The Cachemire

This smells incredibly authentic. I get a honeyed jasmine green tea with lemon. If you’ve tried other Maison Christian Dior fragrances you’ve probably experienced the similarity in many of the scents’ musky tart base. This also has that same tart quality. Very calming and relaxing. Completely inoffensive. I say it for many in the line but it’s true here too- it’d make a very good signature fragrance; which I think is what they’re going for especially regarding recent entries to this line. The projection is way stronger than I had thought it would be for a fresh tea fragrance and I love that about it. Nobody seems to compare this to Creed’s Silver Mountain Water and I know it’s been compared to death to other fragrances but this fragrance has some similarities to that too. It’s a musky tea fragrance with more emphasis put directly on the tea accord than in SMW. There’s lots of differences but they are in the same vein for sure. All in all one of my favorites that I’ve tried from this line. It deserves way more hype in the fragrance community but it’s fine by me if it’s a well kept secret since I’m selfish and want it all for myself!

I know tea fragrances aren't for everyone. But they are for me. I have worn and loved fragrances like Bvlgari Au the Blanc and Au the Bleu, Nishane Wulong Cha, and ET's Green Tea fragrance for years. There are probably some others in there I'm forgetting, but I love tea fragrances. Awhile back, I purchased some fragrances from Dior and they sent me a travel size of The Cachemire. I loved it at the time, but didn't pull the trigger for whatever reason. However, like an old lover, I couldn't stop thinking about it and finally picked up my phone to send a text... Which led to to a purchase on the Dior website! This fragrance is everything it should be - light, refreshing, clean, and perfect for warmer weather, especially, although I could see myself wearing it in the fall. It's comforting, and I love to spray myself with it before I wrap myself in a blanket, or when I'm just puttering around my apartment. I highly recommend this fragrance if you love tea scents, and if you like feeling refreshed :-)

For some reason I associate this smell with vacations my family took as a kid to the islands off of South Carolina. It reminds me of a clean condo with the windows open, wind blowing, and a view of the sandy beach and the smell of the ocean air. I smell the sand, I smell the seashells, I smell the vegetation by the beach entrance, but I also smell the nice soap the condo had. This has to be my most evocative scent that I own, and I own a lot of scents. I had to buy a full bottle as soon as I smelled it. Other than being evocative for me personally, it is a technically brilliant fragrance. It is perfect for either sex for any situation as long as there is warm weather involved. I don’t think smelling this in the fall or winter would be a particularly pleasant or noteworthy experience for most people

This is such an amazing and well-blended scent. The rose in here somehow smells like a fruit, but isn't too sweet or jammy. White tea and mate are blended nicely, and the musk gives it some depth and keeps it from being too green, but the musk isn't overpowering and isn't center stage. I think this light scent is unisex, truly unisex. And I call it light in the most complimentary way possible. Projection and sillage are great... I expected it to not perform as well as it did. was surprised that I could still smell this scent on my skin after 8 hour at work! It really is a beautiful scent. I haven't smelled anything like it. A favorite among the newly christened Maison Dior Collection.

Washed and dried linen, hanging in the breeze on a sunny day. It smells like the cool side of the pillow feels. Immediately bright, incredibly fresh, invigorating. A nuanced "green" scent of tea and white florals, balanced with clean musk and a subtle hint of smoke. Once it starts to dry down a bit, it has that almost-sweet grassy aroma you get from a freshly brewed cup of yerba mate (something light like Liebig Original). Another work of art by Demachy, this one unassuming at first, but like a painting with a foreground, subject and background, it invites you to take a closer look. It leans more female-unisex and is a situational wear, but a certain 10/10 nevertheless.

So happy I have this scent in my collection! This is exactly what I want this tea fragrance to be, and has amazing performance given the notes. So balanced and wears beautifully throughout the day. The base of mate and orris really shine through on me and have me smelling my wrist all day for a "hit" of that tea/alfalfa scent. I can also smell the rose adding just a bit of freshness to pick things up! THIS is the one that made me confident in my love of tea scents. Very niche and I would recommend to anyone wanting a unique freshie that can find its place in any season

I received a tester of this when I visited a Dior store in Paris in 2017. I loved it from the second I smelled it. The white tea and mate are most prominent on my skin, and the scent is absolutely divine, like a soft and comforting tea scent. It is not harsh or strong at all. I can see both men and women wearing this. Overall, I think this scent is pure perfection. I wish I bought it while I could but the price tag kept me away. I will buy it the next time I see it; it is too perfect not to be in my collection!

I am changing my review style to only review Fragrances I've had full wears of for multiple days, this fragrance is very fresh when you first smell it, dominant notes being tea, florals, Citrus and mate. On my first day of wearing the blackcurrant and rose were seemingly non existent, but the strangest thing happens when it sits on your skin, and you nose gets used the the bitterness of the mate, the blackcurrant is the last thing to leave your skin, juicy and sweet! 10/10 fragrance

Lovely tea scent, light, airy, soft and simple. I find it quite hard to describe this, sort of tea (but not so green) blend with citrus. If you are hoping for a complex fragrance, this isn't one. But for me this is excellence, especially considering that i got it for a discount. An easy everyday scent.

