Cashmere Mist Essence

This is stunning, to my nose. It's so unique! It starts off with a very leathery tone. I mean, wow, leather.The sandalwood is pure sandalwood, the amber mixes in perfectly. This is like a smooth, amber colored liquor sitting inside of a amber tinted scotch glass, on a real wood table, next to a very expensive, worn in brown leather office chair... Very sensual and sexy and mature. Not for a teeny bopper or teeny bopper "frame of mind". Splendid. Well done. I love it! This is my second Donna Karan perfume blind buy recently, and I'm totally impressed and surprised by both.

This is pretty. It’s soft, subtle, earthy. I smell a hint of the original, but I prefer the original in all it’s cozy loveliness.

I honestly believed I needed this, until I tried it. This, to me, is similar to Prada Candy. Prada Candy with jasmin and oud. The link with the original Cashmere Mist is tenuous, it is closer to the edp for sure. The musk - but not as much of it. The sandalwood and the musk. Mmm... I always rely on my best friend as a source of wonder when it comes to his unique perception of my scents. Here he finds a musky watermelon. Yeah. Haha, OK. Watermelon..? (?!) As somebody who generally dislikes anything along the lines of oud, while oud is not mentioned here it's mainly what I can smell and it's this distinct combination of the oud, jasmine and amber. Maybe even, well at least to my nose, Thierry Mugler's Alien Oud Majestueux is a similar, though stronger scent along the lines of this one. So, anybody who has a craving for a more oriental version of Prada Candy without the strength of an Alien - look no further. This is not bad, by any means. It smells really good for what it is. I just expected more. Cashmere Mist is one of my favorite, signature, scents. (I don't really link this to Samsara. I'm obsessed with Samsara and for me there is not much of a connection here. Where is that coming from? I mean, sure, the Cashmere Mist scents contain sandalwood, musk and jasmine. So does that. That's where it ends though, ain't it? Nothing to write home about. ✍️)

I love this. I’ve been wearing it about 2 weeks now. I love this in a way that it blends into my skin and could become a signature scent. There’s a strangeness to it when I first spray it but then the amber develops more strongly. It sits pretty close to me but I’m not sure I’d call it a skin scent. The Jasmine in this smells sweet. This is a simple perfume to me but warm and earthy. Like an updated hippie/mom vibe. Currently wearing it to bed. I think it will develop even more in the warmer months. I can definitely see wearing this with minimal makeup, and a sundress this summer!

They're making so few true musks these days and here I am, trying to find a more affordable version of Royal Muska. This seemed to satisfy in the store...its like a baby powder bomb. But as I explored a wider range of powdery perfumes, this one started to fall out of favor. I think the problem is, its very animalic on me, like something loud from the 80's. Sometimes it makes me sneeze. I'll keep trying ways to make this work because it's really up my alley. In a wasteland of sugary perfumes, I appreciate the Cashmere line.

in all honesty, i thought i had bought a purse spray of cashmere mist to try and accidentally bought this. i've never tried either one. this is pleasant from the beginning, and reminds me a bit of victoria's secret cashmere vanilla jasmine, but without vanilla, and amber instead, however it's still quite similar. one of these days i need to try them at the same time but they definitely remind me of each other. a soft cozy warm scent, perfect for anytime of year really but probably best in fall.

powdery, floral scent i tend to use as a base layer when layering perfumes. by itself, this scent is a little too mature for me, but i'll usually put a fruity or sweet scent over this one and it smells great together! i always get compliments when i use it with pistachio glaze from b&bb or strawberry pound cake. i would give it a 6/10 by itself, but a 7.5/10 layerd.

I remember liking this quite a bit when I was younger. Now, it's a bit too white floral for me. As the floral settles out, the warmer notes help this fragrance feel well-rounded.

I lucked out and purchased a 50ml at Shoppers drug mart for $20. it's a beautiful vanilla /amber scent, a bit on the strong side, but pleasent

nothing like the bitter chypre original; sandalwood, vanilla and some light florals; pretty, average and mainstream

i like this but its wayy to mature for me. its a compliment getter but i dont like it thatt much. its nice and pleasant but just too strong and straightforward, it smells like only one note with no layers or depth to it. idk what that note is but it smells like leather ig? like a flower with leather petals. it lasts REALLY long for me, but i don't wear it as much. overall, it is good if you like strong perfumes and you are over the age of 30.

Got a sample of this when I purchased a full bottle of another fragrance and I’m not much of a fan. It’s too woody and only has a faint hint of amber. All I smell is wood and some overly sweet note. It’s also very cloying because I tried washing it off about three times and can’t seem to get rid of the scent. So at least it has longevity. Perhaps this will work better for someone else.

Oh god. I’m pretty open minded but I just can’t with this. It’s really headache inducing and pungent.

no. just no. this smells like musk and sweat.. like imagine someone wearing a straight musk oil just went on a 2 hour run and they haven’t taken their shower yet. worst perfume i’ve owned yet

Just got a purse spray of Cashmere Mist Essence, the top notes are a bit challenging to my nose, it is almost like there is oud in it, I think that spiciness comes from the marroccan jasmine, the sandalwood maybe, but not my favorite part,,.it is very woodsy to start with...then it settles into a very nice smooth skin scent....so the opening is kind of oriental, but that phase is short lived..the base is a smooth veil, really nice...now, I don't think I would get a bottle, although in winter, it would be very warm and enveloping., especially with that smooth amber in the base....for now, not rushing to buy it, but it is certainly well done, faithful to the other Cashmere versions...not the best in my opinion, but nicely done..

I got a sample of this..wore it to work and I have never had such a positive reaction...it lasted over 12hours on me..smells luxurious yet clean & warm

I just realized as I sprayed it that this was one of my mom’s signatures. She loves jasmine, but unfortunately I don’t.
