Star Wars Galaxy

Riding on the previous comments, this is definitely the oddest scent in my wardrobe... Not necessarily in an ugly or displeasing way. Just, unconventional, if you will. The closest thing I can compare this aroma to is Grapefruit-flavored mechanical oil. Yeah I know. Strange. But believe me when I say it's not all that bad. If "Carbon" (by Ajmal) had a baby with "Fuel for Life" (by Diesel) and sprinkled it with plain, old Grapefuit juice you would probably factor out with something similar to this creation, "Galaxy". The opening blasts a vanguard of smells that remind me of working in an automobile shop. Kind of gives off that "Gas" and "Car-Parts" smell that everyone is familiar with. And of course there's the Grapefuit, which remains ever-present to some degree throughout the whole chemical process.. That being said, after the initial wave of the opening, the drydown brings forth an oncoming chorus of floral notes (very comparable to "Carbon"). The rose and violet take front and center stage with that presentation, as well. The whole atmosphere seems to shift during the drydown. It becomes much softer. More approachable and not as awkward. Actually, it turns into a very pleasant smell. Not as weird, probably due to the lack of the Grapefuit prying for attention. All in all, very unique. I wouldn't say it's for everyone, but if you like smelling "different" or you like standing out in an intriguing way, this is definitely for you. Not recommended for formal settings or sensitive noses. I can understand that this may be off-putting to some people, but I quite enjoy it :) I give it a 7.8/10 It's dirt cheap right now online, so you won't lose much by looking into it. I recommend you at least try it. PS- to be honest, I really just bought it because it said -Star Wars- lol

Yeah, this is a strange one! If you sniff it deep off your wrist right after you've sprayed it, don't expect to be on speaking terms with your nostrils for the next five seconds. It hits hard, and it hits really dang weird, like what I imagine some sort of Star Wars equivalent of maintenance oil would smell like. (That's only the first second or two of the opening, though. You haven't just doused yourself in sci-fi mechanical lube, I promise.) I don't know if I could have made head or tail of Galaxy if I had smelled this on someone in passing with no note list to guide me through it. The one note I can successfully sniff out is the grapefruit. I've never been good at identifying individual flowers, so I can't say much about that aspect of the composition. Only that there's something floral there. Can't single out the cloves but I can believe they're there, mingling with the patchouli and providing a warm, pleasant base for that more citrus-y stuff. This was a successful blind buy for me, but only because I'm a huge fan of 'weird' perfumes that work for some reason you'll never be able to figure out. (And because it was dirt cheap.)

i bought it for my boyfriend as hes a star wars fan. BIG MISTAKE. it was so bad i had to take it away from him and apologise as we both thought it was disgusting probably the most disgusting fragrance ive ever smelled. just a straight up patchouli bomb and i couldn't smell anything else. if you like patchouli you will love this but if you expect anything else you wont get it smells like an old rotten shed with a hint of soiled diapers.

Of all the exotic and even expensive fragrances I own this, much to my amazement, must be the most bizarre. Odder also that I bought it with Driod and I think they they have the names the wrong way round as, if this smells of anything, it smells of what I think a droid my smell like. The first couple of times I put this on I think it gave me a headache, I find the smell so alien and undefinable, it's both pleasant and wrong, very wrong If Serge Lutens wanted to charge me $600+ for a bottle of this I'd probably pay it, as it was I think I got it for about £5 from an online store. I recommend checking it out, if only so you can post here and tell me what you think it smells like. Of the rest of the current Star Ward collection I'd say Dark and Droid are pleasant, the rest are literally forgettable.
