Citronnelle & Geranium

I actually adore this fragrance and think it has reasonable longevity, especially for a body spray. It opens with a beautiful powdery but crisp citronella and lemongrass and then some lovely herbal and green notes come to play. It dries down to a lot of neroli and if you're not a neroli lover, skip this one, but I think it's great. It's natural and fresh and green and neroli-happy and doesn't come off as bug spray to me, but I can see it having that effect on the bugs in a natural way. I don't know, maybe I've used some potent bug sprays, and I've likened certain fragrances to bug sprays in the past (and I hate those), but this body spray is wonderful and natural and uplifting and stays and fades fresh. Perfect for warm weather. And I like knowing that wearing this fragrance at least isn't going to draw in the mosquitoes like other perfumes do on me. Contemplating a second bottle before it disappears again. I wish Diptyque would make this one permanent as it's really become a favourite daily go-to for casual daily outdoor life.

I am my local mosquitoes' favorite snack. I don't know if it's blood type or if they just know I'm extra sweet, but they FEAST on me while leaving my companions largely unbothered. I bought this because why not, and you know what, it works pretty well at repelling them. I don't mind coming back inside and getting this on my upholstery/linens, and I don't feel like I need to shower it off immediately because it's non-sticky and I love the scent so much.

I'm sort of obsessed with this fragrance at the moment. I found it because I was interested in Dyptique Geranium, but ended up liking Citronnelle & Geranium better. I especially like the opening with the strong citronella - I have a mosquito repellent that smells similar that I have always liked. I'm thinking drydown is more of the floral - I wish it lasted longer than an hour.

For a 60$ Diptyque edt/body spray, im quite impressed. Nice fragrance and also an insect repellant at the same time! If you spray ligtly and from far away, almost no insect repellant smell, just a nice citrusy lemon grass musk scent. As for longevity quite impressed, about 4 hrs on my skin, and moderate silliage. For the price ill deffinately buy again when available!

I like this fragrance. It lasts longer than the Diptyque Geranium on my skin and is an uplifting and refreshing scent. It lasts about three hours.

This really works. In general mosquitoes love me but while using this they went to my husband instead, for the first time ever. The scent is strong, though, everyone can smell it.

It is a mosquito repeller but an elegant one.

Spicy and pungent lemongrass insect repellant made prettier by orange blossom near drydown. Extremely long drydown of orange blossom with a hint of lemongrass. Almost impossible to pull off as body fragrance as this IS an insect repellant from opening to heart phase! I can imagine insects being VERY afraid of this smell! If I can put it this way: 70% (lemongrass) insect repellant, 30% (orange blossom) perfume.

Probably as the title suggests, but above all, it’s a distinctive candy, something almost edible. It could be another fragrance from Novella or something like that — some kind of hard candy.

It actually evokes some sort of childhood memory but it is not a very pleasant one. It smells exactly the same to mosquito repeller I used to spray in outdoor activities. Definitely a big no for me.

Harsh opening that dries into a soft neroli skin scent. Seems useless as both a mosquito repellent and a fragrance.

It works. (Mosquitoes LOVE me. The little vampiric assholes feast on my flesh like I am manna from above.) Citronelle & Geranium goes on comfortingly strong, with that invasive green citrus that immediately stops the annoying tinnitus whine that is not "just in your head." In a half hour or so, orange blossom and neroli ease in to soften the sharp sting of the lemon leaves, for a glorious insect free afternoon. Would it stand up to the fanged pterodactyls that live in Vermont marshes? No. You need DEET for that. Is it as sweet smelling and nostalgia inducing as Avon's iconic Skin-So-Soft? No, but it's a lot less oily and doesn't stain the clothes. But since hats with full netting aren't apropos for garden parties anymore (a shame, that) this is worth the cost for those fancy outdoor events when waving and slapping and swearing and welting and itching seems undignified.

When you first spray in the lemongrass is so so strong and smells horrible just like mosquitoes repellent then after 20 minutes it’s kind of ok. I personally wouldn’t not buy a full size bottle just not for me.
