Velvet Bergamot

Beautiful fresh fragrance, nothing groundbreaking but really really crisp and clean. Perfect summer evening open shirt kind of a scent. Sophisticated freshness in a bottle. Its expensive for what it is, but the longevity of this fragrance is epic!

Class in a bottle. If this was in a Creed bottle people would be raving about it. Yes the price is high, but if you're patient, you can pick one up for a decent price on ebay.

This really is a fine velvety bergamot. Almost slightly powdery in the velvety-ness

The first word that pops into my mind when I smell this is "Quality." This stuff gives a "wow factor" to me. I usually don't like scents like these but man is it great. A delicious relaxed green/grassy bergamot. Not much more than that, but I don't care. I am truly not one for linear scents, but if its this good, so-be it! The longevity seems to be decent. Actually, better than I thought it would be. The sillage is tight. Tight as it close to the skin. I actually think this helps the fragrance. I just picture someone walking by and barely, just barely getting a whiff of it, and suddenly stopping to turn around to get more.... I think this gives people a tease until they want more - and trust me, they will want more! I want to douse myself in this. Scent: 9/10 (I can't give a linear scent a full 10, although vetiver peeps through on the dry down) Longevity: 7/10 Sillage: 5/10 Overall: Pretty pricey for a 50ml. But it is DAMN GOOD. Hmmmmm, might have to think about purchasing for the most special occasions. EDIT*****: I just received my bottle in the mail. The box it comes in is super cool. It really makes it look like a one-of-a-kind fragrance that you should dare only reach for certain special occasions. The scent is Grade-A phenomenal. Call me crazy, but it reminds me of fruity pebbles cereal...in a good way. If you like citrus scents, but not sweet or in your face, you MUST try this.

Velvet Bergamot is a very fitting name with this one, is it not a crisp bergamot it is a sweeter and softer bergamot in a vetiver envelope also softened with a decent amount of petitgrain giving a little orangey touch too. Was kind of hoping for a Xerjoff Nio substitute for less $$$ but they are quite different. Nio is far better but I do like this one. I would say it is somewhat unique, the softness separates it out from a lot of other citrus frags in the market. This is as perfect an office scent or casual extension of your own skin for spring and summer months as I think you can get. I can also see why some people below mention this could be a Creed fragrance, it does have an understated quality like some of the less famous Creed citrus scents have like Neroli Sauvage or Royal Water for example. I do not think there is anyone who would actively dislike this fragrance so its a safe buy in terms of scent and it won’t choke out anyone surrounding you, and I see how some could love it but I am not one of them, I just like it. Just to note I also have the Vetiver from this line. It has a similar soft tone and I slightly prefer that one it is a little more interesting with its use of fig.

I tried to enjoy it but was left with a very weak scent and a big headache.

I’ve had this one for a while and just getting around to reviewing. The opening drips with juicy, clean, green and classy citrus. Only a faint bit of tartness. Never fails to evoke a ‘damn, that smells amazing’ from my lips. Simply my favorite opening of all the scents in my collection. As mentioned below, it is quite linear without much evolution (except for a trace of soft woods)...but with top notes this magnificent, that’s a GOOD thing, especially for those of you who decry fragrances that have great openings, but then morph into less desirable notes. I get 2-3 hours of refined sillage. Not inexpensive but definitely niche quality, right down to the amazing velvet box it comes in. I put it up there with the Zegna Essenze scents I’m a fan of.

Featuring well known green and citrus notes from the beginning to the end of its presentation, Velvet Bergamot shouldn't call anybody's attention. But it does. This one could easily be a Creed, due to the natural and traditional vibe it has. Rather than for a boy, I think this one fits a gentleman. When generously applyed, specially in hot weather, it diffuses well enough (4-5h) to build a cloud of scent around you, and a very praised one. Longevity is about 10h. Velvet Bergamot is not an innovation, but is surely one of the best in its genre.

On my 2nd day wearing this... for me, It's eh. Not that its a bad fragrance, but the smell of it, has this wetland green feel to it. I see a lot below me favor it, good on them, but as someone who has D&G Velvet Vetiver and loves that one, you can see where I'm coming from. I have a sample of this and i'll leave it at that. Again, not bad, just nothing worthy for me to buy again. Sample before buying.

It reminds me of a nice old soap. Pleasant fragrance could be worn by men or women. Did not stay strong for more than a few hours.

I got a sample,and it is written 'POUR FEMME' there. But scent is rather for men,I think,and Fragrantica is written 'for MEN'.

A pleasant, subtle, linear, nondescript bergamot. Use it up and you forget you ever had it.

A clean and linear bergamot cologne. There's nothing velvet about it.
