Light Blue Love Is Love Pour Homme

I was expecting this fragrance to be way sweeter from what the reviews were saying. Don’t get me wrong I still love it, but it’s just not as sweet as I thought it would be. On my skin, its quite heavy on the citrus and the rosemary for most of the wear time, making it quite fresh, but kinda sweet & tangy, like a shower gel type of smell (which I do love). I don’t get the pleasant apple gelato and sweet vanilla smell until 2-3 hours later and even then it’s barely there because of its lasting power. It does get a bit more feminine around this time, which I don’t mind considering I wear a lot of feminine or unisex fragrances often. I find it to be a combination of fresh, green and sweet, which is actually a nice and pleasant combo. I bought this recently and have wore it every day since. This could be my main fragrance that I’ll use in the spring or summer when it’s too warm to wear a strong, sweet fragrance like the majority of my collection. I honestly do recommend this to anyone who loves a fresh but sweet (with a hint of green) fragrance. Try it before you buy it though, as I do see here some people do not like the smell of this.

Let me start by saying that I absolutely love this fragrance! I don't really understand why it has such a low score on here, but allow me to speculate... I assume everyone was expecting this to smell super different than the original Light Blue Forever, but instead found a very similar fragrance with just a small twist of sweetness. However, that small twist is just what I think the original Light Blue Forever needed. The apple note adds body and it's a great fruity touch that keeps the citruses from becoming too sharp. The vanilla in the back gives the fragrance a nice sweet quality and the ice cream note is very unique and pleasant. Sometimes I have problems with the duration of my fragrances, but this one surprised me and lasted around 6 good hours. It's not a feminine scent in any way, but it's not that masculine either. I would classify it as unisex, but leaning more to the masculine side. If you like fresh scents with a fruity twist for hot summer days, give it a try!

Forget the hate for this release... Light Blue Love Is Love 🍊🍦🍏 Lovely Fragrance: CLEAN, FRESH and Citrus. If Light Blue intense is a splash into a WAVING SALTY BEACH , LOVE IS LOVE is like been in the same place while walking around the sand having a Delicious CREAMY VANILLA ICE CREAM CONE. I also get a mouth watering SWEET JUICY FRUITY vibe in the dry out, so so pleasant and surprisingly it works perfect in the SUMMER season. Playful, joyful and excellent choice for any occasion any time since this scent is highly versatile. Rate: 🥇

Creamy Apples with Vanilla and Musk is all you need to know. Great sillage upon application but I can tell already the performance will be fleeting. Definitely one you need to overspray, but man is the sillage just gorgeous. Picture yourself holding a cup of Vanilla Gelato with a plate of freshly cut apples on the beach in Calabria. This scent is also unisex in my opinion, women can easily pull this off. Gourmand scent that can be worn in the summer. Be liberal with your application.

Well......a nice surprise. I really liked this "at first sniff". It for sure is the sweetest of the Light Blue line..IMHO. there is evidence in the original DNA...but this IS different. I am not too sure what the "ice cream' note is or isn't...lol. I get fruity/sweetness...but with some herbal aromatic vibes mixed in. It seems to last decently on my skin too.

Just bought it a week ago. Lovely fragrance and much more than I anticipated. Beautiful opening ! fresh but deep , young but doesn't smell cheap. A lots and lots of apple , caramel, I felt a bit of lilac, honey and ocean aqua. stays long enough to the end of working day. Once settles down , gets more masculine and a bit of wood and even amber. Love it!

The Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue line offers the most typically summery fresh scents there is. This one does not differ, it proposes a light blue that, perhaps closer to the women's version, is soft, powdery and delicious. I get a real lemon sorbet vibe from this one and since I bought it's one of my most worn fragrances in the summer.

Man, I love catching whiffs of the citrus and vanilla ice cream combo throughout the day when I’m wearing this. I see a lot of people knocking the performance. Sucks for them because it really works on my skin. In the high heat is when it amplifies and really shines. Love is Love...is love.

This is a great outdoor fragrance for the summer! On me it lasts a long time but never project too much which is great for my usage. Floral and sorbet super fresh and clean! It is very similar to the other light blue fragrances but closer to the one for women. Very unisex and very pleasant.

blind bought and have zero regrets!! ignore the hate from the frag comm you tubers, this stuff is great for summer daytime wear. Great for casual wear all the way up to a polo or Oxford. Decent longevity & projection and I thought getting a 50ml for $28 was a good value!

