Miss Dior Cherie L'Eau

What is it with all these lovely "green" scents getting discontinued?! Vetiver Pour Elle by Guerlain, Tendre Poison and Miss Dior Cherie L'eau by Dior... Such a shame!! Oh well.. Thanks to this virus pandemic, I've been stuck at home for the past couple of weeks now, and with all the stress and uncertainty following the situation I haven't really felt like doing much. I mean, I've been tidying and cleaning my house more than ever and I have been washing my hands like a crazy person, but I've really neglected pampering myself... So today I finally decided that enough is enough! I took a long, relaxing bath which was DIVINE to say the least! As soon as I had put some clothes on I spritzed Miss Dior Cherie L'eau all over, and I realized how much I've been neglecting this scent as well! I have had my bottle since around 2010, and since I haven't used it in at least a couple of years, I was really anxious it might have "turned" but it hadn't, thank goodness! It still smells exactly the same. I used La Tulipe bath and shower gel from Byredo in the shower, and the green, floral scent of that mixed with the fresh, citrusy notes of Miss Dior Cherie L'eau was an absolutely divine combination! A match made in heaven for sure, and it made for a much needed serence and peaceful moment. So far this is my favorite from the Miss Dior line, together with the original Miss Dior in parfum concentration. Blooming Boquet is ok, but even that one doesn't feel as smooth and refreshing as this does. I have yet to try the new Rose N'Roses version but my expectations aren't exactly high... The other Miss Diors in EDP, EDT and Absolutely Blooming are all "fine" for what they are, they just aren't my style. I also feel like the sweet, fruity chypre category they fall under has been done to death! What sets Miss Dior Cherie L'eau apart from the rest is that it's a green, "fresh" take on the category, and I feel like this line really needed that. On top of that, I have to admit that I'm a sucker for anything green, so this bottle with the pale green liquid and the frosted bow, really appeals to me. But of course something that stands out from the rest won't last long on the market these days... (unless it's part of an extremely pricy and hard to find "exclusive" line that is)! To sum it up: Classy, refreshing, clean, bright, happy, carefree, timeless and just downright lovely!

Miss Dior Cherie L’eau is my first real love. This is the scent that brings me back to so many memories. I remember so vividly, the day I got it, on my last trip to the US back in 2010, my mother and I were testing out some fragrances in Nordstrom. I remember sniffing some Vera Wang, Chanel and finally Dior. I sprayed Miss Dior Cherie on my wrist and Miss Cherie L’eau on the other. And ohhh it was LOVE at first whiff!! Additional points to the gorgeous bottle! Though I liked MDC, this flanker smelled like no other!! It was fresh, young, elegant and sophisticated. My mother also loved it, her being a fan of citrusy scents and Dior. She got it for me and it was the start of a special bond between me and MDC L’eau — milestones and memories with this love of mine. Attending post graduate school, to wearing it on dates, and holding hands and cuddles and first kisses to falling in love for the first time. I wore it over the years and would have other fragrances but would always come back for it most especially when I want to feel pretty or happy or when I need to feel confident or during any memorable event. It is that special “secret sauce”. I love love love the clean, fresh burst of citrus from the bitter orange it brings. It is the epitome of a good spring or summer day when everything it going your way. I also smell the gardenia and the dry down musk is absolutely gorgeous. One spray is enough to last me around 4 hours. It only contains 3 notes, simple like how its supposed to be. Miss Dior Cherie L’eau is a sweet, charming and innocent fragrance of magical beauty. It’s a happy and smiling scent which will surely brighten up your whole day. Dior should have never discontinued this citrusy gem! Like they say, you’ll never forget your first love, and this one is mine.

