DKNY City for Women

08. january 2014 I must say since i srongly dislike anything from "DKNY be delicious" apple range (except for the merengue limited edition), i tend to overlook anything from this brand lately. I don ́t even want to know how many flankers they made nowdays. I tell you honestly, if it wouldn ́t be on sale, i wouldn ́t dare to buy it (there were no testers of this fragrance). Well, now i am really glad i did buy it! This is very grown up and mature scent, something reminds me of the latest "DKNY fall" tube, thanks to strong gardenia note. Indeed they share some notes, which are key notes and that ́s why i get the similar feeling. Yet this one is also quite different and i dare to say even better than the "DKNY fall" fragrance. It opens with a very optinistic and bright grapefruit adn currant notes. Very enjoyable! It get quickly accompanied by master gardenia, which enters the hall and stays there for a while, surpassing all the other notes. That ́s when it smells quite luxe, even my sister who is not a great nose said she fell in love with it and it is not heavy or suffocating at all. Fragrance later keeps playing with the notes, surpassing ones and dominating the others, just like chameleon. Yet this is a very taseful game of notes. it smells quite fresh in the middle stage, but not the kind of urban city freshness, synthetic and artificial, but to my nose a late spring garden freshness. I don ́t smell any oakmoss note in here, but musk is ok and doesn ́t disturb me much in here during the drydown stage. Great for autumn-spring time of the year, not sure if it would work on hot summer day though. Modrate (very much detectable) sillage and good lasting power. Add the super low price and you don ́t have to ask any more questions why am i so happy about it. I will buy the remains of it tomorrow, i red it is a travel exclusive, so it might get rare soon, i don ́t want to miss a chance. Would be very nice as well as a gift. P.S. I read that some people compare it to "Bright crystal" by Versace, well, it is nothing close to it. They smell actually very differnet, 100% sure. On russian Fragrantica, someone comapred it to Moschino ́s "Pink bouquet", which is a total disaster of fragrance, but "DKNY city" is actually gorgeous! Don ́t see much in common a all!

Fresh, feminine, modern, and active. Great for everyday use, especially in day time. The sillage is very soft, though. Anyway, overall I love it. :)

Body chemistry is so a strange and mysterious thing isn't it? Although I am not opposed to unisex or scents that run on the more masculine side, this one on me was straight up men's after shave. At initial spray particularly and even after dry down.

Yet another perfume that resembles the very popular Bright Crystal by Versace in yet another pink bottle! I think some smells are associated with certain colours.

to me this smells like jasmine. reminds me of Jet Femme by Avon in some way. it is adorable

This is femine, soft, powdery and woody drydown. I could've sworn there's rose in this.