I loved the smell, usually sweeter scents are for the winter but in this fragrance pleasant and refreshing. I don't get why people don't like this, most reviews I've read are bias, comparing it to the light blue. you might be tempted to, DO NOT DRINK THE PERFUME!

Got this for about 30$ at a discounter, tried it on a summer and although it lasts decent, must say it smells fresh & creamy (from the ice cream note?). Worth the price, but for those who alr have the og LB don't bother looking for this

No body notice the similarities on sweetness between this fragance and Erba Pura? This fragance is just the acuatic, designer and toned down version of Erba Pura! Light blue intense and Erba Pura baby! That it!

Refreshing and sweet citrus ice-cream, gets some added depth once it mellows to amberwood and musk. Lasts around 4-6 hrs on the skin, works best in the summer heat, and is definitely unisex.

Call me crazy but this is the women's light blue eau intense juice with minor changes filled into the 2020 mens special edition. They just smell the same, I was shocked!

Sexy fruity icecream in summer

Another entry in the Light Blue line from Dolce & Gabbana. This one doesn't get as much hype as some of the others like Eau Intense or Forever, but it does pop up in review videos every once in a while. I blind bought this one after hearing some great reviews. Here's how it went; Scent: Opening is fruity, aromatic, and sweet. The primary notes I get are granny smith apple, mandarin orange, and rosemary. The strongest of the notes are the granny smith apple and mandarin orange for a juicy and sour fruit note, followed by the rosemary for aromatic and spicy tinge. The dry down is sweet, woody, and musky. The primary notes I get are vanilla, ice cream, amberwood, and musk. The strongest of the notes are the ice cream and vanilla that come across as a creamy vanilla, much like a scoop of vanilla ice cream. This is followed by the musk and amberwood for a powdery freshness and soft woodiness. Performance: Initial projection is strong at around 6 feet. Sillage is strong as well with an easily noticeable scent trail. After about 3 hours the projection was about arms length and the scent trail was moderately noticeable. At 5 hours the projection was within 12 inches and the scent trail was lightly noticeable. It became a skin scent shortly after that. When to wear: This is a spring/summer scent most suitable for daytime wear. I'd say it's a little too sweet for the office, but works great for a day out in the sun. Blind buy: This is a safe blind buy if you want a fruity and fresh scent with a sweet twist. Final verdict: I was impressed by how well they emulated the scent of vanilla ice cream. The notes worked together well to bring that to life. Overall it's a good summer scent. Nothing mind blowing, but different enough to stand out in a sea of Light Blue flankers. Keep in mind that it's discontinued so it may be a little difficult to find, but last I looked you could still find testers online under $40. Definitely worth the money at that price point. If your spring/summer lineup is getting a little boring and could use a refresh, this is a solid pick. Scent: 8/10 Longevity: 6/10 Sillage: 6/10

I like it, and I don’t like none of the fragrances in the light blue line. I wore light blue years ago but it was always ok I never liked it but women I was around did. Then the extreme version came out and smelled pretty much exactly the same as the original but stronger and better performance. I really didn’t like that one either. I’ve sampled a few flankers the worst in the line is light blue sun. It’s one of the worst fragrances I ever smelled. Then this one came along and the note breakdown made me feel I might like this one but I was scared to pull the trigger before I tested it. All the YouTube reviewers trashed it. Then coachrob619 gave a 1st impression on his instagram and said it wasn’t bad at all. He is the only YouTube reviewer opinion I can rely on. Then a friend of mine asked me have I smelled it and that it was nice. He asked me to order him a bottle. When I sold him the bottle I smelled it and it’s the best smelling light blue yet. Although light blue intense is the best performer.love is love is decent on performance it has a nice sweet and citrus opening with the ice cream accord in it. Once it gets to the mid you really smell the sweet creaminess over the top of the original light blue dna, and then it dries down to basically the original light blue with an added vanilla creaminess which is the ice cream note. Very nicely done nothing special but it works it’s alluring. More of a skin scent but longevity is 4-6 hours. Can be pretty versatile too. Light blue has always been pretty much casual grab and go but the sweet creaminess over the top of the light blue dna makes love is love a bit more versatile where u could dress up with this one. Doesn’t smell feminine like some of the reviewers say

