Light Blue Pour Homme Eau de Toilette

One of the most straightforward, pleasant, summery scents on the market. While light blue wasn't one of my first colognes, I came back around to it after sampling a plethora of "niche" scents - and it made me appreciate it far more. Despite being so simple, it has the perfect amount of this creamy citrus garden-esque glaze that keeps me sniffing myself throughout the day. I am a big non fan of shower gel fragrances (I really disliked Percival), yet light blue teeters away from that profile just enough somehow. I assume its the patchouli, but Light Blue smells like a sweet summer breeze more than it does a synthetic shower product. It's like a backyard garden on the coast. I can't speak for the past formula's since I only ever had samples, but they smell very similar as far as my nose is concerned. The longevity and sillage is top 4 in my collection, and second best from my freshies apart from my MFK.

It reminds me of a clean, crisp white linen shirt by the sea along the Great Ocean Road. The scent is incredibly clean and refreshing. I used D&G Light Blue Living Stromboli about 10 years ago, this has a similar vibe, but feels more mature and refined. It’s a very simple fragrance, and my wife absolutely loves it. On my skin, it lasts around 6 hours, and on clothes it can go up to 8 hours, sometimes even 12 hours if the weather cooperates (I’m from Malaysia, so it’s usually hot and humid here). The performance can be a bit unpredictable, but somehow it just works. Wearing it makes me feel clean, calm, and confident. I’m pretty sure you won’t offend anyone even if you overspray, so don’t be shy, spray generously to help it last longer. I really enjoy this salty marine DNA, so I’ll definitely keep repurchasing it or exploring more from the ADG lineup.

I can't compare it to the OG (I've only ever sampled this in store once of twice over the years) but what I can say is I don't remember enjoying the OG as much as this, but this could be a placebo effect. Surprisingly long lasting (sprayed it before bed and could smell it the next morning.) Not sure about projection yet but think it might sit very close to the skin. If my memory is correct I'd say this is more green and aromatic, and less aquatic than the original. It isn't too far off the Eau Intense but I unfortunately got the egg smell from that one. This has none of that. Very easy to like and I got 200ml for £55 which was a no brainer. Easy dumb reach for the summer and subtle enough for the office etc. I'd need to sample the OG again side by side to be sure.

My first impression upon trying this was "this is like acqua di gio, but better" imagine my shock when I see the same perfumer created both. Smells like fancy hotel lobby lemon water. Throw in some rosemary and patchouli and what more do you really need? This is a perfect daily scent for warm weather, its pretty inoffensive, really fresh, masculine and sexy yet reserved enough for daily office/school use. And women absolutely LOVE it which kind of surprises me, because I love it as well but women seem to have a crazy reaction to this scent. It doesn't last very long and sits fairly close to the skin - I picked up a 50ml for an absolute steal and I have a feeling it won't survive the summer.

Just bought this for like 59.99$ a local TJ Maxx. Honestly, the scent is gorgeous. It is already 80° F in Alabama, I am about to clear this bottle before Summer even hits. This baby is sooo easy to wear. I can shower in this stuff and not be bothered at all. It doesn't smell like the ocean, but it smells like the sea breeze. It smells like beach air. So refreshing. This is an Alberto Morillas composition, one of the Kings of Fresh fragrances. He is responsible for some of the most iconic freshies of Modern perfumery- Versace Pour Homme, Dylan Blue, D&G light blue, Aqua Di Gio, Ck One, etc., I think this is a must have considering it can be found discounted at Rack Room stores.

I do remember being infatuated with this scent many years ago but never owned a bottle; it was just a shopping mall buddy that I'd visit and say hi to every time I went. Finally, pulled the trigger on a new bottle. First, love the new bottle. Much more clean and streamlined. Was never a fan of the OG bottle cap. I was glad when the cap changed with the Forever/Italian Love and this one is equally great. Scent wise, it is such an easy wear. Fresh, zesty opening, smooth dry down with slight sweetness. Super non offensive. It really is a grab-N-go type of scent that can work year round, shining best in spring and summer. Very comfortable scent. Highly recommended.

Ok, D&G Light Blue 2025 reformulation... I love it. I wonder if a lot of reviews are based off the original formulation, based on the performance aspect. Comparatively, this version out performs the original by about 20%. It’s not a beast, but it does last longer. The deal with light blue is: it’s not what you catch smelling off your skin, the true magic is the subtle sillage. Whatever you’ve become used to smelling is not what a random passer-by catches off of you. Until you smell it off someone else, and you’re caught off-guard like “wtf is that, I need to know” and you find out THAT is what light blue smells like... you just don’t know.

