DKNY Men

This was my first designer perfume that it's why it's so memorable. It was a christmas gift from a good friend of mine an Anesthetist. I love this fragrance and so as my wife to me. I was looking for this everytime I visit a perfume house and couldn't find one. Sad to know today that this was discontinued. So dissapointed today that I made this first review. I finished 2 bottles of this perfume. This December of 2012 I found it in one of the shops here in Abu Dhabi, so this is my 3rd bottle. DKNY please return this perfume. This is a citrus but unique, clean and noncloying fragrancce. Suitable for the office or school and on summer weather either day or night. It has above average longevity and sillage for a citrus summer scent. I rate this 10/10 for me.

Someone that I was completely infatuated with for a year (when I was around the age of 19, 2005) wore this. We were good friends and it was an unrequited love, even if he did find me attractive and had no issues with leading me on for many months... In the end, my feelings for him completely died after I found out that he had been sleeping with my best friend. That quickly ended two of my friendships, lol. But it still didn't change my attachment to the fragrance. I simply love it. I wonder if it would be wrong of me to buy this for my fiance to wear? Haha.

Realy loved it when it came out in 2000 and got me quite some compliments. It’s starts fresh and becomes powdery sweet in a nice clean way. A while ago I bought a new bottle and it feels like it’s reformulated and a tad fresher than before. It now says Energizing on the box which wasn’t the case before I thought. Nontheless this doesn’t feels outdated at all an with 100ml for €30 nowadays, its almost a steal.

When I first smelt this in high school I knew I would always wear it. I can’t describe the smell but it’s an underrated cologne. It smells fantastic. For the price it is the best value for a beautiful smelling cologne buy it. Been wearing it off and on since 2000.

A very unique citrus tea smell, elegant and sporty, clean and simple , but has some sophistication , casual sunday mornings, but bussy office Mondays as well .. great memories .CH Chic took the idea and makes it warmer and ambery .

Great fragrance, for sunny autumn days, i would say. Though best known for their unforgettable man fragrance. I'm really sorry to tell you this, but DKNY discontinued.

One of my FAVS! Very citrusy, like grapefruit & vodka—very refreshing.

A somewhat more than passable budget vetiver. Eh, what? No vetiver? Really? Actually, I knew that before I logged on - and it's why I logged on: I've just discovered from the notes-list here that there is none in it! And I've been going round for I don't know how long thinking it's a vetiver! Maybe it's the ivy, then. If ivy is such a good substitute, that would be very handy, as ivy is actually a pest in some places. I suspect others can tell the difference, though. Let's say something about it then whilst I'm here. I agree with another reviewer that it's a bit sour, but not quite too sour - just sour enough to make it interesting. And the description of it as soapy and metallic fits also; but perhaps the 'metallic' is just the 'sour' from a different angle. I agree though that fortitude, either in projection or longevity terms, is not its strong-point. But it's not too bad in that respect, and at the end the day I would say it's a pretty decent budget perfume. Once it settles down the orange becomes very prominent, I am finding (on the basis of a back-of-hand test). This is about ten days later, and now that I've actually given this a fair chance by leaving a bottle of it where it's handy, I'm finding that I'm reaching for it with decreasing doubt, and really enjoying the opening, thinking "this is really a very decent fragrance!". Will continue leaving it handy. Whoops! Don't forgot it's now discontinued!

It doesn't surprise me to see this one so cheap to pick up, time hasn't really been kind to it. I think this would be a great gift for someone young, or starting out, I see the word generic multiple times, and it is, but it isn't bad, I just imagine that many fragrantica users explore different fragrances, I do. Compared to most it does smell a bit unsophisticated, but it's clean, fresh, and has a nice opening. I would have to ask, sandalwood, what sandalwood? I can't detect any. I'm surprised there are relatively so few reviews for it, and yet it has been around so long. I never really got into it when I was younger, I like it now, but wouldn't repurchase. Performance I e never thought to be great. It's a good starter fragrance.

I got a100 ml bottle of EDT as a birthday present. I’ve ticked like above because I don’t really dislike it. Having said that I rarely wear it because I have numerous others I have purchased that I just like so much more. It’s very generic, nothing really wrong with it just doesn’t wow me and not the type of fragrance I would have picked for myself. Just not my thing. I think blind buying for yourself is still way safer than blind gifting.

This was one of my very first perfume I bought, back in early 2000s. I remember to like it ALOT but I can't remember the smell. I just remember it was fresh and warm at the same time and yes I used to wear it before going to parties and clubs. At the time I was into house music and expensive designer clothes. I am sure if I can manage to smell this I would get so many of these memories back. :)

This fragrance is utterly unique. It must be the ivy and juniper that hints of an exotic herbal aroma; like a rue/ruta shrub. Fragrances like this and Narciso Rodriguez for Men are difficult to categorize. The dry down is soapy and hued with herbal elegance. This is a fragrance from an exotic and far-away imaginary place.

A decent scent, fresh spicy sums it up. Longevity is a bit of an issue with me, but that's the rub with a lot of these fragrances. "Adventure" by Davidoff is a similar frag (to my noise anyway) only with a bit more depth. Kudos goes to the design, the bottle looks lovely. All in All, Good but not essential.

This is good stuff, prominent but subtle orange note which makes it a great spring flavor. Performance is as good as everything else in this class, very inoffensive and safe for office. A beautiful buy

I wouldnt wear to night clubs/ pubs . Its to weak doesnt last long would wear around the house. maybe work Very strong smell of grapefruit.

