J'Adore In Joy

I first smelled this at the mall when I was on a tightly packed escalator - so many shoppers out that day. The girl just ahead of me was wearing this and on her, this smelled simply divine. There was a beautiful fragrance trail as she stepped off the escalator. I couldn't help but ask her what she was wearing -- and it was THIS, J'Adore in Joy! J'Adore In Joy has the ozonic aldehyde effect similar to the first sprays of perfumes like Calvin Klein's Escape; Estee Lauder's White Linen; Elizabeth Taylor's White Diamonds, ET's Diamonds and Emeralds, and ET's Diamonds and Sapphires; and Un Jardin En Mediterranee by Hermès (it has the same chemical ozonic aldehyde effect as these perfumes but does not smell like these). When this is sprayed, it is as if the chemical chord of this expands and interacts with the air where this creates an atmosphere around you. This settles down after awhile, but the initial spray has a strong type of ozonic aldehyde effect. It has notes that have a little bit of that "tinker bell" type quality... a sparkling champagne effervescent chemical play that happens as the notes dance on the skin, giving this a very bright playful type vibe -- but with the peach notes grounding this, this warms the scent up at bit. There is a subtle peach tea type note with this which is unique because there are not many other fragrances that have this peach tea note. This later calms down more into a softer finish throughout the dry down. When I first sampled this, I can see the references to baby wipes. Yes, there is definitely a freshness in this perfume that could be used in some other products. This is pretty and attractive. It has a certain allure about it, it is appealing -- (although not blatantly or overtly sensual or sexual). This is office friendly and I could see that this would be a perfume that would be great during spring/summer -- or a lighter fragrance to wear during the whole year - if this is really your thing -- and something that you resonate with. -------------- For those that feel that this is not quite enough -- that it is a bit incomplete... Why not add a touch of another fragrance note to this... Maybe an isolated floral like a tuberose; gardenia; something sweet -- Or - add something a bit more grounding for a lower alto type chord - pistachio or almond; dare I say vetiver? Hmmmmmmm- the possibilities are endless. This perfume provides a great base - you can keep tweaking this with different notes if you like. This is not a paint by numbers kit -- You can experiment with layering different perfumes - just for heaven's sake -- GO LIGHT! Don't create a fragrance bomb - here! Add a splash of whatever you like with this - and make it your own, (if you feel that this is too generic or unimpressive). ----------- One note: Several perfume reviews mention this, this has a very strong salty type note which comes out more - the longer this wears on the skin. This borders on some of the marine-salty type perfumes, which is a little wonky with my chemistry. The aldehyde/ozonic effect is also something that takes awhile to subside. This is aggravating my asthma a bit. --------------- This perfume starts with the dancing sparkling notes which is what I dearly LOVE about this perfume, that only lasts a few minutes before you are submerged in the salty type oceanic/marine chord. Make sure that you are someone who does well with the saltier notes. If so, this could be really fabulous on you. Unfortunately, this is not really working that well with my chemistry or asthma reactions. It will have to be returned, unfortunately - because I really love the first part of this perfume. This is definitely worth a try - The girl on the escalator wore this one extremely well; it was a perfect blend with HER chemistry! ----------- For those that are finding the salt a bit too much - I just found a sister perfume to this - "Chanel Gabrielle Essence" - This is slightly less salty, smells almost identical to the other notes in J'Adore In Joy!

Omg I was so excited to get a free sample from Malouf pharmacies Australia! They never give out samples normally. When I walked in-store, there stood the most beautiful display I've ever seen. Bottles of J'adore In Joy, surrounded by golden materials and glitter. I was immediately drawn to it like a magpie. I love huge white florals and am so sick of the same sweet fruity florals everywhere I go. In Joy was such a pleasant surprise. It's not overly sweet, even though it contains peach which I'm normally not a fan of. Everything just merges perfectly here. The beautiful white flowers are divine, mixing softly with this new salty note. Salt? If someone mentioned that before in perfumes I'd have thought of something aquatic or weird smelling, but here it just works. This is no ordinary fruity floral and the gold bottle is so stunning - just screams opulence but isn't over the top. You could wear this day or night in spring or winter. Lovely!!! That last photo of Charlize Theron is exactly how it smells if she were also surrounded by beautiful white flowers. I just wish I could afford a bottle now. ETA: I sprayed this on again freshly washed skin and unfortunately that salty note turned rank on me; the exact same thing happens with most aquatic/marine/oceanic notes. I probably didn't notice it the first time as I was sampling several perfumes that day. Great reminder to never buy straight from store but wait! Luckily it's just a sample. Not the J'adore for me but willing to try other flankers.