Oh my dear Cherie L'eau. It should have been my signature scent if Dior haven't broken my heart and discontinued that beauty. Just three ingredients on the composition and it is still the scent of perfection for me. Cherie L'eau smells so like me that it felt like the scent was coming from inside my skin instead of from the top of it. The bitter orange and the gardenia are in perfect harmony on the openning. On the dry down I get the creamy scent from the still gorgeous gardenia along with white musk (but the bitter orange is still there, behind, making it still fresh). It's so sofisticated and simple at the same time. Very fresh and confy. Light and sensually spontaneous. I have no idea why Dior discontinued that perfection in a bottle. Really, I will never understand that. O meu querido Cherie L'eau. Era pra ter sido meu perfume assinatura, mas a Dior partiu o meu coração e descontinuou essa lindeza. Só três ingredientes na composição e ainda assim perfeito na minha opinião. Era tão perfeito pra minha pele e cheiro naturais, que a impressão que dava era que o perfume vinha de dentro da minha pele. A laranja e a gardênia estão em perfeita harmonia na abertura. No fundo eu tenho a cremosidade da gardênia com o musk branco (mas o amarguinho da laranja ainda está lá nos bastidores trazendo a refrescância. É tão sofisticado e simples ao mesmo tempo. Muito fresco e confortável. Suave e espontaneamente sensual. Eu não faço a menor idéia do porque a Dior descontinuou essa perfeição engarrafada. Nunca vou entender.

I found Miss Dior Cherie L`Eau absolutely stunning in the beginning, both citruslemonish sparkling, floral and refreshing. It's clean and green with a lot of orange blossom in the topnote. A while later I scent the gardenia, and it shows up almost right away without beeing dominant.... I can also smell a bit of cardamom. Miss Dior L'eau has an incredibly balanced medley of citrus and gardenia notes. Refreshing, classy, even elegant. It's about the most cleanest perfumes in my collection, this one and Armani Code Summer 2011.... they are accually pretty similar.... they are both absolutely delicious....during spring as well as in hot summer! Miss Dior Cherie L`Eau is such a gardencitruslike scent without smelling too much. It is amazing and I am in love!!!! Miss Dior Cherie L `Eau är helt fantastisk i början, både citruslemonaktig mousserande, blommig och uppfriskande. Den är ren och grön med massa apelsinblom som toppnot. En stund senare känner jag doft av gardenia och det dyker upp nästan direkt, utan att dominera .... Jag kan också känna spår av lite kardemumma. Miss Dior L'eau har har en otroligt balanserad medley av citrus och gardenianoter. Uppfriskande, flott och elegant. Detta är den mest rena parfymer i min samling, denna och Armani Code Summer 2011.... de är faktiskt ganska lika .... de är båda helt utsökt .... under våren men även under en varm sommardag! Miss Dior Cherie L 'eau är en fantastisk gardeniacitrusliknande doft, utan att vara skarp. Sååååå fantastisk, jag älskar den!!

I was completely blown away by this bitter sweet fruity opening. It reminded me of the smell of freshly picked almonds and green leafs from my childhood.It has just the right balance between flower and fruit,indescribably pure and joyful but somehow elegant. A part from gardenia, maybe they've mixed in some magnolia or tuberose (the milky feeling in the middle notes)to give it more body, along with the cotton-like feeling of the musk. Overall a soft and crisp white floral that has the potential to become suffocating if you bathe yourself in it. I don't get it why some call it "watery": juicy - yes, watery - not at all IMO. The staying power wasn't as impressive as I expected (5 hours) the first time I tried it, which makes me think it's largely overpriced for an EDT. Even though I'm in love with this scent and wish I could have it right now... EDIT:When I first wore it it was cold outside.Cherie l'eau just needs some heat to deploy its scent. 3-4 sprays in the morning and it wraps me until nightime. A compliment getter and a resident in my collection. There is something very simple and elegant going on here that can be detected after some time wearing it. This EDT reminded me of the comfy, lush and thick feeling of Guerlain's Champs-Elysees,but subdued and minus the peach. Similar fragrances: O de l'orangerie by Lancome comes very close

I sampled Eau Fraiche today. According to Christan Dior official website ''Created by François Demachy, Miss Dior Eau Fraîche is a chic veil of freshness with a chypre signature underscored by the addition of Indonesian Patchouli. A delicate blend of Calabrian Bergamot and vibrant Gardenia highlighted by fresh and luminous Indonesian Patchouli, Miss Dior Eau Fraiche is a sunny, springlike and eternally elegant scent.'' Sounds very appealing, I have to admit. But it's not L'eau. They smell similar at first (citrusy gardenia on me) and they remain close, but not identical till the dry down- because of the gardenia they have in common. But after a certain point they smell totally different (patchouli instead of musk here) Silage and longevity are approximately the same. Also the liquid now is light peach instead of green. What can I say, I really miss the clean cotton feeling of musk here. And I wore L'eau every spring/summer since it came out. Now I bought a large bottle as a backup and consider getting a second one. Well, thank you Dior for discontinuing my favorite spring perfume after only three years in the market! Sigh...

