Star Wars Dark

Something that particularly impressed me in Star Wars Dark was how intense it it. It not only surrounds me in its aroma, the first hour or so everyone walking past me can definitely smell it clearly, but it is also long lasting and I can still smell it on my skin for hours after I put it on. 1 hour later: The perfume is exactly like the moment I put it on, sitting on my desk anybody walking past me can smell it coming from me. It is not overpowering but it is present. 3 hours later: I can still smell the perfume around me as I'm sat down on my desk working, without getting close to my skin and I can tell the scent coming from my neck apart from the one coming from my wrists, due to the intensity. 6 hours later: After washing my hands I can not pick up the scent in my immediate environment all the time. However I can still smell it on my wrists, which I washed with soap, and I can smell a hint of it every now and then from my neck, so it has managed to remain on very well.

I really like this fragrance. When you first put it on, its very sharp, probably the orange and the magnolia, and then it calms down to a sweet, spice gourmand. I can detect the cloves and the cacao most, and there is a hint of some leftover sharpness, but it is very nice, and does remind me of the dark side. Warm and a little bitter at times, Deceptive, yet sweet.

I had just gotten the limited edition of Star Wars Light and Dark in the same box. Being a Star Wars and Disney geek, I had to try/have them. Neither are kid scents (which some may be concerned about, considering the Disney name on it), but most would consider them for a younger adult market (18-30). Both have a good moderate sillage and fairly long longevity - even after 10-12 hours, they're detectable as skin scents. And I think they go well together - wearing one on each arm, they seem to dominate alternately with passive whiffs. SW Dark starts out almost gourmand- largely chocolate and amber, with a good support of patchouli and magnolia (that beautiful lemony tart floral scent of fresh magnolia flowers) - think a little along the lines of LIDG (cocoa/pathcouli/lemon), but more gourmand sweet and not nearly as dry/dusty. It dries down to a nice woody/musky scent, with hints of the opening notes.

A very nice creation. It’s dark, but the orange in it gives it a deliciously sweet facet that keeps the chocolate from being too strong. A tad bit aldehydic, but really this fragrance is quite nice. I like it better than it’s sibling, Star Wars Light, as I find it’s more unique.
