Miss Dior (2012)

April Update: I love this. I don't think it's as easily appealing as the original Cherie...but over time I've found it addictive. Kon-nos91 over at the Miss Dior Eau de Toilette review page called the EdT "caramelized patchouli", but I would use that to describe the EdP (I used to own that EdT as well and prefer the EdP.) The Mandarin - Jasmine - Patchouli/sandalwood combo creates a caramelized, gourmand effect without being overly vanillic or obviously dessertlike. I truly wish Dior had kept Cherie EDP as well as this version (call it Miss Dior Sensuelle? Miss Dior Jasmine?) over all the other versions and flankers they created. Specifically the 2012-2013 version of this one. ------- I recently acquired, from a small local perfume shop, this version. Batch code 3N01 (2013), formulation code 5615/A. [This formula was around even in 2011 "Miss Dior Cherie" bottles; only starting January 2012 did the labels drop 'Cherie' from the name. It is possible though that non-listed ingredients did change from 2011 to 2012/2013.] This perfume is strictly for a woods & patchouli lover--if you don't love them, stay clear! Don't blind buy. I seek out these older, modern Miss Diors specifically because they aren't filled to the brim with vanilla. I love vanilla in short, small bursts--a vanilla bean dessert; or a hug from a vanilla-perfumed friend. However, I cannot stand heavy vanilla in MY perfumes following me around all day. This is the last of the modern Miss Diors to not suffocate with vanilla. I should have loved Miss Dior EdP from 2017, but it was saturated with vanilla, and curiously NOT advertised as one of the major notes. I mention this because I smell notes here that are likewise not officially listed. For instance, I smell woodiness, and something slightly smoky and tobacco-like in the drydown...could be this particular patchouli...but maybe Dior quietly kept in some of the vetiver from the 2011 listed notes and just didn't want to mention it for 2012. There is also a barely-there trace of something vanillic or tonka in the late drydown...but thankfully not a dominant note at all. Onto the fragrance. Miss Dior 2012 to me starts off like Coco Mademoiselle but the drydown is quite woody, warm, and masculine. It gives me similar "handsome patchouli-musk" vibes as Angel EdP! Something reminiscent of the body scent of a beautiful, masculine man. Yes, Angel the outrageous gourmand had a tryst with Coco Mlle, and Miss Dior 2012 is the daughter. The sweetness that starts with the mandarin-floral top and middle gives way to an androgynous, woody drydown. Shout-out to these heavy glass bottles with the frosted houndstooth bottom. For a mass-produced entry-level luxury house perfume, they are one of the prettiest ever. They sit elegantly in one's hand while admiring the play of light and texture along with the metallic bow. I was sad when Dior removed the frosted bottom, too. MD 2012 is not the sweet, sparkling strawberry champagne from 2005-2009 MDC, but it's still very nice and shows a much clearer 3-phase development from beginning to end.

Boy oh boy! Yesterday I had a quite nice day in contrast with what we're living at the moment, the era of stupidity. I never thought I will find easily a bottle of my signature scent. Also, I thought of adding this review in the 'new' Miss Dior's page so that people will see the main differences and get a clearer view, or get jealous. Who would ever check a page of Miss Dior EDP named as 2012 edition in 2020? I better let my review here to keep this perfume as a secret for the few ones of us out there. Dior used to be my favorite in perfumerie. I could hardly find a not interested perfume of Francois Demachy. The bad news is that I found it out late. I promised to myself and I still keep my promise not to spend again any $ for Dior's perfumes, I mean perfumed waters. Yes, I am not experienced with the private line nor I say there aren't good creations of them in the stores, but many years ago they used to be #1. So, I've got a bottle of 2015, exposed to the light, from a guy who probably didn't know what he was selling. I had low expectations but after spraying it..oh...sweet memories came immediately on my mind. After so many years and the perfume not only is durable and still the same, but it reminds me how boring and 'colorless' are most of the new releases. We're talking about absolute concentrations of oils and not essences! That caramelized and 'dirty' patchouli in a hug of an orange that never stops radiating, that fizzy champagne that most of you describe, the hidden rose that's not a classic feminine one, the jasmine spicing up the mix, the musk as a last trace of memory, a modern twist of the very first Miss Dior, watching the word from a prism of crystal colored in ambery/orange/gold tones. Even the ad of it captures correctly the feeling. I just can't say how this perfume made me love chypres when I was a gourmande lover. It taught me what quality and class means. This perfume in 2 words is: love & freedom, exactly what I need. p.s: You don't want me to comment on lasting power & sillage, right? Spraying myself yesterday early in the evening and after 14+ hours it still radiates without being headache inducer.