Oh my. Spring has just started here in Australia - and I don't think there could possibly be a better fragrance in my collection for this season than Cherie L'eau. As promised, this opens up with beautiful, fresh bitter oranges. What soon follows is the Gardenia - which tames the orange down with a lovely white floral sweetness, and almost what smells like a vanilla bean creaminess (I know it's not listed but I am *sure* I smell Lily in here too). The musk joins in and kind of just "powders" over everything to give it a clean, musky, delicately soapy feel. Cherie L'eau is the first of the Miss Dior range that has not only impressed me, it's making me fall more and more in love with it the more I smell my wrists! This isn't a Silage monster by any means - but it's noticed by others (in a good way)! This is femininely fresh, fun and sophisticated and longevity is around 6 hours on me which I am more than happy with as I love re-applying it! The bottle is too cute for words as well.

Rating: 😚😊 Do I like it: Yes Who it is: a minimalist overachiever that wears only light colours Smells I get: citrus, white florals Meyer's Briggs type: ISTJ, ISFJ A perfect clean scent. Like a cold shower with a citrus note, or washed bed linen with soft white florals in a vase next to the bed. Simple, delicate and lovely. I happen to have an old tiny 5ml bottle of it, and I plan on enjoying it while it lasts. It's a lovely, lightweight scent, that very much feels like soap. A basic perfume, stripped bare, if you will. To me, after work and commute, coming home to a shower and a hearthy meal, this was always the ideal scent to carry to bed while feeling clean and "purifying" myself from the day. It's longevity is poor, but since I use it as a bedtime scent to fall asleep to, I hardly find myself caring for that. It's inoffensive, light, and the embodiment of the "clean" girl aesthetic, and the bottle fits the trend perfectly. Shame it's discontinued, really.

Come spring and year after year I'm reminded how wonderful L'Eau is. Ever since it's been discontinued I've been sparing it just for spring. I have not been depriving myself a lot though, because unlike others here, I find it very long lasting, therefore I don't spray a lot. The projection is quite strong for the first couple of hours and gets more personal as the day progresses. The fresh green citrus opening, the powdery white middle and the subtly sweet fluffy base are just delectable. I'm a bit gutted that I actually hold a bottle that already belongs to the past, long before it's drained to the last drop. I suppose it will last for next spring as well. The only one from the Miss Dior line that I ever liked. In my opinion the current eau fraîche is just a patchouli-spoiled shadow of this one, so similar to other fruity-chyprés fumes that designers race to put out these days.Damn you, Dior, for letting this one go.

I always liked the way somebody smelled, i mean, like "still in shower" fresh and cold-breezy. I have a good collection of top notch fragrances from the greatest brands in the world, but still, I didnt get that type of perfume. And Miss Dior Cherie Leau is the one. The citrusy notes are dominating the scent while musk play a second fiddle. I couldnt detect gardenia in it. But this perfume has literally blown me away. Very fresh, clean green, amazing. Its sillage is monstrous, I mean if not used in moderation, you can hypnotize people around you. Eventhough I dont think this perfume out of the world, this one is unique, mysterious and really possess a magnetic aura that is unexplainable. I am sad that this regal fluid is no longer available. Why on earth, they discontinued it?? :( I am saving this perfume for special occasions, really a gem.

I loved Miss Dior Cherie L ́Eau right from the start. The original Miss Dior Cherie is way too sweet for my taste, but this version is something different. Smells of Summer; but not like the sea or beaches. It rather reminds me of summerholidays in the mountains, swimming in clear lakes and eating sweets between freshly washed bedclothes. The first whiff is quite strong and orangey but it gets softer and sweeter as it warms on the skin. It is sweet but not gourmand. The musk comes out pretty prominent and adds a clean and cuddly feeling to it. To me this is a classy but still cheeky perfume. Youthfull but not girly, especially suitable for careless summerdays and -nights. A fragrance with charakter but not offensive. For me a must have.

My god... this was my first real perfume and it really holds an important place in my heart. My grandpa gave it to me some years ago but it still smells heavenly; it has definitely aged well. I only wear it in special ocassions and it brings me so many good memories (my first love included). It's not only the emotional charge that makes me love it but, of course, the fragrance itself is divine. It is feminine, fresh, youthful and sophisticated all at once. I agree with most reviewers, the lasting power is not the best but it will endure a night out for sure. I just love this perfume, it's such a shame it got discontinued. I've been looking for something similar for years and I haven't found one as good as Miss Dior Chérie L'eau.

