Daisy Love

Daisy Love has a subtle magic. It isn’t show stopping, it isn’t bold, but it is downright intoxicating. Perfect for a woman who is dreamy, intuitive, and intellectual, yet utterly feminine. It’s Picnic at Hanging Rock or The Virgin Suicides; girlish, but ultimately mysterious. Domestic florals meet wild, unpredictable forest scents. At first sniff, it may seem like a simple, pretty, office-safe perfume, but this is surprisingly the one that drives people wild. This is the head-turner, the one I get stopped in the street and asked about, the one that has strangers sniffing my hair. There’s just something so uniquely compelling about the combination of sensual cashmere musk and dreamy, innocent daisies. I’ve also never been able to pull off a marine scent, but the driftwood in this adds just the perfect veil of ambiguity. The top note of cloudberry is joyfully whimsical and smells on me like some sort of blackberry and rose combination - yet is not jammy. The woodiness prevents this. Rather, it reminds me of childhoods in gardens, picking fruit from bushes and laying near flowers. The dry down is powdery, but not in an “old lady” way; at hour 4, this is what I imagine old Spanish perfumes in romance novels must smell like. It stays close to the skin but trails behind. This is a perfect perfume for a girl or woman coming into her own, falling in love with herself as much as the world loves her.

Daisy Love is sweeter, not so 1-dimensional and doesn't disappear into thin air after 5 minutes. But still fresh, still floral, still soft, like the others. The sweet fruity opening is my favourite part that almost makes me believe I've found my perfect Daisy, yet it dries down more floral and green like the regular daisy dna we know (and that i don't love so much). Edit: when actually sampling this on its own- not at the same time as testing others in the Dasiy line, Daisy Love really REALLY stands out to me. Its predominantly sweet, followed by fruity, then a very delicate daisy floral withOUT smelling green. No sharpness, no laundry smell, barely even a shampoo smell, yet its still fresh and clean and just so nice. "Clean girl" perhaps for someone who doesnt want it to be her whole personality. I never thought id own a Marc Jacobs scent let alone a Dasiy flanker but... i do now! Its highkey exactly what i was looking for as an office scent predominantly, but sometimes a gym scent when i feel like it. Although it certainly is that basic kind of everyday every occasion inoffensive scent, this one truly is sweet enough to make me very happy. And its much more linear than I first thought too. I am SO glad i revisited this one. I think ive found a long term favourite :)

This perfume is me in a bottle, so I am sure I'm a little biased. I first smelled this when I sprayed the pen spray at Sephora and then for hours after, I kept smelling this amazing, mind-blowing aroma and all I knew was that it was a "Daisy" but not which one. It was like trying to find Cinderella after being left with only her shoe, but after hunting the Sephora website I found that most likely candidate to be Daisy love and I bought it. I can't describe the notes, I honestly don't know what any of the stuff described as "notes" on this perfume smells like, but I can describe the vibe this perfume gives off. It's bright, sweet but not in the vanilla sense, and DARING. It's "soft" compared to more mature "executive" type scents like Libre, yet its definitely making a statement. It's a Eau de Toilette but longevity is not a problem for me. Honestly I love this scent so much I don't give a fork about the longevity, but it lasts a really long time on me. It might be a me thing though since I don't have a problem getting fragrances to last.

Ok so one of the reviews here state that there have been 2 sets of notes released for the same fragrance and confusing everyone. This is not true, there is simply another flanker with nearly identical name and profile. Daisy Love Eau So Sweet is the one that has raspberry and musk in the notes, Daisy Love is the one with cloudberry. So it's easy to confuse those two since the bottles look the most similar and now I'm curious if some reviews here are about the same fragrance. About the scent: I love this! Especially in the opening, later on it turns into a more creamy and peachy scent which is still very nice and feminine. But at first it is so bright and sparkling, I sprayed this on my wrist while shopping at Boots, didn't expect much since original Daisy wasn't my thing, but this was such a beautiful blast of a fresh sweetness. Will have to test again before I fully make up my mind if I want a full bottle since my favorite part of this scent was short lived, but maybe it will work better sprayed on clothes instead of skin.

This perfume has one of the most crowd-pleasing fruity smells. I think this is definitely my favorite of the Daisy line. This fragrance is almost all cloudberry to my nose, and I think it both helps and hurts this perfume. On one hand, even though this smells almost entirely like cloudberry, most people aren't really familiar with that particular smell. There's a little bit of ambiguity in that sense. It smells fruity, but you can't put your finger on what fruit it is. And I think that makes the smell more interesting! On the other hand, because cloudberry makes up around 85% of this fragrance, and with it also being a top note, it goes away fairly quickly. I'd argue that this Daisy is one of the worst in terms of longevity because the note that makes this fragrance identifiable disappears after 30-45 minutes on my skin (although it may last longer for you!). Sort of a shame, and I'd also be doing you a disservice if I said it's worth full price.