I recently rediscovered this gem in my collection. Christmas 2011, and I had Miss Dior Cherie on my wishlist. My darling fiance spent hours trying to track it down, but everywhere he went in our smallish city was out of stock. Finally, just a few days before Christmas, I happened to be browsing the counters in Myer, and there was Miss Dior -- minus the Cherie, but she looked much the same. And so she ended up under the Christmas tree for me that year. But of course, this wasn't the elegant strawberry/caramel gourmand I remembered. I didn't have the heart to tell my darling that it wasn't The One. And honestly, it was too -- heavy? intense? mature? -- for me, and the beautiful Miss Dior was relegated to a lingerie drawer, coming out only for anniversaries and birthdays. Fast forward to now. That darling fiance died almost three years ago. I couldn't touch any of my perfumes for two years because the olfactory memories were so terribly intense. But in recent months I've returned to my little collection and am rediscovering the treasures within. Miss Dior sat calmly, quietly, waiting her turn. And she *is* a treasure. I can't quite believe how much my impression of her has altered. I get the most gorgeous bright citrus -- crushed leaves and stems and peel, smoothing out into the sweeter, softer mandarin, hugged by quiet rose. She's intense, yes, but not heavy. Mature, but only in so far as to be elegant is to possess a certain level of maturity. I don't get the jasmine. For me, this is complex mandarin, with a whisper of rose, and secured by very green patchouli. It's a still life arrangement in a glass bowl, in an ivory-toned drawing room. I tend to gravitate towards garden-y, domestic scents, so this reads as sophisticated and elegant for me, in the best possible way. For reference, my batch is 1Z01 -- December 2011. Judging by Miss Dior's absence from the shops and sudden reappearance, I believe this is one of the very first bottles of the 2012 reformulation. I'm looking forward to testing some of the later versions!

The first nice designer perfume I ever bought myself. My mom brought me sample of this from the perfume counter because she knew I was recently really getting into perfumes. I fell in love immediately with the tingling mandarin note. When I received a $50 eBay gift card, I knew I wanted either this perfume or Coco Mademoiselle, to have my first special occasion young woman perfume. I knew Coco Mademoiselle was the more popular choice, but I had always just loved Miss Dior better. The ads with Natalie Portman, the bow and houndstooth bottle, the more floral nature of the perfume - it felt more girly than Coco Mad. I went ahead and bought this one for myself, and I've been so pleased to wear it for the 10+ years since. This is one of my signature perfumes - it has never let me down, from lasting through formal occasions to just making me happy in quiet moments with my loved ones. It's a true perfume, if you know what I mean. It smells like perfume, in the best way. There are scents like this but nothing exactly like this, in my opinion. Opens with that fizzy citrus that I love so dearly. Heart of the purest sweet jasmine and rose, so seamlessly intertwined that they are indistinguishable. I would recognize it anywhere as the floral accord of my beloved Miss Dior. Enough patchouli to give it a backbone, not too much to make it a harsh sporty fragrance, like Coco Mad in some iterations can be. I love it. I've used my 50 mL to the last drop, and I will miss it, as I didn't realize when I bought it that this fragrance would undergo a million versions and reformulations. This perfume saw me through the years when I turned from Miss to Mrs - it feels like a dear girl friend. A girly perfume, but not for a little girl - for a little lady. Now that I've finished my bottle, I may try the new Miss Dior releases that come out every year - I have never paid attention to them because I always had this one waiting for me at home. Who knows, maybe one day one of them will stand next to this one in my heart.

