Call for a Good Time by Discothèque feels like the much, much louder sister of Gucci Flora Gorgeous Jasmine — bolder, brighter, impossible to ignore. If you adore that fragrance, consider this a safe blind buy. This is jasmine bathed in sunlight: clean, bubblegummy floral sweetness, wrapped in something creamy. Not green, not rain-soaked or dewy, and not the skanky indolic jasmine I usually adore. This is jasmine at high noon, blooming unapologetically in all her glory — soft, buttery petals warmed by the sun. The yuzu and ylang-ylang blur into the jasmine that reads as a creamy citrus to my nose, polished and luminous. It leans more bougie laundry detergent than sharp lemon cleaner. She stays linear from first spray to drydown, never straying far from her opening melody. As the hours pass, the edges soften; the musk quietly rises, like silk against warm skin. Maybe this isn’t the most groundbreaking scent profile for niche scents, but I don’t care because this is love. The kind of scent I would reach for every single time, no hesitation, even on my deathbed. That’s how deeply I adore it. Signature scent worthy in every sense of the phrase. And the performance? Incredible. Twelve-plus hours on skin, over twenty-four on clothes, lingering like a memory that refuses to leave. The sillage is beautiful too, though for me longevity matters more. I wear fragrance for myself — to live inside it, not to announce myself to anyone else. Some fragrances impress you, some intrigue you, and some simply become part of your story. This one feels like comfort and indulgence wrapped into one — familiar enough to feel like home, but beautiful enough to still make me pause and smile every time I catch it on myself. If loving a fragrance this much is dramatic, then so be it. This is the kind of scent that reminds me why I fell in love with perfume in the first place.

Call For a Good Time is a beautiful, feminine, soft spicy, powdery white/yellow floral fragrance. While my description might make this perfume sound like many other fragrances available on the market, it has its own unique character. Pairing of notes like jasmine, ylang ylang, pink pepper and amber is quite frequent in feminine perfumes, but in Call For a Good Time, we have the addition of yuzu, angelica and violet that creates a spectacular, distinctive scent. I am not trying to exaggerate how beautifully this combination smells like, but it’s definitely addictive. If you love a dominant indolic jasmine with exotic, spicy, powdery, green facets, this one is fantastic! I have bought recently a travel size of this perfume and another one from Discotheque, and after trying Call For a Good Time for three times (may I add out of season for a floral perfume), my hopes for the second scent, All Night Until First Light, are very high. I am confident that when spring arrives, I will go through my travel size in no time and I will probably purchase a 50 ml bottle. For a new niche brand, the perfumes are not terribly priced. Will update in a couple of months if that happens.

I wore this to Austin City Limits and when I got back to my hotel room that night, I still smelled of this perfume. I smelled Good! Even after 6 hours in the sun and heat and three different packed crowds. I was up front at the Strokes show surrounded by sweaty dudes and when I took my outfit off before my shower I kept catching wafts of this from clothes. It’s very alluring and sexy and bright and pretty indolic. I really love it and want to get a full size once I finish the sample — which may take a while as a little goes a very long way. It’s a very straightforward floral. There’s nothing really strange or different about this scent, but I think it’s remarkable in how pretty and how strong it is. I’m a huge jasmine lover so I really do love this. To me this scent is flirty but only if you’re flirting with some seriously heavy handed innuendo. Does that make sense? It’s not raunchy,.. it’s playful,,, but it’s not mysterious. And it definitely smells like summer to me.

It’s a corny name, but I won’t care when I get a full bottle and wear this repeatedly. It’s an airy and carnal jasmine scent that will immediately catch your nose and eyes when this scent tickles your nose in the ballroom of the mansion you are currently partying in. I think of this as a friendly and benevolent woman who approached you, but secretly has a seductive and dark personality. This scent feels so innocent from the bright yuzu and florals, but turns dark quick with that intoxicating jasmine.

I love the ironic and tongue-in-cheek names of all the discotheque fragrances and this one is my personal favourite in that department. While this one is a bit more feminine than I would wear, layered with my favourite scent of theirs (heathens cowboys), it’s a very enjoyable combo. Overall a very well-constructed white floral if that is up your alley and definitely evokes the light shows of tokyo as the inspiration describes.

Sometimes, you get a very typical fragrance profile but it's done SO WELL that it becomes something special. These notes don't look like anything to write home about, but the SMELL is heavenly. It's not too much of any one element. It's sunshine with no humidity on a perfect picnic day, it's windswept hair on a breezy day, it's honestly so gorgeous idc that it's just a white floral. It's THE white floral for me.

