Liquid Cashmere Aqua

I purchased a large bottle blind, since I love all the other Liquid Cashmere scents. I was not disappointed! In fact, this has replaced LC Blush as my new favorite LC scent. Where Blush is warm, Aqua is cool. I wholeheartedly disagree with whomever chose & voted on the notes here. The top notes are slightly aquatic, but not "marine" aquatic, just fresh and clean aquatic. Either way, once dry it completely goes away and leaves behind the signature smooth cashmere, a hint of vanilla, musk, and amber. If you combined Vanilla Musk, Ange ou Demon, and the original Liquid Cashmere, you'd come close to LC Aqua. It's nothing groundbreaking or game-changing, but it's a beautiful, extremely wearable, feminine scent that lasts for ages on the skin without being overpowering. Perfect company to the original and her daughters. The bottle itself is also stunning. I was shocked to take it out of the box and find a gradient frosted glass bottom to a clear top. Similar to the LC White bottle in reverse, but not painted on. Gorgeous bottle. The current price is also gorgeous, and I'm glad I tried it out.

It smells fairly similar to the original Liquid Cashmere, which I owned years ago. It's a little lighter though due to the "sea notes" ... It isn't a typical marine fragrance. It's inoffensive but ... it is pretty boring, and the bottle is so simple it feels like a body spray or something.

Aqua is the newest and my favorite fragrance in the liquid cashmere line. While Sea notes are listed, to me this doesn't smell quite like the ocean itself, but ocean air, or the way your shampooed hair would smell after a day walking on the beach. The first few minutes are a little strange, there is a slight funkiness to it that made me apprehensive at first, but after a few minutes of allowing it to sit on my skin, that strange funkiness disappeared and I ended up really enjoying this. The aquatic nature comes mostly from the salt - there is a lot of saltiness and a little bit of sweetness from the florals. I don't get a lot of wood notes (these fragrance notes are so vague), but I may be losing them in the musk, which ends up being the most prominent aspect of this fragrance once it has settled down. Aqua starts off projecting strong for about an hour, but then it serves perfectly as a warm skin scent. I do think you have to appreciate aquatics to enjoy this - and due to the musk, I find this best suited for mild days. It's nothing terribly unique, but overall very pretty and elegant. Also, like the others in this line, this bottle is gorgeous and even more so in person. It's hard to tell in the photo, but the bottom starts off matte and opaque and gradates into a transparent glossy top and cap.

I tried it today, and I must say I like it a lot...I honestly don't get much salt in this scent, more a nice and not overdone aquatic vibe,,I like that it smells elegant, I would define it as a fresh floral, with an undertone of aquatic notes, and a warm soft musk that Donna Karan does so well....I find it pleasant, grown up, really nice...i just wish I could find it in 50 ml, my store only carries 100 ml..I am seriously considering buying it..it is lingering on my wrist in the prettiest way,.