This has become my favorite reach for a summer office fragrance, it’s inoffensive and had compliments for coworkers when they passed by me. To me it’s more of a green fragrance I do get the rosemary notes which I really like. Very linear profile that lasts 2-3h, I do carry a decant of it to reapply as needed. I have not had the chance to smell the original but I did try Light Blue Intense. I could not tell them appart as far as the scent profile. Since it’s mass produced, you can easily find it at discounters for way less than suggested retail.

A scorching summer day. You step out into the garden of your Italian seaside stone house. You pick a ripe lemon, then run your hand through a rosemary bush. As you walk towards the town along the coast, shaded by trees, a breeze blows, carrying salt in the air... A fresh opening, an aromatic, then salty, marine heart, blending into a soft woody drydown. Elegant, modern, clean, alluring, crowd-pleasing, easy-to-wear, and blind-buy safe. A fragrance that every man should have in his summer rotation. Do not mistake a classic for generic. 8.5/10

8 Sprays at Septoria. Feels a little more smoothed out on the opening than the original. I also noticed more of a sparkling feel in the first hour vs the OG. . Dry down seems similar. Not enough difference to warrant a purchase for me at retail. But if I see this for $45 in 1-2 years on the grey market, I'll defiantly pick it up. I like when the new vs old version comes out in different sizes. I'll wait until I see Light Blue in a 100mm bottle. 8.5/10 but redundant to owners of the OG.

The bottle looks so cute like a pebble i loved it, the scent is a salty fresh one which i loved too, imagine you are near a sea and theres wind breezing from the rosemary flowers and you just put them all into a bottle with some lemon and you got it. Safe choice imo, a salty fragrance done right. I haven't smelled the original (although maybe in passing), so this is just based on the new reformulation, It reminds me of a more playful and slightly fruiter version of versace pour homme. Very pleasant and inoffensive; something to enjoy in spring/summer. Versatile (warmer months) and casual, you will smell clean and approachable. I give it a 4.25.

Another italian hit, smells like a small harbor town, close to a lemon plantation with the salty breeze hitting your nose and the dried rosemary hanging on windows. Is it somewhat familiar, yeah a lot - but dawg, everyone should own a bottle of this to grab once in a while. Crowd pleaser, easy compliments, smell like clean soapy italian summer.

I don't know why this fragrance dosn't have listed marine notes. I smell a very salty marine scent and I love it. For me it evokes a tropical or mediterranean beach feel. I find it similar to acqua di gio edt but specially to Bvlgari Aqva pour hommme, but without the seaweed note. It's also very musky and has great performance.

I really love this scent, I've had it roughly for a week and I just get a smile every time I wear this scent and I think that's a pretty clear sign haha. But I think the lemon really keeps it fresh and it tails off with such a clean and fresh nonchalant feel. Reminds me of walks along the boardwalk looking at the ocean.

The top notes of this perfume are citrus, very refreshing, with an overall slightly formal scent. The base notes have a touch of woody notes, making the overall impression excellent. However, considering it's a light and refreshing perfume, its longevity is only average for the market, which is debatable.5-7hrs

i always felt like the eau intense was better anyways, and i feel like this captures what that one did well. I think this is an upgrade and I’m glad dolce and gabbana are taking the production back into their own hands (a third party has been making light blue for a long time now)

Does anybody else get the similarities to the ysl y line (specifically the edp version) or is it just me?? I smelled it today and it smells amazing, i totally reccomend it to anyone wanting a fresh aquatic fragrance this summer or just wants to smell clean.

The best of the bests summer fragrances. Its a shame it’s getting discontinued. Why would someone do that with such a classic piece. Smells so good, and last quite a while for a freshie, projection is good as well and very gentlemanly not loud.

Such a pleasant smell! Bought it yesterday, wore it today (still pretty cold) and received two compliments. One of them was a literal eyes roll (in a good way) from a friend (f) questioning what the name of the fragrance was.

There is something fruity in this. Wife says it smells like watermelon. Obviously more to this fragrance than the 3 notes listed in the fragrance pyramid. Either way, this is one of the best smells ever.

You generally don't want too much on hot days. Too sweet = cloying. Too dark/spicy = stinky. Too animalic = heinous. This one is just right. A great minimalistic summertime fragrance.

Best marine fragrance I've smelled to date. It reminds me of the fjords. Phenomenal, Mr. Morillas. Don't reformulate this, you've done it right with the 2025-version.

Simply a beautiful smell. Summer banger if you ask me. Sexy citrusy, rosemary and little bit woody. Can’t go wrong with this one. Safe blind buy IMO.