Wow this is so good. I’m working my way through the discotheque discovery set and this is so good. Bright florals with jasmine then comes the yuzu and ylang ylang to make it more richer. This is so beautifully blended. There’s nothing old lady about this, this is a women whose confident with a warm, alluring edge, just like the perfume. Deffo full bottle worthy! The first thing you smell is the citrusy burst of Yuzu followed by the dry-down of jasmine. The musk adds a levity to the fragrance that saves it from being overly floral. This is a great unisex fragrance that'd be a hit in the club, no doubt about it.

One of my favorites and I usually don’t go for super flowery scents but there’s something special about this one. It has that familiar quality that I can’t quite place that makes me want to smell it over and over to figure it out.

This is a jasmine fragrance through and through. Diva sillage. Extremely feminine. I tried this as part of their discovery set, spritzing it in all the right spaces right before heading to the bus stop with my boyfriend to go grocery shopping. Stood at the bus stop, we could not stop dying with laughter at how strong it was. The bus filled with the scent, as did the aisles in the grocery store. Keep in mind that I am a man. Wearing it I got a good sense of the wearer. She’s 60 but looks 40 and acts 30. Skinny and enigmatic, demure, flirtatious and playful. Maybe her kids are grown up, maybe she never had any. She gets along with everyone. Some women take issue with that because everyone includes their partners. She doesn’t really care though because she’s cool - it’s not her fault they aren’t. Now get this woman a cigarette! I clearly have someone in mind. The jasmine appears immediately, first bright and fresh, before quickly settling down into a more powdery composition that will slowly retreat back to the skin over 12 hours.

The jasmine here jumps at you at first spritz. Together with that fresh ylang-ylang, and a lot of musk this perfume is soapy clean. It is probably not how I would imagine a nightclub in the year 2000, but if you asked me to name a soapy clean city I would probably say Tokyo, so I get it. The yuzu in this is comforting and emerges when the fragrance dries down on the skin, and it transforms into a fresh linen scent. A clean amber, if that is something to exist. It is great but feels a bit too easy? But, the more this is on my skin the more I like it. An easy reach, a clean pick me up before bedtime.

soapy white floral with nice citrus in the opening. the jasmine is definitely there in a big way, which i think combined with the amber and soapiness gives the dated vibes that others have mentioned. honestly i don't disagree that it feels a bit dated, but i also think that's kind of the point of discothèque's fragrances so i don't count that as a negative. the jasmine is really the issue for me; it's just not a note i can tolerate on myself. overall: really beautiful but ultimately not something i'd wear.

This instantly smells like Mugler Aura EdP wears down on me - the ylang ylang that lingers on my skin after the more interesting parts fade away. A bit more jasmine come through after a while, but ylang ylang is predominant on my skin. I sadly couldn't really detect any Violet, Angelica or Pepper, which might have made it more interesting to me. It's a very feminine-leaning floral, and unexpectedly classic-smelling for a newer niche brand like Discothèque.

Just beautiful. Different, and bright. Not usually a massive jasmine fan but the violet is lovely. You’d have to be a big floral fan to enjoy this as there’s not as much citrus as the yuzu or description would suggest, and it’s emphatically not a freshie imo. Mega silage and longevity. Everything in the Discotheque sampler is unique and interesting. Big fan of this brand!

This reminds me of something extremely specific. I cannot figure out what it is but it's going to drive me nuts. A shampoo I once used? Something my grandma wore? People saying it smells dated makes sense but to me it's giving vintage, gonna wear my disco look with this disco fragrance kinda scent. OMG EDIT -- Something my grandma wore! suuuuper heavy white floral. the jasmine in this isn't leaning too far into the danger zone, but unfortunately it doesn't quite compare to my more sophisticated and balanced white floral fragrances (which happen to be my favorite scents overall). i did like this, and it's good for a flirty vibe or sunny, warm weather, but not my favorite in the set.

Fresh and clean from first spray to dry down. Feels like one of those shampoo adds where people walk through a waterfall wearing all white linen clothes and have flowers in their hair. It is soapy as previous reviews noted, but not in a bad way. Dated but nostalgic. I like it however, its not unique enough for a full bottle.

big on the ylang-ylang, big on the yuzu. very sweet, a bit of a sting on the nose upon first application, dries down to be calmer. turns wicked juicy, can smell more of the jasmine as the hours pass.

Reminds me a bit of Parma violets but also smells like bubblegum in the way white florals sometimes do. Very femme very fun but not for me personally