Hold everything. Just hold everything for one second. WHERE HAVE I BEEN??? How can this miracle have existed since 2012... and not been mine?! Because of HATERS. I really wish more people assessed this fragrance on its own merit, and not always as compared to this, that or the other. All the Coco Mad comparisons had me turning my nose up at this gem, when really it is a completely different animal. Now, the folks over at Dior need to get their act together and figure out what they want to do with this "Miss Dior (Cherie)" line/collection/fiasco and STICK.TO.IT but my goodness, if this isn't a truly gorgeous perfume then my name is Bob! (It's not.) I picked it up off the shelf at the store, prepared to sniff and sneer at it from atop my Fragrantica-Perfumista high horse, but Miss Dior knocked me right off the saddle. I am FLOORED. The stuff sparkles. Not like glitter, but like diamonds! I didn't know patchouli could be this glamorous and refined! That Egyptian jasmine? That's the stuff all the perfumers should be using. Rich and decadent and opulent... but not heavy at all! What kind of sorcery is this?! The jasmine picks the patchouli up out of the dirt, cleans it up, puts it in a (creamy musk) gown, sticks a diamond pin in its hair and gives it a champagne flute to hold, pinky out. Ugh I've never experienced patchouli like this, WHERE HAVE I BEEN? I think the scent pyramid is incomplete. It needs to be expanded to include Vanilla, Drugs and Witchcraft. There is a vanilla-citrusy something in there, and I get glimpses of pink roses, but that jasmine... My stars, that jasmine is the magic that made the patchouli beautiful. Like somebody said below, the comparisons to Coco Mad are a compliment to Coco Mad - Miss Dior (new) is a far superior being. Ok, ok, so we lost a beautiful thing in the original Miss Dior Cherie (2005) but some of you need to put your big girl panties on and get over it before you lose out on this gem. Bravissimo, Dior. (Now quit messing with us.)

I was lucky enough to have just found the 2012 version (a 100ml bottle in a local store and a last 150ml bottle in an online store - ironically I paid less for the 150ml bottle, btw...).Anyway, this one is more refined and more classy-old school smelling than the 2017 version. They both share the same dna, however the difference when you smell them is quite noticeable. This older version, however, turns so amazing in cold weather, so beautiful and powdery-yummy but in a sophisticated way...The funny thing is, that if you spray it in warmer weather or when you first spray it on the skin, you most certainly not expect that aspect. It is as if it transforms - never have I been that surprised by a perfume. Nothing in its initial notes prepares you for that transformation. For those wondering which version they have, apart from checking the batch code, I'll let you in on a couple of little secrets: the outline in the front of the box as well as the smaller one where it says Miss Dior, is slightly goldish on the 2017 version, and completely silver on the old one. But the biggest tell is, the older 2012 version has the notes written on the back of the box (look especially for that Egyptian jasmine note that separates it from the newer one). In the early 2012 and on years, the base of the glass bottle is frosted.However I can tell you that from 2015 and on (both my bottle batches are of the 2015 year -which still is the 2012 formulation-) the bottom of the bottle is not frosted, it is exactly as that of the 2017 formulation.I do not know if that small change in bottles began in 2015 or even 2014, but I do know that 2012 and 2013 bottles have that frosted pattern bottom. Hope that helps! ;)

I have to add another heart-broken review to this but I just can't hold it anymore. As heard the news of reformulation/discontinuation, I couldn't be more devastated. Ok it's only a perfume, and I can certainly find a new love. And this happens all the time in the world of fragrances; scents come and go. But I just can't skip my feelings by just reasoning this. I'm utterly disappointed with Dior, and I can now understand many other people whom favorite it has discontinued (including the mythic Miss Dior Cherie). I saw these 2012 versions on discount but despite I was tempted to buy a back up, I let them there-- I have made my decision: won't buy anything from that house anymore (at least, for now). You may think I'm over-reacting, and maybe I am, but it's simply unfair. Miss Dior 2012 was a big love for me. Just like Janis screams in the song of the promotion film, I let Miss D. took pieces of my heart.. and now there is truly nothing left but ashes. I was mesmerized by her stunning charm. Nothing vulgar, nothing loud or excessive. What she was, chic. Elegant in terms of simplicity, subtlety and etherealness . I felt like catching a fairy; a dainty, adorable creature right before my hands. But it is, after all, an aromatic liquid in a glass bottle and nothing larger than life really. Not a fantasy creature. Perhaps this reasoning due to accept the fact that it's time to let go and move on. Just like Roxette sings: "It must have been love..but it's over now.."