They should have named this "light green" or something. It is more of a green fragrance- herbal, aromatic, and woody.

This is excellent for what it is. This is the best fragrace release of 2025. Incredible longevity.

As a packaging designer, I'll start with the design. The bottle is simple yet elegant. The frosted glass, light blue juice, and soft blue cap immediately give you that fresh summer feeling. The outer box, finished in light blue with a velvet textured effect and silver typography, feels premium and is exactly what you'd expect from a brand like Dolce & Gabbana. As for the fragrance, it's fresh, clean, and very easy to like. It reminds me a bit of Acqua di Giò by Armani, but it's less citrusy and slightly sweeter, with a noticeable rosemary note. It's not a complex fragrance that evolves a lot throughout the day, and that's not necessarily a bad thing. It's straightforward and easy to understand, unlike something more artistic or challenging like Megamare. BUUUUT... the performance is honestly disappointing. It's very weak. On my skin, I need to reapply it two or even three times a day if I want to keep smelling it. The scent itself is beautiful, but the longevity is definitely its biggest weakness.

Im 3 days now testing this fragance and i love the opening very citrus and minty or gingerish in a way and after some minutes change to a pure herbal scent somehow similar to encre noire sport dna but 80% more weaker in a perspective of more mass appealing more friendly and wearable for young guys this can be like a everyday use perfume for quick tasks like going to the mall the GYM maybe a quick meeting even just for being home after shower and going to sleep. The sillage is very moderate almost intimate and the longevity is nothing crazy as expected to be a EDT but the smell is so rich and good that is totally worth it to have for when you want something particularly for you not the people around if that make sense. Its my first Dolce and gabanna frangance and i can say i get why some people call this the king of summer hope in the future they can make something similar but with a little bit more of projection and longevity other than that is a great aroma

Light Blue Pour Homme (2025) is a citrusy, marine, and aromatic fragrance. The scent of this rebottled fragrance is very similar to the previous version. It retains the marine and salty DNA, as well as the opening citrus and a woody, aromatic base of Mediterranean herbs that have been very popular since its first release. Honestly, I find very few changes; perhaps the opening citrus is less sparkling and the marine notes have intensified, but the scent is still very similar. Even now that I've been using Summer Vibes, I find a lot of similarity between the two, so if you're already familiar with the original or the Eau Intense, you'll have an idea of its scent. As for longevity, it lasted between 6 or 7 hours on me, with a regular to low sillage. The new bottle has given it a modern twist, and is ideal for use during spring and summer, on the beach, and for casual outings, so if you have the chance to try it, go for it.

Such a nice scent, didn’t want something overly complex or strong. I wanted something I could wear anytime, anywhere. This is great for the hot weather and as a signature scent. I bought the biggest bottle at a great price, which is a plus. Citrusy aquatic smell that smells great. Yeah, it will not blow your mind, but if you want something that is perfect for school, work, and the gym, this is great. I find some fragrances get too strong on my skin indoors, but this doesn't. I'm not afraid to wear it to school since it is not strong, but it still gives off a nice scent bubble. After they changed the bottle, I was intrigued to buy it since I heard they made it a little sweeter than the OG, but it still smells pretty much the same.

It is like the original Light Blue, but mixed with a bit of Acqua di Gio, and the fleeting performance of both lol. With that being said, the price on this at discounters is fire, and the actual smell is great and very, very approachable; therefore, you can spray this fragrance as much as you want, and in 30 minutes, it will be impossible to offend anyone who smells it on you. Spectacular, inoffensive, safe-for-work summertime fragrance for men. Not to be confused with the new EDP, which smells more like a YSL Y or Born in Roma fragrance, with that synthetic new age "sweet but fresh" sweetness that you don't find in normal fresh or sweet fragrances.

D&G, since it's been doing their fragrances, increased in quality. The lattest Devotion pour homme is an example of a beautiful creation that is kinda avantgarde with not many fans unfortunately. The K line has now a better sprayer and a better quality cap too. The EDP Intense and Parfum are really nice although not as popular as the older ones. They seem to care more about their releases but, i have to say, this new bottle of Light Blue is not better than the classic one. It's simpler and more minimalistic than the former one. Maybe, in hand, it would be better. But i dont like it here in pictures.

Tested this today, It really did not last long at all and was a feint smell not very long lasting but it is an EDT. I'd say it lasted around 2-3 hours max but didn't have much of a push either. I could have gone nose blind potentially too as I only tested from a sample in store. Smells fresh and smooth like you're at the beach the mixture of everything that a beach with plants has to offer made in a perfume that smells pleasant. Out of 10 : Smell: 6,5 or 7 Longevity: 2.5 Projection 2.5 I will try again and sample it via store and update if anything changes.