Light Blue 'Love is Love' goes further than last year's 'Sun' in cutting down the city-destroying lemon nuke of the original. Much sweeter. Very much an 'ice cream' rendition of Light Blue. If you enjoy Light Blue, but find it too citrus-y, 'Love is Love' might work for you. It could be a very good entrance into the Light Blue line for a beginner. Two detractors, though: one, the sweetness overpowers the spice in the fragrance a little too much for my taste. A bit more kick of spicy could've really sent this flanker into a 'love' for me. Two (and this may seem shallow), the name, merciful God...THE NAME. Pander overload! Perhaps it's being a B in the LGBT, but that phony-baloney saccharine phrase sends cringe chills up my spine so hard, it nearly knocks me back into S territory. A severe misfire. The packaging and name are very down market and YES, that does often affect one's enjoyment of a scent. Light Blue 'Gelato' with a playful, sexy ice cream image would have been much more appropriate (especially considering D&G's brand new fruit line seems to fully embrace its 'food' image). 'Sun' had fantastic marketing/packaging, 'Love is Love' looks like they hired an intern to do the packaging and pick a generic name. Awful representation of the scent. Bottom line: A very good Light Blue flanker that could work for a beginner but falls prey to a bit of over-sweetness and is in no way helped by D&G's most pedestrian packaging in recent memory. If you just care about the scent, a mostly solid winner.

This is a copycat of YSL 'Y' EDP Like it! It retains the base of the original DNA of Light & Blue, then builds on it with the notes in the pyramid. There are no florals in this, and no spice. One of my top main daytime colognes, but very very sweet, and now im second guessing myself. So sweet i wouldn't want it for super hot days, and that's a cologne im trying to look for. Actually, i think this is a situation where i love the smell but not on me, so i think id rather have it on a girl im sexually involved with. After a full day of smelling this sweetness, it makes me feel kinda sick. Yikes! That's not a good sign for having it be a long-term use cologne. Poor projection, average longevity. Slightly intoxicating. Slept-on! But then again, it's a copycat of YSL 'Y' EDP. The 'Eau Intense' is Apple + Spicy Pepper. The 'Love Is Love' is Apple + Creamy Vanilla. Kinda pedestrian & juvenile tbh, and linear unevolving for a scent...No real frag head here will give this respect...lol It was love at first sniff, I was new to the frag game, like a fool i paid full price for TWO bottles $300, and when i got home and sprayed, i cloyingly hated it after an hour. This is one of the very few frags i own that is a huge purchase regret. 3/5 Woofs

Finally got to wear this again now that it’s summer and the right season for this genre. I really like this one a lot, the gelato actually works for me. It doesn’t last the whole time but that’s ok, that note shouldn’t go on for too long anyways. Dies down somewhat to the OG, but not strongly similar. Speaking of strong, the only thing I don’t like is that this is not a strong performer at all. It’s pretty safe to spray a bunch, given the notes being pretty light, but it’s not going to last long or project much after a couple hours. Either way, I still like it and got at TJ Max or something last year, so didn’t break the bank. *UPDATE: I re-wore this recently, and it performed way better than it did at first. I was able to smell it on my skin and clothes throughout most of my work day this time. Hmmmpft.

Ok people, it is not a feminine fragrance as others have described, unisex would describe this fragrance better. Citruses, aldehydes, slightly fizzy and a tad sweet musky vanilla aura to it. then, that sweetness fades gradually after the first hour. It does not last much, mediocre performance at best and not to mention that i have a really suitable skin type, meaning...(i rarely find issues with fragrance performance) yes i know you envy me right now. Shut up! i dont care. xD It is neither sweet nor a classic freshie. It is somewhere in between. Ideal for summer evenings. Does wonders because of its simplistic scent profile for a great price tag! I would recommend this as a beach scent of which i used on my last trip. 3.5/5

My big takeaway from LBLIL is the ice-creaminess in the middle, which emerges almost immediately as a top note. Even the citrus on the top, to my nose, is mild, tempered by the sweet creaminess, and not classically fresh and summery. For these reasons, I think this would make a great young persons' frag at any time of day, and even a good nighttime socializing frag for grown-ups. The creamy sweetness very much motors through at all times. Interestingly, because this isn't a freshie, performance is actually quite durable. You may want to supplement your sprays a bit later in the day but this frag by no means disappears the way many seasonal options do.