This is a blind buy because I heard that it’s going to be discontinued. It smells like green tea, lemon and honey. Definitely don’t overspray. This can last all day indoors. Recommend if you like citrusy tea fragrances. I love it so much that I’m considering to buy another bottle.

This is one of the best of those few powdery scents I've tried so far. It is so enjoyable, goes deep with the sweet powder :) Or it has something added to it that makes it so good. I don't smell any citrus at all while I can smell other (or at least some) citric scents.

This is what spring going into summer should smell. For me the white tea is taking over the whole perfume and as well what is salarying on my skin. Is it fresh and clean and last quite long for the whole day. It reminds me slightly of the cheaper Te bianco of Erbolario.

The most nuclear freshie I've ever found, except 724 by MFK which is on a par. This is a lovely scent. Honeyed flowers and tea create a warm aura. Despite the summery notes, I find it's too much in summer, and works better in autumn and winter. Don't overspray!

Overbrewed tea and dark red roses. It's very unisex and almost seems like the unisex counterpart to Sakura (where I also get green tea and roses among other notes). This is sophisticated, comforting, simple, and natural.

I smelled Dior's Thé Cachemire at Neiman's the other day. I found it fresh & delightful. I lost the sprayed card on the way home though. Another I was surprised to like was Dior New Look.

Simply beautiful. Citrusy without being harsh, tea-like, of course, and soft and gentle. I absolutely love this scent and am so glad to have it in my collection 💚✨✨

I got this one since 2017. Love at first sniff. I guess it's White tea. Fresh and smooth very easy to wear.

Wulong Cha but better/more delicate. But they all smelll like Elizabeth Arden Green Tea imo

It's probably not a brand association Dior would have been hoping for, but every time I wear this I think of that OutKast tune from 20 years ago (jeez, that long already?): "Ain't nobody dope as me, I'm dressed so fresh, so clean...". That's the effect this one conjures. Perfectly crisp, way classy, sexy without being obvious, and clean, clean, clean, without being soapy, astringent, cliched or in any way downmarket. BUT. Is it all the way upmarket either? As much as you'd expect for Dior special collection prices? Hmmm. Maybe not all the way there either. Seems a touch femme to me, but that may be down to there being fractionally more rose, musk and orris in here than in the tea fragrances I love best. Could certainly work for very secure men who just want to smell great (and smell so fresh and so clean, of course.) The white tea and mate notes are definitely centre stage, but I thirsted (ha!) for them to be bolder, even more herbal, maybe weirder and less conciliatory. To me the tea presence here is a mild, small cup of recently-brewed, very transparent green or white tea, so reading about it being 'pure black tea' or 'over-brewed' here baffles me, I only WISH it were that strong. Nothing takes away from the impeccable freshness and poise of The Cachemire ... but you wouldn't necessarily pick it out of a lineup of various tea scents, if you were sniffing blind, as 'obviously the highest quality product of them all'. It's very very good - that it reminds me most of all of Ormonde Jayne's stunningly calming Qi is a clue to just HOW good - but I wonder whether, if you just want to smell "so fresh and so clean" in this genre, you might get more bang per buck and a nearly-as-impressive aura in something cheaper from the Bvlgari tea line, or maybe even something even cheaper yet from Elizabeth Arden. However, if you love Dior, or love tea, or love to smell all put together and as if you've just bounced out of a beautiful shower ALL DAY, then the Cachemire should be automatic. Performance is surprisingly robust for a tea-themed scent - they're often tragically fragile, whereas this keeps pumping out freshness for up to 5-6h on me. One to make you dust off your shoulders, straighten your backbone and meet the world with a bright and optimistic attitude. Maybe not the most original or the most wham-bam-big-impact, but this is unmistakably the smell of a whole new day!

The Cachemire is a very whimsical and Nostalgic scent, almost Fantasia to me. While Cachemire should smell like something very leathery. This is more like a Wool sweater to my nose. A wool sweater that is properly clean and kept in a cabinet waiting for the new winter. To become alive again. While Tea and Citrus are very prominent as a sort of drink. There is fluffy fabric accord ley underneath to prevent it from becoming a gourmand fragrance. As the scent develops, you still scent the Tea / Citrus but it merges into the Wool fabric accord. And provide a clean sweet, mildly green scent to linger with you all the way you wear it. I would say, it will not make a cut for winter because this is quite soft. but it does remind me of the scent of fresh winter garments somehow. Longevity is around 6 hours - 7 hours mark with Moderate to Soft protection. It seems this fragrance provides the experience more than the one that properly wears for any occasion. Despite its expensive labels, this is good for experience fragrance. 9/10 for me.
