Tendre Poison

Tendre Poison by Christian Dior is now a new favorite of mine and I have to say, I've never smelt a perfume anything like it before! It's a very bright and uplifting scent and I don't find it too strong or too weak in intensity of smell. The bergamot and mandarin orange tickle my nose at the beginning with a hint of spice, ( must be the asafoetida) but it isn't incredibly citrusy to me. I get a hint of woodiness from the rosewood as well, but it's also not super strong here. All of these notes just keep the beginning as well as the rest of this perfume lovely and fresh and unique. The heart notes are then all about the tuberose, orange blossom and freesia, with a dash of sweet honey. It's a white floral perfume, but done in a very green and natural smelling way that's also equal parts alluring and mysterious. I'm not smelling the rose here, though. I'd say that the notes most prominent to me are the orange blossom and then the freesia, which is thankfully not a dirty smelling freesia as some freesias can be. In the base notes I can smell the musk, the heliotrope and a bit of the sandalwood but I can't smell any of the vanilla. All of this grounds this perfume and makes it fairly musky, like a green and white floral musky haze over the skin. I'd say that the vanilla probably adds some sweetness to this fragrance though. Sillage was fairly big at about 6 feet from my skin and people could detect it but weren't overwhelmed by it. I was receiving compliments all day about how beautiful my perfume was! The longevity of this fragrance was also impressive, lasting 8 and a half hours on my skin. This is not one you'd have to re-apply during the day at work at all! You would for going out during the evening, though. This perfume was incredibly hypnotic and made me think of green fairies frolicking around and dancing on flowers and trees in a beautiful forest in the moonlight. Tatiana queen of the fairies would be wearing this during a ball, her scent emanating like a beautiful wild flower, her golden curls blowing in the wind and the undulating and diaphanous peridot green chiffon of her dress brushing against the floor as she glides across the dance floor. Indeed, a perfume for the inner fairy queen in all of us! So sad that Christian Dior discontinued this. I'm definitely going to buy a full bottle of this after having just tried my beautiful and cute 5ml green apple bottle. 10/10 from me. (Edit: I now have this perfume and I'm thrilled! It is even better now that I can spray it on myself properly. I have the 100 ml bottle and it is GORGEOUS!)

Tendre poison killing me softy..... Soft, Clean, Soapy, Citrus, floral, green, hazy, misty, herbal, sweet honey, musky, woody, heavenly WOW who on earth would discontinue this heavenly fragrance? I’m a huge poison fan been in love with the original ever since I was little. Way back i remember seeing a green bottle of poison at the fragrance counter and was too young to go up to test it myself, my mom would wear Poison when it first released, so pointed her the green poison bottle but she didn’t seem interested in a flanker and had stopped wearing poison for years, this was around the late 90s, early 2000s, fast forward to now 20 something yrs later, finally discovered the name is Tendre Poison!! I was able to finally try it on and wear it! Oh boy I was dazed in trance of soft sensual, alluring cloud of beauty!!! I never had a chance to try tendre poison as a kid, I did try the other flankers, but non of them impressed me unfortunately Im not fan of any others flankers I’ve always been a loyal fan of the original poison, whether it be vintage, current formulations, and concentrations I love them all! Trying tender poison recently i can finally say that I love this flanker But sadly it’s discontinued, it’s the closest to the original with a fresher softer, misty, hazy, greener twist. •Top I feel and smell the soft citrus, Aromatic floral bergamot, i also get a juicy sweet mandarin •Middle comes the yummy tuberose, I get hints of powdery notes, i don’t see jasmine listed but I also get a touch of jasmine, a greener jasmine with a hint of skankyness ever so little, I smell the freesia, a nice bright juicy freesia, I dectect the honey a pure white floral honey, •Dry down, I smell clouds of musks soft a delicate nothing screechy, I also detect the sandalwood, not smoky but a cool soft cold sandalwood, Heaven!! For a fragrance from the 90’s, it smells so modern and timeless, definitely a compliment getter, my younger teenage cousins guys and girls complemented and ask what I was wearing, can be unisex, What an amazing fragrance, I have one bottle and will spritz this on special occasions. Is there a petition we can sign to demand Dior to bring back this gorgeous fragrance please? Why are things from before so much better? They just don’t make them like they use to anymore

