Eau Divine

Eau Divine is a straightforward aromatic citrus cologne, albeit beautifully formed. It is a lemon-dominant citrus scent, a difficult note to get right, but here it does not fall victim to the cleaning product/flu medicine pitfalls of lemon. Instead, the lemon note here is fresh and bracing, just the right amount of sharp, tempered to perfection by the aromatic spices. ED opens with the aforementioned lemon note, followed closely by the ginger. The ginger smells freshly-chopped, adding bite as well as spice, with warm nutmeg rounding it out nicely. This accord is delicious and refined - it is perfectly balanced, with the spices adding warm depth that allows the lemon note to shine. As it develops, the orange blossom adds body, tempering the lemon with orange-y sweetness. It is very lightweight and fresh still - the orange blossom never becomes syrupy here. Anise adds a slightly sweet edge to the spicy accord, and I briefly get a whiff of powdery violet. It becomes musky as it dries down, remaining fresh and aromatic until final fade, albeit softer. Sillage is intimate and longevity is weak, as is often the case with citrus freshies. It is a unisex scent for hot days. A pleasant, nicely-composed freshie that showcases a good use of a lemon note, ED is otherwise a run-of-the-mill cologne with fairly weak performance. Not bad. 3/5.

YES! this is the citrus scent for me. beautiful lemon - not a cleaning product, not a baked good, just an elegant and real LEMON! sexy masculine spices, the ginger and nutmeg blend so beautifully with the lemon, like they were made for each other. makes me feel absolutely beautiful. great fall fragrance, but would also be a freshie that isn't tooooo fresh for summer.

A lovely refined lemon with manners, interacting gracefully with a timid ginger. No one would mistake this for Pledge. Enough floral and spice to keep things interesting.

The beginning reminds me of Theorema Fendi, due to the big amount of summery lemon and nutmeg. Unfortunately lasts only 4 hours on my skin and is gone.

Bitter opening, fresh citrusy spicy dry down with an aquatic twist. Nice warm weather unisex fragrance. Interesting but nothing unique.
