premium pricing for something like this.

This fragrance really gives off that summer poolside vibe. It captures that bright sunny vibrant colored mixed citrus and pineapple drink thing too. Its allot more sophisticated then just that and also more refreshing. It has a nice vodka freshness in the mix as well. A true summer fragrance that works great in hot balmy weather. You really can't over spray this one too. Yah its safe... but manages to lean slightly sweet, fresh & sophisticated.

Dior Higher Energy mi spiace per tutti i mastri profumieri che si sono espressi a riguardo delle note olfattive di testa io avverto solo il Pompelmo, nel cuore la noce moscata e solo labilmente il pepe alla base invece il legno di cedro ed i muschi fanno sentire forte la loro presenza.Personalmente un profumo senza infamia e senza lode da primavera/estate. Sillage 6.5/10 Longevità 7/10 Profumo 5.5/10

It's a beautiful scent but.. it's just a nice masculine scent. Dominant grapefruit and juniper. I do not get strong pneapple or melon. And I get lavender from it even it's not listed here. I like it but it's not enough to buy it. The longevity is about 4 hours and the projection moderate for the first hour or so. Than it stays close to the skin. I recommend it mainly for summer days and nights.

A pretty decent early 2000s freshie! Opens with a ton of spicy pepper, juicy pineapple, and sweet melon, all backed by a huge juniper note that makes it feel like an effervescent gin cocktail. The drydown doesn't come out to much more than pepper, cedar and vetiver for me, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Would love to try Dior Higher and its different fruit cocktail one day to compare!

Smells great, if a bit generic. Fruity + fresh mainly, I'm not getting much spiciness or pepper. It smells like your typical early 2000's men's perfume but done in a high quality Dior way. Not the most awe inspiring or mindblowing scent, but a very good, 7.5/10, easy to wear at all times manly fragrance that smells great. Never owned the original Higher so can't compare the two.

Whilst there are clearly bright fruity notes (melon, pineapple), they are instead dry and smoothed over by the woody base. Definitely cooling, and it's worked well on the hot and stuffy days. There's a sense of longing and nostalgia in this scent, like a pristinely clean, yet long abandoned, indoor pool. Could be those light musks in action on the dry down. 7.5/10

I didn't like this at first, but I came to quite like this - it has a peppery, musky, vanilla "waft" to it - but fresh too! But as people have commented - it's not very original, but, it is well blended. The sillage is very nice too, it sort of grabs your attention. I think it is similar to Allure by Chanel but this is more peppery. Higher Energy grows on you!

This reminds me a bit of Platinum Egoiste, but way less harsh. It's a simple and well done fragrance, basic woods-citrus-light spices combo, nothing out of the ordinary and it's even hard for me to understand why it still in production (while Dior keeps killing some classics). I paid around USD 45.00, and I think this is the right price for it.

I like how this fragrance smells on me. Not fruity at all. It is light and fresh and powerful at the same time. The green notes in it make this a refreshing scent I will reach on a hot and sunny day. The scent didn't change when it mixed with sweat, which make this one good for wearing to the gym. A cold shower in a bottle!

Light, young, and quite expensive. Nutmeg and citrus notes are the most dominant to my nose. You can smell that it is good quality and it can be used on almost every occasion. I kinda like it, but in the long run it becomes a little boring. Will probably give away the leftovers to someone who appreciates it more than I.

Suitable for all seasons and occasions. Smells a little like Higher but more woody and less fruity. Like a more mature version of higher, although it was marketed as a younger version. An old school spicy woody cologne with just a hint of pineapple and juniper. It’s quite similar to Instinct by David Beckham.

Very zesty opening fresh fruity mint for like 15min then citrus mixes wit tropical fruits for about 10 more min then LOTS of pepper lol its totally underrated imo it smells good to me and the dry peppery base makes it wearable all year round i think i dont know about performance on this one

I went on a date with my long distance girlfriend and she was wearing this,idk why it’s marketed only for men she did pull this off perfectly ,I loved it in her,bit synthetic but very invigorating,was constantly releasing serotonins off of me from the whiffs lol.

A muted version of Allure Homme. I had this for a few months and found myself using it more than my other fragrances. It whispers but you're aware of it's presence. The quality shines even when the note composition is minimalistic.

easy to wear, not offensive, very casual, but very common. It's more of the same. I just got a miniature, look at it every day, and haven't felt like wearing it for a while... maybe it lacks originality!

Higher Energy is a light one. Definitely. I had it as a gift, when I was 17. Good for that age, good for the summer. But not nowadays. Wouldn't buy it again. Too light and non-masculine scent.

I own three from Higher of vintage collection and rate it here from best to good as... 1. Higher Dior 2. Higher Energy 3. Higher limited edition (Black)

This is very very fruity and sweet to my nose, in a great way. I do not understand the comparison to Elysium. This is completely different. 7.8/10

Very similar to Hugo Energise. Including the notes are very similar. Refreshing as an orange gum. The cost is higher than each of the Hugo Boss

Very green, woody and fresh. I don't really get the fruits or citrus notes. Has this old school gentleman vibe for sure.

Lovely fresh scent from Dior! Not your regular summer/aqua-mishmash. This one is pure class.

This one is nice,but the longevity is soso.