Tendre poison is absolute Perfection!! I Loathe floral perfumes, especially any type of white florals as they usually go through a pee stage with my personal skin chemistry. This is the ONLY floral perfume i have found to not smell of old lady. Im shocked as it leans heavy on them. I strangely pick up a Jasmine note that is not listed. My mums house has a tea terrace that is completely covered in climbing Jasmine that gets really strong and sweet in the evening if we're sitting out. Tendre poison makes me think of those fragrant breezy summer evenings Even though the florals are the standout it smells creamy, green and mysterious all at the same time. Its quite complex as it's fun and playful but also femine and dark. I purchased a vintage bottle because i decided to buy all of the Poison collection. Just opening the box i immediately got 1990s/2000s classic old smell that usually smells concentrated almost granny like... i rolled my eyes and thought thank goodness i got a small one. After applying it behind my ears, in my arm joints and my wrist with the stopper I got classic era perfume, until it warmed. I couldn't help myself keep going in for more. It warmed into a creamy jasmine smell but it has a dark mysterious touch that i can't describe... it's almost Evil! It smells like evil green tainted Jasmine bouquet. I LOVE IT!! I'm truly OBSESSED!! TP makes me feel femenine but seductive in the worst way LOL... like when ursula arrives in the darkness on the beach with the locket in the fog. Thats how it smells like a seductive beautiful woman that has bad intentions upon closer sniff... anywho!! Im so sad its like 250 to 380 euros a bottle becauase i would totally wear this often as its unique and different to the modern day florals. I wouldnt say its heavy. But i wouldn't say its light either!. It's oily and creamy! Very senuelle. I read a few comments about how Cabotine is very similar, i purchased one of those too but to me Cabotine is missing the Magic, the Elusive element that Tendre has. Just to be clear i usually despise anything blatantly Flowers so this is a ln absolute gem to me!

My inner demons are always in fighting mode. One part of me is drawn to new and fashionable perfumes, while another insists on old, trusted, and cozy options. This time, as you may have noticed, the old-fashioned demons won. I prepared carefully for the purchase and decided to try a sample from the 2007–2008 collection. I could have chosen fragrances from the 90s, which are more common, but frankly, not many «living» specimens from that era have reached me. In the future, of course, I would like to compare them with earlier versions, but without unnecessary regrets about the money spent on it :) My first encounter with the fragrance wasn't very impressive. It reminded me of good soap from the 90s: lilies of the valley, greenery, and floral freshness. There were echoes of Eden by Cacharel, but this fragrance was more refined and softer, which justified its name. By the end of the second millilitre, I had fallen in love with it and purchased a bottle, giving it to myself for February 14th. In the bottle, the fragrance seemed even more appealing: during parallel testing, I noticed that some notes in the sample were damaged, but if it weren't for the original, I wouldn't have understood that. My liquid turned out to be clear, while another girl's was dark yellow. But these are minor details, not so important. I won't call this fragrance retro or anything similar — it's musk, white flowers, delicate honey, and the delightful gentle trail I've been looking for in modern Chanel perfumes. As the salesperson rightly noted, if you apply the fragrance to clothing or a shawl, its «sound» becomes even more charming. The only thing that saddens me is that I didn't know about it in the 90s and 2000s. Every time I apply it, I think about that. :) In general, each of the Poisons is unique — and I think everyone will agree with me on this :) UPD — It's identical to the modern version of Poison. I don't remember the old one.

Dior needs to get their act together and bring this incredibly unique fragrance back ASAP! It's such a singular and stunning perfume, and it has the most beautiful bottle of all the poisons!! I may be biased since green is my favourite color, but still.. The shape and curves of the original, more oblong bottle together with the clear glass stopper and that stunning shade of green.. Sigh, it's just so marvelous! It's so stunning, it kinda makes the other flankers look cheap in comparison... Can't they AT LEAST bring it back as a limited edition for let's say, Christmas?! It probably wouldn't work with all these new regulations anyway though, double sigh... I'm probably gonna fail miserably if I try to describe how this scent actually smells like. All I know is that it's beautiful, and it simply smells like a different era all together to me. It's quite shocking to see that it was released as late as 1994, and it's kinda ironic how this one smells a lot more "dated" (seen as positive this time)! compared to the original Poison. When I think of the 90's I think of fresh, unisex scents like ck One, and sweet gourmands like Angel, Hypnotic Poison and Dolce Vita, but NOT Tendre Poison. If I were to place this one under a decade, it could be anywhere as long as it's earlier than the 80's. Probably somewhere between the 40's to the 60's would be most accurate. I don't know what it is that makes me think this way, I just do, and it's amazing! It seriously lasts for ages as well! I really have a hard time understanding how this could not sell enough and therefore get discontinued though.. I'm guessing a combination of bad reformulations/regulations + Hypnotic Poison and Pure Poison becoming more popular was the biggest contributing factors. As well as the fact that it was probably released at the wrong time. Maybe one day it will be back, maybe..

