Brindaban

I had won an Instagram give away sic months before but i had to lwave before reciving the package so my father took It at the post and kept It after i could come back home after the covid lock down. So i am trying this perfume now and It is really amazing. This is not the kind of perfume that i usually wear but i must recognize the high quality of the ingredients and a very Well done job here. The notes that i can find the most are the patchouli, very noticeable from the beggining, and the oud, giving to the fragance a dirty character. All around this notes some balsámic, fruity and sweet ingredients which are there but not un first place. So i would say this is a Woody and animalic perfume. The performance is very good. It lasts lot if time (more than 8 hours on my skin) with a medium projection, but even after 5-6 hours It is still there. I think It is an unisex scent, although i think probably men Will like It more cause It is a bit rude. It remember me of the bortnikoffs perfumes. I would recommend It for people searching for olfactive experience a more than weareable fragances. Scent: 8 Longevity: 9 Sillage: 7 Versatility: 6 Originality: 8.5 Quality/price: 5 Global: 8

Yet another hit by the immense talent of Nitish Dixit and Zak Laskar. The opening is a sweet Yuzu that starts things off on a bright and happy note. The marigold is earthy-sweet and is a welcome reminder of my time in Mumbai during Diwali being literally surrounded by its fragrance. The two stars of the show here are the beautiful lavender and patchouli. The lavender is both floral and herbal...really round and lovely. The patchouli is quite heavy. Thick and spicy, having somewhat aged characteristics. There is a smooth, slight Oudiness which is met in the drydown by a perfect combo of sandal and vetiver. What a treat for lovers of fougeres and natural fragrances. The performance is great and the composition is well blended. Dixit and Zak may be one of the best kept secrets in modern perfumery.

This is Nitish's favorite and I have to say it is also my favorite from the brand and by quite a wide margin. I'm not sure I'd be able to accurately describe how good it is to you. Unfortunately unless you already own it, its gone forever. All we can do is put hands together and beg for a Brindaban 2.

A Krishna temple on the banks of the Ganges river with the deity bedecked in marigold garlands. This is the imagery evoked by this lovely Oriental fougere . It opens with the marigold surrounded by lavender and lemon. The heart becomes more woody with patchouli, slight oud and pandanus leaf. The perfume settles on a bed of sandalwood and Indian vetiver. The perfume is serene and reverent. Moderate sillage and good longevity. All natural. Enchanting!

Brindaban is similar to rising Mysore but more so as it’s stronger older brother. It’s dark, spicy, and masculine with patchouli being the main player along with Hindi Oud and Ruh Khus. Dixit and Zak manage to capture the essence and spirit of Mother India. Solid performance without overstaying it’s welcome. It’s not as versatile as rising Mysore but it’s easily wearable in any climate. I agree with the review below me. These gentlemen are currently the best kept secret in perfumery and I feel they’re worth every bit of hype they’re going to receive in the future. I wish I could’ve secured a full bottle before they switched to sample only format but it’s worth checking out to get a feel for this house.
