DKNY Be 100% Delicious

Pistacchio Pudding... This fluffy, floral vanilla scent opens with a burst of pear & pistachio with sweet, woody, powdery, fruity & citrus touches from mandarin & black-currant. The opening deepens into a magnolia, rose-water & orange-blossom heart, with velvety, powdery, aquatic, floral & green nuances, all resting on a tonka-woody base, with rich, powdery, nutty, vanilla & near-cherry facets. The magnolia & orange-blossom lend a fluffy, powdery, custard-like facet, and powdery tonka is more forward than the notes would suggest. The overall effect is more pistachio pudding than pistachio, as this isn't overly nutty, and it's odd to me that 'powdery' isn't listed in the main accords as I find this quite powdery, or fluffy from rose, orange-blossom & tonka. Overall: Beautiful, easy to wear, with average performance that improves with dark storage after first sprays. It's a love for me. Enjoy! Update 07/18/24: Sprayed this on the back of my hand after a shower today. There's a cool & creamy quality here with the pistacchio. It doesn't smell similar to other magnolia scents I've tried, but it does bring some creaminess. Like cold pistacchio pudding. So good.

This was $30 at Ross for the 100ml IMO amazing value. It's a little bit of this and a little bit of that- surprisingly very pleasant blend. Shampoo-ey at first but in the best way possible. I'm getting the slight nuttiness in the pistachio (one of my fave notes) , the pear is juicy, mandarin orange is my favorite citrus scent. This is just a love at first spritz. when I bought this I sprayed myself in the car. Hubs got in and immediately asked what I had on, what perfume is this. He said he loves the way this smells and that it's really mellow, smooth, and easy to be around. I once sampled Elysium Pour Femme on my arm once and he absolutely could not handle the scent of it - it was way too much for him. . And the price of that is $300+ ..I literally sprayed it once on the back of my hand.) I think he's sensitive to some smells but this DKNY one is easy for him-- and myself- to love. Sometimes I want a complex niche in your face perfume and then sometimes I just want something like this. I really love it and see this layering well with many of my other perfumes.. Particularly Amouages Guidance and/or Love Delight. Blind buy success 🙌

This smells pink, in a classy way. It's in the usual apple bottle, but it's not an apple scent. Oddly, about an hour after the opening I get a slight hint of watermelon 🍉 which is nowhere in the notes. For me it starts as semi-soapy florals like all the DKNY apple bottles, but I'm glad to say it calms down quickly into a soft, pink, floral fruity musk. White florals are primary, with that watermelon-esque center (I don't get any orange), and a vanilla that's clean, not sticky sweet--just enough to soften that floral edge. It's a pretty and safe spring/summer scent with respectable sillage and longevity. Overall a nice balance of floral and fruit with just a pinch of sweetness at the back. I would buy this again. *EDIT* I did buy this again, and it's grown on me so much that it's become a new spring go-to. The drydown on my skin develops into something beautiful that actually smells pricey and lingers softly, like an elegant but airy white musk with just the slightest hint of pink fruit. I'll keep buying as long as they keep making it. 🥰

The top notes of this perfume really remind me of the dearly departed "Leap!" by the Body Shop. That's a perfume I loved and wore in 1997. (Leap! is not in the Fragrantica database.) Something about this, perhaps the green pear laced with a touch of warmth from the pistachio, takes me right back there for a few minutes until it starts drying down. Lilith Fair, anyone? (If you know, you know....) This is warm and a little fruity at the same time without being super sweet, and I like that a lot. It's a little young for me, considering I'm old enough to remember Lilith Fair! It just so happens I'm looking forward to my order of L'Instant by Guerlain which this is compared to. (See the wonderful review below from Suzanne!). L'Instant may suit my age and station a little more, but I'll enjoy this pretty little apple and the memory of Leap! that it gives.

This fragrance is interesting at first, it's kind of soapy with a musk that really grounds the fruity notes, someone said it's like a shampoo smell and I totally agree. Unfortunately, after a couple hours on my skin it just smells vaguely sweet. Overall, for $20 it's a solid perfume. I can see it as being a good fragrance to layer as it's pretty subtle. Note that the atomizer kind of sucks 😭