Yes ! Perfume gods lol : I just scored a rare 50 ml of the second edition, so round emerald green bottle. I’ve wanted to smell this for years ,so nice to put a scent to the name ! Well how refreshing a start ,stunning bright orange blossom citrus, yellow and white flowers and a musky and woody honey sweetness. There a lot of the original poison notes , Yet so different too, so beautiful yet strange and Captivating , green cool and complex. woody Musk , woods, white florals and Drizzling honey over a green soapy Base , the soapy base is like a soft vanilla soap rather than ivory soap. Poison tendre borders on magically strange and edgy for a green floral ! You really need to smell this whilst watching the you tube advert. It’s the one with butterflies and a model and dazzling colours. In the advert monarch butterfly symbolism is everywhere with the temptress one eyed model flashing fast paced hypnotic Dark occult imagery ,beautiful monarch butterfly’s are central. It’s a beautiful yet strange advert, filmed stunningly, and I can’t help but be compelled to watch it over and over whilst sniffing This ethereal fragrance at the same time ! Try it ! I kept thinking what’s that lovely yet different and appealing middle note ? It’s only heliotrope one of my favourite notes , if I’d known it was in this Our paths would have crossed a long time ago , it adds a nice powdery sweetness to the honey. This may not have wowed me like hypnotic poison But it’s still one i will keep as it’s strangely exquisite .. This will not be for everyone but if you like original poison and green fragrances , this tender Version is enchanting & a touch other-worldly . 🌿🌿🍇🌸🌷🌺🌿🦋

This sells for ridiculous amounts of money on eBay. When visiting an antique market this afternoon I could not believe my eyes when I saw a 95% full 100ml EDT tester. The Guy who sold it had a little cabinet mainly with old perfumes and a few testers but that was obviously not his speciality considering the little price he wanted for it. No way I could refuse! Now I've been sitting at home with just one spray on a piece of paper. I have to say that I never smelled this perfume before today! My mother used to wear Poison but that's as far as it gets. The first word that springs to mind is indeed "Cabotine" and not "Poison". Now, there must be more to it. Some people say that Tendre Poison was Poison for a younger crowd. Could we also say that Tendre Poison might be Cabotine for a more mature crowd? A teenager could even get away wearing Cabotine but this one is maybe at least for a young lady in high heels. I don't have a clue if there is anything in common in terms of composition but I also get a floral, feel good, glamorous feel as I do from Paris YSL. I also agree on what some other people said: it's quite powerful. Now, what am I gonna do with this? I am not going to wear it of course but... it's simply gorgeous. When I was heading home I was already thinking about putting it on eBay but it's such a blessing to have this. Maybe I shall keep it and spray it on a pillow when I need some confort. Life is full of surprises...

I recently acquired this in the vintage oval bottle and am beside myself with joy. For some reason my skin chemistry amplifies the honey big time and close behind follows the tuberose. I have to wear it right though. I spray quite a lot and wait a good while to get past the cabotinesque opening ( that's where the similarity to cabotine stops. It goes in a completely different direction from there.) It smells completely different depending on where I spray it too. On the back of my hand all the honey goes away and I'm left with the asafoetida and sparse florals a la ma griffe ( not bad at all but I have to be in the right mood for that). On my forearm and neck it dries down superbly to a rich resinous honeyed tuberose that lasts and lasts. It's plush, feminine, complex and completely addictive. Never one to shy away from wearing a new scent in public, I wore this out at night and a young lady complimented me right away. Literally putting her nose right near my neck and saying "mmmm....! What is that scent you're wearing?! It smells so good on your skin!". Wow! I usually never get complimented so effusively. I admit it felt good. Oh and thank you to all the perfumistas who helped me authenticate my bottle. I didn't buy this online and it smelled amazing so I was pretty sure it was a good bottle but now I know for sure and can wear it with confidence!

It's been many years since I even smelled it and I was luckily able to get my hands on a bottle. On one hand it's definitely a nostagic experience, but the aspect of emotion makes up such a big part of our olfactory experiences after all. I have always liked it, but it was decidedly too grown up for me when my mother used to have it. It's not something that feels mature in the way that many Chanel fragrances do, but it's just bold and lively, you have to have the courage to wear it, because it's not a timid fragrance. I do feel that the sandalwood and rosewood both have gotten more prominent over time, and the freesia and orange blossom have softened. The opening is quite floral, but it dries down much creamier, without being overtly woody. The woods combine really well with the honey and tuberose, two notes that I generally don't enjoy in most fragrances because they easily become cloying, especially when together. The sandalwood is strongest in the middle of the development, but in the later stages the rosewood actually becomes dominant. To me rosewood has a distinct, almost bitter quality that makes it stand out from sandalwood. To my nose vanilla, heliotrope and musk stick close together in this. They're there, but in the background. Defnitely a fragrance worth revisiting if you can find it.