Notes as listed the citrus and the rosemary. Missing the grapefruit, vanilla musk and slight marine cypress notes, there’s also a touch of white florals. I don’t get any patchouli. Summer scent. Any age. Unisex. Fresh. Marine. Good performance. 8/10.

A very likable scent with weak performance. Fortunately, it is available on Jomas for $65/200 ml which is pretty reasonable and allows for more frequent application. I think this is a good value at that price.

People still haven't discovered my secret, so i'll just give it away. Layer this with versace pour homme. You're welcome Edit - or if you're brave enough and want better performance, layer with megamare

Understated, sexy, and nonchalant. Need I say more?

Let me start with what this fragrance gets right, because it genuinely gets some things very right. The opening is fantastic. The moment you spray it, you get this burst of natural, vibrant citrus that immediately transports you somewhere specific — the Amalfi Coast at golden hour, drink in hand, good company around you, the Mediterranean stretching out in front of you. It's one of those rare fragrances that doesn't just smell good, it conjures a mood. Cool, breezy, effortlessly summery. For about 30 minutes, it's everything a warm-weather fragrance should be. And then it's gone. I understand that summer fragrances are intentionally light — nobody wants a projection monster in 90 degree heat. But even by summer fragrance standards, Light Blue's performance is poor. I stepped outside, came back in, and couldn't detect a trace of it on myself. No gentle drydown, no quiet skin scent lingering in the background — nothing. Thirty minutes and it's done. That's not "light and breezy," that's barely there at all. To be fair, skin chemistry plays a role here. Some people burn through citrus-aquatic constructions faster than others, and if you're one of them, no amount of strategic application is going to save Light Blue. It's just not built with enough of a base to anchor it on skin like mine. The silver lining? It makes an outstanding linen refresher. Spritz it on your sheets or pillowcase and that Mediterranean vibe lingers beautifully — fabric is far more forgiving than skin for this kind of fragrance. So the sample won't go to waste. But as a wearable fragrance, if your skin eats through top-heavy constructions quickly, look elsewhere for your summer scent. The opening will seduce you every time — just don't let it make the buying decision for you. **Bottom line:** Smells incredible for the first half hour. Then it's a ghost. Even for a summer fragrance, the performance just isn't there.

Testing this and the OG today only over a few hours. Since I found out the OG was discontinued, I wanted to get one and figured I should compare them both incase the new one is better... It's not. This one is definitely not as bright. I think the green notes overtake the citrus. It does not feel stronger. After a few hours, the OG still feels like a unique scent. It is well-blended. I can still detect the bright citrus. The new one just smells like another green patchouli fragrance. I also do not like the rosemary that is used it in. Close to the skin, I think it smells kind of weird. Maybe because the citrus is weaker in the new one. The new one also lacks any spiciness. I know a one time skin test (3 sprays same spot) isn't very reliable, but my initial thought is to buy an old OG bottle if you want it in your collection. The new one is mediocre at best. There are so many other great summer fragrances out there. Why would you wear this over something like Dior Homme Sport? The new one doesn't give me that sunny beach vibe that I am getting with the original. :: End of the day update. I went swimming about 4 hours in. In the water for about an hour and high heat the rest of the day. I easily could detect the OG still on my arm. Not so much sillage, but most of the scent profile was there. The new one was not detectable. Hard pass for me.

Have a sample of the original which I loved, but it has recently gone off a little and now smells way too similar to a cleaning product of some sort. Got a sample of the new one and smells pretty similar on me (compared to the old one) I love the drydown, turns very feminine on me, but it does not smell like women's perfume if you get what I mean. I do think it has to do with my skin chemistry because I have had other similar scents turn this way on me. It is very unisex in my eyes and I really like it. Wear it for old times sake.

Bought it coz of the advertisement hype---tried on first day, to may dismay found the scent too weak I thought I have some rhinitis attack as I was not able to smell the fragrance notes...and on second day, I've proven that the smell lasts only for few minutes, total waste of money.

For me, this feels like a downgrade from the previous Light Blue Pour Homme. It's toned down in scent profile, projection, and longevity. It's more crowd pleasing than the original and less memorable. The bottle is nice though.

Below my expectations. It's a fresh scent but with a dominant woody aroma for some reason. I could wear this as a no brainer if I dont have any plans for the day but this one falls behind when I have better no brainers.

Its a simple scent but nice and clean. Unfortunately its piss weak in performance. Not worth purchasing because its too weak.
