UPDATE 09/30/24: I purchased a sample through eBay, and Vaniteese is now available for purchase in the U.S. via Dita's website! I love this fragrance every bit as much as I thought I would, but it's a little pricey in my opinion, compared to what it is selling for overseas. It smells very much like Chanel's lovely new Comète, which is at the top of my wish list. I don't think I need both, but I do adore this one for sure! Oh, I can hardly wait to try this perfume!! Any advice from those in the U.S. who have used third party shippers?? @notoriousndgo @applejack78 I'd love to know what company you used. Thank you!

I'm the US, but was able to get this fragrance from a third party seller in France. This blind buy was 100% worth it. Vaniteese is lovely and feminine. The bottle definitely fits the fragrance. It's my introduction to the Dita Von Teese brand. It has a sweet, powdery, and floral make-up vibe like a dusting powder. Reminds me of a fragrance that a ballerina would have on her vanity.

The fragrance begins with sweet, powdery, and exceptionally dry notes. After two hours, it transforms into a more creamy scent. I would choose to wear this for a cozy and comforting experience at home, particularly after indulging in a lengthy bath. Its lasting power surpasses that of Victresse.

To me it is not like a lipstick perfume as other people say but more a powdery perfume like the ones from the make up, the vintage dusting and lose powders. It is totally matching with Dita’s image. And it is very elegant, niche and feminine too. I like the bottle, very retro :)

I have it..the first spray is a ton of alcohol. After a few moments it sits with a powdery lipstick vibe. The BIG NO of the perfume is the longevity......this only lasts on my skin for 20 min.

Just sprayed it on my skin as they happened to finally have a tester in Rossmann. I had high hopes... Well, this is just meh, something I smelled many times before and not my type of scent - headache inducing, although not as much as the other in the series - Vedette. So sad, because I really wanted to like it.

This fragrance is currently only available (online?) at Germain retailer, Rossmann; and the notes listed here are wrong. The official notes listed are as follows: "This perfume opens with green accords of powdery mimosa, which merge with wafer-thin, sweet orange blossoms and rise together with spicy clove. Vaniteese is particularly special because of the romantic violet, a favorite essence of Dita. This is accompanied by a touch of heliotrope and suede-like orris root. Together they settle on a floor of warm musk, velvety cashmere wood and rich vetiver, creating a swirl of sensuality and a flawless finish." There are also two other fragrances in this collection: Vedette (red and black bottle), and Victresse (forest green and black bottle). All three fragrances are by Dita, and are part of the same collection. EDIT: I just placed a purchase for all three fragrances from the Rossmann website using a proxy shipping service in Germany. I couldn't wait until she released them somewhere here in the US. Each fragrance is only about 50 EUR, so my total for all three fragrances in the collection was only 150 EUR. Slightly weary of the low price, but excited!

Man, how dumb I was to ditch it at Rossmann after a tiny, testing sprizz — meanwhile revisited the store for another trial and voilá, the sweetest blast-from-the-past hit me upon second sniff. It smells like the powder puff of a sophisticated, naughty dame (100% Dita) and her skin after a pampering baby bubblebath. Bone-dry, an immanent vintage boudoir.

Million lipsticks with droplets of wax on them. Wet powder in the drydown. If you like this type of perfumes (the name is fitting!) it might be worth trying. The whole collection is very simplistic and not nuanced.

I also tried this in the store - sprayed it on paper and then on my inner arm. It wears like an EDT, and I'd like to try it again because it has hints of MISIA, though it's more floral on the dry down.