Tendre Poison is one of my top five of all time!! I wore it since its release. But come the early 2000s, I was living on my own in an expensive city and didn’t have the funds for pricey perfumes. If it wasn’t on the sale rack at TJ Maxx, I couldn’t afford it (although I did find some gems that way). Once I became more established, I decided to go purchase my old favorite only to find it’s been discontinued. I heard Cabotine was very similar so I tried it. Although it is similar and I really like that fragrance, it just missed the mark capturing that Dior magic. I then purchased the divian dupe. It’s closer in my opinion, but still didnt quite hit the mark. Tendre poison is just unmatched. Nothing can touch her! So, I had to hunt down a vintage bottle. It’s always a risk, there’s many fakes or you don’t know how it’s been stored, but I had to do it! I spent a ridiculous amount of money on her, cross checked batch codes but I finally have my baby home with me again! 💚💚💚 And she still smells incredible! I only use her on special occasions and I try not to think about the fact that one day, there will be no more vintage bottles left in the world to buy. Dior, please bring this back!!!

One of the first modern day flankers --Tendre Poisions creator set out to create a fresher, younger, day version of Poison. The Asafoetida brings the opening very sharp and grabs your attention. I remember trying it in 1994 launch and found the top notes extremely sharp. Either though age of the juice or a more educated nose, I think its extraordinary because of the way galbanum and bergamot is harnessed by the Rosewood, and the Mandarin with the freesia and tuberose seeping up to counter the green almost "soapy" smelling opening. Then the honey comes to the rescue and Tendre nods to her sister Poison. The honey, tuberose, spices, sandalwood done with a green style==fresher back in the day... and vanilla and heliotrope in the base. More feminine, day floral of the queen of the night Poison. It performs very well in the daytime heat. Make no mistake this green girl has lasting power, silage of her sister Poison. If Poison was the sexy evil queen incarnate, this is Lilith or the snake in the garden tempting Adam & Eve. Some say Cabotine is a close dupe.. I find its too floral and devoid of the key honey note that is the lynchpin that makes this work so well.

I forget what my initial thoughts of this were, but I know that I've loved it right from the get-go. I tend to spray the 3-4 times, which I'd consider overspraying for such a rarity... especially seeing as how I only have a miniature (7.5mL, I believe). Sometimes you just have to over do it. This is a strong fragrance, at first, but it does soften up significantly on dry down; the moment you want it to be most intense. That's where the beauty is. After the initial 'what the heck is this?' moments of Tendre Poison, it becomes a beautiful honey and sandalwood fragrance with small amounts of tuberose and freesia. I don't know what it is, but Dior does a freesia perfume good. Now, I remember thinking this fragrance was a 'green' fragrance. It may be the aesofetida in the top notes, which is what I'd usually think of as more 'food' like than green. The orange blossom gives it a nice citric floral twist, and I find that much more noticeable than the tuberose. If I could wear nothing else, I'd be more than happy. So long as its in the longer bottle, not in the one shown - the two formulations are very, very different.

Soapy Green Floral Earthy Oriental and a bit Woody . I can smell white flowers, citruses, galbanum , soap, acacia flowers, linden, grass, hay, rain, burned wood, musk. Always loved it very elegant, clean, crisp - like one of those Spring or Autumn days when it’s Sunny the sky is blue but the air is crisp and a bit chilly so you wrap in a warm soft cardigan and you feel the breeze on your skin then you meet the eyes of that special person and it’s like electricity but only in a sweet platonic way - fresh - yet warm - respectable but not common - it’s like an innocent woman fantasy - hiding behind a blushing face, a smile and the look of love. Unfortunately it’s unreachable for me as on my skin become an incredible sharp bomb -completely different from what I smelled for years on other women . Love it but I can’t have it - that’s why I never bought it for me ( quite expensive ) but used it every once in a while from my Mum or friends bottle - always hope that the dry down magically change but my skin and this juice doesn’t love each other -

I first smelled it from an almost empty bottle back in highschool. Only few drops were left inside and it felt intoxicating. I closed my eyes and instantly was like hypnotised. I wished for it then. Highschool was over and so I forgot about this poison. That was 16 years ago. Today I bought it, I was lucky enough to find it in a store which sells rare cosmetics. An other perfume made me think of this fragrance even though it has no similarity. I had huge expectactions while opening this perfume, but all I smelled before taking a spritz was vinegar. That didn't stop me to try it on my skin and that was a good decision, because after an hour I couldn't stop sniffing myself, it was THAT good! I finally have the pleasure to enjoy it whenever I want and I definitely will:) Update: I have the need to wear this tendre poison every day now! It is really a special scent and I understand why it's still being worshiped by so many people. A good thing that it became rare. The feeling that it gives me, really can't compare to any other..