DIVINE and guess what, I am not a fan of J'adore! No offence, it's just not me or my taste. I only liked a bit the EDT Lumiere edition, probably due to the neroli tone of Dior house. Guys, just wake up! I love Dior more and more everyday but mostly due to his perfumes. We may have seen thousands of editions coming and go but this one is a must. I've never thought I could smell salt. This was promised by Olympea-Paco Rabanne, WANT-DSQ2, but J'adore in joy strikes 100% of the feeling. If you're a lover of J'adore you may be shocked or pass by at first, but then the original EDP essence will follow, though not as a 'perfect' flower that doesn't exist according to Dior's nose Francois Demachy. Fresh, fresh, fresh. Salt if you may smell it, like a wave of the ocean smashing on a rock, a light touch of real peach (like the same trail Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet has on it's 'fruity' vibes) and then a nice harmony of white flowers. Francois, PLEASE! Please try to bring back Miss Dior Cherie or at least something way better now. We're all praying, aren't we guys/girls? Imagine the salty pop-cornish vibe together with fine patchouli, neroli and a bit of caramel. Now that I think about it, I can live without it. Great lasting power, sillage depending on skin. Try it, remember my words and...just ENJOY it!

Omg! Amazing! Absolutely gorgeous.This is juicy peachy fruit, slightly salty creamy gorgeousness. How did this escape my attention? I’m pretty sure because the original held almost no appeal to me. The original is very French grown up and perfumey. This is sparkling, fizzy, fun, creamy flowers of jasmine, a bit young and flirty, but still sophisticated and elegant. The peach 🍑 is very pronounced and fresh. It’s creamy, sunshine and delicious. The jasmine and ylang are beautiful together. There is a sparkle of citrus coming from the neroli that joins the peach. I also tried the J’adore Absolu and found it to be less fruity, more deep, floral, and creamy. It’s absolutely gorgeous as well and I’ll be purchasing that one too. Are these the most original, complex, and groundbreaking fragrances? Not even close, but they are classy and elegant even if they are a little simple. In fact I like that about them. Like the Dior New Look style it will never look bad. I’m kind of upset with myself for just dismissing this line because I’ve been missing out.

J’Adore in Joy represents Dior’s take on a salty, white/yellow floral for summertime wear! The classic J’Adore is probably the most beloved Dior fragrance and for good reason! This seems to be less liked, but it’s my favourite J’Adore. J’Adore in Joy is a fabulous choice for careless sunny, warm days spent out in the sunshine. It retains the heart floral of the iconic J’Adore but it has been twisted by adding a top note of salt, cutting down the amount of fruits and woods and adding a tropical, exotic facet with the addition of ylang ylang. It’s a more creamy, bright, elegant, a saltier, marine, yellow floral version of the 1999 iconic J’Adore! While I love and own the classic, luminous J’Adore, I adore J’Adore in Joy! I happen to have a crush on salty perfumes, which I wasn’t even aware until recently.. I am not sure if it was intended to be a limited edition launch, but like with all the designer’s perfumes I love, seems to not be available to purchase currently. Does anyone know if J’Adore in Joy is officially discontinued??

