Dolce Magnolia

I blind bought this and just received it yesterday. It's quite nice, really. I do pick up on the magnolia but it's definitely more of a gourmand fruity-esque type of scent. It reminds me of the other flankers by this brand but there are subtle nuances that seem to make this one stand out slightly better. unfortunately, like all of the other D&G flankers, it doesn't last on the skin. I may need to look for an oil 'dupe' of this for longevity and then layer this over it. All in all, it smells divine!

I absolutely love this! 💗 It has an incredibly cute, sweet, and girly scent—but it doesn't smell childish. I even wear it here in Japan, where it gets hot and humid. Unlike the cloying sweetness of *Hypnotic Poison*, it’s light enough to wear even in the sweltering heat. However, as is often the case with Dolce & Gabbana perfumes, the scent is too weak. I used it up so quickly that it was half gone in no time. But this is such a happy scent that buying a whole bottle is definitely worth it!

This is just lovely, nothing too wild but certainly not boring. Lasting well on skin, going strong after a couple hours still.

One of my new favorite scents. I originally thought it would be too floral but its not. Soooo good.

What a nice discovery! I've got a sample. It opens with a refreshing green pear indeed (not your typical freshie) and then it becomes a yummy floral ice-cream, not too overly sweet, creamy but not lactonic, with a floral sweetness that to my nose resembles the two chemical notes combined that give this characteristic sweetness to "Her Confession" by Lattafa, without it being any similar in any other way or note with HC, though. Then, the magnolia note comes trhough and blends beautifully with the ice cream (which does not have any "coldness" in it). The musk is pleasant! Not like those musks that smell like body odor. Very nice! In my opinion it's overpriced, though. It's very pleasant, feminine, but not memorable. An easy grab for cold spring days, as it has a warmth in it, despite the ice cream note. On my skin: a bit soapy, too - I love it! On my skin on a hot summer day, it's more cloying than I thought and too sweet (I adore sweet scents, but this one is warm ice cream 😂, as I said) My mom gave it a 6/10 😭 she doesn't like it at all. My dad gave it a 9/10 ! He liked it a lot! 💗😆 And on my other had I had the Nectar Irresistible by Givenchy and it smelled kinda bad compared to the D&G magnolia 🧐

Tried this on at Ulta because it had magnolia in the name. Love the refreshing pear opening and the creamy, almond like heliotrope with musk dry down feels comforting and wearable despite being on the sweet side for me personally. It’s creamy, powdery sweet like dusted marshmallows but not super sweet like toasted marshmallows. I just wish there was more magnolia! I really didn’t get much floral from this. The ambrette note seems too dominant when the perfume is supposed to highlight magnolia so I was a little disappointed on that front. That being said, I may purchase if I find a good deal because the longevity was 8+ hrs and my husband also liked the dry down.

Very sweet, but not too heavy. Candied pear with a big dollop of whipped cream. In the drydown I do get a touch of magnolia, but to me this is more gourmand than it is floral. Youthful, feminine, nice for spring. I enjoyed it. This also lasted longer on me than others from the line.

This is a beautifully blended fragrance. The ice cream note really stood out to me. I really want to buy this but I think it’s just too intense for me and would probably give me a headache, but I appreciate the notes and the experience of this fragrance. Very feminine and classy.

To my nose, it has a pleasant scent of pear and coconut milk. It’s a luxurious, creamy fragrance. I’m looking forward to seeing if it develops into an ice cream scent as time goes by.

On paper, sweet and really pretty. On skin it goes a little green and woody.

uniquely girly, worth a bottle.

ULTA had this out earlier last week as a platinum member exclusive early access. I got the travel spray. Nice! I love violet and blue jasmine. This was very familiar to Valentino’s Donna born in Roma. Sadly. It also has poor longevity. No silage. So I sent the travel spray back to ULTA today. Didn’t hate it but really disappointed. Deff sniff it before you try. Had they had a tester I would have been able to avoid the return but oh well.

I don’t love this. Unfortunately, I don’t even smell magnolia — it opens with a sharpness, a very green note that I’ll assume is the pear. In the middle, I get an overbearing dose of ambrette with almost no floral nuance. And underneath, it just smells really musky, not creamy at all. What the hell? This could 100% be a body chemistry issue, but please test it before you buy. I was expecting a pretty, creamy magnolia and got NONE of that. Very disappointing, honestly.

The pear in opening is very pretty I was very close to buying it but wanted to sit with it for a bit. I am glad I did because the dry down to me smells just like Initio Lift me Up which I already have. If I did not have it this would have been a keeper!