It was a cold december night. She was waiting for him to say goodbye at the bus station before leaving (they lived in different cities), she had still about 1,5 hours left, so she entered in the "Douglas" just to pass the time. She was given a tiny sample of this scent. She didn't buy anything, she wanted to return to the station to see if he was there. Before that, she sprayed one spritz on her fur collar of the coat and forgot the sample in her pocket. He didn't come. No call, no sms. She was disappointed and sad. Tears under the stars. The buss arrived, she took her place, her eyes were wet but something hugged her warmly, comforting and inviting- this scent from her collar. She looked out of the buss window and there he was. He had come too late, the bus was about to leave. But he was there, he had come to wave her goodbye. She started to cry. She inhaled the scent and hugged him in her thoughts. She found the sample in her pocket and knew- she will get more than 1,2 ml. Memories, promises, elegance, love, tenderness and hope above all. It's beautiful modern chypre with some sweet berries and citruses. I would call it a bit woody too. Sparkling, enchanting and full of life. It will lift your spirit high even if you are so very sad. When I smell it, I go back to that night. Warm perfumed embrace. Love it!

Bibibling is correct about the batch numbers starting with the number that represents the year. However, it might be the case that some old version bottles were produced in 2017. The bottle of the new version I have has a batch code which, according to checkfresh.com, was produced in May 2017. It didn't hit shelves until September, but who knows how far in advance they were made. If nobody has a bottle of the new version which predates May 2017 then that could well be the cutoff date where the scent changed. Regarding the similarities to the EDT version: IMO, the 2012 juice smells much more like the EDT than the 2017 version does. The 2017 version has almost no detectable patch, and a boatload of vanilla. The 2012 version has a very noticeable patchouli opening, not too dissimilar from the EDT version currently on shelves. If you want to be sure, you can check the batch codes on the tester bottles. They should be printed on the back of the bottles, near the bottom right. The tester that I have says "Tester not for sale" followed immediately by the batch code. It's quite hard to see so you have to get the light to catch it just right.

This is how it all started for me. I used to use cheap body mists cause I just wanted to smell "nice and clean". Then, my mum gave me a 50ml of this beauty, and it became my first "proper" perfume and opened up a whole new world to me. When I found out this has been discontinued, I tried "similar" perfumes, and new versions of the Miss Dior, hoping they would be able to replace the 2012 masterpiece, but nothing can replace it. To me, it smells like sweet mandarin jam with earthy yet smooth patchouli, and slightly powdery, warm roses. It is well blended, pretty, feminine, elegant, and projects and lasts well. Though I do agree this is more of a lady than a miss, I dont mind it at all; this makes me feel like a glamorous hollywood starlet. 100/10, absolutely intoxicating, and I will cherish the leftover juice I still have, and curse whoever decided to discontinue this. So much better than the new Miss Diors formulations, which barely last and projects on me, and which also smell rather boring. And this is also better blended than Coco Mad, which pulled way too soapy and sharp on me.

My longest-running favorite perfume. I haven't dared to write a review for it until now for fear I couldn't articulate how and why I love it. It's what got me into perfumes a decade ago and even after trying hundreds of different frags since then, it hasn't been knocked off first place in my mind. Sure, maybe part of that is for nostalgia and positive scent associations. But every time I go back to Miss Dior 2012 it's like a breath of fresh air. It renews my faith in fragrances again whenever I have to take a month long break after overdoing it with new samples. It sets the perfect tone in my mind: sophistication, romance, warmth, simplicity yet complexity. I've been chasing this feeling the past decade by sampling so many different perfumes but to me it's unmatchable. I won't try to describe the actual scent because I won't do it justice. But it's perfect.

I bought Miss Dior Cherie when it first came out because I was enamored with the strawberry. I have had a mini of this newer version for a few years, and I finally decided to dab some on, and much to my surprise and enjoyment the strawberry note is still totally there! I can understand the comparisons to Coco Mademoiselle, but this Miss Dior is less sugary, more ambery, less citrusy. I would have described the original MDC as "fresh", but this version of Miss Dior is deeper and a bit darker, as if it were an intense flanker of the original. With the original MDC, I smelled the strawberry up-front. It was really centered around strawberry. With this newer EDP, I smell the patchouli and amber first, and notes of rose and strawberry very quickly join in. So the strawberry is not as strong up-front. I really love it, I think better than the original MDC.