Perfect for summer, a salty peachy scent with wafts of jasmine when inhaling more deeply. I'd say in order of prominence I get sea salt, peach, and sometimes smell the jasmine. So I'd say the salty/marine accords really do shine through the most. I haven't smelled anything like it yet. This is a perfume that goes well with extreme heat without being in the category of fresh perfumes, which a lot of summer perfumes tend to be. It's not really sweet or gourmand, though I can imagine this as salt crystals that line the rim of a yummy oceanside cocktail, maybe a peachy one! Only negatives are this is very light, albeit typical of these kinds of perfumes for summer (i.e. Bronze Goddess) and sometimes what people look for in summer perfumes. It does last more than 3 hours, however. It's definitely not a dupe, but if you want something with a similar vibe for cheap, Jennifer Aniston Beachscape reminds me of this.

I've tried this a couple of times - out shopping by spritzing my wrists quickly - then seeing how this sets up on my skin. I really love the sparkling dance of colorful ingredients that first sets up on the skin. This lasts the first 30 minutes to an hour, then seems to sit much flatter to the skin. I'm drawn to the sparkling - dancing of ingredients -- if I purchase this in the future - it will be because I really like this quality. Womanity also has this same type of sparkling quality - but there were irritating ingredients in that one that didn't set up with my skin and chemistry. --------- I smelled this Joy on a lady that I recently met - and it smelled FANTASTIC! It reads GREAT in an area about 5 feet away from the person that is wearing this. This is one that I'm drawn to - out of the newest releases this year. I need to keep revisiting this - will probably purchase it!

Didn't realise this flanker was not as popular as others, I mean.. how can it not be the star of the show?! It's not J'adore tho, in my opinion, very little resemblance to OG or the other flankers. Perhaps it just works well with my chemistry, hands down this is my most complimented perfume of all time by both men and women since the summer of 2018 (200+ full bottles of juice plus over 400+ miniatures and testers that aren't listed on my profile -yet), I'm on my second big bottle and have a backup bottle also 🤭 Little goes a long way, it's sweet it's peachy it's fresh it's juicy it's salty it's playful yet elegant, it's true happiness to me, awakening my senses like no other, lifts my mood instantly. Great performance and sillage for an edt is outstanding 👏 it is very Dior. I think she is the one for me ♥️

Just launched here!!, real pretty fresh floral, different from J'Adore range has offer, is unique in it's own. I love the contrast between the salty note (nothing marine or calone) with the floral edge, Jasmin and White floral notes, makes an exclusive feeling, followed by a tiny fruity tone. Is soo bright, without being typical summery scent. Feminine and with a real elegance... I have realized that causes reactions, friends who like regular or Absolu editions doesn't find attractive or totally opposite, so that is very interesting, fragrances which incite determinations. It also doesn't fit into gourmands, is a new salty trend, which in this case is absolutely beautiful... From my view doesn't resembles Womanity nor Olympea, not at all.

This is lovely!! At first sniff it reminds me of a minty melon. Weird, since neither of those is listed as a note. But that's what it smells like to me. ^-^ It's actually so refreshing for hot summer days, where some perfumes can be cloying and too sweet, but not this one. Now, seeing the notes, I can tell it smells a bit salty, indeed. I've smelled a sample of this in the winter and remember not liking it. But I've since heard it's great for the summer, so I reached for it again now in August and it was perfect! It definitely is on my wishlist now as a summer scent. Also, I don't find it similar to the original J'adore, but it's just as lovely for me!

This opens with a spectacular confetti like burst of a fragrance chord! I LOVED it the second that I smelled the opening - however, it quickly dried down into something that was not really registering well on my skin. I love the first burst of this - It was delightful! But need to study this a bit more before purchasing it -- I wish it would hold the first bright burst of confetti... This is what I really LOVE about this particular fragrance! --------- This is completely different than the original Jadore - or than Dior's Joy. Easy to confuse this by the name. You really need to try this one on your own skin. The first confetti burst is totally a JOY!

Ooooo! Immediately, I like this! The saltiness comes straight through on top, with the delicate white florals following behind. A touch of peachy yellow flowers at the base, and this is honestly summertime floral perfection. The shampoo-like scent of the original j’adore has been replaced with an almost beachy vibe... J’adore, to either its advantage or detriment, smells very 90s (I personally love all eras of perfumery, so this isn’t necessarily a con to me) but this smells a lot more modern, without losing its original characteristics. I really like this! This, and Absolu, are my favorites of the J’adore line.