Vintage Tendre Poison: Far, far from being tender this green, soapy tuberose with mentholated aspects, sharp galbanum and animalic musk + that strange asafoetida, is, if anything, a skankylicious powerhouse. If anything it is the same vein as the original Agent Provocatuer and has the same type of dusty, peculiar rose. I wear this VERY rarely (also because I have the original and only less than half a bottle left) because it DOES make me long for something easier quite quickly. It ́s beyond stylish, if by stylish one thinks of different and standing out. To me it ́s way more complicated than its predecessor Poison. It ́s colder, YET dirtier and that is quite and achievement. I feel some kinship also to my beloved Armani original- not so much in exact smell as in daringness. But Tendre Poison never gets warm on my body, which Armani and Agent Prov do. I find Tendre Poison to be very fascinating and beautiful, and I love it for what it is. But it ́s bit too brightly daring, so to speak. Very well done of the perfumer.

I never knew how lucky I was to have a vintage bottle of this sitting around. My mom gifted me hers which she bought new, the oval 50ml spray bottle. I've always had her, and her sister the OG Poison, on display but today I decided to spray them for the first time in years. It might be hard to believe, but they're not dated, just GOOD classic perfume. Delicious, layered, rich. The original Poison literally singes in your nostrils on the initial spray! But while Tendre still has that rich, spicy base quality, it's much tamer and prettier as a whole. I'm so tempted to wear them out on a date night which would require a good amount of sprays...what an indulgent idea. I had no idea I was sitting on a gem but my 90s bottle of Tendre Poison is priceless to me <3 Never to be sold. Edit: I take back what I said about a "considerable amount of sprays". The majority of modern perfumes can be oversprayed with abandon...and here I am nearly overwhelmed with 1 spray of Poison on each wrist. These are the real deal.

Back in 1994 I was a young lady that admired Poison from distance but was too young and too afraid to wear it and fell instead for Tendre Poison, more suited to my age. It has nothing to share with its predecessor Poison even if its named as a flanker. They are in fact totally different fragrances. Tendre Poison is indeed very similar to Cabotine (luckily for our wallets). Both youthful, sparkling spring/summer fragrances with lots of white flowers, tuberose & jasmine with a hint of citrus, fragrances for a young lady that wants to give a carefree, joyful but classy image of herself. Tendre Poison is (was) a little more vibrant than Cabotine, this being more "creamier" and with a higher staying power. Tendre Poison was clearly a perfume of the 90's, but so well done, pretty with a personality (*and what a bottle) that manages to be very modern and way, way better than the current "girlie" fragrances offerings. I don't get why did they have to discontinue it.

I have tested all the Poison flankers and personally wish that Tendre Poison would be relaunched. This green streaked tuberose has always better deserved the femme fatale reputation possessed by buttery tuberoses like Fracas to me. It's sinuous subtlety draws you in, clean with the crisp white shirt of orange blossom, but with animalic skin hiding beneath, per the tuberose, musk and honey. Tendre isn't as big as Poison or it's other flankers, but holds it's own among them. While I appreciate that Pure Poison might stand in the way of Tendre making a comeback, I think that the spiced woods and creamy softness of Pure Poison don't really compare to the clear venom of Tendre, in that one doesn't replace the other. There is also a slight fruity component to Tendre as well that Pure Poison doesn't have, that makes me think of poisoned faerie fruit. With green fragrances growing in popularity, maybe Tendre can find it's time once more.

Oh how I miss this!! This is one of those perfumes that changes based on your skin chemistry. The bergamot and musk just melt into your skin. Men and women both lean in a bit closer and take an extra long sniff, "oh, you smell really nice". But, let's be honest, we really wear these perfumes for ourselves, and how it makes us feel. this one brings back memories and cozy, snuggly sweater whiffs of bergamot, heliotrope, vanilla, and musk done right. I am very picky with musk, but it makes this Poison Tendre feel creamy. Edit: I forgot to mention, I bought Cabotine de Gres years ago as many had mentioned it smelled similar to Poison Tendre. It is similar in that your chemistry changes the scent after hours and it has many of the same notes. I have purchased many "dupes" of other perfumes, but Cabotine does not compare to this. Although Cabotine is NOT a dupe a beautiful in it's own right.