I've been on a serious Miss Dior kick lately... Buying up different batches of several variations, each one related but different enough from the last. Knowing what you're getting takes some investigative work, but I feel like a pro now. 2012 Miss Dior is the easiest grab out of the ones I have (Cherie 2005,Cherie 2009, Absolutely Blooming, Le Parfum & this). In this iteration I have a batch from 2012 & one from 2014. Interestingly, I smell the same strawberry that's in MDC 2005 in the 2014 bottle but not in the 2012 one ( to add another layer of confusion). This one makes me feel pretty and polished. Yes, it's similar to Coco Mad EDT, but it's girlier without being foolishly juvenile. Smells like a Dior, of course, and so I prefer it to Coco Mad because I prefer the way Dior blends and their DNA over Chanel. Still, very similar though. Gorgeous.

This is where my love for Dior started I smelt this from a family friend who had visited our family for a week and when she left this perfume lingered in the room she was using for almost two weeks I had to buy it. This is different I have never smelt anything like this it’s so long lasting , leaves and leave a scent trail . Once again this gem was discontinues this and the Miss Dior EDT 2013 were my favourite Dior perfumes of all time Why does Dior discontinued loved scents it’s so annoying you may love a perfume and then you find it’s been discontinued. I still have an empty bottle of this scent from 2016 when I got it for myself. Miss Dior EDP 2012 and Miss Dior 2013 EDT ( signature scent) will always have a special place in my heart and if I were to keep two perfumes for the rest of my life it would be this one and the EDT version 2013

I'm almost thirty and it's been a while since I've been looking for my signature perfume. I smelled this in my sister's closet, my brother-in-law has bought her a gift pack of five testers of Dior and this bottle, the miniature version... i just couldn't stop myself from sniffing it. It is different than all the famous fragrances I've ever smelled. It sits on my skin like the memory of love, lingering in my thoughts... like a beautiful melody. I don't know why and mature woman won't like it. I think, I'd have liked someone better if i smelled this on them (before i knew this was it). I cannot get over how beautiful it makes me feel. It's sensuous, it's sexy, it's fragile and it smells sophistication. I'm almost sure this is something of like to wear even after twenty years.

An old favorite. Very sophisticated. This is the fragrance I wear to the opera, symphonic concerts, galas, and elegant dinners. It is very classic, perfect for when I'm ready to slip into the role of a high-society lady for the evening. It makes me makes me feel like I'm putting on a gown and jewels. I know the purpose of every niche fork, knife, and spoon on the table and I know the difference between Continental and American etiquette. I feel like Anastasia when she goes to the Paris ballet to meet her grandmother. A little princess. Daddy loves me and shows me off to his educated rich friends. I would not wear this as an everyday fragrance as I am not a preppy New England old-money blue blood who went to an Ivy League and wears a sweater around her neck. 10/10

This is pure class. But zero snobby, it's just effortlessly elegant. My first Miss Dior was a gift for my sister and I, around 2014/15 I guess. I loved it. Years passed and we got another one but it was different, the 2017 version. And that was great too but I missed this, even tho I don't know if I remembered it right, it was a long time ago! I got my hands on this again today, I bought a 150 and a 30ml to stock up. Definitely will get the other version soon. It's so crazy for me how your mind can miss a smell that you can't even remember but I think this is the statement of an era and that is what I wanted again. Update: I'll let the batch codes in case someone can use them as guide ;) 5W01 The 30ml bottle ended up being the 2017 version. Batch code is: 0B01

This one will always be my special favourite. After graduating and starting work I decided it was time to start searching a real perfume. And Miss Dior was love at first sniff! This perfume contains all the notes which I adore, it's crazy! It gives me confidence and makes me feel beautiful and professional. I didn't even know what kind of notes I liked, and this perfume was one of the first ones I tried at a store and yet I still compare other perfumes to Miss Dior like 'how yummy is this compared to Miss D..?' I'm so happy that I got literally the last bottle in town back in 2017. I will use it sparingly and save it for special occasions. I'm constantly searching for a replacement, so this one kind of got me into perfumes, thank you Miss Dior! :)

I have had this perfume for ages and I don't know why I've never written a review on it before now. This is fruity sweet patchouli with a musky undertone. Longevity is fantastic, you only need one spray for the day. This is like Coco Mademoiselle as stated above but I prefer this one on me due to its softer, deeper and muskier presence. There an underlying spice in there too. It's less loud and high pitched than CM. I love CM on other women but it just doesn't suit my skin as well as Miss Dior. Miss Dior goes quite deep on me and I like that, CM screeches too loud on my skin and is too persistent and linear. I'm sorry that Dior have decided to change Miss Dior again! You never know what you are buying, I don't get the thought process behind it?