Blind purchased this despite the frag community's feelings toward this fragrance. Wearing it for the first time today and its honestly not as bad on my skin as some would make it out to be. Its bright, citrusy, sweet, creamy with a soft fresh spicy/herbal undertone. Applied around 8 sprays before leaving for work and got 2 unsolicited compliments 6 hrs into the wearing. This may be my go-to dumb reach for the rest of the summer. Pretty easy, inoffensive fragrance thats perfect for an office setting or just running errands. 8/10

Great for the spring/summer, get a lot of citrus with the gelato becoming more prominent as it dies down. Good projection that leaves a trail for about the first hour, but quickly dies down to an arms length so might have to spray a little more depending on your situation. Lasts a little under 6 hours on my skin. Overall a very inoffensive, safe scent that won't do anything too crazy which makes it great for casual wear or if you're looking for a dumb reach

Blind bought this and I really was let down the first few times I sprayed this. Fast forward almost a year later its spring here in South Africa, I am starting to enjoy this more and more, the citruses, apple, and pink pepper are great...the only let down to the scent is the so called ice cream note, they could have just sticked with vanilla. Not a good performer, but will work if you are a male looking for a softer and safe summer and spring scent.

Why so much hate for this? I really like this one! It's a pillowy sweet white-vanillic version of the original! While I do agree it doesn't last as long as most of the other light blue series, this scent profile is still really nice. Youthful, trendy, kinda young feeling....but still pleasant and just brings a smile to your face. I got a 4.2oz bottle for like $39 on a discount store....what's there not to like about this for that price?!?!

Today I tested LB Love is love in the local shop. I really enjoyed it, however I think this is very similar to Light Blue forever. On my skin the grapefruit note is prominent, later 1-3 hours becomes sweeter and not that raw grapfruit. Lasting is enough good in 26 celcius and the sillage is not bad either. I dont find it too masculine, more like an unisex frag, so I recommend to everyone :)

I recently bought a 125ml bottle, but the sillage and lasting were unacceptable. Sillage was very very close to the skin and lasts 1 hour. I know it's original 100 %, but only a bad (newer) batch. I noticed also the grapfruit note not was so prominent, rather sweet citrusy. I sent this juice back to the shop.

I read the reviews here before I decided to purchase this. It was an online buy so I didn’t know what to expect with the mixed comments that I read. Received my delivery today, broke the packing and sprayed it. Voila! I do not regret this buy at all, I simply love the notes. It really does freshen you up!

for me, i smell mainly fresh and low citrus a very tiny bit of vanilla, this works for more summer spring, and day. Atomizer is decent average, this is an overall 6.5 out of 10 in my opinion, average fragrance freshie.

I bought a full bottle of this with a good price, and what can I say it’s a solid summer fragrance with a little bit of sweetness. However, the performance is a bit underwhelming (just like other fresh fragrances)

On my skin fruity it's a fresh creamy citrus. The ice cream note is definitely a background character, to make the top and mid notes creamy. It's great dumb reach for sunny bright, hot and humid weather.

Just received a decant of this new “niche” house called Mes Bisous Out of Reach. They clearly copied the DNA of Love is Love in that fragrance. Ice cream accords mixed with marine and critrus.

This Light Blue Love Is Love is a real winner for summer! The citrus and apple notes are super refreshing, and the pink pepper adds a nice spicy kick. I get compliments on it all the time.

#39 review I got sample of that and in my opinion very unisex frag. It is sweet sweet and fresh but this sweatnees is something good. Performance moderate plus. My rate 8/10

I'm getting vague similarities to Guerlain Homme Ideal, without the smoothness and longevity. I will happily use it until gone but I doubt I will replace it.