Tendre Poison is one of the first perfumes I fell in love with as a 20-something 20-odd years ago. When I found out it was being discontinued, I bought 2 backup 100ml bottles - one apple-shaped, one flat oval. Oddly enough, I cannot pick out the individual notes in this masterpiece. The scent as a whole brings to mind walking through a dark, mysterious forest with flowers and trees dappled by occasional sunlight. The overall effect is one of the most unique, sexiest and hypnotic scents I’ve ever worn. It never failed to get compliments from boyfriends, and now my husband. And I always feel quietly confident, timeless and gorgeous when wearing Tendre Poison. Tendre Poison would be my signature scent but for it being discontinued. So I only use it for special occasions, treasuring it like the treasure it is, but fully intending on using all of my supply before my time is up.

I don't understand why with all the Poison flamkers, they chose to discontinue this gem. My first encounter with this was back in college. Now, keep in mind, this was 1992, and the internet and days of online discounters was not yet up and running. I smelled this at the mall and so desperately wanted to own a bottle. I remember hocking my jewlery (yes, I did that) just so I could collect 75 dollars to buy the largest bottle of it. Yes, Cabotine is a near dupe. Plus, it is crazy, silly, affordable nearly everywhere. But.....there is something about Tendre Poison that I know I would buy another bottle to this day, should it return. Unfortunately, I don't trust the ones I see on eBay, there are far too many of them going around "new and in the box" that I hesitate to believe they are genuine by now.

I classify this fragrance one that has yet to be duplicated or remastered as the original Omnia. I was able to purchase an original EDP and while there are nuances of TP of years ago there is also the acridity that comes with age. I am happy to have a real bottle of her again but she has aged...as have I. She was my FIRST love and this was as sophomore in high school. Once she settles and lets out her barrage she does turn into what I knew and remember her for. TP was a master of a fragrance before it's time. Now we love the heady, rich flowers of the likes of Rouge Malachite but in my humblest opinion TP would be the sister to put RM to bed after all her hard work of entertaining and sit out in the garden in the moonlight knowing life is as it is because she exists in the world.

Tendre Poison is the most gorgeous perfume I have ever had the pleasure of wearing. Went through a few bottles in the late 90s and loved it. I have recently found a vintage edt bottle from 1995 and am in love again! Very sad that Dior have discontinued this beauty. It is SO beautiful. Although not a 'soft' perfume, it is softer than the original purple poison. On my skin it smells clean, juicy and heady at the same time. I also own a vintage bottle of Cabotine De Gres, and to my nose, both perfumes smell very similar, but only the vintage versions, not the reformulated Cabotine (which is too harsh). Anyway, I'm not a sophisticated fragrantican, but had to share my love for Tendre Poison....I wish Dior would just bring this glorious perfume back!

I have to say, I'm surprised by the overwhelming comparisons to Cabotine. I guess Tendre Poison does share some of its character, but one is not a substitute for the other (unfortunately). I was nervous about blind-buying TP since I already own Cabotine EdT & EdP, worrying it would be an expensive redudancy, but they are cousins not twins. Tendre Poison opens very quietly, then blooms to create a soft white floral aura infused with a touch of pleasantly bitter asafoetida, layered with beautifully subtle and watery green vegetation. Cabotine has a lot more going on with its coriander, plum, and cassis, expanding on the theme and cranking up the tuberose. Both beautiful perfumes, but Tendre Poison speaks softly where Cabotine shouts gaily.

Inquietante, freddo,pungente, ma col cuore tenero,goloso,un profumo geniale erede di Poison del quale mantiene molte note, tuberosa,rosa, cannella,vaniglia, sandalo,fiori d'arancio,eliotropio,palissandro,ma non ha piu le spezie piccanti ne i frutti di bosco ne la prugna ,ne incenso ne le resine. Tendre poison è androgino,ambivalente,sembra ingenuo e semplice,ma non lo è, e non rivela mai se stesso completamente,crea un'illusione di verde bosco ma lo illumina col sole dorato,e poi lo incupisce e lo distorce. Un profumo intrigante che mi è piaciuto molto.