Cook me up a stack of them there pancakes, cause I got a delicious DK maple syrup to pour on 'em. My favorite from DK,for men.

finally it's back in stock. one of the best warm weather fragrances ever. refreshing yet calming, semi-sweet. 9/10

A generic nice citrus with moderate longevity and silage. Pretty nondescript - It's OK

MILLENNIUM NIGHTCLUB Like Jaffa’s review same age same experience it’s refreshing And if I am not mistaken this was DK’s first edition of a men’s fragrance at the time of its release the packaging and the bottle certainly invoked that dynamic modern look I still remember the original launch campaign key department stores would have various people decked out in the DK apparel handing out samples. It is crisp and fresh and everything else you imagine it to be, it is a reasonably good fragrance it’s just that there are so many as others have said that is so much better if I still had a bottle current at the moment in my collection I can honestly say it would be at the bottom. I would sooner just have a shower slap some deodorant on and walk out the door rather than even spritzing this on 4/10 it’s good I have no idea if they still make it or indeed what the cost would be for it needless to say I wouldn’t blind buy this then again if it’s less than $20 you got nothing to lose except $20 LOL

An EDT with a citrus smell too-ESPCI, which behaves as a citric heavy, dense and formal nature, nevertheless reslata not much flavor and smell is loose and off. A smell suitable for teens under the age of 40 years. Too dense and a little spicy. It is not advisable to go out for more than one chance. I do not recommend.

Very generic fresh/spicy/citrusy scent with limited sillage and projection for summer. I've smelt this a million times before in cheap perfume stores. It is pleasant scent but not for those people who are into fragrances. Safe for a gift, safe for office.

I don't like this at all. Very generic, very non-descript, useless. I really don't get what the creator had in mind when creating this composition.

It smells like freshly shampooed, wet hair, but in a worse way. Some people might like the barbershop vibe, but not me.

I had it back in 2003ish and as a teenager it felt sophisticated and got it again just for nostalgic reasons. And I can confirm I am still hooked. A weirdly charming sourness, citruses with rosy-geranium-ish "Citronellol" is the main note that I get, together with slight hues of ionones (violets) and even coriander (could be Ethyl Linalool, which is a coriander-bergamot-floral ingredient). The notes listing must be trimmed down quite a lot for this one. I think it's a complex blend that in the end created its own thing. Very unique perfume and strongly disagree with other reviewers saying it's generic. You can pinpoint DKNY Men in no time amongst thousands of others. Performance is average, but it does the job good on the way to the beach/pool or just strolling around the city with tees and shorts.

This has been on my fragrance roster for more than decade now. Definitely one of my favorites. The only time I stopped wearing it was during the 2014-2015 period. My ex didn ́t like me to wear it cause it reminded him of HIS ex. Sadly I decided to accommodate him. Sigh! The scent reads very fresh and young to me. Whenever I wear it I feel like I'm myself and ready to stroll down 5th avenue and spend half my salary on clothes. Something that has been known to happen. This is one of those fragrances that seems to have been formulated specially for me. Givenchy Blue Label is another one that gives me this feeling.

This is a distinctive, spicy, powerful smell that I recognize out of thousands, and no surprise because I wore it for two years straight. My gf at the time loved it on me, so I purchased it 3x!!! although I was a bottle buff and never liked the bottle (what were they thinking?). This was the first men's fragrance I bought for myself. I have a bottle from the 2000 vintage, it lasts 6-8 hours, with a moderate to heavy sillage, depending on application. I apply it sparingly to my wrists for daytime wear. It is fresh, yet complex, and with my chemistry, dries down to a woody and slightly bittersweet citrus scent. The bottle reminds me of my first trip to Manhatten when we visited the North Tower. :'-(

I’m 42 years old. Bought this when I was 22 for the first time. It doesn’t smell dated or like everyone wore this back in the day. A hidden gem back then and nowadays as well. Same formula. Clean crisp with a twist. Interesting fact that back in the day one of ingredients was cilantro. And it made a difference and I can still wear it and not feel like I’m jumping in the crowd of people who follows trends. A classic

Really refreshing! aquatic, like rain in summer, clear and sparkling, vital and lively, I associate it with Emporio Armani White men, and DKNY goes for the same vein of Chevignon the Best, and Instinct by Beckham. Ideal for spring time mornings... I don't know if it lasts in the middle of summer because it is too cool and humid, but it is very comfortable and exquisite.

This smells as it is described: an urban freshness. Its most known rivals are for sure 212 Men, Azzaro Now Men and Davidoff Echo Men. They all have a certain soapy-metallic tone that does not smell bad at all. Unfortunately, this is not my type of cologne, it does not fit my skin and so I can't wear it, but I appreciate that its urban message.

So happy to have this again 🙂 after 20 years. Total nostalgia. I recently bought L'Oréal Men Expert Shirt Protect Deo Roller, it smells exactly like that. An hour later I looked this up and was pleased to see it was still in production. It just arrived. Still love it. And 30 euros! It lasts an hour but who cares 🙂 love!

I bought this last week at a well discounted clearance sale. Smells fresh and reminded me of giorgio armani lui, but at a cheaper price. Too bad, it doesnt last very long and almost no dry down, which is not good for someone eith dry skin like me. But i like to mix this with tar-ry armani diamond to give it a boost.

@diego.lesgart How certain are you of the resemblance to Emporio Armani white for him or her on this one? please explain further as we all know it is sadly discontinued the Armani white cologne. And we all are looking for a decent replacement. best regards

i have a 2012 made bottle and the longevity is only 1-2 hours max also sillage is very bad you have to be really close to get a whif. apart from the above cons i really like this fragrance.. anyway im not sure whether ill buy again.

I like wearing this fragrance during spring in the day time. This one is nice, fresh, and clean while still remaining a sweet masculine fragrance.

Fresh, slightly citrus scent but kind of generic and effortless, which makes it a perfect summer casual scent in my books.

I smell alot of dior homme sport vibe , less mandarin but too close , even i loved it more than dior , i have them both