Starts off very different from other J'Adore flankers I've smelt. It starts off bright and fruity. I believe that's the peach with just enough white florals in the background to ground it. So far the white florals don't seem indolic. I'm getting none of the urine-like overripe white floral scent I get from the original 1999 J'Adore or YSL's Mon Paris. Whatever they did here smells much better, cleaner and younger. 20 mins in the bright juicy peach has dissipated and J'Adore's signature indolic white flower scent has taken over. The indolic scent is well-tamed however so it never goes overly putrid.

The first spritz of this is so powerful as the alcohol is evaporating it makes me almost cough, but I am smiling, as the scent fills my senses with... Joy! There is just something about the J'Adore collection that I absolutely love (clue is in the name I guess). In Joy is J'Adore's little sister who fell off the yacht off the coast of South Africa while holding a glass of Woo Woo or some other fruity cocktail drink while wearing the EDP. I am terrible at describing fragrances so apologies. Longevity on skin :5/6HRS Sillage: Radiates somewhat but mainly sits close to the skin.

J'adore meets womanity. Its the fleshy peach and piercing salt that creates the similarity. But this is sparkling, bright and doesn't give off a metallic smell. On the skin it mellows out quite a bit and the fresh dna of j'adore is present. I am smelling something citric in this too, like grapefruit, but its not listed. So far this is my favourite of all the j'adores and i can't wait to purchase a bottle. Edit: a friend got it for me for my birthday I'm cheering! It's so beautiful I love it.

This has just landed in our beautiful New Zealand. A++++ to the house of Dior. i have used J'adore for many years and jumped at buying J'adore in Joy. What a beautiful perfume. I can't compare it to any fragrance I've tried before. Just simply feminine, regal almost. I can wear this any season, any time of day. My husband keeps saying it smells very good, so nice. I am even struggling to pin point any distinct notes, they amalgamate in perfect harmony. Maybe I even prefer this to J'adore!

Just lovely and gorgeous in the summer heat! Salty jasmin, peach and yellow flowers. Crisp, bright and with just the hint of tuberose. It's there, surely, and maybe it's more than a hint, but the jasmin, the ylang ylang and the neroli/peach combo makes the tuberose behave like "one in the crowd" instead of acting like the boss she often acts like. Such great and uplifting and yet sensual summer fragrance! Salty jasmin at its best.

My 11 year old daughter told me I smelled nice when I was wearing this and she is not very giving with her compliments lol. This is a fresh and uplifting scent to me. It’s refreshing to wear and is my first experience with the jadore line. Bright and fresh opening with a little fruit a little floral but not too much of either. Quite happy with it and projection and longevity good on my skin. This is a grown woman fruity floral.

My signature scent for a few years now. Absolutely stunning, elegant, well-blended, unique, effortless... I really don't understand the low-ish rating, maybe because it doesn't have that smell of the OG J'Adore? Idk, it's definitely more contemporary and less mature, but I find that to be a positive. The only thing I can fault is the longevity and projection but it's an EDT so 3-4hrs is pretty standard.

The opening is very fresh, salty (like a sea breeze) and citrusy with the sweet tone of jasmine in the back. It's very cheerful, completely suit its name. I sprayed it and went outdoor, and this one really bloom in the heat. You must try it yourself! A little let down is the dry down that turns into original J'adore plus faint salty note, but the opening is ravishing!

I absolutely love the sea salt scent.. It gave me the light breeze and a stroll along the beach kind of feel.. Longevity wise.. lasted quite long on me.. For a while, I was obsessed with the scent. I even sprayed in on my clothes & inner wrists before I sleep and by the next day when I got up.. I can still smell it faintly.. so about a good 8-10 hours.