The heavenly green sister of poison. Tender? not so much! just because it's wrapped in green soap and galbanum doesnt make it angelic, far from it. But the result is wonderful and like original poison, unique. Tendre poison uniqueness is due to the asafoetida accord, it gives a green/boozy scent to the composition, and the soap facet stays along the life of the perfume. Tuberose, orange blossom and honey remain from original poison but instead of being paired with purple dark fruits and incense, here they mingle with a brighter green soapy haze. I was lucky to find a vintage 100 ml bottle of this beauty thats unfortunately been discontinued for a while now. Why?? scent: 8+/10 longevity: 7/10 sillage: 6/10

Just wanted to add a word on the Divain dupe of Tendre Poison mentioned below. Well, I was tempted as well and bought off Divain several Dior fragrances: Diorissimo, Dune and Tendre Poison. As I know very well these frags ( and have vintage samples to compare ) i must tell you that ... i returned all the 3 fragrances! None of them was even near resembling to the original. Case in point, the dupe for Tendre was watery, screechy, plastic smelling, migraine inducing and overly green and did not develop into that honeyed floral i was expecting. Remember: the closest dupe for TP is Cabotine (less green, more creamy a bit bolder) and Divain, while they can make some nice dupes, to date they cannot do Dior.

A deeply personal perfume for me, so take my bias as you will. When I was dating my husband, we would write letters to each other, and I sprayed this perfume on the paper. This is very feminine, very floral, and for me, extremely nostalgic. It has a baby powder quality without knocking you on the head with Johnson & Johnson. This is the final word on feminine, delicate, angelic beauty in a bottle. A little goes a long way. This is a spray, delay, and walk away application. I wish they would bring it back. I have a quarter of the bottle left and I'm keeping it as one would a museum piece.

Tendre Poison is an announcement that the tranquility of spring has passed and the first true day of summer has arrived. It radiates warmth and optimism. I've happily fallen under its spell.

I found it! I founnndddd it! I found it! This day was one of my happiest! A woman in my office is selling perfumes at a lower prices, but genuine ones. The funniest thing is that she doesn't know anything about them. So, today I saw this green beauty with it's vintage bottle and my heart would explode :) And believe me it's genuine! A genuine vintage 100 ml. bottle for 30 €! Wooohhaaa! :) I sprayed once on my wrist in the morning and 12 hours later I can still detect this beauty. It is like heaven in a bottle. Really, I can't believe that I found it. I am soooo happy!!!

My favourite ever perfume! Wearing it always lifted my spirits and left me feeling like I was wondering around in a spring cloud of deeply delicious fragrance. Back in the day I always made sure I had one bottle open and a spare ready on the shelf, as expensive as it was! I can’t believe they ever discontinued it and keep waiting in vain for Dior to bring this perfume back on the market but it never happens.... Meanwhile, Dior keep coming out with new, inferior varieties of Poison :-( I wonder if there is some way to petition Dior for Tendre Poison’s return?? If only..

And here it is: the green apple bottle. I knew I wouldn't be blown away by the scent and prepared myself for this. It's a soft delicate scent, like most of the other Poisons. Almost as if it's a fake. I get a soapy scent, but not heavy. I get a little flower, a little sweet. I get a powdery scent, but just a little. It's a little of everything, but put together very well. A very comforting cosy lovely scent. And... it lasts and it lasts... for 2 days!!! Now that's Dior Poison! Now you know it's the real deal. I started with a like, but now it's love :-)

Beautiful, dark, and sophisticated. My mom wore this all the time when she went out for work and dinner. Maybe it’s just the nostalgia speaking, but one of my favorite parts of hugging her when she came home from work as a kid watch catching a deep inhale of tendre. She wore other perfumes, but nothing ever hit like this one. I’m sad that this is discontinued... it’s so much better than the other Poisons that are out there right now but if they were to produce tendre again it would probably be reformulated and smell different from the original anyway.

Buttery soft green leaves that have just a hint of dew. A butterfly's footprints left behind after suckling the nectar from an opulent bloom. A vivid bloom of some sensual flower with deep color. Honey on rubies. What a beautiful perfume. I have the vintage in the Oval bottle. Too bad this was discontinued. I see Fragranticans comparisons to Cabotine de Gres and I don't agree. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, so they say. This one stands on its own. The best things are never meant to last. Snag this if you can!

This smells very green to me and not like a big bold white floral, thankfully. Isn't galbanum in the top note and not asofoetida, or are they in the same class? Tendre Poison can be sharp at times but the honey and woods really tone it down. What I love about Tendre Poison is the many facets. Sometimes it smells powdery, sometimes soapy, other times I get a lot of floral, some sweet, but there's always the unique green note (galbanum?) peeking through. Don't forget about that sexy musk in the dry down. Pure heaven!

This was one of the first fragrances asked my parents to get me for Christmas. That was mid 90s and I was 13-14 years old. I can’t remember much of the fragrance but I remember that I really loved it and it made me feel wonderful whenever I spritzed it on me. Years later, whilst looking for a new fragrance as a grown woman in her early thirties I looked for it and found out it was discontinued :( I really wish they would consider relaunching this. I truly want to try it again and travel back in time.