I'm very confused, can someone explain to me why in some perfume stores the Miss Dior EDP's liquid in the bottle is pink and in other stores it is orange? Does that mean that the orange liquid is the 2012 version and the pink liquid is the new one (2017)? I own the miss dior EDP with the orange liquid since ocotber 2017 and i repurchased a new bottle (orange liquid) in august 2018 (it has the same smell, mandarine and patchouli, I don't smell any pepper or rose), so i'm wondering if those bottles I own are the 2012 version. And lastly, I went to Sephora a few months ago to smell the miss dior EDP with the pink liquid : it does smell similar, but I fell like it's less stronger and more sweet, so in the end I don't know...

I received a sample of this in my order from Sephora. To be honest, I had a preconceived notion that I wasn't going to like it all that much for some reason. To my surprise and delight, I loved it! It's soft, smooth, understated, warm, unique and sophisticated. Very beautiful indeed! I already have a bottle of the 2011 Miss Dior Cherie and haven't even tried it yet. From what I gather it's a little sweeter than this, having the additional note of strawberry. I'm not sure if I will like it any better than this one or not. Nonetheless, I would not hesitate to buy a full bottle of this. I find this version easily unisex and a man would have no trouble at all pulling it off. One of the best newer scents I've tried in awhile!

I received this lovely gem a few years ago from my husband as a Christmas gift. I don't think my nose was educated enough at the time to discern the notes I was smelling, that being said, it's very well blended. I get lovely patchouli, and a bright crisp borderline sharp citrus. I find it best it cold weather, it's as appropriate for daytime as it is for date night which makes it very versatile. It's classy, happy, sometimes sexy, and confident. There are definite similarities between this and Chanel Coco Mad, which I also love. Wear time is impressive. The new version is a very sad departure from a beautiful fragrance. If you're lucky enough to come across this discontinued gem, snatch it up!

Scentmojis: 🕊️🍊👠🎠 This is a masterpiece of a fragrance. It's magic. Hard to describe other than to say it smells to me like the quintessential perfume. Patchouli is the most prominent note, but as someone who often hates patchouli in fragrances, this is the nicest possible version of patchouli--to the point where I would never identify it as such unless I saw the notes. To some it might smell generic, but I prefer to think of it as classic and iconic. Softer and more pleasant than Coco Mademoiselle. I eyed this fragrance from afar for many years before trying it, hoping it lived up to the ambiance around it, and for once I was not disappointed. It's everything I hoped it would be.

This smells A LOT like Coco Mademoiselle. So much so that I thought, wait did I spray Coco Mademoiselle? The only difference I'd say is in the dry down. Where CM might be screechy, too sharp or almost unisex, this one trends strictly feminine and much softer. Its citrus note stays apparent throughout the entire dry down, and it smells like a creamy floral. I much prefer this to CM as it's sillage and longevity are better too. Lasted a good 48 hours on clothes and projected about 2 ft. Apply sparingly! I can see this working for the office while CM doesn't in my opinion, since this one is softer and a bit sweeter and less offensive. Very safe blind buy and the bottle is adorable.

I love Miss Dior 2012 so much that since it was reformulated to something TOTALLY different i can't find fragrance that i can call signature scent. Since early 2017 i have the luck to find only 3 overpriced 50 ml bottles but i bought them anyway, because that is how much i love Miss Dior 2012. It mixed perfectly with my chemistry and on me smells heavenly. I was so devastated and i send an email to Dior customer service to let them know what big of a mistake they make☺ 4 years later i feel embarrassed doing this but, why they change the only one fragrance i love.... i have huge collection now, but none of them can compare with my one and only love.💔

This was my signature scent. I got so many compliments wearing it during grad school, and friends could identify my scarf and jacket by the smell of it. I like the 2017 version but it just didn’t live up to 2012. I think the patchouli was just not strong enough. The newer versions I only tried once or twice, they are lacking the dirty components. Last year I found a 2012 bottle on eBay for an acceptable price and was really looking forward to wearing it daily again but I think I outgrew the scent. Either the bottle is too old or it just doesn’t feel as sexy and current anymore. Maybe it’s also because I’m 10 years older.

