Kashmir Nuit

This is an amazing fragrance that displays the blending skills of the perfumers. In my opinion, this is their best blended fragrance yet, even though it is a little on the softer side. If you have been following this house, you will probably be expecting something super dark just as I was. This blend is complex, yet meditative and comforting. I get a blast of citrus notes in the opening with some florals and a musky nuance. The spices are noticeable towards the mid, and I get a beautiful sandalwood note in here as well. The Oud (hindi oud) is present but not barnyard at all, it is more of a leathery vibe. I get Saffron as well providing some floral, extra leathery touch to that oud. the projection was low, becoming really close to my skin after the hour mark, but I could smell it 8+ hours later on my skin/clothes. This is a high quality, natural fragrance, that is meant to be worn not for others to notice you but for your own enjoyment. I see this as an oud fragrance that can be easily worn year round. Another great fragrance from the brand !!!!

A beautiful fragrance that I find myself falling for more and more with every wearing. This is a fragrance early in it's lifecycle - it has the potential to bloom into a superstar as it ages.

Quality mashup. Smells like chic laundry, or should I say the Sheikh's laundry... Roses and oakmoss on leather, atop a rich blend of floral and animalic elements, cinnamon and clove, with an oudy, pipe tobacco undertone. Magical, though barely wearable.

Kashmir Nuit Dixit & Zak Kashmir nuit is not $250 frag. Horrible staying power, extremely lightweight which is comparable to EDC, no real artistry in scent. When you spray it, you get very faint smell of roses, jasmine and oud. Oud is basic, clean varnish like scent that gives woodiness to this perfume. I would like to tell you more notes, but it faded so fast off my skin that i couldnt catch it. Dont buy it, especially at anything over original price, but even that is overpriced, regardless what ingredients were used. People that give praise to it here, already have it up for sale. That speaks volumes.

A pleasant natural Oriental Chypre. The perfume opens with citruses moving to a floral middle highlighted by rose and jasmine along with some soft spices like cardamom and cinnamon. The perfume settles on a powdery mossy bed highlighted by oakmoss, tonka bean and slight sandalwood and many other ingredients noted but hardly detectable. The slight feminine leaning scent has soft projection and moderate longevity. The overall feeling Is that of being in a North Indian garden on an autumn night but many sprays may be needed to achieve this effect. Enjoy!

My last review was removed. Apparently Fragrantica wants only positive reviews for this.imo one of the worst fragrances ever released. And certainly the worst from Dixit and Zak. Scent is medicinal and projection is non existent . Total waste of money, Get the Ghaliya which was released at the same time and is a gorgeous fragrance with beast performance.Avoid this turkey, not worth $10

Basically a skin scent with no projection. Expected more at this price point.natural ingredients but what’s the use of no one else can smell it on you unless your hugging that person. House just released 3 new releases and looks like only Rising Mysore 2 is worth owning, Oh well

Sold my bottle as was just to weak with no projection. Have to take a bath in it to retain any scent, and at an insane price of $255 for 30ml, that won’t happen.

Poor longevity and performance. I did not like this fragrance at all. The worst of Dixit and Zak imo. Basically a medicinal smelling light skin scent

Excellent scent that sits close to the skin. Wonderful tropical florals and grapefruit dominate the opening with a strong sandalwood note that many people confuse for Oud. The Oud is here but it’s way in the back and what happens is the sandalwood takes center stage and lasts for over 8-10 hours as a skin scent. I get soft projection for the first 2 hours or so before settling into a wonderful musky Mysore base. Kashmir Nuit is an example of how marketing can throw off people’s perception of scent. I think the confusion came from individuals expecting a heavily spiced Oud scent but instead got an ethereal and uplifting summertime sandalwood composition. With that being said, the sandalwood is the star of the show. More so than Rising Mysore 2. The saffron and cardamom work really well to round out the Sandalwood and if you’re familiar with Zakir’s Attars, the drydown is similar to signature musky sandal dna found in most Agarwood Assam offerings. I’m glad to own this as it layers extremely well with Ghaliya Reflection. What I like to do is use 3 sprays of Kashmir Nuit to one spray of Ghaliya Reflection and the combination as great than the total sum of its parts. In time the performance will amplify with proper maceration and if you’re like me and are turned off by massive “beast mode” anything, you’ll love how rewarding Kashmir Nuit has proven to be. I think it’s important that as a community we continue to uplift these small, independent artisans because the natural fragrance community is slowly growing and in time we’re going to see amazing works of art emerge from underneath an entire ocean of mediocre mass appealing designer fragrances. So by all means try this out if you can and see for yourself how you like it.

An indolic, faecal animalic leather that was not pleasant for me at all. It’s that near-faecal leather element that makes it hard to take. I tried it twice and I got the same response. I am just not a fan of these sorts of scents, but that's just me I guess...No thanks. Like others have said, it fades quickly (2 to 3 hours) and it vanishes entirely from my sniffing periphery -- 40 - 60 cms -- which was good, in this case. I'm aware that it's a largely natural scent, but still, was not a fan...

This is a masterful blend. Absolutely gorgeous. I will be buying ever dixit zak release. Pay no mind to the notes on here. You just need to smell it... if you can find a bottle. Why they gotta make these so damn limited and exclusive?

Lovely tangy musk with huge floral notes, hints of spices and Oud. My partner noted a lovely pandan note in the base and low and behold she’s right. Never seen Pandan listed in perfume!

Don’t know why, but I get great longevity, and good projection. Maybe the perfume has macerated, and the naturals are doing its thing now. Really enjoyable, and fun fragrance.