This is one of my current favourites. It opens like a fresh nectarine with none of the heavy notes and complexity of J'Adore EDP. It's joyous. Fresh and light. A pleasure to wear on a Spring day. After a few hours, it closes unmistakably as J'Adore. The J'Adore DNA is long lasting. This perfume will take you from day to evening.

I love this! It's in the same vein as their joy, and kenzos lumiere flower and red flower. It's definitely most similar to kenzo flower lumiere. It's a summer perfume that makes me feel like a french courtesan in the nicest way possible. It's that salty jasmine smell. Floral layered over animalic.

This is BEAUTIFUL!!! Imagine your walking out of the sea and sunshine penetrating on your skin! Saltiness from the ocean air soft clean breezy some florals with a peachy undertone. Perfect for warm summer days AND nights!Not heavy,not a sugar bomb not to less. A BEACHY PERFUME MINUS THE COCONUT!

I feel like this smells really expensive, however random that smells. It has a fuzzy kind of smell when you first smell it, which is definitely the salt coming through. Then the peach notes kick in. I love it, easy to wear and very inoffensive and could easily be worn by anyone.

I love love love it. I love it the same way I loved the original formula of J'adore. It smells so expensive. I hope they do not discontinue this one. It's class. I don't get any salt really just really deep sensuous wafts of elegance. Well done on this one Dior.

A very "happy" fragrance for me. Definitely fits it's name. I noticed it as "floral" first and then the peach mingles very nicely. Did not pick up on the "salt" note, yet there was an airy quality as others have mentioned. Beautiful fragrance, really love it.

This is an acquired taste. I never loathed it but I went from dislike to meh to like to love. And I might be veering twd obsession. It's very similar to kenzo flower red but it packs a little more tangy punch. This is a summer necessity!

Sweet and salty, good for a summer or spring day. One of the things I like about this is that the scent isn't too strong or weak, and it's something you can wear at a workplace assuming you aren't dousing yourself.

The dominant note here is the neroli, because who enjoys an unripe tart peach? Plus it just is. And by the way, it will grow on you. The year it came out it from from hate to a must have.

Blind buy! And no regrets. It’s so fresh and clean, I’ve received quite a few compliments on this one. Very beautiful scent; I think it’s one I’ll definitely repurchase when I run out!

Fine. Fresh. Feminine. 💅🏻 A beachy take on the original J'adore, and Olympéa's much more well put together sister. Such a refreshing and elegant blend of salt, peach, and jasmine.

I bought this in 2018 and it is still one of my favorite perfumes! I like floral with a little bit of an edge and I think that's what the salty element does for me.

Absolutely love this "vacation" scent but the Eau De Toilette simply does not last long for the price. :(

Selling a partial bottle of J’Adore in Joy! UK shipping

I've had this fragrance for a while now, ever since it was launched. It's a Like for me. Nothing groundbreaking, pleasant and fresh with no usual suspects like lemons or mint. It's sparkling and light, like bellini. Peach usually leaves cheap and plastic feel, but there are no such downsides here. This S/S season I finally keep it in the front as my most reached for fragrance. Baccarat and the clones are EVERYWHERE so I thought that this one has the trendy mineral vibe, but in a decent, subdued and non-intrusive way. Perfect for daytime in the hot coastal town, where I live. That's in theory. My disappointment lays in the longevity - there's none. The dent in the bottle is evident, all drained this season. Alas, I can't smell anything by the time I leave the house. I unsealed it myself and kept properly (obsessively) in the cool dark cabinet, with the rest of my collection. If i didn’t know better, I'd suspect that it hasn't been stored properly and therefore lost the performance quality. It's that weak. The first sprays are lovely refreshing and mineral as they should be and then it's gone. Beautiful presentation, beautifully colored liquid, but shockingly illusive scent. As a reference, and a sort of a reply to the reviewer below: I too do consider L'Or the gem in the J'Adore line and I certainly wouldn't mind investing in a bottle, whereas In Joy can't be compared to it from any aspect, especially not the "value for money".