I am lucky to own the 2012 version. Surprisingly I can smell popcorn in here! No strawberry and not that much of a fun juicy scent which was 2005 masterpiece - but I am happy with 2012! How incredible is this perfume? Absolutely worth the hype and the price. It smells way more than its notes suggest. I have smelt so many perfumes with similar notes I have even had dupes of MD. No nothing beats this gorgeous. Alright the 2005 is the best of the best but 2012 comes pretty close. If you like an idea of popcorn and strawberries oh you would love this. I yet need to try the current Miss Dior.

François Demachy. This Perfumer is a genius! Hands down my favourite perfume ever. Mr Demachy, if you have any influence over the powers that be, please relaunch this as it was, retrieve your recipe from the safe at Dior. It's a masterpiece and should still be standing on its own merit for many years to come. There are many ways you could market this, perhaps a Renaissance offer, which would include Miss Dior 2017 with 2012. I know many of us would love this gesture, and would be repeat customers. ( Extraits, are well, out of most people's reach)

After the drydown, Miss Dior is: Sweet, warm, floral, welcoming. Soft. Miss Dior is an open door to a friendly, sincere hug from a friend. It's not flashy, it's not edgy, it's not sharp or bitter or challenging. It's a perfect scent for the office, an outing to a wine tasting in summer, and reading love sonnets. Youthful, lovely. She's a keeper for me, for days I don't want to shout out a super fresh scent like Light Blue, or wear the fruity, juicy Bright Crystal Absolu, or go adventuring with Lolita Lempicka, Olympea, or Coco Mademoiselle.

I think I'm IN LOVE. To me this scent is tenderness, just beautiful womanly tenderness in a bottle. It smells like a woman whose hug makes you feel such warmth around your heart like everything in the world is going to be fine :) you just never want her to leave I think it works for day and night (just not a wild party night kind of scent ;) and recommend it for early-mid twenties and up as I feel it is too sophisticated for a teenager So glad I could get my hands on one of the last 2012 bottles, really don't like the new 2017 version :(

I hated this perfume when it was first bought for me, around 2015 but when I hit my mid to late thirties I went back to it and the obsession began. There’s no doubt that the patchouli smacks you in the face but the citrusy floral spicy mixture makes this perfume intoxicating. A couple of sprays lasts a long time. The two reformulations are so different I’ll never understand why they didn’t make them additions, for this perfume to be not available to buy anymore is a crime. If anyone has this for sale, please let me know!

This is so elegant; a crisp, effervescence reminiscent of champagne. And the citrus and musk together is very clean, never acidic on my skin. I see the similarity to Coco Mademoiselle and while I agree with this comparison, I also see similarities to Chloe Nomade EDT. These two share a sparkling, clean, musky chypre quality, that is the backbone to their nuanced characteristics—Nomade EDT being far more fruity and MD 2017 encapsulating that beautiful floral heart of the rose and jasmine.

Miss Dior (2012) is my original signature scent, the first perfume I picked up and then didn't put down for several years. It's a bit richer and deeper than Miss Dior 2017 which is more citrusy and floral, but it's still sweet in a grown up way. While I do think that the 2017 is truly so versatile and can be worn day or night any time of year (so can the 2012 in a lot of ways), I just think the 2012's added richness better suits cooler evenings than hot days for example.

I absolutely LOVE this fragrance as a go-to classy, elegant daytime scent that works in almost any occasion. Pairs perfectly with a nice dress and heels. It is so feminine, so pretty, so unoffensive, so classy. Sweet, patchouli, floral, lovely. I think it's probably the classiest of the perfumes I own. I wear this when I want to smell put together and upper class, but still feminine and sweet. It's simply gorgeous and classy. I give this fragrance a 10/10.

Until you get a sample of this to test it, you'll never understand what the fuss is all about with this fragrance. Yes, there is patchouli, yes it is earthy, present and unapologetic in its projection and potency, but it is a necessary note in this fragrance. What endears me to this perfume is the sensual play of a quality jasmine note and rose accord. Rose, jasmine and patchouli come together in a way that is stunning. This is signature fragrance worthy.

