Lavande

Omg I love this! Again not a lavender person, this was an add on sample. But it's absolutely gorgeous. Soft, musky, almost powdery, a little green, and JUST enough lavender that makes it aromatic in a light, fluffy way, the way a cupcake might be lavender flavour and not more. Just a light whisper of it. No sure where the incense is here, I will retest it I do think it gives it a balsamic beat in the background. I'm really impressed with this Domaine Prive line, all three, Lavande, Rose and Cedrat have been gorgeous, soft, creamy, musky and feminine. Smells like toasted lavender marshmallows. Even similar to a dragee, but without the almond, instead a nice soft lavender. Edit: Second testing - definitely smelling the incense! Especially in the opening. A balsamic lavender. Gorgeous!

To the sound of Prince (Automatic): A-R-O-matic, I'm so in love with you! Literally like a summer cloud of lavender- light, fluffy- even tho Lavender is the leader, it is not so pronounced like in other fragrances. I barely get incense - wish i got more incense but overall a spectacular fragrance especially if u love LAVANDE. I adore the bottle too, very simplistic but elegant. I believe a cherub would wear this fragrance.

This is going to sound weird but it kinda smells like angel share and or sugar leather with a dusting of a dark lavender over top. Has a fluffiness from the depth of the base and an airiness from the powdery yet dark lavender top. It’s a like for me. The bottle is gorgeous!

It’s strange: I should love this perfume. Lavender (particularly French Lavender) is among my favorite flowers, I will sniff every salvia or Russian sage plant I see in the wild, in hopes that it’s the rare Lavandula flower that doesn’t typically grow in my region. The Avalon Organics lavender-scented products were a favorite when I was a child. I love the use of lavender in sweet vanilla fragrances like Mon Guerlain and Burberry Goddess, and have been on the hunt for a pure (as in, no added vanilla and sweetness), non-barbershop lavender fragrance. This seems to be it. It’s pure, botanical lavender with the slightest hint of something “darker” to ground it and make it a perfume for scenting humans rather than for scenting rooms. But for whatever reason that I can’t quite put my finger on, it does not pull at my heartstrings. Seeing as I was looking for a pure lavender “perfume-y” perfume and that’s exactly what I got, l’ve concluded that I can live without a soliflore lavender fragrance, after all. That’s my personal experience, but if you love lavender as I do, then I think Lavande is still worth a try.