J'adore (and LVEB) flankers never cease to amaze me. Most of them I like more than their mamas; same here. J'adore in Joy is exactly what it states: a scent of joy, love for life, instant fun and the exclamation of spring. I say summer too. Only in this case Demachy chooses to use more floral notes instead of fruit and gourmand notes that are mostly used in spring-summer related perfumes lately. Yes, in the drydown there is an artificial note, but that's okay, it's bearable; you have to trace it alot. Fot the most part it sets powdery peachy on the skin after a nice detergent-like neroli, which is lost later. As for other florals in my opinion they appear and dissapear. A bit sad about tuberose, because i like the floral and would be happy for a more pronounced one with the already existing peach. But that's okay, at least we have neroli. As for the salty flower: it's not that salty, so don't veer off because of it. Maybe this is the artificial note in it that might bother some customers, but do give it a sniff, it's not that terrible. Nothing from the DNA of the original J'adore, thank God. A new scent. Although it does remind me of Burberry Weekend, but by no means they are close, I would just put them in the same family. Longevity is up to 5 hours and in the beginning of wear time it projects very well, I got complimented. Later it stays close to the skin.

what I get the most are white floral with salty touch and fruity vibe, I say, it was a lighter version of the original J'adore because it has fresh, salty and breezy touch, definitely for youth, playful, joyful, easy going person, it is not biting and aggressive as J'adore EDT, J'adore EDT flanker is really aggressive and biting me from the top to the middle note, easy to wear and easy to love, even it is EDT concentration but it has a very good longevity on me, i get 6+ hours on my body with 8 spritz and last 24 hours on shirt this perfume is close to Elie Saab EDT, Miss Dior EDT and J'adore Voile de Parfum, they are not 100% similar but just changing some compositions, my crazy mind also thinking of Davidoff Cool Water and Bvlgari Acqua Pour Homme because of the fresh salty vibe, I don't mind to wear this perfume to public, as long as I enjoy it very much, and I get compliments

This is a perfume where I enjoy the drydown much more than the top and heart. At first I find J'Adore In Joy a bit soapy, also savory without being salty. Kind of like a leaf of lettuce between the clean jasmine and peach. As the fragrance developes, it gets better. The weird green note slowly turns into a salty note, the scent becomes softer and smoother. And after a few hours it smells wonderful. All the soapyness and greenness vanished, it's just extremely creamy jasmine with the support of tuberose, and equally lovely peach, and while not in the official notes, orange. The perfume smells as if it would sparkle. Very feminine, an elegant fruity floral that isn't immature. Longevity and projection are good. I wish the topnotes would be better, maybe it's just my skin or my nose... I would recommend to try it for yourself.

I was eager to test this fragance. Today i got a sample and i could test it twice. It reminded me a fragance I knew and yes of course ... Womanity. On my skin it turns fast into a skinscent that remains so for more then 8 hours. It is not a bad scent but I was waiting for a wow factor. As a j' adore fan I must have this too so it goes to my want list. My favorite is still L' absolu. P.S: 3e test. A bright floral salty peachy and quite nice. It is a "like" not a "love", at least not yet, but I am still planning to buy it as a J'adore fan. I would also like to tell you that I am not trying to make an issue if I say that this perfume reminds me Womanity. That is so, just like that. I think there is no need to say that a scent reacts differently depending on the Chemistry. Thanks God :).

This fragrance screams Charlotte York to me - she just wants everything to be polished and all to go exactly as planned. It is refreshingly sweet (not a typical sweet fruity or sweet vanilla fragrance), which makes it incredibly easy to wear. But the type of freshness isn't the citrus-freshness. It's the very light and polite combination of jasmine and ylang-ylang. Salty vibes vanish fast. Definitely a summer fragrance and easy to wear to the beach as well as office. Good for meditation/relaxing and suitable for the occasions where you just want to feel pretty and kind. Sillage is medium on my skin and lasts about 4 hours. Definitely my favourite J'adore perfume. All in all a nice peachy summer scent.