Christian Dior Tender Poison used to be my signature perfume,until Dior decided to discontinue it for reasons only known to themselves!! I absolutely hate Dior for doing this with most of the Poison range (Midnight Poison) which I absolutely also loved!! Tender Poison was absolutely beautiful,& will forever live in my heart & my memory forever!! & I still have a half full 50ml etd which I use occasionally!! Thank God for Gres Cabotine which smells similar to Tender Poison!!

Another discontinued beauty that I mourn :(. I have about an ounce left of this clean, sparkly scent and luckily it has a lasting sillage, as once it is gone, it is gone. I thought it had an apple tinge, but I suppose this was the bergomot? This is probably the first citrus-y scent I ever tried and it is like a luscious fruit basket surrounded by flowers. I always kept a bottle on hand and hope that Dior will at least consider bringing it back even in a limited way.

I was very fortunate to find a bottle of this vintage Tendre Poison quite by chance. I already own Cabotine by Gres which I love so very much, and was excited to try this for comparison. The Dior opens the same for me, nice and fresh, spring-like, but then becomes sweeter with the honey. The tuberose is definately there for me - so I have to say I love this one as well. Anyone who misses Tendre Poison will surely enjoy a close second with Cabotine by Gres.

I bought a mini off ebay, because I just had to smell this one since I'm a fan of Hypnotic & Midnight Poison. Once I smelled it, I instantly remembered smelling this years ago, but I can't remember who wore it! It smells funny on me at firs. It's SO hard to explain what this smells like since I'm not well versed in notes. Anyway, I noticed after about an hour it had calmed down quite a bit and smelled nice on me. Kind of light and flowery or powdery.

I just got my hands on a bottle. I feel super privileged to have it. The scent is comlpetely as I remember it from former days. Fresh, spring-vibe, uplifting and white flowers. Freesia and tubernes is the most prominant notes for me. This perfume has an amazing longevity and a very strong silage. Long lasting pleasure. Love this little green gem and will treasure it, for as long as theres something left in the bottle.

Finally I was able to get my hands on a miniature of Tendre Poison. It's very comforting and indeed tender. I don't get any dark, toxic, witchy vibe at all. It smells innocent, motherly. The scent of a kindergarden teacher. Something about this reminds me of my childhood. The green notes are only present in the opening. Then it gets very creamy and musky. My mother's face creams smelled like this version of Poison.

If my college chemistry lab was a woman, she’d be wearing this. Very intimidating but just as attractive, I find a lot of similarity to Chanel no 19 in terms of maturity and femininity. To me this has the same uniqueness and it has the same crisp feeling as no 19 in the opening, then after 10 minutes the tuberose and honey open up and it starts to remind me of Chanel Beige. My favorite among the poisons so far.

This is a lovely, clean, uplifting scent. I don't really get citrus but it's definitely a fresh floral. A little green, soapy, makes me feel clean and happy. When I get fed up with gourmand fragrances this freshens up my nose and wakes me up. Longevity is excellent, around 11 hours so far. Love the quality of Diors ingredients, they never disappoint.

Bitter green,strong soapy,noseeating,headach inducing,,too strong.i used to love it since it came out.Today i boughtit again,after long years without it and i find it too strong for me and not so likable.I am sad,because it is soooo good to my nose before.I will wait for the warm weather,because now in the cold it is not that good

I remember my self, 20 years ago, a teenager, saving money to buy this dreamy perfume! I had no idea of perfume notes, sillage etc, I just thought it smelled wonderful and so, oh so classy and chic! I finally bought it at the Munich airport on a trip to Germany, visiting relatives. I was the happiest girl alive!

I LOVED this one! But of course discontinued as so many other of the best fragrences (imo) It was so tender just as the name sais. My sister had a small test bottle of it and i intended to buy a big bottle but never got around to it before it was just a memory. I always think of my sister when i see this one❤️

This is sexy, soft spice, creamy and not too sweet. Gorgeous, for day or night. This is a mature scent, not at all fruity or sickeningly sweet and should be used sparingly. It is not a "common" scent, you would have a difficult time running to the mall finding anything similar. It is really beautiful.

Oh the nostalgia with this one. The first sophisticated scent I ever bought for myself, and honestly one of the best. So green, and so complex to my nose. Cabotine doesn't come close to how beautiful this scent was, although there are a few reminders there. Bring this one back already!

I still miss you my " tender poison" ! It was my perfume , the one and only , I wore the 1994 version for a decade and some , day and night ! I so far did not make a similar " connection " or /and experienced this " perfect union " with an other fragrance !
