Light Blue pour Homme

This is a fresh, zingy, citrus, aquatic fragrance with great quality, strong likability, and clear mass appeal. Light Blue Pour Homme is ideal for spring and summer, with a bright, lively, and uplifting character. As a Brazilian, this is one of the fragrances I keep in my home country to use whenever I go back, especially in warm weather. For many years, Acqua di Giò was a signature scent for me and my number one choice. I was very used to its aquatic approach, and when I first received Light Blue as a gift, I was not so impressed. It did not smell as natural as I expected, and it took me a while to appreciate it. Over time, though, Light Blue grew on me. Its freshness and bright spirit became more appealing, and nowadays I find myself using it more than Acqua di Giò. Its lively, uplifting character and strong mass appeal make it a fragrance I enjoy returning to, especially in warm weather. It has also become tied to dear memories of visiting my home country. I have received compliments from a distance as well. At home, family members would comment on the fragrance even before getting close, like after I got out of the shower and sprayed it. I also remember family gatherings where, while greeting relatives and cousins, more than one person complimented the scent, showing that it projects well and leaves a pleasant trail in hot weather. At this point, it feels like a classic: a scent profile that works perfectly for sunny days and warm seasons.

A lovely perfume that I first got acquainted with through my husband, I instantly adored it on him & it became one of my favourites male perfumes along with "stronger with you" and "bleu de chanel". However at one of my orders from a cosmetic boutique, I got a sample of Light Blue pour femme, or so I thought...because it was actually pour homme. Me & my husband ended up wearing it at the same time in one of our vacations, not knowing it was the same perfume because it smelled completly different on us. A few months after the events I wanted to buy light blue pour femme and smell it again in the store but the scent was completly different and I didn't know why, I went home thinking that it was reformulated. One day I was bored of my perfumes and sprayed my husband's bottle of light blue...then I realized. It came as a complete shock for both of us since again, the pH of our skins makes this scent so different. This perfume is a truly unisex prize...and a really qualitative one. It smells crystalline, airy & immersive as it transfers me to that vacation in the greek islands, it smells exactly like a sunny day in Mykonos.

Love, love, love this citrusy, flirty, clean scent. Decent projection, doesn't last too long due to it being a citrus fragrance. Some may say it's boring because the notes don't develop, but I love that what I smell upon the opening is what I get - nice and dependable. Inoffensive albeit generic, perfect for most settings, but also flirtatious, surprisingly fitting for evening dates in the warmer months. The ad campaign for this fragrance captured its essence perfectly. This was my first proper, full-bottle fragrance, I wore it throughout college and early adulthood. There's a slight sweetness that makes it smell like a citrus soda, and it works well on my skin. After finishing a bottle, I thought I would graduate onto something more sophisticated, but nothing delivers hot summer quite like this fragrance. Easily repurchased on discount.

I grew up on the East Coast of Florida. I used to live next to an orange grove and a Tropicana orange juice plant. On early mornings when the wind was blowing the right way you could smell the scent of oranges in the air. It's a smell that I associate so strongly with my childhood. I smelled this on one of my coworkers yesterday and stopped dead in my tracks and asked him what he was wearing, because it just brought me back to that distinct moment in time. I immediately went out and bought it today. It's been over 20 years, and those orange groves are gone now, along with the Tropicana plant, lost to hurricanes, disease, and sprawling suburbia. But I'm sitting here in my car, smelling my wrist, and for a moment it's coming back to me.
