Musc Elixir Precieux

I came here to leave a review but realized there's no need for me to say anything because it's all been said by the reviewers below and I AGREE WITH ALL OF THEM (this never happens)! Any reputable Arabian oil vendor will sell you better oils for a fraction of the $$$ Dior's asking. Oh and about the $$$ - the reviews below mention that in 2019 Dior was selling 10ml for $300, now in 2024 the price is $650! Have you all seen your incomes double since 2019? No? Weird!

Did Demachy manage to enfleurage an angel and distill its essence? Or capture a few of its feathers to extract some sort of celestial costus oil? Does this even include good ole’ nitro musk? How else can they defend the 300$ for musk oil? Dior is turning a bit of a snake musk oil salesman, more like.

Very disappointed by this, i bought it without trying a sample because they didn't have any, and i was expecting something like "Misk El Jesim" (Body Musk) by Abdul Samad Al Qurashi, but something with a higher quality but i was wrong, it's very light and disappointing lasts for two hours at best.

Today I have sold all four Elixirs and they will not be missed! I am rarely one to mention price point as I appreciate that what we attach to the meaning of value is highly subjective. However, this series is ludicrously overpriced and does not deliver cratsmanship, soul nor quality - and therefore any reason to be objects of desire. They are megalomaniac and loveless concoctions to tick boxes in the high-end sector. Unless one wants to take fancy pictures for Instagram. In the case of Musc we have a cloying, synthetic super clean product that feels not only so artificial and sterile; worse, it gives a feeling of almost physical sickness to my nose. I have not smelled a worse musk attar in all honesty. Furthermore Dior's layering suggestions are almost ludicrous as these oils overpower any of their recommended partner sprays. Do yourself a favour and dodge the bullets that are Elixirs Precieux and buy 1/4 tola of a deer musk or any other musc you fancy - for 10-20pc of the cost here. You almost certainly get a more authentic product and it saves you both from being disappointed, and from overspending.

sometimes when i read comment about white musk/musk, ambergris etc..people start to become sensitive...i do not dare to jump on conclusion..lately, a number people in ebay talked about musk grain being drop by the deer and collected used in perfumery..most of them are aware that sustainability is important..similar to ambergris..they waited by the shore for the ambergris to float and dried up etc..sustainability is important..thus no one knows how it is obtained..but bear in mind sustainability is important, thus killing animals may not be prudent for them...it is like drinking milk and eating eggs..do not jump the gun without studying..

Dior spoutings absolute nonsens again about their perfumes. Now is how the communication works at Dior. Miss Dior (chérie), a perfume of 2005, is now (since 2012), a fragrance created by Mr. Dior (1905-1957!) Himself. Dior Homme is now also a perfume created by Demachy. Now these pseudo natural materials "Hand picked by the perfumer himself" ! Exept if Demachy put his hand in the ass of a protected deer the white musk is a pure chemical creation. Their sense of ethics is inversely proportional to their sense of profit.

Wow! These Dior Exilir's have certainly sparked debate. I'm not going to get into it though. Synthetic or not the musk in this fragrance is horrendous! Choking strong and just plain funky! Might just be my taste but the only ones I really liked in this collection were the Oud and at a push the Rose. Whatever is going on here it's odd.

Just to think that Dior would charge $300 for an amount of oil that wouldn't fill 2 sample decants from Sephora is disgusting...and for a synthetic Musc...That's just disrespectful...lol...some one should walk behind Demachy with a bell and scream "shame, shame, shame"...Ring a ding ding...

Smells like every other $5 musk oil but for some reason because of packaging this is supposed to be worth 100x more.don't make me laugh with this bullshit. Idk if it’s worse that Dior thinks people are stupid enough to buy this or the fact that people actually are stupid enough to buy this

nothing funky or animalic to my nose here. PURE and ORIGINAL white musk... =) if you want to get some funk test out MISK GHAZAL by AJMAL =)
