K by Dolce & Gabbana

This cologne is the perfect example of why fragrances in general are so subjective. I’ve watched probably over 10 reviews on YouTube about this cologne and the majority of them were negative. I think that this cologne didn’t even have a chance with the Frag community because the majority believe it’s nothing ground breaking or unique. I on the other hand think it is unique in its own way and could be mass appealing to a lot of people who would actually give it a chance. On to the smell.... When I first smelled this at Macy’s I immediately thought it smelled really good but at the same time different. It starts off citrusy and sweet with a tinge of spiciness. I also got some woodiness after about 30 minutes of wearing it. A few hours later I went out to an outside event and met with my brother and his girlfriend and within 10-15 minutes was asked by my brother (who is also a fragrance aficionado like myself) what I was wearing that it smelled really good. I told him K by Dolce & Gabanna and he was pleasantly surprised being that even he initially thought it smelled mainstream. The moral of the story is just because YouTube reviewers or the Frag community heavily criticizes a particular fragrance doesn’t mean that it sucks.

My signature scent for over a year now, instantly fell in love with it as soon as i smelled it. On my skin i get this orange and lemon combo with the juniper berries and a hint of pimento, very fresh and cold citruses; then the lavender, clary sage and geranium appear a few minutes after alongside the pimento, this combo smells phenomenal on my skin, its smoky, cozy, warm and masculine ; finally at the end i get a simple but efficient woody base. I pair it with the arancia di capri body lotion by acqua di parma to stay in the italian vibe. I only get the « out of the shower » vibe in the opening. I wear it anywhere except for cooler weather and when I have to wear a suit. The only downside is the projection / longevity, this only projects for 2 hours and lasts 6/8 hours.

This fragrance just jives with my skin chemistry perfectly. I know K edt gets a ton of hate but I absolutely love the scent and believe it or not, it's one of my most complimented fragrances in my collection. I've been wearing K since 2020 and the way this smells in the air is just very nice, fresh, clean fragrance that lasts me 8+ hours and longer on skin and clothing. K also works well in hot or cold weather but it preforms better in the heat, which makes this fragrance a great choice to wear this spring 🌱 and summer. On discount sites you can grab this for under 60.00 which I believe is a great price for a 3.4 oz bottle!! Try out K edt for yourself and judge for yourself but as for me, K will always be in my collection solid 8.5 for me.

I know some people call this fragrance generic or inoffensive, but honestly—that’s exactly what I love about it. It smells rich and sophisticated, yet still manages to be zingy and fresh. There’s something effortlessly classy about it, with a vibe that practically shouts Italian Riviera. I remember smelling this and Dior Sauvage on the same day—both for the first time—and I chose this one. I finished the bottle and went back for another, which says a lot. In fairness, I’ve grown to appreciate Sauvage more over time, though I’m still not a big fan of peppery notes in general. This scent might not be for everyone, but to me, it’s easy to wear, uplifting, and just... great. 8/10

I always liked clean and fresh fragrances. I asked one my common friends to recommend a good unisex perfume and he brought this one for me at airport stores when he went for vacation. Initially I thought it was nice and bit masculine which I didn’t hate honestly. I always preferred unisex perfumes. Over the time I started using it during summer and beach days, sometimes to office and when I went out for coffee with my friends. It’s really good everyday summer perfume. Works well with my skin chemistry. Initial chilli pepper is prominent and then base Vetiver is damn good after few hours, and it’s long lasting. Now I can’t not have this one in my collection.

I feel this fragrance gets a lot of unwarranted hate. While it isn’t groundbreaking by any means, most other blue fragrances aren’t. For people who are averse to Vetiver I wouldn’t recommend this fragrance as off my skin the Vetiver cedar combo is very prominent. The citrus in this is lively, gives a good underlying sweetness and lasts quite a while. The longevity and projection of my skin are both a bit above average. For the price from discounters as compared to other blue scents this fragrance is a great deal and will easily pull compliments. No one will find it offensive in anyway and girls seem to love it. A solid solid pickup

Smells amazing. Honestly don’t know how anyone could hate D&G K! This EDT lasts long on me, especially for a fresher fragrance. I love that it’s not aquatic and the Juniper + Pimento make it stand out in a unique way. I think this is good as a signature scent year round, not just summer. Makes me feel like I visited up north in Minnesota — 60 degrees and lots of fresh greens around. Layers great with D&G The One for a warmer, spicier scent in colder weather or nicer events. The orange notes complement each other and it makes The One seem to last longer. 9/10 — I bought a 200ml for $50 and intend to use it!

I got this as a blind buy through WhatNot for around 27 bucks which I think is a steal for such a quality scent. Fresh, out of the shower, citrusy scent which is perfect for the summer and spring, I love the smell from beginning to end. Versatile and safe enough for places like the office and the gym and I can definitely see myself wearing this for going out as well. Longevity is your typical summer freshie with 4-5 hours but I do not mind since this fragrance is fairly cheap. Definitely blind buy safe, this is a scent that is liked by most people, I will be wearing this fragrance all summer long. 9/10

To be completely honest, there really is not much special going on here. A somewhat simple, somewhat bland and blind-buy safe perfume. However, I find myself going back to this one over and over again for one reason. I am a nostalgic person. I just happened to wear this during some of the best moments of my life. Whenever I spray it I get filled with a warm and fuzzy feeling. Memories flooding back like a plank picked up by the wind and then smacking me across the face. A plank in the face might sound unpleasant but it always manages to brighten my day.

