J'Adore Extrait de Parfum

Anyone that smells me when I wear this loves it💯 This is my signature. I still have over half a bottle in my first purchase, but I have been terrified of this fragrance getting discontinued and me not being able to purchase a second bottle. So needless to say, I splurged and bought a second bottle. The second bottle will not be opened until the first one is used up, and I have a third bottle as back up. This is a perfume I don’t want to ever have to be without. J’adore Extrait De Parfum is the finest fragrance I own in terms of the price and how much I absolutely love the smell. My only complaint is that it is not a spray. I noticed fine debris that had settled in the bottle from my skin, even though I ALWAYS made sure to wash my hands before I allowed the liquid to touch my fingers. The stopper doesn’t dab enough perfume out to satisfy my lustful craving to be engulfed in this fragrance, so I bought a refillable glass spray bottle. After making sure that the bottle didn’t leak (by testing MUCH cheaper fragrances in the bottle) I poured J’adore up into the spray bottle, and I am here to tell you that was the best decision I have ever made when it comes to perfume. Each spray is like a blast of GOLD. I was never captivated by this fragrance by simply rubbing a drop onto my skin (which damages the perfume and causes it to fade faster) the way I am blasted away into infinity by one single spray. One spray of this perfume, and I am able to be smelled by anyone around me. The initial spray fills the room with a gorgeous bouquet of flowers. Then I carry that bouquet everywhere I go on my neck. My recommendation: If you’re feeling obnoxious (in a luxurious way): Two sprays on the neck (one on each side) One spray on each elbow crease (on the inside) If you’re feeling romantic: One spray on the neck One spray on each elbow crease If you just want to wear J’adore in its finest and purest form: One spray on your neck Top notes are what overwhelms you whenever you overspray a perfume. This fragrance doesn’t overwhelm, because Parfum Extraits have little to no top notes. This fragrance captivates. This fragrance leaves you wanting more. Never have I ever loved a perfume in the way I love this one. I will wear this until they make it no more. J’adore Absolu is the closest version to the Extrait, but the Tuberose and Orange Blossom in Absolu is what keeps Absolu unique from the Extrait.

I make sure to wear my 0.5 oz bottle, because I don’t know when or if this fragrance will get discontinued. The perfume is the most beautiful, rich, and luxurious one that I own. When I buy it again, it will be my third bottle since 2019

I got the tester of this. this one is closer to J'adore L'absolu with J'adore L'or by François Demachy. Shame that this one is discontinued.

Wow, such a luxurious creation! I agree with others here that this is like a combination of Absolu and L'Or - but on steroids!!! I used just a drop on the back of my hand and am surrounded by florals so rich they are almost dripping with nectar. There is a lot more going on with this fragrance than just the 3 notes listed. I can also smell tuberose and gardenia, two notes not even listed. The Ylang is the fruity variety, but this is not a fruity floral, though on first dab it does initially smell like the original formula edp. due to the ylang. That quickly changed and the rose comes through with a soft honey sweetness. It's soon joined by a jasmine that's as luscious as a ripe peach. It's lush, sensuous, and voluptuous. IMO few houses do Jasmine as well as Dior does. This perfume evolves quite a lot and really comes alive with body heat, showcasing one beautiful facet after another like a precious jewel. The perfume even has a jewel tone. There doesn't seem to be any base notes, like wood or musk, that I can smell. I'm not saying they're not there, just that this is so well blended I'm not picking them up. No, this is all about the flowers to me. Sexy, sophisticated, and stylish; there is nothing classically vintage here though it does share the silage of perfumes from the past. The only downside is that I only got about 4 hours from it before it became a skin scent, but I did only try one drop on the back of my hand. Still, since this is a perfume, it's not something you can carry around in your purse to touch up, especially since it is a dabber. Overall, I love it for what it is right now but will have to do a full wearing to determine whether or not the longevity issue is worth the price I paid.

This version of the extrait is a combination between the J'adore Absolu and the J'adore L'or. It has a pronounced tuberose and ylang accord and also some rose. The freshness of the melon and pear of the original is missing from this, in fact it smells very little if at all like the original. I have a vintage extrait version of J'adore (circa early 2000) that is the classic J'adore but way stronger and concentrated (to the point of smelling a bit sour because of the fruity notes). However this most recent extrait is totally different and beautiful on its own, but please do not expect the original J'adore only more potent, as this is a different perfume.