Today's contact with my bottle of In Joy finds it refreshing, girly and cute. As if you added citrusy magnolia to the top notes of the eau de toilette classic. It is less flowery. Still floral but with fruity edge to the scent. Funnily enough this year's dark pink magnolias all scent the air around them to a similar citrusy, pure freshness. It is similar to the classic just the highlight is on the fruity, juicy, fresh. It is an aura of a scent. It performs worse than my fav edt 2011 edition. And I think it is less durable. Not sure. I found it salty during summer. Now, during April this aspect does not exist.

this is the only exception i've found to my peach aversion. it's a super watery, dewy peach, and i swear there's a marshmallow note in here too. it's not really the scent profile i gravitate towards at all, but it's so nice. the bottle i have was my grandmother's. it was practically brand new when she passed away, so i don't necessarily associate it with her (her signature was YSL Opium), but it's still special to wear because it was once hers. wearing it today and every time i get a whiff of it i feel this strong pull of nostalgia for something i can't put my finger on. it's so lovely

I couldn't identify the salty note I detected when I first tried this perfume; it registered to me as something oceanic, something airy, light... it was a note I recognized but struggled to define. But there you have it: Salt. And the result is, overall, very pretty. To me, the mesh of salt and florals is very oceanic, almost reminding me of the 90's classic, Escape (Calvin Klein) in the combination of sweetness and yet airiness. Does it garnish compliments: Yes. Is it pretty? Yes. Will it become part of my permanent rotation? Unlikely. Longevity: 7/10 Sillage: 8/10

Lilmisse- I'd encourage you to try the other flankers and even the original of J'adore. They are all extremely different. When the original came out, a college roommate of mine wore it constantly and smelled lovely with it but had a tendency to overspray it. It turned me off of it, and as the years went by and the flankers came out, I assumed I'd dislike them and avoided trying them. Big mistake, since as of a year ago the EDT Lumiere has become my fall/spring/winter signature that garners me tons of compliments. And I wish I'd discovered it years ago!

Edit: Actually, I changed my mind about this one:) Yes, it isn't ground breaking, but there is something so elegant, so addicting. It smells like the original J'Adore with extra fruitiness and salty ocean air, but very nicely blended. It smells like a posh lady in the evening after a day at the beach. I have a 10 mL travel size on the way! Original review: I really like some of the other Jadore flankers, but Jadore in Joy is really basic and boring. I was about to blind buy it, but thankfully I sampled first. Shampoo with a touch of salt.

Today it opened surprisingly green and fresh. Immediately I can detect neroli, then jasmin. Ylang-ylang gives the composition texture, the sea salt is but a shadow in the top notes. It reminds me of J'adore L'Eau Cologne Florale. The peach is indeed in the base notes. I remember it more salty. Added J'adore L'Eau Cologne on my wrist - it is fresher and greener than In Joy, which is indeed similar but more floral. After a couple of hours it becomes a salty peach, the floral heart changes to a spacious note. It feels marine-like but joyous?

this was the first perfume i ever bought with my own money, and for some reason was my signature all throughout high school (mostly because it was the only perfume i owned lol) which is crazy because in my opinion no 14 year old girl should be wearing white florals 24/7 this is still mostly fine but i associate it entirely with school dances and football games and high school drama. and for that reason j'adore in joy i'm sorry my dear but you are in the bottom this week

Opulence, radiance, elegance and sensuality. That is what high perfumery is all about and Demachy understood that while creating this one! This one is the first from the J'Adore line to impress me, but, boy, did it made a good impression! The unusual combination of peach and fleur de sel gives this fragrance a fruity salty touch that combined with the warm floral background smells just divine! Francois Demachy did a great job (again)! It gets a 10/10 from me.

Not a strong scent, but one that kind of just enhances the smell of your own skin if you know what I mean. Straight out of the bottle I get honeysuckle which isn't even on the list of ingredients, but that's the smell it reminds me of straight away. But as it dries on the skin it gets really warm, fruity and I do get the salty, but I like it. It's one that will have you sniffing your wrist again and again just to get another whiff.