Ms. Lorson is one of my favorite perfumers and I appreciate her contribution to this underrated fragrance. I don't understand why this fragrance is not well liked in the fragrance community but I have been wearing K since 2020 and I absolutely love this fragrance. Clean, citrusy, spicy and unique fragrance that last all day on my skin and can be worn year round except for extreme cold weather. I recommend this fragrance if you want a daily signature scent that has great longevity and projection and that will bring you complements.

My first fragrance and signature that i wear almost every day. Got it for around $50 as a first step in the collection and just keep coming back to it. The opening is perfect for my taste with a heavy citrus focus, and i absolutely fell in love with the smooth vetiver dry down. Not for everybody, but shines in the spring and on warmer fall days. Solid longevity, gets me 7+ hours through a day at school and is a skin scent after about 5. Would recommend sampling, not the most blind buy safe fragrance but a solid designer.

Very nice. Firstly I smelled the edp on my friend couldn't say I loved it but the EDT on the other hand is much better. Cleaner and more lavender but I have to say I have smelled better I will buy it for summer and can tell you it will do a great job and don't get fooled by the "EDT" it is really strong so make sure you don't over spray when you are going somewhere where it will have no windows honestly this is for the people that liked the edp but thought it was a bit too classy also great for an everyday fragrance

I never will understand the hate that this fragrance gets in the fragrance community?? This is a good designer fragrance that will have you smelling nice all summer long. Is it ground breaking? No, is it unique? Yes! I have been wearing K since 2020 and it was gifted to me from my mother in law for my birthday and I have been wearing this fragrance ever since ❤️. The EDP is even better!! More rich and deeper in sent profile but yet still keeping the k dna. Inoffensive crowd pleasing signature worthy fragrance.

One of my favorite designers as I am a big fan of blood orange. Maybe even a favorite period. Started wearing this before I was really into fragrances and picked it back then specifically because I felt like it was unique, so I am baffled when people say it’s generic. Now that I am REALLY into fragrances, I still love it. Smells like Mediterranean luxury. Doesn’t come off synthetic to me. I like the edt more than any of the other l versions after sampling and wearing them all at least twice.

Un perfume muy distinto a los cítricos convencionales ,tiene un componente muy exquisito que da la sensación a igo verde ,no cambia su aroma cuando lo aplicas en la ropa como otros perfumes que terminan dejando un olor terroso muy desagradable ,este mantiene su escencia y puede durar mucho en ropa y después de un baño queda aún queda en piel ,proyecta las 4 primeras horas y queda a raz piel mucho tiempo ,es necesario reaplicar ,este perfume hace que te percibían limpio y jabonoso, exquisito.

Between the EDP & EDT ..my nose loves this one more (EDT) Juniper berries, citruses with less green feeling compare to EDP , a hint of sweetness in a good texture and the dry down there has a unique scent of cleanness which is what i found lovely I get compliment from ladies over this and not for channel allure Homme Sport or Light blue eau intense.. Ignore those negative reviews guys.. this is a very good stuff for people like me that care more about the scent and not about performance

This is a sparklingly rich, beautiful citrus scent with a very nice italian vibe! Great for all seasons, all occasions. I love this fragrance profile and the "K" is outstandingly "spectacular" in this genre. A little dill overtone really individualizes the Mediterranean vibe it exudes. For me the scent is 10/10 and I have no complaints about the other parameters. If you're looking for high quality and a very likeable summery, slightly aquatic fresh, spicy citrus scent, you've found it!

The opening smells of sweet citrus gummies and dries into a spicy shower gel vibe that stands on its own thanks to the pimento note 🌶️ I detect it a lot from the beginning and once the perfume dries on skin it gives the scent an earthy, savoury and spicy kick along with the patchouli 🥰 It's very sexy, fresh, masculine and projects well, it's very versatile and would work for any setting, signature worth too! This gives me ~boyfriend~ vibes for some reason lol 😜

It's a safe good smelling fragrance and the presentation is good in my opinion. Personally I got it from my grandpa after he died and yeah I wear it from time to time not other than that it's not like a day to day scent since I don't want to finish the bottle plus it's fairly expensive at around 75 euros for 50ml on discounters I mean for that price I'll buy 1 or 2 100ml fragrances from other houses like Lattafa or something it's just about keeping it real tbh.

Very underrated and hated fragrance. Very good for high heat scenarios without being the typical citrus scent. I enjoy the lavender in this very much. Yes it is nothing ground breaking but at the same time I cannot pinpoint another fragrance that smells like this one. Perhaps the only issue with it for me is that it would be a Summer only scent contrary to other blue fragrances like bleu de chanel, dylan blue or sauvage where you could pull them off in winter.