This is my first review, but I felt strongly compelled. Unlike others here, I found this to be nothing like the description or other reviews. I was very excited for “vanilla ice cream” and “light,” but this fragrance to me smells like an old man who is trying to be young but not able to totally pull it off. If I was given ice-cream that smelled like this I’d throw it out for fear it was made with spoiled ingredients. I don’t know if it’s my body chemistry, but the sillage was huge for several hours, and it longevity wise it lasted for the entire day plus the next. This would have been welcome except that, contrary to the descriptions here of sweet/ice-cream, the vanilla, amber/wood, and pepper notes seemed to dominate, with almost no citrus/apple. It was not a bad scent, and I think many would like it if it was packaged in a different bottle with a different name, it is just not what I wanted- I was looking for something closer to The Dreamer but this is NOT even close. To me is very heavy, reminds me of my wife’s “Sensual Amber” from Bath and Bodyworks, but more musky/amber and less sweet, as if they were creating a masculine version of that scent. I also bought this in anticipation of a light/sweet scent with hopes of wearing during the day, but I don’t see myself ever wearing this during the hot summer days in the Southern U.S., as I imagine it would be suffocating. To me, oddly, it seems it would be suited to cool/cold seasons, more like the rich spiciness of a marshmallows over a fall fire, rather than summertime ice cream. Edit: on second and third try I have to say I’ve come around. Still not as light and vanilla as I’d expected but it’s definitely sweeter than I gave it credit for. Maybe the juice in the atomizer was off on first application? The amber note has calmed waaaay down, very unisex now if not bordering on feminine.

Eh, it's okay. I don't know how the original Light Blue pour Homme (LBPH) has more downvotes than upvotes, but LB LIL is almost like an "off" version of the original. If you never smelled LBPH, then this world be a nice addition for warm weather. But, for my money, the original is amazing and should be an easy purchase over this flanker.

Don't smell the ice cream note but this is a pretty nice fresh lighter scent for hotter days. Pretty safe blind buy if you're familiar with light blue already

Smells like lemongrass. Hints of ice cream. It's just ok in every subject. Good if you just wanna smell clean and light.

I had a sample of this, wore it twice and thought this smelled way more feminine than unisex. It worked a bit better on the first day as it was a hot spring day (~25°C+ in the sun), as it gives you a citrussy ice cream vibe, with a hint of vanilla. An ice cream you might enjoy on a hot summers day, but it is way to sweet for most men to pull it off in my opinion. Thanks to @topfflanze and @Betonikives by the way, after I read your comments I went to a female friend who actually has the Light Blue Eau Intense for women and except for the Amberwood punching through a bit stronger in my opinion (though it is settling rather quickly) they basically smell the same all the way through to me. In total it is very fruity sweet scent, so if you are into that it might be a nice summer scent. Performance is below average considering the rest of the Light Blue line-up. I got about 5 hours out of it with moderate projection, but considering I get about 8+ hours out of Light Blue Intense for Men, with slightly better projection, to me this is a definitive pass. But, if you or any female friend likes this fragrance, I think they should just look up pricing on both Eau Intense for women and Love is Love for men and go for the cheaper one. No one except perhaps perfumers and people who are really into fragrances will smell a difference between them. And judging from my friends comments longevity and projection are pretty similar on both as well.

I bought this for a very fair price, boy, I'm still disappointed :( First of all, this smells like a female fragrance. Not a unisex, but a straightforward female scent. The opening extremely reminds me of Cerrutti's Image Harmony, which I own but rarely use because of the very feminine scent. Maybe it's the "ice cream" note? I don't know. It doesn't remind me of a cold or a melting ice cream either. It just smells feminine and a bit chemical too. (Btw, my bottle is definitely authentic and not off.) Maybe they poured a feminine version into the male bottle by mistake?

I wanted to test the new light blue flanker, but it has not reached the local fragrance stores yet, so instead the sales assistant gave me this one to try. The opening is ok, but the development..nahh. I second what Endymion said, this is a clearly feminine scent, nothing masculine about it whatsoever. And a very mediocre one, the vanilla sweet story we all are familiar with. This is sweet, not fresh. This experience made me lose the interest I had in trying the new one. Pity. 5/10

OMG, the amberwood in this is HIDEOUS! Maybe I'm overly sensitive to that aromachemical, but in here, it made me retch! If not for that ghastly chemical, this would actually be a pleasant no-brainer summer fragrance. Why are perfumers putting that dreck in fragrances these days? I can smell it instantly and it's such a turn-off... >.

Big disappointment. I was hoping to make the comparison to light blue Intense for women but it wasn’t similar enough. Instead I got a lot of that creamy feel. Almost more feminine than light blue Intense for women.

Offensively boring. If you have another light blue, or citrus fragrance of any kind, this is nothing worth getting a hold of. The ice cream note is really nothing special. Clean, citrusy and a little sweet. 3/10