In my opinion Miss Cherie L'eau is the epitome of such positive, hopeful and youthful attitude that empowers anyone who decides to spray it on in the morning before leaving the house. When wearing this little masterpiece of a fragrance, you cannot be anything else but bright and exuberant and thinking "pastel thoughts". Dior has created a wonderful and adorable classic-in-the-making-kind of perfume that is really sparkling, easy to approach and irresistible with a teasing citrusy twist that suggests this scent (and its wearer) knows how to stand its ground despite of the girlish and playful front. It is both modern and timeless at the same time which is a sign of a true classic. Very well done, indeed!

Delicate, harmonious, tart fragrance with a slight bitters of the green orange & gorgeous volume gardenia against the moderate musk. An effortless, graceful, weightless and highly comfortable scent with an own unique charm. To me it smells like the Italian Adriatic riviera. This is a real fairy tale. The fragrance gives on me strength and as if sends on a journey to the coasts of the purest Adriatic sea where the ancient castles and medieval streets of the resort towns of Pesaro, Rimini, Riccione keep an inexpressible charming. I have the remainder in the perfume-bottle has long become cognac color, but the scent has not changed a bit.

Such a beautiful, feminine scent. Elegant and fresh it's spring in a bottle. While the longevity is good on my skin the silage is soft. This scent could have very easily gone wrong, many similar fragrances turn out to be sharp, almost clinical/detergent like but not this. It's simplicity is what makes it so charming, it's clean, powdery and youthful. Unfortunately my bottle is almost gone, I wish they would continue with this delightful scent.I have an extensive perfume collection and if anyone has this and wishes to swap I'd be more than happy to let you pore through them and pick something you'd like to exchange! Fingers crossed :P

This is very positive fragrance. Light, but not too much green, kind of classic, but also modern at the same time, which makes it elegant and ladylike. It is still very fresh, ideal for spring and summer. It always brings smile on my face, reminding me of pure smells of childhood. It lasts long, and you can't feel sick of it, since it is gentle and pleasant. My experience says it is very appealing for men too, despite it's feminine but non-agressive sexy appearance. I would definitely recommend it for a day, or moments when you want to feel like an elegant and stylish girl, who enjoys the life and attracts real gentlemen.

You know what? I love this fragrance. I really love this fragrance. It's soft, fresh, smooth and very pretty. I can't decide whether I could pull this one off or if this should be confined to a woman's skin. I love it, but I just don't know if we belong together. UPDATE: I had a discussion with my girlfriend about it. It's too "light" for her. I don't think she really gave it time to develop but I'm not complaining. I agree with guest_SierraBear in that this is reminiscent of the leis of Hawaii. For that reason alone, I don't care how feminine this is perceived to be. I'll be making this purchase very soon.

To the reviewer below me, Heliotrope72. I have been looking for a good word to describe it, but you nailed it! Melancholy (a bittersweet one). But for me, everyone around me notices it when I wear it! They say it does not smell like a perfume (!) I don't know if that's bad or good, but I take it it's good, as what they are probably thinking of when they say that is the heavy scents.They just say it smells of something fresh and gentle. This was my signature for years! I will always love it, and it will always have a special place in my heart! (And I will always have a bottle of it for the rest of my life).

My first real perfume! I was like 13, and I saw the commercial of this perfume on TV which screamed Paris and Brigitte Bardot. And at that time I was a huge fan of Paris, France so I wanted it! I went to smell it in the store and fell in love with it. My dad bought it to me. Oh I was so happy! The same year I went to Paris for the first time. I ended the perfume in 2015. And I still miss it. I see people selling them on second hand websites for 15€, but I'm not sure if it would still smell the same :( so I haven't bought one. But should i?

In my opinion this is the best scent out of the Miss Dior line. And also the most unique one. Personally I smell very few similarities to the original Miss Dior Chérie perfume. Miss Dior Chérie L'eau is very light and not offensive at all. But it is a very unique scent in itself and, though light and fresh, still noticable. It's a very "young" and innocent fragrance and I get lots of compliments each time I wear it. Why would Dior discontinue such an amazing scent..? My favourite perfume out of all the ones I own. Simply amazing <3