This is a love and my daytime scent. Miss Dior (2012) during the day and if I go out at night I generally grab Dior Addict. The opening on this is so bright and strong my kids recoil. A short time later they tell me they love the perfume I have on now and not the one I sprayed 2 hours ago. HA! The dry down is magical on me. I bought a backup bottle but eventually it will be a memory. Why, Dior??? WHY??? Please don't mess with Addict.

It is a perfume more complex than the 5 ingredients listed here. I sense currant - or a berry of a sort - lovage or nettle, a fresh wood, maybe some balmy resin, pink pepper, some carnation .. It is nice. Not spectacular, as I would have expected from a Dior. But then... it's reformulated :/ Wearable year round and understated, can be used in office as well as at a funeral, it won't pop you out of the ordinary.

I recently bought a bottle that is a batch from 2016. I am head over heels! It's not listed as sweet, but I get a sweet orange and patch with a hint of rose. The 2017 version is as lovely, focusing on rose and pink pepper, although still clearly miss dior. I'm tired of seeing all the complaints about reformulation. Each new version is a bit different than it's predecessor, but they're all equally beautiful.

I can't describe this scent better than "bad b*tch". wearing this will raise your standards and let others know subconsciously that they need to come correct or stay home! confidence booster x99999 and basically you smell like a multi-million dollar net worth. you will realize you are the hottest girl on your campus/office/grocery store. I wish I just naturally smelled like this from not showering

Here's the thing: I remember Miss Dior Cherie. It had cotton candy, caramel popcorn, and strawberry I think. It was very sweet. I think that the new version of Miss Dior smells better. MDC was very synthetic, whereas this smells more authentic. Honestly, I think this is one of the best contemporary scents for women. It's sexy, a bit floral, a bit spicy, and earthy with the patchouli in it.

I'm so sad that this formula was discontinued. It is one of my favorite perfumes, if not my absolute favorite, and I'm about to empty my bottle of this.. I don't know what I'll do. It's so frustrating, especially since the newest one smells so bad to me. The new one smells like strong artificial chemicals, and it also smells older than the 2012 version. Wish it could be brought back.

Thank god I could find this version in my country though it was so difficult to get it. Miss Dior EDP 2012 is such a classy yet playful perfume, and it’s one of the best perfume I have. I can’t stand Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming and Miss Dior EDP 2017 and I just don’t understand why they need to discontinue this 2012 beautiful formula and produce something worse instead

As many already said it's very similar to Coco Mademoiselle. To me Coco is more complex - fruity and happy in the beginning and dirty and sexy in the dry down, it has a story. Miss Dior is more linear. It's a mature, toned and gentle version of Coco. Fresh and airy floral scent for any occasion. I had it for a few months and then somehow I got bored of it.

Miss Dior is as sophisticated as the bottle looks like... Spraying it on will instantly make you feel energized, happy and confident, and as subtle the scent might be at the beginning, when you move, feel the wind or just inhale deeply, you'll be able to smell this fragrance... It's like a reminder, and this one is very long lasting.

@Shanel is it possible you are referring to the newest (2017) formulation? That one is very floral, while the 2012 is not. I could not possibly love a scent more than I love this one. I am so sad it was d/c, but luckily I bought a 5 oz-er right before it went off the market, and I am going to buy another one off of e-bay!

This 2012 Dior was the illegitimate sister of Coco Mademoiselle, the rich princess. Same royal bloodline, less recognition. I much preferred the Dior - a beauty like Coco Mad, minus that snobby overrated Chanel dry down. Dior’s death was tragic. The new one that has replaced her is a commoner, and an imposter.

I finally got this 2012 version. I am so happy. This has similarities with Chanel Coco Madmoiselle but I don ́t like that one. The vainilla ruins it for me. I have to recognise that Chanel smells more refined but i find it heavy and migraine inducing while this one is a lot "happier" and mood lifting.

Oh I love this version of Miss Dior. Was disappointed when they reformulated it. It’s similar with Coco Mademoiselle but it’s just different. Different character, more cheerful I could say. I prefer Miss Dior than Coco Mademoiselle. I wear both anyway. They reformulation ones were totally different.

Reminds me of Belle from Beauty and the Beast. I don't know why! But I think she would wear this in her iconic yellow dress. Update: I just bought a second bottle to prolong our time together. Hopefully there's still enough of this in circulation to keep us all happy for at least a few more years.
